Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and motivation on employees’ performance through job satisfaction (a case study in X Tourism Academy). Respondents of this study include 52 employees of X Tourism Academy. The sampling is saturation sampling, and the analysis is Path Analysis. Results of the study show that transformational leadership has positive and significant influences on employees’ performance. Transformational leadership indirectly influences employees’ performance through job satisfaction. Motivation has positive and direct influence on employees’ performance. Motivation indirectly and positively influences employees performance through job satisfaction. Job satisfaction positively and significantly influences employees’ performance. The direct influences of transformational leadership and motivation on employees’ performance are greater than those of indirect influences through job satisfaction. This suggests that job satisfaction is not an intervening variable for transformational leadership and motivation on employees’ performance in X Tourism Academy, Jakarta.

Hotels are important facilities that cannot be separated from the tourism sector. The roleof the hotel is not only a place to stay for tourists, but also as a place to carry out officeand educational activities such as meetings, seminars, marketing presentations, so that thegrowth of hotel development is increasing. Quality of service in the field of hospitalityservices is one of the considerations that are often used by guests in choosing hotels. Guest SOP services frompredetermined reservations, check-in until guests check out fully. Quality of service hasan impact on the sale of rooms sold. The results of the data show that during the periodJanuary - August 2018 the average number of rooms sold was 519 rooms / month.Based on the results of the SWOT analysis with IFAS and EFAS matrices obtained strengthvalues (Streghts) - Weaknesses (weakness) = 2.24 -1.43 = 0.81 and opportunity values(Opportunity) - Threats (Treaths) = 2.21 - 0.99 = 1, 22. Thus Cabin Sutomo Hotel has aQuadrant I position so the strategy that needs to be done to increase the number of hotelguests is an aggressive strategy. This is a situation that benefits Cabin Sutomo Hotelbecause it has the power and opportunity, so that it can make the most of the opportunitiesavailable and support aggressive improvement policies. In the SWOT matrix, it was foundthat the right strategy was the S-O strategy, namely by increasing friendly and fast serviceand continuing to innovate hotel products, this was supported by the increasing numberof domestic and foreign tourists, so that they were potential guests at Cabin Sutomo hotel.

Abstract

To determine effect the interaction methods of learning and interest in learning outcomes civic. Theresearch method was experimental. The sample size 50 students selected at random. The datacollection includes data on learning outcomes civic (Y), effect of methods of learning (X1) and theinterest in learning (X2). Data on learning outcomes civic (Y) using an objective test which consistedof your choices, with a scoring technique in the form of correct answer were given a score of 1 andincorrect answer were given a score of 0. For interest in learning (X2) using the Likert scoring withfive alternative answers. There is a significant interaction effect of learning method and interests ofthe student learning outcomes civics. From the results of calculations using ANOVA show that Fhitung= 11,270 which was higher than the value of Ftabel = 3,94 (Fh = 11,270 > Ft = 3,94). This means thatH0 refused and H1 accepted, so there is a significant interaction effect of learning method and interest
