Jurnal ini berfokus pada publikasi hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berorientasi pada peningkatan kesejahteraan, kemandirian, dan keberlanjutan masyarakat. Ruang lingkup SEJAHTERA: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat mencakup penerapan Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG), pemberdayaan ekonomi dan usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM), pemasaran dan kewirausahaan, ketahanan dan keamanan pangan, kesehatan masyarakat, pendidikan dan literasi, lingkungan dan pembangunan berkelanjutan, desain dan inovasi sosial, pemberdayaan masyarakat, pengembangan daerah tertinggal dan perbatasan, serta penguatan akses sosial berbasis kearifan lokal. Artikel yang dipublikasikan memuat hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang mencakup proses identifikasi permasalahan, pemetaan potensi lokal, perancangan dan pelaksanaan solusi, serta evaluasi dampak kegiatan. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan dengan melibatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dan mitra sebagai bagian integral dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan keberlanjutan program. Jurnal ini bertujuan menjadi media diseminasi ilmiah bagi dosen, peneliti, dan praktisi dalam menyebarluaskan gagasan konseptual, model pemberdayaan, praktik baik, serta hasil pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bersifat aplikatif, kontekstual, dan dapat direplikasi dalam berbagai konteks sosial. SEJAHTERA: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat diterbitkan tiga kali dalam setahun, yaitu pada bulan Januari, Mei, dan September, dengan kontributor berasal dari perguruan tinggi dan lembaga di seluruh Indonesia.

Abstract

Digital literacy is a crucial competency for students to navigate technological developments in education. The use of digital learning media in Islamic junior high schools (MTs) still faces various challenges, particularly limited student understanding and skills in using digital media optimally and responsibly. This community service activity aims to improve MTs students' digital literacy through mentoring in the use of digital learning media. The approach used was participatory, with stages including outreach, training, and direct mentoring. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of the activity indicate an increase in students' understanding and skills in utilizing digital learning media independently, as well as an increased awareness of the ethics of digital media use. This digital literacy mentoring is expected to support improvements in the quality of learning and build a sustainable digital literacy culture within the madrasah environment.

Abstract

Early marriage remains a social problem, resulting in violations of children's rights, poor educational quality, and health and social risks within families. Although the minimum age for marriage is regulated by Law Number 16 of 2019, the practice of underage marriage is still found in various regions, including Curahgrinting Village, Probolinggo City. This community service activity aims to increase public understanding and legal awareness as an effort to prevent early marriage. The method used is an educational and participatory approach through legal outreach, interactive discussions, and Q&A sessions involving adolescents, parents, and community leaders. The activity stages included preparation, implementation, and evaluation, using pre- and post-test instruments to measure participants' understanding. The results of the activity indicate an increase in public knowledge and legal awareness regarding the minimum age for marriage and the legal and social impacts of early marriage. Furthermore, participants demonstrated a change in attitudes toward preventing early marriage. This activity demonstrates that legal education can be an effective and sustainable preventive measure in supporting the protection of children's rights and strengthening public legal awareness. Abstract

Learning assessment is a crucial competency that prospective teacher students must master, particularly in mathematics. However, understanding of learning assessment is often theoretical and not yet integrated with learning practices. This community service activity aims to strengthen students' understanding of mathematics learning assessment through a book review. The activity was conducted at the Ahmad Dahlan Institute in Probolinggo, involving 30 prospective teacher students. The method used was a participatory-educational approach through preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The activity involved group discussions, literature analysis, and presentations of the book reviews, facilitated by the community service team. The results showed that the book reviews improved students' understanding of the concept of mathematics learning assessment, fostered reflective skills, and raised awareness of the importance of alignment between learning objectives, learning strategies, and assessment techniques. This activity made a positive contribution to strengthening assessment literacy in prospective teacher students and can serve as a model for relevant community service activities in higher education. Abstract

This community service program aimed to support teachers in implementing the Love Curriculum as a humanistic learning strategy in Islamic secondary education. The program employed a qualitative descriptive approach using participatory mentoring involving 15 teachers from various subject areas. The activities were carried out through three main stages: preparation, mentoring and classroom implementation, and evaluation and reflection. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed qualitatively. The results indicate an improvement in teachers’ understanding of humanistic learning principles and the integration of values such as empathy, compassion, and respect into lesson planning and instructional practices. Teachers demonstrated positive changes in classroom interaction, learning strategies, and their role as facilitators of student-centered learning. The implementation of the Love Curriculum also contributed to the creation of a more inclusive, supportive, and comfortable learning environment that encouraged active student participation. Overall, the mentoring program positively impacted teachers’ pedagogical competence and strengthened the quality of humanistic learning. This program highlights the effectiveness of mentoring-based implementation of the Love Curriculum in fostering humanistic education. Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning through the integration of character values. The program was implemented using an educative–participatory approach that actively involved participants in discussions, simulations, and reflective activities. The stages of the activity included preparation, implementation, and evaluation, focusing on character values such as religiosity, honesty, responsibility, discipline, tolerance, and social awareness. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and focused group discussions to examine changes in participants’ understanding and attitudes after the program. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ comprehension of character-based IRE learning and an increased awareness of the importance of applying Islamic values in daily life. Participants were also able to identify practical strategies for integrating character values into IRE learning contexts. This activity demonstrates that character-based Islamic Religious Education can be effectively strengthened through community-based educational programs. Therefore, continuous and collaborative efforts involving educators, families, and communities are essential to ensure the sustainability of character education rooted in Islamic values. Abstract

This community service activity aimed to empower members of PKK (Family Welfare Empowerment) and Karang Taruna in Desa Petanang, Lembak District, Muara Enim Regency through a workshop on making flower crafts from pipe cleaners. The activity was conducted on January 26, 2026, involving approximately 35 participants consisting of 15 PKK members and 20 youth and community members. The method used was participatory training and mentoring, including planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. Participants received introductory material on creative economy concepts followed by demonstrations and hands-on practice in creating sunflower, aster, and lavender crafts. The results showed that most participants were able to independently produce at least one flower craft with satisfactory quality. The workshop not only improved participants’ technical skills and creativity but also strengthened social collaboration between women and youth groups. Furthermore, the activity fostered entrepreneurial motivation and opened opportunities for developing home-based micro-enterprises. Therefore, the workshop contributed positively to enhancing community capacity and supporting sustainable village economic empowerment.

Abstract

It is important to develop children's creativity and imagination in order to support their cognitive, emotional, and social development from an early age. Creative and educational activities are a means of channeling this potential. This community activity aims to channel children's interests and talents through coloring competitions and fashion shows as part of a festival held to welcome the holy month of Ramadan in Mekarjati Village, Haurgeulis District, Indramayu Regency. This activity took place at the Mekarjati village hall on February 14, 2026, with 100 participants, consisting of 50 coloring contest participants and 50 fashion show participants, who came from kindergartens and elementary schools. This activity took place in several stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the activity showed that the participants displayed high enthusiasm during the event and received support from their parents and the local community. Through this activity, children had the opportunity to channel their creativity, strengthen their self-confidence, and develop their imagination. Thus, this activity is expected to be a positive means of supporting the development of children's interests and talents in the community..

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance junior high school students’ confidence in communicating in English through an English Camp program conducted at SMP Negeri 46 Makassar. The program employed a participatory approach grounded in experiential learning, encouraging active student involvement in meaningful and contextual communication practices. A series of interactive activities, including ice-breaking sessions, vocabulary building, role plays, group discussions, and speaking performances, were designed to create a supportive and low-anxiety learning environment. The results demonstrated that the English Camp significantly improved students’ confidence in speaking English, as reflected in their increased willingness to participate, greater activeness during activities, and improved courage in expressing ideas. Additionally, observations indicated heightened student engagement, enthusiasm, and interaction throughout the program. These findings suggest that experiential and communicative learning approaches are effective in fostering students’ confidence and participation in language learning. Therefore, the English Camp can be considered an effective alternative strategy to support the development of students’ English communication skills, particularly in building confidence, and it is recommended that similar programs be implemented sustainably and integrated into regular school learning activities to maximize their impact.

Abstract

Language politeness and legal awareness in digital communication are critical for high school students to prevent language-based crimes. This community service activity aimed to enhance the understanding of forensic linguistics and mitigate risks such as cyberbullying, hoaxes, and hate speech among students at SMKS Tirtayasa, Gorontalo. The method employed was an educational outreach using a participatory approach, combining case study discussions, lectures, and interactive Q&A sessions. The activity involved six speakers from the service team who presented materials on defamation, threats, religious blasphemy, incitement, and insults, linking them to relevant articles in the Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) Law and the Criminal Code (KUHP). The results indicated that students gained significant knowledge regarding the legal consequences of improper language use on social media. Observations during the discussion sessions showed increased student engagement and critical awareness, with participants able to identify potential legal violations in daily digital interactions. It is concluded that forensic linguistics outreach effectively improves students' digital literacy and character building. It is recommended that similar programs be expanded to other secondary schools to create a safer digital environment for teenagers.

Abstract

The revitalization of regional languages is a strategic effort by the Indonesian government to preserve and develop regional languages, including the Gorontalo language which has been identified as needing increased usage. This community service article aims to describe the implementation, results, and impact of the Technical Guidance for Master Teachers of Regional Language Revitalization on speech (Tabibo) in the Gorontalo language for 160 teachers and representatives of the Education and Culture Offices throughout Gorontalo Province. The activity was carried out on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 13.00 to 16.30 WITA at Hotel Fox, Gorontalo City. The method used was a participatory training approach with three stages: pretest, provision of material through interactive lectures and group discussions, group practice of Tabibo speeches, and posttest. The instruments used were 20 multiple-choice questions, observation sheets, and reflection sheets. The results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding, with the number of participants in the very good category (85–100) increasing from 10 participants (6.25%) in the pretest to 90 participants (56.25%) in the posttest. The average score for Tabibo speech practice reached 86.2 (very good category). Participants also expressed a commitment to disseminate the training results to other teachers and students at their respective schools. This activity concludes that structured and participatory technical guidance is effective in improving teachers' competence in Tabibo speech and contributes to the revitalization of the Gorontalo language.
