Abstract

This study aims to explain the concept of peaceful da’wah in the thought of Nusantara scholars and assess its relevance to the current social conditions of Indonesian society. This research employs a literature-based method by examining classical and contemporary scholarly works, historical texts, da’wah manuscripts, and recent studies. The findings reveal that Nusantara scholars placed peaceful da’wah as a central approach through dialogue, exemplary conduct, and cultural adaptation. These principles remain relevant in addressing today’s social dynamics, particularly in strengthening tolerance, preventing conflict, and fostering harmonious social relations. The study concludes that the values of peaceful da’wah provide an essential foundation for responding to the complexities of Indonesia’s plural society

Abstract

This study investigates the Qur’an as a central foundation in the formation of Islamic civilization by highlighting its role in guiding moral conduct, shaping intellectual traditions, and directing social development. The objective of this research is to clarify how Qur’anic teachings can be reinterpreted and implemented to support the advancement of a modern society that upholds ethical values and scientific growth. The research employs a descriptive qualitative design through an extensive review of literature, including scholarly publications on Islamic civilization, Qur’anic thought, and universal ethical frameworks. The findings indicate that the Qur’an has historically encouraged intellectual exploration, the establishment of social norms, and the development of moral awareness through an integrative epistemology that unites revelation, reason, and empirical observation. Furthermore, the Qur’an provides principles that remain relevant in addressing contemporary global issues such as justice, coexistence, and human dignity. The study concludes that contextualizing Qur’anic values through an integrative approach can offer a constructive framework for building a modern civilization that harmonizes technological progress with ethical responsibility. The proposed framework underscores the need to align Qur’anic principles with present-day societal challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of imperative and persuasive sentences in Gus Iqdam’s religious sermons and examine their implications for teaching persuasive texts in senior high school. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using content analysis. The data consisted of utterances containing imperative and persuasive sentences collected from selected sermon recordings of Gus Iqdam available on digital media. Data were collected through documentation and analyzed using classification and interpretation techniques based on linguistic theories of sentence types and persuasion. The findings reveal that Gus Iqdam frequently employs imperative and persuasive sentences to influence audiences emotionally and cognitively, making the sermons effective communicative texts. These characteristics indicate that Gus Iqdam’s sermons have strong potential as alternative teaching materials for persuasive texts in Indonesian language learning at the senior high school level. The study concludes that integrating authentic religious discourse into classroom instruction can enhance students’ understanding of persuasive language and improve their communicative competence.

Abstract

Stres akademik merupakan fenomena yang umum dialami mahasiswa perguruan tinggi akibat tuntutan akademik yang tinggi, seperti beban tugas, tekanan ujian, dan ekspektasi pencapaian akademik. Stres yang tidak terkelola dengan baik berpotensi menimbulkan berbagai masalah kesehatan mental, terutama kecemasan dan depresi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh stres akademik terhadap tingkat kecemasan dan depresi pada mahasiswa perguruan tinggi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang mengukur tingkat stres akademik, kecemasan, dan depresi pada mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara stres akademik dengan tingkat kecemasan dan depresi mahasiswa. Semakin tinggi tingkat stres akademik yang dialami, semakin tinggi pula kecenderungan mahasiswa mengalami kecemasan dan depresi. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pengelolaan stres akademik serta dukungan psikologis di lingkungan perguruan tinggi guna menjaga kesehatan mental mahasiswa dan menunjang keberhasilan akademik mereka.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of word stress mastery on the English speaking accuracy of fifth-grade students at SDs 117 Islam Terpadu Adnani. With a descriptive qualitative approach and based on Chomsky's Competence and Performance theory, this study involved 25 students selected through a total sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that students' understanding of word stress is not fully in line with their pronunciation abilities. The main difficulties include the lack of exposure to accurate pronunciation models and the complexity of word stress rules. This study concludes that word stress mastery has a significant effect on students' English speaking accuracy.

Abstract

The trend of religious study groups among metropolitan women represents a socio-religious phenomenon that has increasingly strengthened within modern urban life. This study aims to analyze the meanings and functions of religious study activities for metropolitan women through the perspective of Emile Durkheim’s sociology of religion. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with seven women who actively participate in religious study groups. The findings indicate that the majority of participants experience increased inner peace, improved quality of worship, and the formation of supportive social relationships. From Durkheim’s perspective, religious study activities function as collective rituals that reinforce collective consciousness, social solidarity, and prevent alienation amid the pressures of metropolitan life. These findings affirm that religious study groups play a strategic role in maintaining the spiritual and social balance of urban women.

Abstract

  Ilmu-ilmu keislaman berkembang dalam kerangka epistemologis yang khas, dengan menjadikan wahyu sebagai sumber utama pengetahuan sekaligus membuka ruang bagi rasionalitas sebagai instrumen pemahaman. Dua dimensi fundamental yang menopang bangunan ilmu keislaman adalah dimensi normatif dan teologis. Dimensi normatif berfungsi menetapkan nilai, hukum, dan etika preskriptif yang bersumber dari Al-Qur’an dan Sunnah, sedangkan dimensi teologis berkaitan dengan doktrin metafisik mengenai Tuhan, wahyu, dan tujuan akhir manusia. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis peran filsafat dalam memperkuat fondasi epistemologis, ontologis, dan aksiologis ilmu-ilmu keislaman, khususnya pada aspek normatif dan teologis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan serta analisis filosofis terhadap karya-karya pemikir Islam klasik dan kontemporer. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa filsafat berfungsi sebagai instrumen integratif yang menjembatani wahyu dan akal, memperjelas tujuan etis ajaran normatif, serta memberikan justifikasi rasional terhadap doktrin teologis Islam. Pendekatan filosofis memungkinkan ilmu-ilmu keislaman berkembang secara kritis, sistematis, dan relevan dalam menghadapi tantangan intelektual modern.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan penerapan metodologi etnografi dalam konteks penelitian Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), khususnya dalam memahami proses transformasi nilai-nilai keagamaan di lingkungan pesantren modern. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, penelitian ini berusaha menggambarkan secara mendalam bagaimana nilai-nilai PAI tidak hanya diajarkan secara teoritis, tetapi juga dihayati dan diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari santri. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, serta dokumentasi kegiatan keagamaan di pesantren. Hasil awal menunjukkan bahwa transformasi nilai terjadi melalui interaksi sosial yang intens antara santri, guru, dan lingkungan pesantren, yang membentuk budaya religius khas. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan metodologi penelitian PAI, khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan berbasis nilai di lembaga keagamaan.

Abstract

This study examines character education frameworks within Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum and Turkiye’s Türkiye Yüzyılı Maarif Modeli (TYMM), analyzing how cultural values are embedded and their role in promoting cultural integration. Through a comparative analysis, the study explores the similarities and differences between Indonesia’s Pancasila Student Profile, which is implemented through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) project-based learning program that emphasizes unity in diversity, and Turkiye’s Yetkin ve Erdemli (Competent and Virtuous) Student Profile, which is conceptualized through a comprehensive framework of Erdem-Değer-Eylem (Virtue-Value-Action) that prioritizes national identity and spiritual values.

Educators hold a central role in Islamic education as murabbi (spiritual guides), mu'allim (knowledge transmitters), and muaddib (character builders), directing students' innate nature toward moral perfection and closeness to Allah. This essence draws from the Quran, such as QS. Al-Isra':24 and Ar-Rahman:2, along with Hadith, demanding competencies in personality, pedagogy, professionalism, social skills, and spirituality. Ideal Educator Traits Key virtues include patience, honesty, gentleness, compassion, and anger control as primary role models. Qualifications encompass noble morals, broad knowledge, and a divinely oriented (rubbaniyah) approach.Views of Islamic Education Figures Hamka views teachers as shapers of faithful generations through morals and teaching methods. Al-Ghazali prioritizes drawing near to Allah and character cultivation, while Basiuni Imran stresses sincerity and integration of religious and general knowledge. Their duties involve motivating, facilitating learning, and providing daily examples to optimize students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor potentials.
