Abstract

This study aims to describe the type, form, influence, and reasons for the attitude used in the news text. This qualitative descriptive research data comes from the news text on medcom.id entitled "Scrambling for Vaccines." The analysis results show that there are three types of attitudes: affection, judgment, and appreciation. Appraisal items in news texts are classified into several forms of attitude: epithets, attributes, circumstances, modal adjuncts, words, and phrases. This attitude affects the subjectivity of the writer. Furthermore, the analysis results explain that the news writers try to give a fair opinion based on their views, perspectives of informants, and other news regarding the distribution of vaccines. It identifies many forms of negative appreciation and judgment. News writers tend to negatively view vaccine manufacturers, countries globally, the global population, and Indonesian citizens.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis, bentuk, pengaruh, dan alasan attitude yang digunakan dalam teks berita. Data penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini berasal dari teks berita di medcom.id yang berjudul “Berebut Vaksin”. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ada tiga jenis attitude: afeksi, penilaian, dan apresiasi. Item apraisal dalam teks berita diklasifikasikan ke dalam beberapa bentuk sikap: epitet, atribut, keadaan, modal adjunct, kata, dan frase. Attitude ini memengaruhi subjektivitas penulis. Selanjutnya, hasil analisis menjelaskan bahwa penulis berita berusaha untuk memberikan pendapat yang adil, berdasarkan pandangan diri, perspektif informan, dan berita lainnya mengenai pendistribusian vaksin. Hal ini mengidentifikasi banyak bentuk apresiasi negatif dan penilaian. Penulis berita cenderung memiliki pandangan negatif terhadap produsen vaksin, negara di dunia, populasi global, dan warga negara Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: the problems of the PBI Study Program students when compiling the HOTS-based cognitive assessment instrument, the application and improvement of students' abilities in preparing the HOTs-based cognitive assessment instrument after implementing problem-based learning and peer assessment. This qualitative descriptive research is subject to PBI Study Program students, Adi Buana University PGRI Surabaya. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, documentation, and test techniques. Data analysis used descriptive and explanation techniques based on percentages. The results of this study, namely: discrepancies in compiling text-based instruments to inaccuracies in making assessment rubrics, problem-based learning, and peer assessment, can improve the learning process as evidenced by student activities and responses; and the ability to develop HOTs-based cognitive assessment instruments increased from 'poor' to 'good' criteria.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: permasalahan mahasiswa Prodi PBI pada saat menyusun instrumen penilaian kognitif berbasis HOTS, penerapan serta peningkatan kemampuan mahasiswa dalammenyusun instrumen penilaian kognitif berbasis HOTs setelah menerapkan problem based learning dan peer assessment. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini bersubjek mahasiswa Prodi PBI, Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik angket, observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskripsi dan eksplanasi berdasarkan persentase. Hasil penelitian ini, yaitu: ketidaksesuaian dalam menyusun instrumen yang berbasis teks hingga ketidaktepatan membuat rubrik penilaian, problem based learning dan peer assessment dapat meningkatkan proses pembelajaran yang terbukti dari aktivitas dan respons mahasiswa; dankemampuan menyusun instrumen penilaian kognitif berbasis HOTs meningkat dari kriteria ‘kurang’ menjadi ‘baik’.

Abstract

This study aims to develop valid, practical, and effective literary teaching materials based on character education in elementary schools. The study used the Borg and Gall development model which was then adapted into four stages, namely: (1) pre-development stage (planning), (2) product development stage, (3) product feasibility test stage, and (4) post-development stage. This study involved fourth-grade elementary school students. The study results showed that the development of children's literature teaching materials is important. The teaching materials were declared feasible, both according to material and media experts and students. The teaching materials were proven to be effective and can be used independently.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar sastra yang valid, praktis, dan efektif berbasis pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan Borg dan Gall yang kemudian diadaptasi menjadi empat tahap, yaitu: (1) tahap prapengembangan (perencanaan), (2) tahap pengembangan produk, (3) tahap uji kelayakan produk, dan (4) tahap pascapengembangan. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa SD kelas IV. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar sastra anak penting dilakukan. Bahan ajar dinyatakan layak, baik menurut ahli materi dan media maupun peserta didik. Bahan ajar terbukti efektif dan dapat digunakan secara mandiri.

Abstract

This study describes the improvement of narrative text reading skills using folklore. The method used is a systematic literature review (SLR). This article provides a systematic review of journals discussing folklore in reading narrative texts. Search using Google Scholar, Science Direct.com, and JSTOR for ten years (2011-2021). After being selected, observation found ten articles to be eligible for analysis. The results showed that folklore could significantly improve students' ability to read narrative texts.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan membaca teks narasi dengan menggunakan cerita rakyat. Metode yang digunakan adalah systematic literature review (SLR). Artikel ini memberikan tinjauan sistematis terhadap jurnal yang membahas penggunaan cerita rakyat dalam membaca teks naratif. Pencarian menggunakan Google Scholar, Science Direct.com, dan JSTOR selama sepuluh tahun (2011-2021). Setelah diseleksi, sepuluh artikel yang ditemukan memenuhi syarat untuk dianalisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan cerita rakyat secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam membaca teks naratif.

Abstract

The aims of this study is to describe the meaning of Batik Paseban from Kuningan Regency using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. The results show that the meanings found in the Paseban batik motifs include: (1) Sekar Galuh which describes nature conservation; (2) Oyog Mingmang which depicts unity and oneness; (3) Mayang Segara which implies the breadth of the human heart; (4) Adu Manis which describes domestic life; (5) Rereng Pwah Aci which reflects Sundanese women; (6) Geger Sunten which describes self-defense; (7) Réréng Kujang which means keeping a promise; (8) Mayang Cindé which describes character; (9) Sekar Kencana which describes leadership; 10) Ayang-Ayang which implies mutual cooperation; 11) Kadatun or Karatun which is interpreted as a fair and wise leader; and 12) Gagang Sénggang which represents prosperity.Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan makna Batik Paseban dari Kabupaten Kuningan dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makna yang ditemukan dalam motif batik Paseban di antaranya: (1) Sekar Galuh yang menggambarkan pelestarian alam; (2) Oyog Mingmang yang menggambarkan persatuan dan kesatuan; (3) Mayang Segara yang mengisyaratkan keluasan hati manusia; (4) Adu Manis yang menggambarkan kehidupan rumah tangga; (5) Rereng Pwah Aci yang mencerminkan perempuan Sunda; (6) Geger Sunten yang menggambarkan pertahanan diri; (7) Réréng Kujang yang dimaknai menepati janji; (8) Mayang Cindé yang menggambarkan budi pekerti; (9) Sekar Kencana yang menggambarkan kepemimpinan; 10) Ayang-Ayang yang mengisyaratkan gotong-royong; 11) Kadatun atau Karatun yang dimaknai pemimpin adil dan bijaksana; serta 12) Gagang Sénggang yang menggambarkan kemakmuran.

Abstract

This study aims to critically review the statements of personages related to the land dispute Golo Mori in West Manggarai, Nusa Tenggara Timur, at the online mass media consists of Kompas.com, Cnnindonesia.com, Poskupang.com, and Voxntt.com. In collecting data the researchers used the listening method, reading, and note-taking techniques. In analyzing the data, the researcher used the content analysis method which was applied through the stages of identification, classification, and meaning of the data. The results showed that the statements of the characters were always repeated; use passive sentences and negative sentences that refer to certain meanings. Each media is unique in its reporting. Two national online media focused more on the authorities, while the other two regional media focused on victims and advocates. Land dispute resolution is actually an ancestral heritage that should be considered as a cultural norm in conflict resolution.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau secara kritis statements para tokoh dalam pemberitaan media massa online yang secara khusus memberitakan sengketa tanah Golo Mori di Manggarai Barat, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Media massa online yang ditinjau adalah Kompas.com, Cnnindonesia.com, Poskupang.com, dan Voxntt.com. Dalam pengumpulan data, digunakan metode simak, teknik baca dan catat. Analisis data menggunakan metode analisis isi yang diterapkan melalui tahap identifikasi, klasifikasi, dan pemaknaan data. Hasil penelitian ini dideskripsikan sebagai berikut. Pada tahap deskripsi, ditemukan bahwa di dalam beberapa pernyataan para tokoh, terdapat kosakata yang selalu diulang atau berlebihan; terdapat juga fitur linguistik yang berkorelasi makna secara antonimi dan konotatif. Pada aspek tata bahasa, ditemukan formulasi kalimat pasif dan kalimat negatif yang merujuk pada makna tertentu. Pada tahap interpretasi disibak bahwa terdapat hubungan antarteks yang saling berterima. Pada pihak lain, ditemukan juga pernyataan lain yang bersifat naratif tetapi memiliki struktur yang rapi. Dari sisi posisi media, masing-masing media memiliki keunikan di dalam pemberitaannya. Dua media online nasional lebih menyoroti pihak aparat, sedangkan dua media regional lainnya menyoroti korban dan advokat. Pada bagian eksplanasi dipaparkan mengenai konteks sosial dan budaya, terutama sistem pembagian tanah dalam budaya Manggarai, termasuk peran struktur Gendang sebagai warisan leluhur.

Abstract

Indonesia ranks 89th out of 180 countries and is still a corrupt country. As the leader of the country, the president is expected to make Indonesia no longer a corrupt country. This study seeks to analyze corruption news in the March 31, 2019 edition of Media Indonesia in order to raise views on Joko Widodo as a social actor. This can be known through the analysis of language structure, cognitive processes, and the meaning of discourse based on the context of the "2019 Presidential Election". This study applies a qualitative approach with van Dijk's critical discourse analysis (AWK) approach. The results show that the text of corruption news in the March 31, 2019 edition of Media Indonesia aims to raise Jokowi's image ahead of the 2019 Presidential Election. The context of the "2019 Presidential Election" shows a tremendous influence for the Media Indonesia editorial team to produce corrupt news texts associated with Jokowi, as well as his candidacy, himself as a presidential candidate in the 2019 presidential election.Indonesia menempati posisi ke-89 dari 180 negara dan masih menjadi negara korup. Sebagai pemimpin negara, presiden diharapkan menjadikan Indonesia tidak lagi menjadi negara yang korup. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk menganalisis berita korupsi di Media Indonesia edisi 31 Maret 2019 dalam memunculkan pandangan kepada Joko Widodo sebagai aktor sosial. Hal ini dapat diketahui melalui analisis struktur bahasa, proses kognitif, dan makna wacana berdasarkan konteks “Pilpres 2019”. Penelitian ini menerapkan ancangan kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis wacana kritis (AWK) van Dijk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teks berita korupsi di Media Indonesia edisi 31 Maret 2019 bertujuan untuk mengangkat citra Jokowi menjelang Pilpres 2019. Konteks “Pilpres 2019” menunjukkan pengaruh yang luar biasa bagi tim redaksi Media Indonesia untuk memproduksi teks berita korupsi yang dikaitkan dengan Jokowi, serta pencalonan kembali dirinya sebagai calon presiden pada Pilpres 2019.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of children's digital literacy skills. Research data in the form of the results of children's reading activities with the application. Data were collected by questionnaires and from observations and strengthened by data from interviews with children. The collected data is then analyzed with reference to the flow model. The results showed that the use of the Let's Read application could improve digital literacy for the children of Kampung Wonopuro. Utilization of spare time can be filled by playing while learning to read. The language in the reading text that is read is not only Indonesian but can be regional or foreign languages.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan literasi digital anak-anak. Data penelitian berupa hasil kegiatan membaca anak dengan aplikasi. Data dikumpulkan dengan angket dan dari observasi dan diperkuat dengan data dari wawancara dengan anak-anak. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan mengacu pada model alir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan aplikasi Let’s Read dapat meningkatkan literasi digital bagi anak-anak Kampung Wonopuro. Pemanfaatan waktu senggang dapat diisi dengan bermain sambil belajar membaca. Bahasa dalam teks bacaan yang dibaca juga tidak hanya bahasa Indonesia, tetapi bisa bahasa daerah maupun bahasa asing.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a prototype of poetry teaching materials based on 3D Flipbook multimedia. Through this research, it is hoped that there will be more varied teaching materials as well as learning media than the previous ones. The research design is a procedural descriptive research model, which is guided by the ADDIE model development research procedure initiated by Lee & Owens. Broadly speaking, this development model consists of 4 stages, namely: 1) analysis, 2) design, 3) development and implementation, and 4) evaluation. Thus, this research is a category of development research. The result of this research is poetry teaching materials in the form of 3D Flipbook multimedia. The results showed that according to 30 respondents, the 3D Flipbook multimedia display aspect was very feasible, the 3D Flipbook multimedia material aspect was feasible, and the 3D Flipbook multimedia learning aspect was very feasible. In conclusion, according to respondents, 3D multimedia flipbooks can be used as a very feasible alternative for learning poetry.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan prototipe bahan ajar Puisi berbasis multimedia 3D Flipbook. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan tersedia bahan ajar sekaligus media pembelajaran yang lebih variatif dari yang sebelumnya. Penelitian pengembangan ini berpedoman pada model ADDIE yang terdiri atas empat tahap yaitu: 1) analisis, 2) desain, 3) pengembangan dan implementasi, dan 4) evaluasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahan ajar puisi berupa multimedia 3D Flipbook.  Berdasarkan respons dari informan dapat diketahui bahwa aspek tampilan dan pembelajaran multimedia 3D Flipbook sangat layak, serta aspek materi multimedia 3D Flipbook layak. Multimedia 3D Flipbook bisa dijadikan alternatif dalam pembelajaran puisi.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the use of address terms in non-face-to-face interaction, which is communication between sellers and buyers in an online transaction.  The study is limited to online communication using WhatsApp applications by online customers of different ages in Padang city. It employs a quantitative method for its data collection. Data was obtained through observation, questionnaires, and interviews with participants. A questionnaire was distributed to 70 male and female Andalas University students and lecturers of different ethnic backgrounds regardless of age. The results reveal the term of reference kakak, commonly used by the Malay and Minangkabau speakers, dominates the form of address term in online transaction communication. Its uses are independent of the age and gender of the counterpart.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki penggunaan kata sapaan dalam interaksi non tatap muka, yaitu komunikasi antara penjual dan pembeli dalam transaksi online. Penelitian dibatasi pada komunikasi dengan menggunakan aplikasi WhatsApp oleh pelanggan berbagai usia di kota Padang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Kuesioner dibagikan kepada 70 mahasiswa dan dosen Universitas Andalas pria dan wanita dari latar belakang etnis yang berbeda tanpa memandang usia. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan istilah sapaan kakak yang biasa digunakan oleh penutur bahasa Melayu dan Minangkabau mendominasi bentuk sapaan dalam komunikasi transaksi online. Penggunaannya tidak bergantung pada usia dan jenis kelamin pasangannya.
