Abstract

The realistic mathematics approach is one of the approaches to learning mathematics that was developed to bring mathematics closer to students. Real problems from everyday life are used as a starting point for learning mathematics to show that mathematics is actually close to everyday life. A main principle of Realistic Mathematics Education is that students must participate actively in the learning process. Learners must be given the opportunity to build their own knowledge and understanding. Abstract mathematical concepts need to be transformed into things that are real for students. Realistic problems given to students do not always have to use problems that exist in the students' real world or can be found in students' daily lives. A problem is called realistic if the problem given can be imagined or real in the students' minds. Applying a realistic mathematical approach will change learning to be easy for students to understand. This approach develops children's thinking patterns by finding their own concepts in mathematics through establishing relationships between the material and children's daily lives. So that the mathematical concepts learned can be applied in life. From this, children's mathematical understanding will increase.

For this reason, the data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis using the CIPP (Contex, Input, Process, Product) Model. The population in this study was the academic community and students of SD Muhammadiyah Pacul. The sample in this study included school principals, teachers and staff as well as grade 5 students. The determination of the student sample was based on the theory of child psychological maturity. Abstract

This research delves into the semantic cognitive analysis of idioms in Batak Toba wedding ceremonies, examining the customary terms and their meanings in the pre-wedding, wedding ceremony, and post-wedding stages. Drawing from previous studies and employing qualitative methods, the study classifies the terminology based on process, actors, and cultural objects. It analyzes these terms' lexical, grammatical, and cultural meanings, highlighting their significance in Batak Toba culture. The study reveals the intricate layers of meaning embedded in these customary terms and underscores their importance in understanding the rich cultural heritage of the Batak Toba people. The research explores how these idioms bridge literal and figurative meanings through a cognitive semantics lens, reflecting the community's values and beliefs. The findings contribute to the broader discourse on cultural semantics and enrich our understanding of Batak Toba wedding ceremonies' linguistic and cultural intricacies.

Abstract

In today's digital age, education technology has become an important element in learning transformation in various educational institutions, including the madrasah. The research aims to explore a variety of technology models that can be integrated into the learning system in the madrasah, in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of learning. Through literature analysis, the study identified three key technologies that have great potential in improving learning in the madrasah: Learning Management Systems (LMS), game-based educational technologies, and augmented reality (AR) technologies. The research shows that LMS integration facilitates more organized and efficient learning management, enabling educators to provide learning materials digitally, carry out assessments, and communicate with students in real-time. Game-based education has been found to be effective in increasing student motivation and engagement, presenting learning materials in an interesting and interactive format. Meanwhile, the application of AR technology offers an immersive learning experience, enabling students to gain in-depth understanding through the visualization of learning concepts. The results suggest that the use of technology in learning in the madrasah not only opens up access to innovative and varied learning resources, but also integrates Islamic values into the learning process more effectively. However, the success of this technology integration depends on several key factors, including adequate training for educators, the availability of adequate technological infrastructure, as well as the choice of technology that suits the needs and contexts of the madrasah.

Abstract

Digital media is a means of delivering information from the sender to the recipient. YouTube videos as a learning medium are very suitable for the learning characteristics of today's generation of students, so students prefer to watch learning videos via YouTube. Using YouTube media for learning, especially science learning, can help students develop critical thinking skills, solve problems, make decisions, and use social media to collaborate. YouTube can provide students and teachers with valuable experiences for freedom of expression, educational collaboration, and skill development. Innovating YouTube videos to teach science, they must be systematic, concrete and complex. The content of YouTube content contains four main elements in the nature of IPA. YouTube video innovations that suit the nature of science learning are carried out in the form of five types of videos, namely (1) concept explanation videos, (2) scientific facts videos, (3) model simulation videos, (4) demonstration videos and (5) experimental videos. Learning videos on YouTube can be used for interactive learning in the classroom, both for students and teachers themselves through online and offline presentations.
