Abstract

21st century education requires students to have a variety of skills, including critical thinking. One effective learning method to improve students' critical thinking skills is Role Playing. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of applying the Role Playing method in improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills. This research uses library methods by collecting data from various sources such as books, scientific journals and online articles. Data were analyzed descriptively to understand the effectiveness of the Role Playing method in improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills. Discussion Results The Role Playing Method is a learning method that involves students in playing roles to simulate certain situations. This method has several benefits for students, including: Training students to think openly, Helping students in making decisions, Improving students' academic achievement, Helping students develop emotional intelligence, Improving students' language skills. Based on a literature review, the Role Playing method has been proven to be effective in improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills. This method can help students to develop various important skills for the 21st century

Abstract

This article highlights the important role of infographic and quizizz media development which aims to produce infographic and Quizizz media and the feasibility of using this media in learning Islamic justice material and its wisdom in class XI students at MA darul ulum. Islamic justice is an important aspect of understanding the Islamic legal system that is relevant in everyday life. In today's global era, the use of interactive media is needed to improve student understanding and make learning more interesting. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the HANNAFIN and PECK models. The development process begins with the student needs assessment stage, followed by the infographic media design stage which emphasizes information about Islamic justice and its wisdom, and the function of justice functions. The third stage is the development and implementation of infographic media and quizizzes for class XI students at MA darul ulum. In addition, Quizizz is also used as an assessment tool that allows students to actively participate through interactive questions. Data collection techniques in this study were survey, observation, documentation and interviews. Judging from the survey in the form of questions on the quizizz media, the evaluation results show that the use of infographic media and Quizizz can significantly improve students' understanding of the material on Islamic justice and its wisdom.

Abstract

Madrasahs play a strategic role in Indonesia's Islamic education system, particularly in aligning religious and general education. This study aims to explore policy issues and management practices affecting the development of Islamic education in madrasahs. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach. Data were gathered from various literatures, scientific journals, and official documents related to madrasah policy and management. The findings reveal that madrasahs face numerous challenges, including limited funding, inadequate facilities, and gaps in teacher quality. Islamic education policies integrating religious and general curricula require greater government support, particularly in terms of regulations and funding. Effective madrasah management is also crucial to achieving Islamic education goals, such as character building, academic excellence, and preserving Islamic values. This study underscores the importance of collaboration among the government, community, and madrasahs in addressing these challenges. With proper management and supportive policies, madrasahs can play a strategic role in shaping academically competent and spiritually faithful generations.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe data on learning styles, learning independence, emotional intelligence, and mathematics learning achievement (2) determine the direct, indirect, and total effects of learning styles, learning independence, and emotional intelligence on the mathematics learning achievement of grade XI IPA students at MAN 1 Banjarmasin in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is a field research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were grade XI IPA students at MAN 1 Banjarmasin in the 2022/2023 academic year. The sample in this study consisted of all 101 students of class XI IPA MAN 1 Banjarmasin in the 2022/2023 academic year, and the sample was taken using saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques included Likert scale questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis techniques used in this study were descriptive statistics and classical assumption prerequisite tests, namely normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and autocorrelation test, as well as path analysis assisted by Lisrel 8.80 software. The results of this study indicate that (1) learning style, learning independence, and emotional intelligence in the good category are positively correlated with students' mathematics learning achievement in the moderate category. (2) There is a significant direct, indirect, and total influence between learning style, learning independence, and emotional intelligence on students' mathematics learning achievement in Grade XI IPA MAN 1 Banjarmasin Academic Year 2022/2023.

Abstract

This study analyzes teachers' ability to integrate Indonesian teaching materials with the learning needs of fifth-grade students at MI Quba Kota Sorong. The research utilized a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, conducted from April 22 to July 15, 2024, using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data were validated using source triangulation and coding techniques, while data analysis was performed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The results reveal several challenges teachers face in integrating Indonesian teaching materials with students' learning needs, including frequent curriculum changes that reduce teachers' focus on teaching, limited instructional time, ineffective learning strategies, a lack of reading materials for students, and the need for intensive and continuous teacher training. These factors hinder the integration process. Proposed solutions include conducting regular curriculum evaluations to achieve effective teaching with a focus on core materials. The use of read- aloud techniques can help with time management and maintaining student focus. Additionally, findings show that students prefer learning activities that involve games, songs, and pictures, which could serve as a foundation for Indonesian language teaching strategies at MI Quba Kota Sorong. This study recommends providing additional reading facilities and recruiting more teachers to ensure that each subject is taught by a dedicated teacher. The use of the SMART Goals method can help set specific and achievable learning objectives. These findings provide an overview for other SD/MI institutions to streamline their curriculum so that teaching materials better meet students' learning needs.

Abstract

Conflict in Islamic educational institutions is a complex issue and needs to be managed well to create a harmonious learning environment. In this context, education serves not only as a process of knowledge transfer, but also as a means of individual character building in society. Conflict can arise from a variety of sources, including disagreements over curriculum, leadership, and cultural and ideological differences among students and teachers This research aims to explore the definition of conflict and how it is managed in Islamic educational institutions. Several definitions of conflict have been put forward by management and psychology experts, suggesting that conflict can be positive or negative depending on how it is managed. The objectives of conflict management in Islamic education institutions include creating a harmonious environment, improving communication and maintaining focus on educational goals The types of conflicts that often occur in Islamic education institutions include conflicts over curriculum, leadership, between teachers and students, and financial issues. Conflict resolution can be done through the principles of deliberation, mediation, strengthening character education, and improving communication and fair leadership. With the right approach, educational institutions can manage conflicts constructively and improve the quality of education The importance of parental involvement and policy evaluation is also emphasized as a preventive measure. So In conclusion, effective conflict management not only prevents disputes but also supports better achievement of educational goals

Abstract

Efforts by Islamic Religious Education Teachers to Increase Learning Concentration for Class IV Students at SD Negeri 15 Ampang Gadang; This research discusses the strategies of Islamic religious teachers in increasing the level of student learning concentration in class IV of SD Negeri 15 Ampang Gadang. This research aims to describe the efforts made by Islamic teachers to increase the learning concentration of class IV students. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through structured interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research show that the efforts of Islamic religious teachers include cleaning and preparing students before entering class, getting used to praying and reading short surahs before starting learning, using interesting learning media to foster interest in learning, implementing interactive and fun teaching methods, and creating a learning environment. which is conducive

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of class XII Social Sciences students at SMAK Santo Mikhael Solor using the Cooperative Learning model type Snowball Throwing. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This CAR is used by researchers to find out the problems that occur in the classroom and find solutions to overcome the problems that occur. The location was at SMAK Santo Mikhael Solor, Lewonama Village, West Solor District, East Flores Regency-NTT. The subjects were 22 class XII IIS students of 5 male students and 18 female students. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and tests. The results of the study were pre-cycle average outcome scores of 46.72, there were 2 students who completed with a percentage 9% while those who incomplete were 20 people with a percentage 91%. While cycle 1 there were 4 students who incomplete with a percentage 18% and those who complete were 18 students with a percentage 81%. And cycle 2 there were all students who complete with a percentage 100%. Thus, the use of the Cooperative Learning model type Snowball Throwing can improve the learning outcomes of students in class XII IIS SMAK Santo Mikhael Solor.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of students in class XI MIA SMAK St. James Rasul Lewoleba through the discussion method. This type of research is Kleas Action Research (PTK). The location of this research is at SMAK St. James Rasul Lewoleba, East Lewoleba Village, Lembata-NTT Regency. The students of this study are students of class XI MIA with a total of 17 students and teachers as researchers or observers, this research was carried out in September 2024. The data collection techniques used are observation, tests, and interviews. The results of this study show that in cycle 1, teacher activities get an average score of 2.49 with a fairly good category, student activities get a total score of 32, and an average score of 2.46 with a fairly good category. Then in the second cycle, teacher activities obtained a total score of 66, and an average score of 3.3 with a very good category. Meanwhile, the students' activities received a total score of 51, and an average score of 12.75 with a very good category. The learning outcomes of students in cycle 1 obtained a completeness score of 35% with an incomplete score of 64%. Meanwhile, the learning results in cycle II obtained a 100% completeness score. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an increase in student teaching results by using the kelmpok discussion method in class XI MIA SMAK St. James Rasul Lewoleba.
