Abstract

This study examines the role of information technology (IT) in improving the performance of rural enterprises, with a specific focus on Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Banten Province, Indonesia. While digital transformation has reshaped business practices, many rural enterprises continue to rely on manual systems, limiting efficiency, transparency, and competitiveness. This study adopts a qualitative narrative literature review approach to synthesize existing knowledge on IT adoption and organizational performance in rural enterprise contexts. The review draws on approximately 30–40 academic sources published between 2014 and 2026, including peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and institutional reports retrieved from databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and SINTA. Data were analyzed using content and thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns and conceptual relationships. The review identifies four dominant themes linking IT adoption to rural enterprise performance: operational efficiency, data-informed decision-making, financial transparency, and business competitiveness. Rather than providing direct empirical evidence, this study integrates prior findings to develop a conceptual framework that explains how IT contributes to performance improvement under varying levels of digital readiness. The study contributes by offering a synthesized and integrative perspective on IT adoption in rural enterprises and by proposing a framework that highlights the roles of digital literacy, infrastructure readiness, and institutional support as enabling conditions. However, as a literature-based review, this study does not establish causal relationships and should be interpreted as a conceptual foundation that requires further empirical validation.

Abstract

This study conducts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on public sector audit recommendations using the PRISMA framework. From an initial pool of approximately 730 articles, a total of 60 articles (30 Scopus and 30 Google Scholar) published between 2000 and 2025 were selected based on predefined criteria. However, no formal quality appraisal was conducted; thus, the findings reflect aggregated evidence rather than weighted conclusions. Thematic analysis identifies five dominant themes: follow-up effectiveness, determinants of implementation, corruption prevention, the role of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs), and performance auditing. These themes emerged from recurring patterns across studies. The findings indicate that audit recommendation follow-up is predominantly associated with improvements in financial reporting quality and public accountability, although some studies report null or context-dependent results. Institutional factors particularly leadership commitment, auditor competence, and audit independence are key determinants. While international and Indonesian studies show broadly similar patterns, the dominance of Indonesian evidence limits generalizability. This review provides a structured synthesis but should be interpreted as indicative rather than causal.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the need to stimulate early childhood learning through culturally grounded educational games to improve reading readiness in kindergarten settings. The introduction of reading concepts through culturally familiar and engaging media is believed to support early literacy development in a more meaningful way. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research subjects were Grade B students of TK Sani Ashilla, Padang City. A small group trial involved 10 children in one class, and a field trial involved 23 children across two classes. The findings indicate that the educational game product received a content expert validation score of 100% (Very Valid), a Minangkabau cultural expert validation score of 87% (Very Valid), and a media expert validation score of 73% (Valid). The practicality test yielded a score of 95.5% (Very Practical), while the effectiveness test yielded a score of 88.52% (Effective). Based on these results, the Minangkabau culture-based educational game is declared suitable for use as an instructional medium for early childhood reading readiness.

Abstract

Early reading literacy skills of early childhood children at Az-Zahra Islamic School Kindergarten have not developed optimally due to reliance on conventional media that is less interactive and varied. This study aims to: (1) measure the validity level of the developed digital-based children's storybook; (2) determine the level of practicality of its use by PAUD teachers; and (3) evaluate its effectiveness in improving early reading literacy of children aged 5–6 years. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects were 60 children aged 5–6 years from three PAUD institutions, with 19 children as the main effectiveness test subjects. The product was developed using the Canva and Heyzine Flipbook platforms, containing audio narration, animation, and interactive illustrations integrated with the character value of tolerance. Validation was carried out by two expert validators from Padang State University. The validation results showed an average of 92% (media experts: 90%; instrument experts: 94%), categorized as Very Valid. The practicality test obtained a score of 95% (Very Practical). Effectiveness testing showed an increase from 82% in the initial trial to 91% in full implementation, with 84% of children (16 of 19) achieving the Very Well Developed (BSB) category. These findings confirm that the developed digital storybook is valid, practical, and effective in supporting early childhood reading literacy, as well as relevant to the implementation of the Independent Curriculum.
