Abstract

Islam highly emphasizes character that becomes the substance of the religi-on. The character used as the basis of the education system in Islam. Cha-racter education is an attempt to make influence the soul of the students to inculcate morals, to shape the human personality and virtuous in accordan-ce with the teachings of Islam. Character education becomes essential for life. Characters are formed by at least covers: religious, honest, tolerant, disciplined, hard-working, creative, independent spirit of nationalism, pa-triotism, recognize excellence, friendship/communicative, love peace, love reading, environmental care, social care and responsibility. These values are a form of social piety which must be actualized in the education system so that they can ward off the crisis and stem the multidimensional towards the formation of personal morality. The characters must be actualized in the education system so as to form a virtuous man.

Abstract

The study is aimed at exploring the Qur’anic concept of education. It argues that the Qur’an mostly speaks of education in terms of character-building and tries to inculcate noble values upon human being in such a way that the good characters may be attained. Hence, the paper is of an argument that the Qur’anic concept of education is ethical; it imposes ethical values upon human being. But the aspect of ethics that the paper will be speaking is that which has to do with ethics in social interaction. The paper will look at some key terms that the Qur’an uses to infer to this social interaction which include qaulan sadida, qaulan ma’rufa, qaulan baligha, qaulan masysura, qaulan karima, and qaulan layyina. To offer a better explanation of what social interaction is all about, the paper will address and invoke some social setting in which people interact one another. In other words, the argument of the paper will be invalidated by the social facts found on the ground. This study is thus both normative and empirical.

Nilai-nilai ini merupakan bentuk kesalehan sosial yang harus diaktualisasikan dalam sistem pendidikansehingga mampu menepis dan membendung krisis multidimensi menuju terbentuknya pribadi yang berakhlak mulia. Karakter harus diaktualisasikan dalam sistem pendidikan sehingga terbentuk manusia yang berbudi luhur.

Abstract

The world is shocked by the spread of the Covid-19 virus that has major impacts in nearly all fields, including in the field of education in Indonesia. One of the efforts to minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the education sector is to conduct distance learning which is carried out using various types of platforms and media to support the learning process. The purpose of this study is to review the teacher's strategy in growing students' learning motivation. This research method is a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques used are observation and interview techniques. The results of this study are that the teacher uses a flipped classroom learning model strategy assisted by madrasa e-learning media made by the teacher himself. It is proven to be able to grow the learning motivation of students in Class X IPS 1 MAN 2 Tuban, so that it can have an impact on increasing student learning outcomes and goals of a learning can be achieved.

Abstract

AbstractComputer literacy has become an interesting issue in the field of education as the integration of technology in education develops rapidly and continues to increase in the future. One aspect of computer literacy teacher’s and student’s perceptions and attitudes to use computers for classroom instruction. Unfortunately, this has been a challenge for incorporating technology during the teaching and learning process. The current study aims to analyze the implementation of the use of a mobile laptop in the class and unfold the student’s attitudes toward using laptops during their learning activities. This research was a survey study that includes interviews, observation and documentation as a data collection technique. The subject of the study is 312 students from seventh to ninth grade. Data analysis was done by the following steps: data collection, data reductions, data analysis, and conclusion making. The study finds that 1) course content and learning activities have been predetermined/ predesigned and stored in the laptops, 2) every student have access to the device with the help of group work. The study also reveals that the attitude of students toward the use of laptops in the classroom process is positive in the sense that they show satisfaction on the use of laptops. They also acknowledge the advantages of the computer for their learning and show high awareness of the importance of keeping the devices maintained and secured.AbstrakSalah satu bidang Tehnologi pembelajara adalah pemanfaatan teknologi informasi sebagai media pembelajaran. Hal tersebut selaras dengan perkembangan abad 4,0.  Kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakan dan memanfaatkan computer (Komputer Literasi) menjadi isu yang menarik saat ini. Komputer literasi menjadi bagian dari teknologi pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis implementasi penggunaan laptop Mobile dalam aktivitas belajar di kelas dan bagaimana respon siswa dalam penggunaan laptop Mobile di kelas.  Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan survey. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan datanya dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII, VIII, dan VIII sejumlah 312 anak. Analisis penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan data, mereduksi, menganalisis, dan membuat kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi penggunaan laptop mobile dilakukan saat proses belajar mengajar dilakukan dengan cara 1) semua materi dimasukkan dalam laptop mobile, 2) semua siswa mendapatkan hak akses untuk menggunakannya, dan 3) aktivitas belajar sudah didesain dalam laptop mobile. Sedangkan respon siswa dalam menggunakan mobile laptop menunjukkan 1) tingkat kepuasaan dalam menggunakan laptop mobile, 2) tingkat kemanfaatan dalam menggunakan laptop mobile, dan 3) tingkat tanggungjawab dalam merawat laptop mobile pada angka rerata yang paling tinggi pada lilihan stuju dan sangat setuju. Abstract

As a complete way of life for of Muslims, the Qur’an gives guidelines about education, in addition to the theology and the law. The history of thought of Muslims presented several paradigms of interpretation of the Qur’an, rangefrom the strictfundamentalist to the liberal. Thisfact indicates that the demands of Muslims to the sciences of the Qur’an and the results of them always arouse throughout the history. Even the enthusiasts ofstudy the Qur’an in the contemporary era insist that the Qur’an gives the widespread possibilities of meanings and themes. Taking into account the contemporary demands to education, it does not matter with using any paradigm of interpretation, but the choice to use a thematic method (al-tafsir al‑mawdu ‘i) is the most appropriate choice. Thematic method will generate a thorough understanding of the concept of Islamic education, and this is the right way to establish the discipline of Qur ’anic educational exegesis (al-tafsir al-tarbawi). In essence, thinkers on Islamic education should continuously develop elaboration of the concept ofIslam which views human beings have the their potential to achieve the perfection by integrating the innate factors and the environmental ones.

Abstract

Minat baca siswa di MI Yaphiston Surabaya masih perlu didorong peningkatannya diindikasikan dengan sedikitnya prosentase siswa yang mengunjungi perpustakaan dan mengikuti kegiatan pembiasaan membaca. Hal ini dikarenakan keterbatasan buku bacaan non teks untuk peserta didik dan kurangnya pelibatan warga sekolah dalam menumbuhkan budaya baca siswa. Dengan pendekatan Community Based Research (CBR), proses pendampingan ini lebih menitikberatkan pada peran aktif komunitas sekolah dalam menyusun perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi hasil pendampingan ini untuk mewujudkan perubahan positif yang diharapkan. Tindak lanjut dari inisiasi ini adalah langkah aksi yang terwujud dalam bentuk: (1) pelatihan strategi pengembangan budaya baca dan pengelolaan perpustakaan bagi warga madrasah, (2) pelaksanaan program budaya baca di MI Yaphiston diantaranya adalah Iqra’ fis Shabah, Word board activity, kata estafet, perpustakaan terbuka, dan kunjung perpustakaan, dan (3) terbentuknya kepengurusan perpustakaan. Berbagai upaya tersebut berkontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa yang diindikasikan dengan peningkatan pengunjung perpustakaan yang mencapai 90% (24-25 siswa dari 169 siswa melakukan kunjungan ke perpustakaan per hari). Lebih dari itu, madrasah semakin berdaya dalam mengimplementasikan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah secara berkelanjutan.
