Abstract

Improving the quality of the assessment system is one of the initiatives aimed at improving education standards. A strong learning framework will produce high-quality education, encourage educators to develop effective teaching strategies, and inspire students to engage in their learning more effectively. Measurement, assessment, assessment and evaluation each have a different scope and focus. The method in this research is a literature study used to analyze the literature relevant to the research topic. This research does so by analyzing literature related to the concepts of measurement, evaluation and assessment in Islamic Religious Education. The scope of assessment is shorter and usually only limited to one element, such as student achievement, student activeness and so on. In addition, assessments are conducted and used by individuals involved or part of the system concerned. Evaluation is broader and covers all components of the system, such as the education system, curriculum and learning. This can be done by internal and external evaluation. Basically, student learning outcomes consist of three domains: cognitive, affective and psychomotor. It is expected that teachers can develop these areas well in every lesson. Evaluation activities are carried out to determine the development of these three areas.

Abstract

The entire set of actions taken to achieve a goal-from organizing to managing everything-is called administration. Exercises such as taking notes, writing letters, and other comparative exercises are undeniably referred to as administration. Every business, office, and organization has an arrangement framework because of this. Where professionals referred to as administrators or administrative staff carry out these responsibilities. The writing of this paper uses a concentration of writing on strategies with the method of gathering information through literature studies obtained from books, and articles in diaries related to the topic and discussion. The term "educational administration" can be used to describe the never-ending process that involves determining and implementing various strategies to provide efficient and effective education. Therefore, "the process of overseeing the acquisition, management, and evaluation of educational materials in educational institutions" is referred to as "educational administration". The phrase "instructional organization" alludes to the most common way of planning substitutes to perform various tasks to fulfill the instructional mission of the ongoing vital drive. The term "educational administration" comes from the combination of the words "administration" and "education", which are the two words that make up educational administration. In other words, educational administration is used in the field of education to enable the achievement of educational goals. This is the main purpose of educational administration.

Abstract

The establishment of Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM) is one of the essential elements in the educational evaluation system in Indonesia. KKM serves as a reference for determining the level of students’ competency achievement and helps teachers identify further learning needs. This study aims to analyze the implementation of KKM in learning practices, the factors influencing its determination, and its implications for the evaluation process and the improvement of education quality. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through interviews, documentation, and literature review. The analysis results indicate that KKM is often determined without optimal consideration of the complexity of the material, school support capacity, and the characteristics of the students. Furthermore, improper implementation of KKM may lead to discrepancies between evaluation results and students’ actual abilities. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding and collaboration among stakeholders are necessary in the establishment and implementation of KKM so that the learning evaluation can be conducted objectively and effectively to support the holistic achievement of student competencies.

Abstract

The question grid is a very crucial supporting instrument in the educational evaluation process. The grid functions as a systematic guideline to ensure that the questions compiled reflect the competencies to be achieved, the material that has been taught, and the appropriate cognitive level. With the grid, the compilation of questions becomes more focused, objective, and consistent with learning objectives. Evaluation research and practice show that the use of good grids can increase the validity and reliability of learning outcome measurement tools. Therefore, an understanding of the principles, components, and techniques for compiling grids is very important for educators and evaluation developers.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of innovative school leadership in promoting technology-based learning transformation to enhance educational quality. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed at SMK Karya Dharma 1 Trenggalek. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the principal implements innovative leadership by strengthening a digital vision, facilitating teacher professional development, and fostering a collaborative culture that supports innovation. The transformation of learning is reflected in increased use of digital technologies, diverse instructional strategies, and higher student engagement. Classroom interactions become more dynamic and student-centered. Several challenges emerge, including disparities in teachers’ digital literacy, limited infrastructure, and resistance to change. The principal addresses these challenges through continuous training programs and strategic resource management. The study concludes that innovative leadership plays a significant role in improving the quality of technology-based education in vocational schools and supports sustainable transformation in learning practices.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is a crucial foundation for shaping children’s intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and moral development. Islam places significant emphasis on children’s education from an early age, as outlined in the teachings of the Qur’an and the hadith. This article aims to analyze the concept of ECE from the perspective of the Qur’an and hadith, including the stages of child development, educational programs, learning methods and approaches, as well as its importance in the future development of education. This study employs a literature review method, utilizing data sources consisting of the Qur’an, hadith, books, and relevant scientific journal articles. Data analysis was conducted using a constructive and interpretive approach to the various sources examined. The findings indicate that the concept of ECE in Islam begins from the prenatal phase through childhood through the instillation of faith, the cultivation of worship, the development of character, compassion, and exemplary behavior. The Qur’an and hadith also provide guidelines regarding educational methods such as uswah hasanah, habit formation, storytelling, targhib wa tarhib, and a holistic approach to child development. Furthermore, early childhood education in Islam holds high urgency as the foundation for character formation and a civilizational investment in fostering a generation that is faithful, morally upright, and knowledgeable.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental element of life that plays a crucial role in shaping the personality, ethical values, and intellectual capacity of both individuals and society. Meanwhile, Islamic education does not focus solely on worldly matters but also aims to cultivate individuals who are God-fearing and possess noble character. In an increasingly diverse and complex era, the world of education faces various challenges, such as a moral crisis, a decline in values, and inequality in access to education. Therefore, the primary sources of Islamic teachings—the Qur’an and the Hadits—serve as the foundation and solution for Islamic education, as they contain profound and timeless educational principles. Thus, the objective of this study is to further explore the educational principles found in the Qur’an and Hadits and their relationship to education. The method used in this study is library research, which involves collecting books or works relevant to the topic under investigation. The results of this study indicate that the educational principles from the perspective of the Qur’an and Hadits consist of 1.) Sincerity, 2.) Justice and honesty in education, 3.) Lifelong education, 4.) Development of Fitrah, and 5.) The process of educational internalization.

Abstract

The use of interactive learning media such as Kahoot is an innovation to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools. This study aimed to determine the effect of using Kahoot media in Natural and Social Sciences learning on student learning outcomes in the food chain topic. The research employed a quantitative approach with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The subjects were 18 fifth-grade students of State Elementary School Lawangan Daya 3 Pamekasan. The instrument consisted of ten multiple-choice questions for both pretest and posttest. Data analysis was performed using a paired sample t-test with SPSS software. The results showed that the average pretest score was 41.67, which increased to 73.89 in the posttest, a gain of 32.22 points. The statistical test revealed a t-value of 10.447, higher than the t-table value of 2.1098, with a significance level of 0.000, leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. Therefore, there is a significant effect of using Kahoot media in Natural and Social Sciences learning on student learning outcomes. The use of Kahoot not only improves cognitive learning outcomes but also creates an active, enjoyable, and motivating learning atmosphere. Kahoot media is recommended as an alternative technology-based learning media in elementary schools.

Abstract

This article examines the concept of educational curriculum from the perspectives of two great medieval Islamic scholars, namely Ibn Taymiyyah (661-728 H/1263-1328 CE) and Ibn Qayyim al-Jauziyyah (691-751 H/1292-1350 CE). Both figures possessed comprehensive and systematic views on Islamic educational curriculum rooted in the Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah. This study employs library research methodology with historical-philosophical and comparative approaches. The findings reveal that Ibn Taymiyyah viewed the educational curriculum as necessarily grounded in shar’i sciences as its primary foundation, placing knowledge of Allah (ma’rifatullah) at the apex of the knowledge hierarchy, with greater emphasis on the shar’i-fiqhi dimension at the institutional level. Meanwhile, Ibn Qayyim further developed his teacher’s thought by placing stronger emphasis on the psychological, spiritual, and integrative dimensions of learning, and offering an elaborate account of gradual child education according to developmental stages. A fundamental difference between the two lies in orientation: Ibn Taymiyyah focused more on curriculum reform at the social-institutional level, while Ibn Qayyim delved more deeply into the process of value internalization at the individual and family levels. Both scholars agreed that the primary objective of Islamic educational curriculum is the formation of individuals who are firmly grounded in tawhid, possess noble character, and are capable of fulfilling their trust as vicegerents on earth. The relevance of both scholars’ thought to contemporary Islamic education is highly significant, particularly within the framework of knowledge integration, character education, and holistic Islamic curriculum reform.

Abstract

Islamic education views fitrah as the primary foundation for shaping a person’s character. This fitrah encompasses various elements, such as the desire to know God and to worship Him. The core objective of this article is to explore these profound differences in order to establish an educational paradigm that is appropriate, balanced, and respectful of humanity. The method used is library research, utilizing existing sources such as books, journals, encyclopedias, papers, articles, and documents. The research findings indicate that the concept of fitrah in Islam is related to the theories of nativism, empiricism, and convergence in explaining human development. Nativism emphasizes innate factors present from birth, empiricism focuses on environmental influences, while convergence combines both factors. The concept of fitrah acknowledges the existence of human potential as well as the importance of the role of the environment and education in developing that potential. However, fitrah has a broader scope because it also considers freedom of choice, individual effort, moral responsibility, and Allah’s guidance. Thus, the concept of fitrah provides a more complete and comprehensive understanding of the formation of human personality from an Islamic educational perspective.
