Abstract

Climate change is a global problem and has become an urgent issue in this modern era. In recent decades, we have witnessed the serious impacts of climate change, such as rising global temperatures, increasing intensity of extreme weather, and decreasing environmental quality. All of this poses a big challenge for the sustainability of our environment. The challenges faced by the environment due to climate change are very complex and require serious attention. To effectively adapt and manage these diverse difficulties, Indonesia and the rest of the world must take proactive, preemptive measures. Climate change poses a significant problem that necessitates taking concrete steps to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to current and future effects. By taking small steps to lower greenhouse gas emissions, such as limiting the use of motorized vehicles, beginning to use public transportation, conserving water and electricity, cutting back on the use of plastic waste, and planting trees in the surrounding area, the community can contribute to mitigation. This study conducted an exploratory evaluation of the literature using a qualitative descriptive approach. This research discusses adaptation in the context of climate change, preventive and responsive adaptation, mitigation in the context of climate change, and general mitigation policies such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions and developing renewable energy.

Abstract

The condenser in the operation of PLTGU serves to condense the residual steam of the low pressure turbine. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of changes in vacuum pressure on condenser performance and determine the effect of overhaul on condenser performance. The variation in vacuum pressure on the condenser will be seen the effect of vacuum pressure on condenser performance. The results obtained the effectiveness score after overhaul was better than before overhaul by an average of 42.032% to 47.022%. The highest effectiveness at vacuum pressure of 679.5 mmHg was 46.103% before overhaul and 49.66% after overhaul. Meanwhile, the lowest effectiveness at vacuum pressure of 669.5 mmHg with effectiveness values before overhaul 39.45% and 45.94% after overhaul. The effectiveness of the condenser increases by an average of 4.99% after the overhaul. The level of vacuum in the condenser affects the effectiveness value of the condenser, the higher the value of vacuum pressure will increase the value of the heat transfer rate so that the effectiveness will increase. Factors that affect condenser performance are the level of tube cleanliness, the number of pluggings, vacuum pressure, and the operation of condenser supporting components.

Abstract

The Balinese ethnic community has undergone transmigration due to the eruption of Mount Agung. Transmigration was carried out to Lampung Province, specifically in Central Lampung. This study aims to understand "How is intercultural communication among the Balinese ethnic group in a multicultural society?" Given this phenomenon, the author employs a qualitative research method using the symbolic interactionism model to observe behaviors and interactions of individuals, discerned through symbols and their meanings. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research findings reveal an interconnected adaptation between the Balinese ethnic migrants and the indigenous Lampung ethnic group. Due to mutual respect and appreciation between the ethnic groups, both migrants and natives are able to practice their respective cultures. The Javanese ethnic community is still respected for their use of the Javanese language in this village. Therefore, the relationship between these two ethnic groups can proceed smoothly without significant obstacles as each group has accepted the other as they are.

This study uses a type of qualitative field research (field research), which includes observation, interviews and documentation. The author analyzed the data using the Miles and Huberman model, namely data analysis in qualitative research conducted during data collection and after data collection was completed. Based on this research, it is known that the students of the Salafiyah Hidayatul Qomariyah Islamic Boarding School Bengkulu do not yet know the term misogynist, but many of them agree that the Hadiths are classified as misogynistic, but there are also those who oppose the existence of this misogynist term. There are some students who understand every misogynistic Hadith that is examined textually, they understand what it is according to the Hadith text, but there are those who understand contextually by including knowledge of asbabul wurud Hadith, by looking at the conditions when the Hadith appears with its use in the present.
