Abstract

This research aims to examine the effectiveness of project-based learning (PBL) in increasing student creativity in senior high schools. The method used is a literature review, where data is obtained through reviewing scientific articles, textbooks and other reliable sources relevant to the topic. In this research, the concept of student creativity is discussed as the ability to produce original and valuable ideas, which is an important indicator in assessing creativity in a learning context. Project-based learning is analyzed as a learning approach that puts students at the center of learning, allowing them to explore, collaborate, and implement ideas in real projects to solve complex problems. The effectiveness of PBL in increasing student creativity is measured through achievements in problem solving, collaborative abilities, and the development of critical and creative thinking abilities. The results of the literature review show that PBL plays a significant role in increasing students' creativity, as a result of their exposure to learning situations that require the application of knowledge in real contexts and active collaboration between students. The conclusions of this study emphasize the importance of integrating project-based learning in school curricula to support the development of students' creativity and problem-solving abilities, which can better prepare them for real-world challenges.

Abstract

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) has gained widespread attention as a method for improving cardiovascular fitness. This study aims to review existing literature regarding the effectiveness of HIIT in improving cardiovascular fitness in young adults. This literature research involved the collection and analysis of articles published in various scientific journals from 2010 to 2023. The keywords used in the search were "High-Intensity Interval Training", "cardiovascular fitness", and "young adults". Inclusion criteria included studies measuring the impact of HIIT on VO2 max and other cardiovascular parameters in healthy young adult subjects. Literature analysis shows that HIIT can significantly increase VO2 max in young adults, an important indicator of cardiovascular fitness. This increase is supported by physiological changes that occur in the body, including increased mitochondrial capacity and oxygen use efficiency. Studies also show improvements in cardiovascular parameters such as blood pressure and lipid profile. HIIT is an effective exercise method for improving cardiovascular fitness in young adults. The significant advantage of HIIT lies in its short workout duration yet providing optimal results, making it an attractive option for individuals with limited time. However, more research is needed to examine the long-term effects and more detailed physiological adaptations to HIIT in a broader population.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in improving students' mathematics skills through a literature review. PBL is a teaching method that places students at the centre of learning with an emphasis on solving contextual problems relevant to everyday life. The literature review showed that PBL can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts and develop their critical and creative thinking skills. In addition, this method also strengthens students' collaborative and communication skills through structural group work. However, the successful implementation of PBL is influenced by several factors, such as the availability of resources, teachers' skills in implementing PBL, and the support of the school environment. To optimise learning outcomes, training for teachers and full support from all parties involved in the education process are required. The results of this study are expected to provide insights for educators about the potential of PBL as an effective method in improving students' mathematics skills.

Abstract

The Pesantren-Based Management Model in Islamic Education Management is an innovative approach that integrates the traditional pesantren education system with modern education management principles. This model combines the strength of Islamic values and traditions that have been rooted in the pesantren system with contemporary learning methods, the latest educational technology, and a curriculum that is relevant to the demands of the times. The goal is to create a holistic, effective, and adaptive Islamic education system that is able to prepare students intellectually, spiritually, and practically to face the challenges of the modern world while maintaining Islamic identity and values. This model emphasises the balance between religious and general education, character development, as well as enhancing soft skills, so as to produce graduates who are not only knowledgeable and noble, but also able to contribute significantly in a global society. The research method used is literature. The results showed that the Pesantren-Based Management Model has significant advantages in integrating traditional Islamic values with modern education management principles. The model successfully combines the strengths of the pesantren system with contemporary educational innovations, creating a holistic approach that emphasises the balance between intellectual, spiritual and practical education. The flexibility and adaptability of this model in the face of changing times, as well as its focus on character building and soft skills development, make it highly relevant to address the needs of Islamic education in the global era. This study concludes that the Pesantren-Based Management Model offers an effective and sustainable solution in the management of Islamic education, with the potential to become a reference for the development of a progressive Islamic education system that remains rooted in fundamental Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of Google Scholar indexation on the career development and performance of lecturers in higher education. Indexation in Google Scholar allows lecturers' academic work to be more accessible and recognised by the global community, which has an impact on increasing the number of citations and h- index. These metrics are often used as indicators in performance evaluation, promotion, and incentivisation in the academic environment. In addition, the visibility gained through indexation increases opportunities for research collaboration with other researchers, both at the national and international levels. The results show that Google Scholar indexation plays an important role in supporting lecturers' career recognition and development, and contributes positively to improving their performance, both in research and teaching. Thus, Google Scholar indexation not only strengthens lecturers' academic careers, but also supports efforts to improve the quality of education in higher education.

Abstract

Increasing jumping ability is one of the key factors in achieving achievements in volleyball. Plyometric training, known to be effective in improving jumping ability and muscle strength, has been the focus of this study to evaluate its effects on volleyball athletes. Through comprehensive literature analysis, this research aims to collect and synthesize data from various existing studies regarding the application of plyometric training in volleyball training, to understand the concrete benefits of this training method on improving athletes' jumping abilities. A literature search was carried out on various databases and scientific journals that publish research related to sport, fitness and exercise physiology, with certain inclusion criteria to ensure the relevance and quality of the data. The results of the analysis show that plyometric training significantly contributes to improving the jumping performance of volleyball athletes. This is reflected in increased vertical jump performance, reaction time, and muscle contraction speed which are vital in volleyball games. The implementation of plyometric training that is structured and adaptive to the needs of individual athletes shows more optimal results, indicating that personalization of training plays an important role. Additionally, the integration of plyometric exercises with the overall training program, including aspects of strength, speed, and endurance, was identified as an effective strategy for achieving maximum results. Based on these findings, it is concluded that plyometric training is an important component in volleyball training to improve athletes' jumping ability. This research recommends the use of plyometric training as part of a volleyball athlete's preparation, while paying attention to individual needs and preventing the risk of injury to maximize the benefits of training.

Abstract

Although there is an increasing amount of research on assessing teacher emotions in general education, there is still a lack of appropriate measurement tools to measure mathematics teachers' emotions. The aim of this research is to develop an instrument for mathematics teachers' emotions and produce a ready-to-use instrument. The analytical method used is Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The sample used consisted of 310 mathematics teachers. The sample involved teachers from several madrasah ibtidaiyah in DKI Jakarta. Confirmatory Factor Analysis produces 5 factors, namely, Love, Joy, Anger, Sadness and Fear which produces 29 fit items. Thus, this assessment instrument is valid and reliable for use as a measuring tool for mathematics teachers' emotions.
