Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in developing students’ learning creativity in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 7 Sambas. The study examines how PjBL stimulates students’ learning creativity, the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation, and its impact on students’ learning attitudes. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the implementation of PjBL is able to increase students’ activeness, creativity, and independence in the learning process. Supporting factors include the availability of learning media, teacher support, and collaboration among students, while inhibiting factors consist of limited time and students’ lack of experience in project-based learning. Furthermore, PjBL has a positive impact on students’ learning attitudes, as reflected in increased responsibility, collaboration skills, as well as learning interest and motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of bullying among students in the environment of Pondok Pesantren Muhammad Basiuni Imran Sambas, the role of caregivers in addressing and preventing student bullying, and the factors that contribute to the occurrence of bullying in the pesantren. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design, using interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. The data were analyzed to examine the role of caregivers in preventing bullying among students at Pondok Pesantren Muhammad Basiuni Imran Sambas during the 2024-2025 academic year. The findings indicate that the forms of bullying that occur consist of physical bullying and verbal bullying, which represent a complex phenomenon that is not always visible to pesantren caregivers. The large number of students and the variety of pesantren activities managed by caregivers often allow bullying practices to escape supervision. Furthermore, caregivers play a crucial role in addressing bullying through their functions as mu’allim (educator), mu’addib (supervisor and moral guide), and murabbi (role model), and they are authorized to take immediate actions to respond to bullying behavior in order to prevent violence within the pesantren environment. Additionally, the factors causing bullying include individual factors and group influence factors; therefore, bullying prevention must be carried out comprehensively, not only by improving individual behavior but also by creating a safe, caring social environment that rejects all forms of violence.

Abstract

In the world of education, especially for students with physical differences, differences in abilities and attitudes, who are always discriminated against in the education system, instilling an understanding of mutual respect, or what is also known as tolerance, will make the education system run more effectively. The scheme of inclusive education in Islamic teachings, and also as recounted in the Qur'an, states that humans are born with many differences, such as race, culture, ethnicity, nationality, skin colour, language, and the Qur'an also teaches that with diversity and different abilities, Therefore, because of these many differences, we must get to know, appreciate and respect each other regardless of our differences. Proper inclusive education will provide all children with the opportunity to participate fully in regular activities regardless of race, diversity, characteristics or anything else. Understanding the value of the concept of inclusive education in the Qur'an can build social tolerance regardless of differences.

Abstract

Cultural changes in society also influence education, especially in elementary schools. Lowu-Lowu as a coastal area experiences socio-cultural transformation due to globalization, technology development, and lifestyle changes. This study aims to describe the impact of cultural change in Lowu-Lowu on learning processes in elementary schools. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that cultural changes affect students’ attitudes, motivation, and interaction patterns in learning. On one hand, cultural change brings positive impacts such as increased technological literacy, but on the other hand it causes challenges such as decreasing interest in local culture and learning discipline. Therefore, schools need to integrate local cultural values into learning to maintain students’ identity.

Abstract

Guidance and Counseling (BK) services in schools are often understood as the exclusive responsibility of guidance and counseling teachers, yet in practice, the success of these services is greatly influenced by the involvement of all school personnel. This article aims to examine the roles and responsibilities of school personnel in supporting the implementation of guidance and counseling as part of the education system. This research uses a qualitative approach through a literature review, reviewing books, scientific journals, and relevant educational regulations. The results indicate that the principal plays a role in policy-making and managerial support, guidance and counseling teachers are responsible for service implementation, subject teachers and homeroom teachers contribute to monitoring student progress, and educational staff and parents play a role in supporting the learning environment. These findings confirm that guidance and counseling services will be more effective if implemented through ongoing collaboration and coordination among school personnel.

Abstract

This research examines the impact of cultural shifts in Baubau City on the learning patterns of elementary school students. As the former center of the Buton Sultanate, Baubau possesses a rich cultural heritage, yet globalization has introduced digital behaviors that challenge traditional educational values. The study identifies a decline in the application of local philosophies, such as "Pobinci-binci Kuli" and "Poma-maasiaka," in the classroom setting. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were gathered through interviews with educators and observations in several public elementary schools in Baubau. The findings reveal that digital culture has created a gap in students' social interactions and diminished their interest in local wisdom-based content. The study concludes that there is an urgent need for the integration of Butonese local wisdom into the modern curriculum to preserve cultural identity. This integration serves as a logical consequence for developing Islamic educational praxis in the region. Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools frequently encounters pedagogical challenges, particularly when teaching abstract concepts such as Earth structure and the solar system. Traditional instructional methods that rely heavily on verbal explanations and textbooks often limit students’ conceptual understanding and engagement. This study aims to analytically describe an innovation in science learning through the integration of Qreatif Educative simulations and Quizlet-based interactive quizzes for sixth-grade elementary school students. This research adopts a qualitative approach using a library research design. Data were collected from scientific journals, academic books, and relevant research articles indexed in Google Scholar and DOAJ. The collected data were analyzed systematically through content analysis stages, including data reduction, categorization, theoretical synthesis, and analytical interpretation. The findings indicate that Qreatif Educative simulations facilitate concrete visualization of abstract scientific concepts, thereby enhancing students’ conceptual comprehension. Furthermore, Quizlet quizzes function as formative assessment tools that increase student motivation, learning engagement, and retention through game-based evaluation. In conclusion, this learning innovation effectively supports student-centered and meaningful science learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is a fundamental phase in the formation of a child's character and personality. In the context of Christian education, PAUD serves not only as a means of cognitive development but also as a vehicle for faith and character formation based on Christian theology. This article aims to examine the integration of Christian theology in early childhood education, examine its theological foundation, and analyze its implications for children's character formation. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library study method, through an analysis of literature on Christian theology, early childhood education, character education, and relevant scientific sources. The results of the study indicate that Christian theology provides a normative and spiritual basis for the goals, processes, and practices of Christian PAUD learning. The integration of Christian theology is realized through curriculum planning, contextual learning methods, educator role models, pedagogical relationships based on love, and the creation of a learning environment with Christian values.

Abstract

The new paradigm of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) emphasizes holistic student development through the integration of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, as well as the reinforcement of religious moderation values and the contextualization of Islamic teachings in daily life. This study aims to analyze the implications of the new paradigm of Islamic Religious Education for curriculum development and learning practices at SDN 1 Caringin. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with IRE teachers and the school principal, and documentation studies of instructional materials. The findings indicate that the new IRE paradigm has implications for a more flexible curriculum design oriented toward character building and the implementation of active, reflective, and contextual learning strategies. The learning practices at SDN 1 Caringin have moved toward participatory learning through discussions, habituation of Islamic values, and the integration of religious values into school activities. However, several challenges remain, including limited supporting facilities and varying levels of teacher competence in implementing the new paradigm. This study is expected to contribute to the development of IRE curricula and learning practices that are more responsive to contemporary educational demands.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in student learning achievement influenced by internal and external factors in public and private primary schools in the Mimika Baru district, to determine the extent of the impact of Basic Education Institutions on social change in Mimika Regency, particularly in the Mimika Baru District. The research method used is a descriptive research method, which is a method used to analyse the factors that influence differences in student learning achievement at public and private primary schools in the Mimika Baru district. In this study, the data collection methods used were questionnaires, observation, and literature study. To determine the differences in student achievement influenced by internal and external factors, the analysis instrument used in this study was the Two-Sample Chi-Square analysis. The results of this study show that the factors that greatly influence student learning achievement in public and private elementary schools in the Mimika Baru district are external factors (from outside the students). In this analysis, we did not compare learning achievement between public and private elementary schools, but rather the factors that influence student or learner achievement.
