Abstract

This article discusses how the exemplary method in Islam can be used to improve the quality of education. The exemplary method means that educators provide good examples to students. Not just giving lectures to students. This study uses a literature study, namely by reading and analyzing various sources that have been mentioned in the method that discusses Islamic education and this method. The results of the study show that this method is very suitable for forming the character and morals of students. Because they tend to imitate what they see. This exemplary is in accordance with the verses of the Koran, namely the letter Al-Ahzab: 21 and also the letter Luqman verse 17. Where in the letter Al-Azab it is stated that the Prophet Muhammad is the best example. However, in reality, in today's education there are still many educators who have not implemented this exemplary method consistently. There are several challenges, such as the lack of cooperation between schools and parents and also the lack of training for teachers and the influence of the external environment. Therefore, cooperation is needed from schools, families, and also the community to practice the exemplary method again. In this way, Islamic education can produce students who are not only cognitively intelligent, but also have good morals.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the relationship between philosophy, humans, and education as a theoretical foundation in building an educational system capable of transforming social and intellectual life. The main problem raised in this research is how philosophical principles about human nature can be integrated into the educational paradigm so as to produce pedagogical practices that are humanist, critical, and transformative. This research uses a qualitative approach through descriptive-analytical library research. Data sources were obtained from classical and contemporary philosophy literature, as well as modern educational theories relevant to the themes of humanism, existentialism, and educational emancipation. The results show that philosophy provides a reflective and normative framework for education in understanding humans as intelligent, moral, and social beings. When education is carried out with a strong philosophical foundation, it is able to create a learning space that not only develops cognition, but also the ethical and social awareness of students. Thus, education is no longer understood in a purely technocratic manner, but as a means of forming a whole person and reconstructing civilization. This article recommends the integration of philosophical approaches in the curriculum and educational practices as a strategy to build a just, inclusive and value-oriented society.

Abstract

This study critically examines the fragmentation between Islamic transcendental ethics and Western educational psychology frameworks in addressing student moral decline, particularly concerning the ethics of respect for teachers. Educational institution monitoring data from 2021–2025 confirms a structural increase in incidents of verbal and physical disrespect, reflecting weak internalization of spiritual values, pedagogical inconsistency, and the digital normalization of discourteous behavior. Although recent literature has extensively discussed values education, social learning theory, and ethics of care in isolation, a substantive gap remains: the absence of an operational model that simultaneously integrates spiritual motivation, cognitive-moral development, care relationships, and digital-ecological pressures. This paper addresses this gap through the development of the Model for Integrating Adab, Role Modeling, and Ethics of Care (MIAKEK), employing a comparative-integrative qualitative design. The model synthesizes classical Islamic pedagogy with contemporary educational psychology into a coherent, multidimensional framework. The findings affirm that respect for teachers functions as both a transcendental obligation and a psychological need, necessitating integrated interventions in spiritual internalization, consistent educator role modeling, alignment of the hidden curriculum, and collaboration among the three pillars of education. The novelty of this study lies in its explicit theoretical bridge, mapping of operational indicators, and a policy architecture ready for empirical validation. Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to describe the application of epistemology bayani and burhani in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in madrasahs. The research method used is library research, which involves collecting data from literature, including several journal articles and books, followed by reading, noting, and processing the research materials. The results of this research indicate that the development of PAI learning, which is elaborated into four subjects Aqidah Akhlaq, Qur’an Hadith, Fiqh, and Islamic Cultural History begins with understanding the text of the learning material, which is in line with the concept of bayani reasoning. This is then followed by contextualizing the material using other sciences or with Burhan or signs of Allah's power, namely the universe. In this way, the learning process will achieve optimal results, aligning with the goal of Islamic education itself, which is to create individuals who are faithful, pious, and possess noble character. Abstract

The Akidah (Islamic theology) curriculum at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level frequently demands a high degree of deductive abstraction that directly conflicts with the concrete operational stage of primary school-aged children. This study aims to respond to the latest regulatory framework, the Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs (KMA) Number 1503 of 2025, which demonstrably overlooks cognitive readiness parameters. The absence of such cognitive calibration instruments generates a structural mismatch that triggers ontogenic obstacles, particularly the manifestation of tajsim (anthropomorphic) misconceptions in the classroom. Utilizing a library research design with qualitative content analysis and policy document analysis approaches, this study synthesizes Brousseau’s theory of didactical situations, Piaget’s stages of cognitive development, and Ibn Khaldun’s epistemology of tadarruj (gradualism). The findings demonstrate that the centralized curriculum documents prematurely impose eschatological-metaphysical reasoning upon students. As an alternative resolution, this study constructs the "Cognitive-Tadarruj Matrix," which operates on two primary axioms: the planned postponement of absolute dogmas, and inductive substitution through concrete observation (Tafakkur Alam). This matrix initiates a significant paradigm shift from a centralized, top-down system to an adaptive, bottom-up approach. Epistemologically, this model aims to ensure the coherent internalization of Tawhid (Islamic monotheism), liberate students from the trap of tajsim, and safeguard the children's cognitive architecture from the premature imposition of abstract content.
