Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of observations found in the pandemic era, namely that there are still many educators who have difficulty in carrying out the teaching and learning process, which is caused by the limited face-to-face learning process where some learning is done online, thus making educators have to be careful in choosing learning models. to increase students' willingness to learn. This study aims to examine whether the learning outcomes of students who are taught using the Blended Learning model are higher than the learning outcomes of students who are taught using direct learning on algebraic forms of material. This research is in the form of an experiment with a quasi-experimental type and the design used in this study is the Posttest Only Control Group Design. The sample is part of the population. The sample of this study was taken 2 classes randomly, namely class VII B as the experimental class applied the Blended Learning model and class VII A as the control class using direct learning. The results of the study were analyzed using a t-test with a significance level of 0.05 is indicated by the calculated 7.191967906 > Ttable=2.009575237 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Blended Learning model affects student learning outcomes in algebraic forms of material.

Abstract

This research aims (1) to find out how to improve students' PKN learning outcomes on Economic Diversity Material in class VI SDN 05 Bilah Hilir, Bilah Hilir District, Labuhanbatu Regency (2) To find out how PKN learning activities on Economic Diversity Material apply the discussion method in class VI SDN 05 Bilah Hilir, Bilah Hilir District, Labuhanbatu Regency. This research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects in this research were 29 class VI students at SDN 05 Bilah Hilir, consisting of 17 boys and 12 girls. The research object studied was PKN learning in an effort to improve student learning outcomes through the use of discussion methods. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in PKN learning outcomes in Economic Diversity Material through learning using the discussion method in class VI SDN 05 Bilah Hilir, Bilah Hilir District, Labuhanbatu Regency, Academic Year 2022/2023. From the initial condition to the final condition, there was an increase in learning outcomes from an average of 53.45% in the initial test to 73.79% in cycle I, while in cycle I it was 73.79% to 85.52% in cycle II. In the learning process there is also improvement. In the final condition, students were more active in PKN learning on economic diversity material, while based on learning completeness, in the initial test it was 44.83% to 79.31% in cycle I, in cycle I classical completion was 79.31% to 89.66% . In the initial test and cycle I learning, an increase in the completeness of student learning outcomes was 34.48% (44.83% to 79.31%), while the increase in the class average was 20.34% (53.45% to 73.79 %). In learning cycle I and cycle II, the increase in the completeness of student learning outcomes was 10.35% (79.31% to 89.66%), while the increase in the class average was 11.73% (73.79% to 85.52 %). In cycle I, teacher observation results reached 18.19% (from 70.45% to 88.64%), while students increased by 14.28% (from 71.43% to 85.71%).

Abstract

This study aims to examine whether the learning outcomes of students who are taught using the Contextual Teaching and Learning model are higher than the learning outcomes of students who are taught using direct learning on opportunity material. This research method is a quasi- experimental design with Posttest only Control Design with a model for context-based learning and instruction and a direct learning model. The results of the Lilliefors test and t-test showed that the data were normally distributed and the final scores of the students of class VIII A as the experimental class and VIII B as the control class had substantial variations in the average score. The results were analyzed using t-test with a significance level of = 0.05 is Tcount = 2.06336 > Ttable = 2.01063 so that H_0 is rejected and H_1 is accepted. Thus the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model has an effect on students' ability to solve Opportunity questions at St. Catholic Junior High School. Johanis Laikit.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve poetry writing skills through Think Pair Share Square (TPSS) cooperative learning for class IX G MTsN 2 Tanah Laut students. This research was conducted for one semester. The method used is classroom action research which consists of two cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing action and reflection. The results of this study indicate an increase in students' understanding of class IX G MTsN 2 Tanah Laut on the subject of poetry writing skills using a think pair share square type cooperative model. Student learning outcomes in the first cycle of learning activities averaged 69.8 with a classical completeness of 54.4% and increased to an average of 82.3 in the second cycle with 94.2% classical completeness. Student activity during learning activities increased from 53.6% in the first cycle to an average of 81.5% in the second cycle with good categories. Teacher activity has increased from an average of 3.4 with a very good category in the first cycle to an average of 3.7 with a very good category in the second cycle and there are positive student responses to the implementation of the think pair share square type cooperative model.

Abstract

This study aims to increase the activity and learning outcomes of economics class XII IPS Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Insan Cendekia Tanah Laut through the use of the Snowball Throwing learning method in economic subjects for the 2018/2019 academic year. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was conducted in two cycles. The first cycle consisted of two meetings and the second cycle consisted of one meeting. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The subjects in this study were students of class XII IPS, totaling 22 students. The success indicator in this study is if 75% of students are actively involved in learning and there is also an increase in learning outcomes in each cycle through the post test and if 75% of students can achieve the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) determined by the school, which is 75. The results showed that with the application of the Snowball Throwing method in class XII IPS, the students' learning activeness scores on each indicator overall increased by 19.17%, from an average of 60% in the first cycle and became 79.17% in the second cycle. The increase in mastery of student learning outcomes increased from the first cycle as much as 74% to 84%. Thus, student learning outcomes have reached the KKM score in cycle II

Abstract

Education is very important to increase the potential and abilities of each person, so that they are able to face developments and changes that occur. Mathematics education is given with the aim that students can adapt to the rapid development of the world. Through the right learning model will produce good learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the learning outcomes taught with the Osborn learning model are higher than those using the conventional learning model with the lecture method. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type of research. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis, normality test, and Mann Whitney test which is processed using the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) program. The results of this study show that student learning outcomes using the Osborn learning model are higher than those using the conventional model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see the difference in the average learning outcomes of mathematics in statistics materials using the Problem Based Learning learning model and the direct learning model. The type of research used is pseudo-experimentation. The research design used is The Matching Only Posttest Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 2 normal and homogeneous classes determined through lottery, class VIII A totaled 16 students as an experimental class and class VIII B totaled 16 students as a control class located at Rurukan Christian Junior High School in Tomohon city. The average statistical learning outcomes of experimental class students were 83.63 and the average learning outcomes of control class students were 78.44. The study statistics used a t-test with tcount = 3.44 > ttable = 1.69 with a real level of α = 0.05. It is concluded that the average learning outcomes using the Problem Based Learning learning model are more than the average learning outcomes using the direct learning model.

Abstract

English The study aims to analyze the types of errors made by students in solving algebraic operations material questions for class VII SMP Dominico Savio Manado and to find out the factors that cause students to make these mistakes. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were carried out by giving tests and inetrviews. The results of the analysis in this study indicate the types of errors made by class VII students of SMP Dominico Savio Manado in solving problems on the operation material of algebric forms, namely conceptual errors of 66,67%, procedural errors of 55,55%, and computational errors 83,33%. The factors that cause students to make mistakes, namely students do not understand the meaning of the questions given, students are less careful in performing arithmetic operations, and students are in a hurry to solve questions abaout operations in algebraic forms.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of the use of social media, especially YouTube on the mathematics learning outcomes of SMP Negeri 1 Pusomaen students. The social media youtube is the largest video presenter in the world today which contains all types of videos. Most of the students of SMP Negeri 1 Pusomen admitted that they prefer to use YouTube social media when they are at school rather than studying, besides that mathematics subjects are less attractive to students because they are considered very boring, making students rarely study when they are at home. Mathematics learning that is less attractive to students and excessive use of social media during class hours results in student learning outcomes that are still below the KKM. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are observation, questionnaires/questionnaires, and interviews. Data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of the study at the time of observation showed that students had various reasons for using YouTube social media, but almost all of the students who were sampled very often used this social media anywhere and anytime, including at school when learning took place. The frequent use of social media by students has an impact on students' mathematics learning outcomes. The distributed questionnaire score data also shows that students really like YouTube social media with a percentage of 56% in the response aspect, and 54% in the reaction aspect. At the time of the research, the researcher tried to find out more about the impact of using YouTube social media on student learning outcomes, by making YouTube social media a learning resource, and it was found that students were very enthusiastic during the learning process and the learning outcomes obtained were 88 out of 100 students. have finished studying. This makes the use of YouTube social media a positive impact if used properly. So, the conclusion that can be drawn from the implementation of this research is that the use of appropriate social media has a positive impact on the mathematics learning outcomes of SMP Negeri 1 Pusomaen students and has a negative impact on student learning outcomes if it is used excessively and not as a learning resource.

Abstract

A system of two-variable linear equations (SPLDV) is a system or entity of several similar two- variable linear equations. This study aims to determine student errors in completing the Newman Theory Two-variable Linear Equation System material. The method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Of the 5 questions given, 2 numbers were answered correctly, namely number 2 and number 5. In this study, 5 respondents were selected who made mistakes in solving the two-variable system of equations to be interviewed about the questions that had been given. Of the five types of student errors according to Newman's Theory in solving system problems of linear equations, two errors that often occur are errors in writing the final answer with a percentage of 49%, then process skill errors with a percentage of 47%, errors in understanding questions with a percentage of 32%, reading error with a percentage of 13% and the last transformation error with a percentage of 10%.
