Abstract

The ‘Desa Maju, UMKM Berkembang’ programme is a community service initiative that aims to improve local economic growth through the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in villages. In the context of sustainable economic development, MSMEs play a vital role as drivers of the grassroots economy. However, MSMEs in rural areas often face various challenges, including limited access to capital, markets, technology, and modern management knowledge. Thus, the ‘Desa Maju, MSMEs Berkembang’ programme has demonstrated the effectiveness of a holistic approach in the development of rural MSMEs. The programme has not only succeeded in improving the economic capacity of individuals and groups, but has also contributed to strengthening the overall economic structure of the village.

Abstract

Community participation in the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is essential to support the sustainability of the village. There are situations, where local government, civil society, academia and businesses interact systematically so that effective support is available for the purpose of MSMEs. They include training, consulting, technology, and market access. All these are targeted at increasing the ability of the MSMEs to expand and develop sustainably. Through this, interlinking horizontal structures amongst the MSMEs can be established creating positive impact on the economy of the village. There is always efficiency that exists when working in partnership within the MSMEs and they improve competitiveness. In addition, this partnership also creates chances for the MSMEs to enhance the local market with more qualified products which can become local landmarks and also attract shoppers within the region and beyond. The collaboration promotes a spirit of business cooperation among businesspersons and helps son comprehensiveness in business practice. They allow MSMEs to assist each other and pool resources, which is crucial for weathering economic storms. As observed in the intervention through the community collaboration in this service strategy, there are great positive long term benefits particularly in instilling mental independence and sustainability of the villages. Such participation also enhances or fosters a sense of belonging to and the drive to develop the village among its inhabitants and builds a coherent social structure. All necessary economic, social and cultural resources are available to a village, enabling it not only to subsist but also to prosper and adjust to global changes and this making the essence of community participation an important strategy for development.

Abstract

In the learning process of early childhood, it does not only require reading, writing, and arithmetic, but they also need learning media in the process of implementing their learning. The training on making learning media for teachers of Raudhatul Athfal Bina Anaprasa in Sukasari village was carried out due to the lack of knowledge about learning media from natural materials in RA Bina Anaprasa teachers. This is because teachers are not able to use natural materials that can be used as learning media. The purpose of this service is to improve and export the creativity possessed by an early childhood education teacher in makinglearning media using natural basic materials. This service method and design consists of several stages, including the initial stage, implementation, and finally monitoring and evaluation. The end result of this service is that the teachers turn out to have high creativity, especially they are also able to combine the available natural basic materials with other materials to further add creativity values to the creation of the learning media they make. This training in making learning media must be carried out continuously so that teachers are able to develop their competencies to be more optimal.

Abstract

Improving the village economy through socialisation and mentoring of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is a strategic approach that has proven to be effective and sustainable. Hence, the importance of socialisation as a tool to provide an in-depth understanding of entrepreneurship to village communities. Through this comprehensive education, local communities can understand the benefits and techniques of starting and growing a business, which in turn, can improve their standard of living. More than just providing basic knowledge, socialisation fosters passion and confidence, which are often barriers to starting a business. Village MSME mentoring offers ongoing support in various aspects of business such as technical operations, management, marketing, and access to resources. With the right mentoring, village MSMEs can utilise technology, improve product quality, and implement effective marketing strategies. Mentors also assist in long-term business strategy planning, financial management, as well as building a wider market network including e-commerce. All of these contribute to improving the competitiveness of village MSMEs at the local, regional and national levels. In conclusion, socialisation and mentoring of MSMEs is a very effective instrument to drive the village economy. Proper education and ongoing support allow village MSMEs to thrive, thereby contributing significantly to the local economy. This not only improves individual welfare but also strengthens the village economy as a whole, making it more independent and resilient in the face of economic challenges. Investing in MSME socialisation and mentoring is a strategic move with positive long-term impacts, creating more prosperous and highly competitive villages.

Abstract

Community service that focuses on optimising the potential of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in villages is a strategic step to improve the welfare and living standards of local communities. This activity begins with the identification of the potential and constraints faced by MSMEs in the area, followed by a comprehensive analysis that helps map out the most relevant interventions. This approach includes skills training, access to capital, and more effective and efficient marketing of products. The active involvement of local communities in MSME development increases the sense of ownership and responsibility for the sustainability of the programme. Collaboration with the government, educational institutions and the private sector is also crucial to provide holistic support. Various forms of concrete support, such as training, technical assistance, and development of marketing networks, are expected to bring positive impacts to small businesses in villages. In this digital era, the utilisation of information technology is key in expanding market reach and improving operational efficiency of rural MSMEs. The implementation of e-commerce and digital marketing allows MSMEs to access a wider market and market their products nationally and internationally. In addition, technology also provides easier access to important information and resources that can support business development. The success and sustainability of this strategy depends on regular evaluation and the ability to adapt the programme based on the results. Continuous programme adjustments ensure that the strategy remains relevant and effective in the face of changing conditions on the ground. Thus, optimising the potential of MSMEs in the village is expected to have a sustainable positive impact, not only for the business actors, but also for the village economy as a whole.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a field that is still unfamiliar to vocational high school students. The process of introducing and understanding entrepreneurship needs to be encouraged early on. Many students are still confused about the function and values of entrepreneurship. To introduce entrepreneurship, counseling and reinforcement are needed for students at school. Community service activities are carried out so that students have a good interest in entrepreneurship. The method of activity is counseling with theoretical and practical materials. This activity was attended by 35 students at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Bandung. The results of the activity, students were able to understand the importance of the role of entrepreneurship. It is hoped that students after completing their education can become reliable and responsible entrepreneurs later. Entrepreneurship can be one of the skills that can explore students' potential and play an important role in students' lives in the future. The purpose of community service is to provide insight and increase interest in entrepreneurship in vocational high schools to know about entrepreneurship. The application of this entrepreneurial spirit for vocational high school students is still considered difficult, because the education they take sometimes mentally they are not ready to enter the world of entrepreneurship. In developing this entrepreneurial spirit, high interest is needed. A strong interest in entrepreneurship will encourage students to be brave in entrepreneurship, because with this interest students feel they have the strength and ability to lead them to become successful entrepreneurs. But on the other hand, if the student does not have an interest in entrepreneurship, then the student will be afraid to develop his skills and will not be able to become a successful entrepreneur. In developing an entrepreneurial spirit in vocational high school students, not only skills education is needed, another factor that is no less interesting is the introduction of material about entrepreneurship which is indeed very much needed by vocational high school students.

Abstract

The synergy model between Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and villages as a community service strategy to promote sustainable growth. This model emphasises the importance of collaboration between MSMEs that have innovative potential and high adaptive power with abundant resources in villages, to create new economic opportunities and improve the welfare of local communities. The findings from this study found that the synergy between MSMEs and villages brings not only economic benefits, but also significant social impacts, by improving the skills, knowledge and social cohesion of village communities. While the benefits are many, the implementation of this model faces challenges such as infrastructure limitations and skills gaps. Therefore, support from various parties, including the government, financial institutions, and educational institutions, is needed to create an ecosystem that supports and encourages the success of this synergy. This research confirms that the synergy of MSMEs and villages is a strategic approach that is not only innovative but also important in realising inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
