Abstract

This journal aims to describe and analyze the deviant behavior carried out by students in grade V as well as the efforts made by teachers in overcoming deviant behavior of students at State Elementary School 15 Perigi Parit, Teluk Keramat District. This study uses a qualitative research approach with a descriptive research type. The data collection technique in this study uses interview and observation techniques. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, and conclusion drawn. The results of this study show that: 1. Deviant behavior committed by students in grade V at State Elementary School 15 Perigi Parit, Teluk Keramat District in the form of taking or stealing friends' money. 2. The efforts made by teachers in overcoming deviant behavior of students at State Elementary School 15 Perigi Parit are first, preventive actions through Monday ceremony activities, Quranic reading activities, congregational prayers, and the provision of discipline to students. The second curative action is by providing advice, direction, guidance, approaches to students, and giving special attention to students with problems. The repressive effort here is by giving sanctions to students in the form of cleaning, additional assignments, as well as warning letters, and letters of appeal to parents

Abstract

Emotional development is a crucial aspect of child developmental psychology, influencing behavior, social interactions, and learning readiness. A common problem is the limited understanding of children's emotional development stages and the factors that influence them among parents and educators. Consequently, children's emotions are not optimally managed. This article aims to examine children's emotional development from a developmental psychology perspective, encompassing the definition of emotion, the stages of emotional development, and its implications for children's social and educational development. The research method used is a literature review, analyzing various sources, including developmental psychology textbooks, scientific journal articles, and relevant previous research. The study's findings indicate that children's emotional development occurs in stages according to age and is influenced by biological factors, family environment, parenting styles, and educational environment. Optimal emotional development positively contributes to children's self-regulation, empathy, and social adjustment. Therefore, responsive and educational environmental support is essential to support healthy emotional development in children

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of applying the Role Playing method on enhancing students' interest in learning the Indonesian Language subject for fourth-grade students at SD Istianah Terpadu, Sorong City. The role playing method, which involves students acting out various roles, can create a more engaging and meaningful learning experience. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research design. The sample consisted of 12 students from SD Istianah Terpadu, Sorong City. Data weqare gathered through a questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS to test the proposed hypothesis. The study results indicated significant differences in the average, maximum, and minimum scores before and after the treatment. The significance value was 0.000 < 0.05, which leads to the rejection of H0 and the acceptance of H1. This suggests that there is a difference in the average learning interest before and after the treatment, indicating that the implementation of the role playing method effectively enhances students' learning interest in Indonesian Language subject for fourth-grade students at SD Istianah Terpadu Sorong City.

Abstract

 This study aims to examine the period of Islamic education reform and analyze its background, challenges, and impacts on the Islamic education system. The main issues addressed in this research are the lag of Islamic education in responding to scientific and technological developments and the demands of the modern era, as well as the dualism between traditional and modern educational systems. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach by reviewing various written sources, including books, academic journals, and relevant documents related to Islamic education reform. The data are analyzed using a descriptive-analytical technique to obtain a comprehensive and systematic understanding. The results show that Islamic education reform is characterized by efforts to integrate religious and general knowledge, curriculum renewal, innovation in teaching methods, and the strengthening of Islamic educational institutions to face global challenges without neglecting Islamic values. Therefore, Islamic education reform plays a strategic role in producing knowledgeable, ethical, and adaptive Muslim generations in a changing world

Abstract

This study examines the decline of Islamic education and its contributing factors from classical to modern times. The research focuses on madrasah quality, teacher roles, socio-economic influences, colonial impact, and the lack of curriculum modernization. The study uses a literature review method based on books and references on Islamic education. Findings indicate that curriculum stagnation, low teacher competence, limited facilities, and socio-economic influences are the main factors in the decline of Islamic education. Lack of adaptation to contemporary needs has caused Islamic education to lag behind modern formal schools. The study emphasizes the importance of curriculum innovation, competent teachers, and creative learning strategies to ensure that Islamic education remains relevant and instills values of worship and ethics in young generations.

Abstract

This study examines the development of Islamic education from the Prophet’s era to the modern period, focusing on concepts, practices, and learning challenges. The research uses a literature review approach, relying solely on books as sources to describe the understanding of worship values, morals, and religious character in children. The results show that Islamic education continuously adapts through classical madrasas, pesantren, and modern technology integration. Moral values remain the main focus despite evolving teaching methods and media. This study provides insights for teachers, researchers, and policymakers to develop relevant and inspiring Islamic education

Abstract

The golden age of Islamic education represents a significant period in the history of Islamic civilization, marked by the rapid development of educational institutions and systems. During this era, education was not limited to religious studies but also integrated scientific and intellectual disciplines such as mathematics, medicine, astronomy, philosophy, and natural sciences. Educational institutions such as mosques, madrasas, Bayt al-Hikmah, and libraries functioned as centers of learning and knowledge production. Government support, particularly from caliphs and Muslim rulers, played a crucial role in providing facilities, funding, and protection for scholars and scientists. The integration of religious knowledge and scientific inquiry gave rise to prominent Muslim intellectuals who made substantial contributions to the advancement of knowledge and global civilization. Therefore, the golden age of Islamic education had a profound impact on the development of science, culture, and human civilization worldwide.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Strategic Human Resource Development (SHRD) in improving madrasah teacher performance through three main components: training quality, Islamic value-based teacher competencies, and organizational support. The research method employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey of 151 MTs (Islamic Junior High School) and MA (Islamic Junior High School) teachers. The instrument used was a Likert-type questionnaire, tested for construct validity and reliability using Cronbach's Alpha. Regression analysis was used to examine the partial and simultaneous effects between variables. The results showed that training significantly improved planning skills and material mastery, while teacher competency was the most dominant variable through pedagogical, professional, and Islamic spiritual aspects. Organizational support was also significant through supervision, facilities, and a collaborative culture. Theoretically, this study enriches the literature on Islamic value-based HRD and practically provides strategic recommendations for developing madrasah human resources in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Reading Aloud method on the reading comprehension ability of fourth-grade students at Advent Victory Elementary School in Sorong. The background of this research is the low ability of students to understand the content of reading passages, even tho they are technically able to read. The research approach uses a quantitative method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, involving 15 students as the sample. The research instrument was a reading comprehension test administered before and after the implementation of the Reading Aloud method. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a calculated t-value of 9.68 > t-table 2.145 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. This result indicates that the implementation of the Reading Aloud method significantly impacts the improvement of students' reading comprehension skills. This research confirms that Reading Aloud is an effective strategy for improving literacy and reading interest in elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and qualitatively analyze the practices of non-financial compensation systems aligned with spiritual values within educational institutions under the auspices of the Islamic boarding school Darussalam Blokagung, Banyuwangi. This instrumental single case study is driven by the paradox of high loyalty among honorary teachers despite minimal financial compensation. The research focuses on elements of spiritual-based non-financial compensation, such as the recognition of barakah, opportunities for khidmat (devoted service), support for spiritual career development, and a sense of belonging to the pesantren community. Data collection was conducted through in-depth observation and interviews to achieve depth and data validity through triangulation. The results indicate that spiritual compensation significantly and positively influences the intrinsic work motivation and retention intentions of honorary teachers. This implementation transforms extrinsic motivation into strong intrinsic motivation and sincere devotion. In conclusion, spiritual compensation is a unique and effective human resource management strategy for addressing financial constraints in pesantren-based educational institutions, explaining the high teacher retention despite limited salaries.
