Abstract

The science of monotheism is the main foundation in Islamic teachings which discuss the oneness of Allah SWT and his relationship with humans and the universe. In the context of education, the science of monotheism has a strategic role as a basis for values, morals and learning goals. This article aims to examine the relationship between monotheism and education by referring to several classical and contemporary books and literature. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive-analytical approach. The results of the research show that the integration of monotheistic knowledge in education is able to form the  character of students who are faithful, have noble character, and have a balance between intellectual, spiritual and social intelligence. The integration of the science of tawhid into the educational curriculum Is not merely an addition of cognitive content, but rather a transformation of the educational paradigm centered on lillāh (for the sake of Allah). Tawhid functions as a moral regulator (ethics) and a source of meaning for every discipline of knowledge. The implementation of tawhid in education has been proven to shape the holistic character of learners, namely individuals who possess strong faith and noble moral character

Abstract

Tauhid education plays a crucial role in Islamic education, as it serves as the primary foundation for shaping students' character and personality. Tauhid is not merely understood as a theological aspect, but also as a value that guides individuals' thought patterns, attitudes, and behaviors in daily life. In the current era of massive globalization, Tauhid education and Islamic character education are interconnected. Given that globalization erodes individual moral and spiritual values, this study aims to analyze the role and contribution of Tauhid education in strengthening Islamic character education, as well as how the process of internalizing Tauhid values ​​can shape a young generation with noble character. The research method used is a literature review with qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. Using various sources from books, national journals, and international journals. The results of the study indicate that Tauhid education serves as a moral and spiritual foundation, capable of fostering awareness of the kappa of Allah SWT, an attitude of responsibility, honesty, discipline, sincerity, and social concern. Thus, Tauhid education needs to be implemented comprehensively in all aspects of education to create a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also spiritually intelligent

Abstract

This study examines a model of educational supervision and evaluation as a strategic approach to enhancing institutional performance in developing pesantren. The urgency of this research lies in the need for developing pesantren to implement structured supervision and evaluation systems in order to ensure effective governance, educational quality, and institutional accountability amid social and educational policy changes. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach by analyzing literature on educational management, supervision, evaluation, and pesantren governance. The discussion focuses on concepts, principles, and models of supervision and evaluation relevant to the characteristics of developing pesantren, including internal supervision, performance evaluation, and institutional leadership roles. The findings indicate that systematic supervision and evaluation function as mechanisms for quality control, continuous improvement, and the strengthening of organizational culture within pesantren institutions. The implications of this study highlight that the implementation of adaptive and contextual supervision and evaluation models contributes to improved institutional performance of developing pesantren in managerial, academic, and Islamic educational value dimensions.

Abstract

This research focuses on creating a learning tool in the shape of an interactive game named GABATA (Gembira Tanda Baca), inspired by the cultural heritage of Kudus, to help second-grade elementary students grasp punctuation in their Indonesian language education. The motivation for this study stems from the inadequate comprehension of punctuation among students and the scarcity of interactive and relevant educational resources. The approach taken in this research was based on the Research and Development (RandD) framework, employing the ADDIE model, which encompasses analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants consisted of second-grade learners from SD Negeri 3 Barongan Kudus, along with validators including media specialists, subject matter experts, and linguists. Information was gathered through various questionnaires for validation and feedback from both teachers and students to evaluate the suitability and usability of the educational tool. The findings revealed that the GABATA media received a feasibility rating of 85. 58% from media specialists and 82. 69% from subject matter specialists, both considered very suitable. Additionally, the results from the practicality assessment showed a teacher feedback score of 96. 88%, while student feedback varied between 92. 5% and 100%, which is categorized as very practical. These results suggest that the GABATA interactive game, rooted in the cultural wisdom of Kudus, is highly appropriate and effective as an educational resource for teaching punctuation to elementary students..

Abstract

Modern Islamic education faces significant challenges in responding to the dynamics of globalisation, technological developments, and changes in pedagogical paradigms, without losing its fundamental values. The value of tawhid as the core of Islamic teachings has a strategic role in shaping an educational orientation that not only emphasises academic achievement but also character building and moral responsibility of students. This article aims to critically review the academic literature related to the integration of tauhid values in modern Islamic education, with a focus on innovative learning methods and global challenges that affect its implementation. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research methods on reputable journal articles published in the last five years and indexed by Scopus. Data analysis was conducted through thematic analysis to identify patterns, main concepts, and key findings in the literature. The results of the study indicate that effective integration of tauhid values requires a holistic approach, in which tauhid functions as a worldview and ethical foundation in educational objectives, learning design, and character building of students. Technology-based learning innovations and participatory pedagogy provide great opportunities for Islamic education, but need to be guided by tauhid values so as not to get caught up in pragmatic and secular approaches. In addition, globalisation requires Islamic education to develop adaptive and critical strategies in dealing with pluralism of values, digital space, and citizenship issues. This study provides theoretical contributions to the development of a contemporary Islamic education paradigm as well as practical implications for administrators and educators in designing Islamic education that is relevant, sustainable, and rooted in the values of tauhid

Abstract

The research objectives in this study provide strategies in overcoming Islamic school marketing in a non-Muslim society. The object of this research is located at MTs Al-Ma'arif Badung Bali which operates in a non-Muslim community. The method used in this research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. While collecting this data by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using an interactive model. This data analysis model consists of: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the discussion of this study are the Perceptions of Non-Muslim Communities towards Islamic Schools, namely that non-Muslim communities often have negative perceptions of Islamic schools due to fears of discrimination and lack of correct information, the influence of Social Media in Marketing Islamic Schools, namely social media plays an important role in providing relevant and reliable information for parents, as well as assisting schools in delivering their marketing messages more effectively and inclusively, and Collaboration between schools is very influential in increasing understanding and respect for differences, which shows the effectiveness of collaborative projects in reducing conflict and improving relationships between students

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Islamic boarding school leadership patterns in shaping Islamic character and global readiness among students at the Nahdlatuth Thulab Islamic Boarding School. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation studies involving boarding school administrators, teaching staff, administrative staff, and senior students. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive analysis model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data condensation, data presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The research results indicate that the leadership style at the Nahdlatuth Thulab Islamic Boarding School is integrative, combining religious values ​​with a structured institutional system. This leadership style plays an effective role in shaping the Islamic character of students through the instilling of faith, piety, noble morals, discipline, and responsibility. Furthermore, the leadership of the Islamic boarding school also contributes to preparing students for global readiness by strengthening their learning ethos, independence, adaptability, and educational management that is responsive to current developments without losing the Islamic boarding school's identity. This research concludes that the leadership style of the Islamic boarding school plays a strategic role as a bridge between tradition and modernity, enabling the boarding school to produce students with Islamic character and global competitiveness

Abstract

This article examines Ivan Illich’s critical thought on the modern education system as presented in his work Deschooling Society. Illich offers a radical critique of the dominance of schools as the primary institution of learning, which he argues has obscured the meaning of learning as a natural, social, and emancipatory process. According to Illich, institutionalized education creates individual dependence on formal certification and reproduces social inequality through claims of meritocracy. This article analyzes Illich’s view of schools as instruments of social domination that legitimize class stratification and restrict freedom in learning. Using a critical analytical approach, this paper also discusses the relevance and limitations of the deschooling society concept in the context of contemporary education. Although often considered utopian and difficult to implement comprehensively, Illich’s ideas provide an important critical reflection for promoting more humanistic, democratic, and contextual educational reforms

Abstract

This study aims to identify the impacts of gadget use on early childhood and elementary school children. In the current digital era, gadgets play an important role in learning activities and access to information. However, improper and excessive use of gadgets may lead to dependency among children. The phenomenon observed today clearly indicates that many children experience gadget addiction, which can hinder the learning process. The research method employed in this study is a literature study, conducted by collecting and analyzing data from scientific journals, books, and relevant previous studies related to the research topic. The results show that many early childhood children experience gadget dependency, which affects various aspects of development, including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, as well as behavioral changes. Social impacts include a decline in children’s interaction and communication skills with their surrounding environment. Excessive gadget use can also reduce children’s concentration and thinking abilities. Therefore, parental supervision and education regarding appropriate gadget use for elementary school children are essential, along with limiting gadget usage to support optimal child development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the decline in literacy and numeracy skills in elementary school children. Literacy and numeracy are basic skills that are very important for students in the learning process. However, in practice, there are still many elementary school students who have difficulties in reading, writing, and arithmetic. The research method used is a data collection method with Literature study techniques. The results of the study show that the decline in literacy and numeracy is influenced by pedagogical, social, technological, and educational policy factors. Therefore, collaboration between schools, families, and the government is needed to improve the quality of literacy and numeracy of students
