Abstract

Adolescent mental health is a growing concern in modern educational settings, particularly due to limited access to professional counseling and the persistent stigma surrounding psychological distress. This study explores the effectiveness of Islamic journaling as a spiritually grounded self-healing method implemented among high school students at SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Surabaya. The program was conducted using an educational and participatory approach, incorporating Islamic counseling concepts, journaling practices, and emotional reflection. A Project-Based Learning (PjBL) framework was used, accompanied by pre- and post-test assessments to evaluate cognitive, affective, and spiritual outcomes. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' understanding of Islamic counseling (from 33% to 90%), their ability to manage emotions in accordance with Islamic values (from 27% to 87%), and their comfort in expressing feelings through writing (from 30% to 90%). Furthermore, 93% of participants reported feeling more emotionally relieved after writing, and 90% expressed a desire to continue journaling independently. These findings suggest that Islamic journaling is a simple yet effective strategy for enhancing emotional regulation and spiritual awareness among adolescents. The program also demonstrates potential as a faith-based psychosocial intervention model for school settings. Abstract

Cyberbullying among athletes has emerged as a critical issue in the context of increasing social media engagement within the sports community. This literature review explores the psychological risks posed by online harassment on platforms such as Instagram and Twitter, emphasizing its detrimental effects on both amateur and professional athletes. Drawing on national journals from the past three years, peer-reviewed academic articles, and institutional reports, the study reveals that cyberbullying significantly contributes to mental health challenges, including social anxiety, diminished self-esteem, and reduced athletic performance. Key contributing factors include heightened public expectations, emotional regulation difficulties, and the anonymity afforded to perpetrators. To address these challenges, the literature highlights several mitigation strategies, such as implementing hate speech detection technologies, enhancing digital literacy, promoting awareness of athletes’ mental health, and fostering collaboration between legal authorities, social media companies, and sports organizations. This review underscores the importance of mental health protection for athletes in the digital era and advocates for the development of digital literacy policies that incorporate psychological well-being as a central concern.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are areas that have their own sub-cultures which are broadly divided into three types, namely salafiyah (traditional), khalafiyah (modern), and intergrated. This study was conducted on students of islamic boarding school X which is a salafiyah (traditional) islamic boarding school. This study aims to determine the existence of academic boredom triggered by daily activities with a busy, monotonous schudele, and same environment that triggers feeling of boredom and fatigue. This study used 206 samples from 206 students of class 3 Mts. The sampling technique used saturated sampling with the measuring intrument The Achievement Emotions Questionnaire (AEQ). Data analysis used in this study is descriptive using microsoft excel. Based to the overall data that has been obtained, students of class 3 Mts at the X female islamic boarding school experiebced academic boredom in the moderate catagory with a value of 63%, the low category 19 and the high category 18%.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of the study below was to determine the correlation between toxic relationships in friendship and the mental health of adolescents in Surabaya. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected through a psychological scale given via Google Forms to 100 adolescents in Surabaya. The research data collection technique used in this study was the incidental sampling. Data collection in the study used a Likert scale arranged based on aspects of both variables. The results showed a significant negative correlation (r = -0). 309, p = 0.002) between mental health and toxic relationships, indicating that lower mental health increases the likelihood of involvement in toxic relationships. The results of this test suggested that when associated together, mental health and toxic relationships have a significant relationship (Sig.). The contribution of the mental health variable to toxic relationships is 0.309, which indicates that mental health has an influence of 30.9% on toxic relationships, while 69.1% is influenced by other factors. Therefore, the hypothesis in this study is accepted, which states that there is a significant correlation between mental health and toxic relationships in adolescents in Surabaya. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya peran self regulated learning sebagai mediator pada hubungan antara school well being dengan penyesuaian akademik siswa kelas VII. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 213 siswa kelas VII SMPN 60 Surabaya dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis jalur (path analysis) dan sobel test. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh pada analisis jalur (path analysis) menunjukkan t = 8.214 dan p < 0.05 dapat disimpulkan  ada hubungan langsung yang signifikan school well being  dengan self regulated learning.  Analisis hubungan langsung diperoleh hasil nilai t = 7.811 dan p < 0,05  maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan langsung yang signifikan school well being dengan  penyesuaian akademik. Demikian pulan di peroleh kesimpulan bahwa  ada hubungan langsung yang signifikan self regulated learning  dengan penyesuaian akademik. Model mediasi  dinalisis dengan formula Sobel diperoleh t hitung sebesar 3.910 > 1.96, yang artinya self regulated learning secara signifikan berperan sebagai mediator pada hubungan school well being  dengan penyesuaian akademik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between life satisfaction and job burnout among health workers at the Kraton Pasuruan Community Health Center. This study uses a quantitative method. The population in this study were health workers at the Kraton Pasuruan Community Health Center, with a research sample of 45 people obtained using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert scale model questionnaire with four answer choices. The data analysis technique was carried out using the Pearson Product Moment correlation method. The results of the hypothesis test indicate that there is a relationship between life satisfaction and job burnout among health workers at the Kraton Pasuruan Community Health Center, as indicated by the results of the hypothesis test that the correlation coefficient r value is -0.843 with a significance value of 0.000, p less than 0.01. This indicates that there is a very strong, significant, and negative relationship between life satisfaction and burnout. In other words, the higher the life satisfaction, the lower the burnout, and vice versa.

Abstract

Thalassemia is a degenerative blood disorder that remains difficult to cure, with no definitive treatment currently available. Patients with thalassemia require lifelong blood transfusions, which often lead to various side effects. In social settings, children living with thalassemia experience significant lifestyle changes that set them apart from their peers, especially when they live in communities with little to no understanding of the illness. This study aims to explore the resilience levels of children with thalassemia in Aceh as they navigate daily life. A qualitative method with a phenomenological approach was employed, using interviews and observations for data collection. The findings indicate that resilience levels vary among individuals with thalassemia, influenced by differences in social support from parents, family, and the surrounding environment. The study highlights the need for community education about thalassemia to provide psychological support for patients and reduce the risk of bullying.

Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan fase perkembangan yang ditandai oleh perubahan fisik, emosional, sosial, dan kognitif yang kompleks. Fenomena budak cinta (bucin) yang marak terjadi di kalangan remaja sering kali berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan mental, ketergantungan emosional, hingga kerentanan iman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan psikoedukasi seksual berbasis nilai-nilai Islam kepada siswi kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Surabaya melalui pendekatan Project-Based Learning (PjBL) dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk seminar, pemutaran video, diskusi, permainan edukatif, hingga refleksi bersama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program psikoedukasi mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswi terkait dampak psikologis dan spiritual dari perilaku bucin, mendorong kesadaran dalam mengelola emosi, serta menanamkan pentingnya menjaga keseimbangan antara cinta, identitas diri, dan nilai-nilai agama. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi psikoedukasi dengan pendekatan Islami efektif dalam membantu remaja membangun hubungan yang lebih sehat, seimbang, dan sesuai dengan nilai spiritual yang dianut.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the quality of life of post-divorce single-parent early adult women in Sawaran Kulon Village, Lumajang Regency. The approach used was qualitative with phenomenological methods. The study subjects consisted of three early adult women who had experienced divorce and were navigating the role of single parents. Data collection techniques were in-depth interviews, non-participatory observation, and documentation. The results indicated that post-divorce, the subjects experienced significant changes in physical, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects. They faced challenges related to economy, childcare, social stigma, feelings of loneliness and emotional exhaustion. However, the subjects also demonstrated adaptive efforts in rebuilding their lives, such as participating in training, strengthening relationships with their children, and increasing independence. Support from their immediate family and friends was a crucial factor in the recovery process. This study emphasizes the important role of the social environment, emotional support, and internal strengths in shaping a better quality of life for post-divorce single-parent women.
