Abstract

This study aims to produce handouts oriented to local culture. This development research was conducted from November 2018 to January 2019 in Cirebon Regency. Data were collected through analysis of the structure and linguistic rules of procedure texts in the Indonesian Recipes book. The results of the analysis are used as material to design teaching materials for procedural text handouts. The data is processed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively to produce handout products suitable for use. Validity is carried out through expert judgment. The results of the study concluded that: the structure of the procedure text that was analyzed was complete and represented using typical linguistic rules, the design was valid, and fit for use. This book can improve students' understanding of procedural texts.Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan handout berorientasi kebudayaan lokal. Penelitian pengembangan ini dilakukan November 2018 sampai Januari 2019 di Kabupaten Cirebon. Data dikumpulkan melalui analisis terhadap struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks prosedur dalam buku Resep Masakan Indonesia. Hasil analisis digunakan sebagai bahan untuk merancang bahan ajar handout teks prosedur. Data diolah secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif guna menghasilkan produk handout layak pakai. Keabsahan dilakukan melalui penilaian pakar. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: struktur teks prosedur yang dianalisis lengkap dan direpresentasikan dengan menggunakan kaidah kebahasaan yang khas, rancangan valid; dan layak pakai. Buku ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terkait teks prosedur.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the intonation perception of the Malay aristocrats' speech on emotions. This study uses an experimental phonetic study among the nobility in Tanjungpura, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. This study uses acoustic-phonetic theory and also uses the Praat program. Data analysis used the Average method so that the percentage of Malay nobility's perception of the intonation of emotional speech was obtained. The results of this study get the percentage of data on angry emotional speech, which is 40%. For the percentage of data on the perception of the nobility towards sad emotional speech, namely all respondents.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi intonasi tuturan kaum bangsawan Melayu terhadap emosi. Penelitian ini menggunakan kajian fonetik eksperimental pada kalangan bangsawan di Tanjungpura, Kabupaten Langkat, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori fonetik akustik serta digunakan juga program Praat. Analisis data menggunakan metode Average sehingga diperoleh persentase persepsi kaum bangsawan Melayu terhadap intonasi tuturan emosi. Hasil dari penelitian ini mendapatkan persentase data terhadap tuturan emosi marah, yaitu sebesar 40%. Untuk persentase data persepsi kaum bangsawan terhadap tuturan emosi sedih yaitu seluruh responden.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is research aims to reveal how the representation of superiority and solidarity in conversations occurs. The data of this research is collected through two methods which are, the listening and speaking methods. The listening data uses a basic technique, which is the tapping technique. The advanced technique of the listening method in this research is the “free to listen bound to speak”, partnering and recording technique. Next is the speaking method. It uses face-to-face speaking techniques, recording techniques, and writing techniques. To analyze the data of this research, an equivalent method is used, with another language as the determining instrument. The result of the analysis of the representation of superiority and solidarity in informal conversations of multilingual communities in STKIP Singkawang, West Kalimantan is as follows. The representation of superiority is divided into four parts: greeting words, imperative words, conversational domination, and conversational code usage. Whereas the representation of solidarity shows the usage of greeting words, imperative words, and conversational code usage. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bagaimana representasi unsur kekuasaan dan solidaritas dalam wacana percakapan. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui dua metode, yaitu metode simak dan metode cakap. Metode simak menggunakan teknik dasar, yaitu teknik sadap. Teknik lanjutan dari metode simak dalam penelitian ini adalah simak bebas libat cakap, teknik rekam dan teknik catat. Selanjutnya, untuk metode cakap menggunakan teknik dasar, yaitu teknik pancing. Teknik lanjutan dari metode cakap, yaitu teknik cakap semuka, teknik rekam dan teknik catat. Untuk menganalisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode padan dengan alat penentu adalah bahasa lain. Hasil analisis mengenai representasi kekuasaan dan solidaritas pada tuturan informal masyarakat multilingual di STKIP Singkawang Kalimantan Barat adalah sebagai berikut. Representasi kekuasaan terbagi menjadi empat bagian, yaitu penggunaan kata sapaan, penggunaan kata perintah, dominasi percakapan, dan penggunaan kode tutur. Sementara representasi solidaritas ditunjukkan dengan penggunaan kata sapaan, penggunaan kata perintah, dan penggunaan kode tutur.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the concept of psychic impulses in the characters in the novel Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2 by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical working mechanism. The approach used is a literary psychology approach. The data collection technique applied is documentation. The data analysis activities consist of data reduction, data presentation, and concluding/verification. The results of the study indicate that there is an impetus that drives or underlies the behaviour of each character. Interaction between characters leads to encouragement, namely encouragement that comes from the spiritual aspect, encouragement to fulfil desires without regard to values, and encouragement that is influenced by news in the mass media. Changes in the character of the antagonist are influenced by the behaviour of practising the Qur'an and hadith by the main character. Thus, reflected in the pattern of the relationship between individual history, goals, and aspirations of individuals to the behaviour of the characters.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan konsep dorongan psikis pada tokoh dalam novel Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2 karya Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan mekanisme kerja deskriptif analitik. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan psikologi sastra. Teknik pengumpulan data yang diaplikasikan adalah dokumentasi. Aktivitas analisis data tersebut terdiri atas reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dorongan yang menggerakkan atau melatarbelakangi perilaku setiap tokoh. Interaksi antartokoh mengarah pada adanya dorongan, yakni dorongan yang berasal dari aspek spiritualitas, dorongan memenuhi keinginan tanpa memperhatikan nilai-nilai, dan dorongan yang dipengaruhi oleh pemberitaan di media massa. Perubahan karakter tokoh antagonis dipengaruhi perilaku pengamalan Al-Qur’an dan hadis oleh tokoh utama. Dengan demikian, tercermin adanya pola hubungan antara sejarah individu, tujuan, dan aspirasi individu terhadap perilaku tokoh.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of social-social context landscapes in cybertexts-based pragmatics related to the Covid-19 vaccination discourse. The research data is in the form of speech excerpts that contain the identity of the social-social context landscape in cybertexts. The data collection method applied is the listening method with reading and note-taking techniques. Furthermore, the data are identified, classified, and typified to apply data analysis methods and techniques. The data analysis method applied was the extra lingual equivalent method. The validity of the data used expert validation and theoretical triangulation. This study resulted in findings in the form of six types of social-social context landscapes for Covid-19 vaccination, namely (1) confirming the meaning of the speech, (2) clarifying the meaning of the speech, (3) informing the purpose of the speech, (4) setting the background for the speech, (5) supporting the meaning of the speech. the meaning of the speech, and (6) clarify the meaning of the speech.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis lanskap konteks sosial-sosietal dalam pragmatik berbasis cybertexts terkait dengan wacana vaksinasi Covid-19. Data penelitian berupa cuplikan-cuplikan tuturan yang di dalamnya terkandung identitas lanskap konteks sosial-sosietal dalam cybertexts. Metode pengumpulan data yang diterapkan adalah metode simak dengan teknik baca dan teknik catat. Selanjutnya data diidentifikasi, diklasifikasi, dan ditipifikasi untuk dikenakan metode dan teknik analisis data. Metode analisis data yang diterapkan adalah metode padan ekstralingual. Keabsahan data menggunakan validasi pakar dan triangulasi teori. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan berupa enam jenis lanskap konteks sosial-sosietal vaksinasi Covid-19, yakni (1) menegaskan maksud tuturan, (2) mengklarifikasi maksud tuturan, (3) menginformasikan maksud tuturan, (4) melatarbelakangi maksud tuturan, (5) mendukung maksud tuturan, dan (6) memperjelas maksud tuturan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the word class in Arabic and Indonesian. This study uses contrastive analysis to describe the similarities and differences in word classes between the two languages from March - July 2020. The data collection technique used documentation techniques in Arabic and Indonesian texts. Sources of data come from books and magazines in Arabic and Indonesian. The results showed the use of ism al-Jins, ism al-s`awt and fi'l al-Madah. This finding is expected to be a morning solution for Arabic learners when learning Arabic.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelas kata dalam bahasa Arab dan bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kontrastif sebagai upaya untuk mendeskripsikan persamaan dan perbedaan kelas kata di antara kedua bahasa. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret - Juli 2020. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi pada teks bahasa Arab dan bahasa Indonesia. Sumber data berasal dari buku dan majalah berbahasa Arab dan bahasa Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penggunaan ism al-Jins, ism al-s`awt dan fi‘l al-Madah. Temuan ini diharapkan mampu menjadi solusi pagi pemelajar bahasa Arab.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of students' skills in writing short story texts. This quasi-experimental study used pretest-posttest in the control and experimental groups. The population in this study were students of class VII SMK with a purposive sample of 46 people. The research was conducted in the period from January 20 to February 5, 2020. The instruments used were in the form of tests and non-tests, validated by two experts. Based on the results and discussion, it is concluded that the discovery learning method assisted by Adobe Flash can improve the ability to write short stories and can increase learning motivation. Students become challenged in solving the problems given by the teacher.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis teks cerita pendek. Penelitian eksperimen kuasi ini menggunakan pretes-postes pada kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK kelas VII dengan sampel purposive sebanyak 46 orang. Penelitian dilakukan pada rentang waktu 20 Januari - 5 Februari 2020. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes dan non tes dengan divalidasi oleh dua orang ahli. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan diperoleh simpulan bahwa metode discovery learning berbantuan adobe flash dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis cerita pendek dan dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Siswa menjadi tertantang dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal yang diberikan guru.

Abstract

This study aims to describe totemism in advertisements for the Soap Lux Beauty Superpowers and Maudy Ayunda versions and explain the similarities and differences between the two TVCs. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The results show that Lux soap advertisements from different production gap times contain totemism elements. The difference lies in the ambassador's image, which is then used as a totem. The Beauty Superpowers version displays the impression of being beautiful, sensual, confident, glamorous, rich, powerful, and economically strong. Maudy Ayunda's version, aside from these things, a highly educated image is also inserted. This research implies that advertising invites people to buy products and influences them to be included in a group bound by a totem.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan totemisme dalam iklan Sabun Lux versi Beauty Superpowers dan versi Maudy Ayunda serta memaparkan adanya persamaan maupun perbedaan dari kedua TVC tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iklan sabun Lux dari gap time produksi yang berbeda tersebut sama-sama mengandung unsur totemisme. Perbedaannya terletak pada citra ambassador yang kemudian dijadikan totem. Versi Beauty Superpowers menampilkan citra yang cantik, sensual, percaya diri, glamor, kaya, berkuasa, dan kuat secara ekonomi. Versi Maudy Ayunda selain hal-hal tersebut, diselipkan juga citra berpendidikan tinggi. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa iklan tidak hanya mengajak masyarakat untuk membeli produk, tetapi juga memengaruhi agar masuk dalam sebuah kelompok yang diikat oleh sebuah totem.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) learning in the Indonesian Language Concentration, Malay Language Department, Fatoni University. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data were obtained from BIPA lecturers, managers of the Indonesian Language Concentration at Fatoni University, documents, and various events in this program. Data analysis uses include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The study results show that BIPA learning has been growing in Thailand, and there have been BIPA lessons at the university level, one of which is Fatoni University. BIPA learning at Fatoni University has been managed with good education management, including institutions, curriculum, teachers, teaching materials, learning methods, and students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) di Konsentrasi Bahasa Indonesia, Jurusan Bahasa Melayu, Universitas Fatoni. Data penelitian deskriptif kualitatif inidiperoleh dari pengajar BIPA, pengelola Konsentrasi Bahasa Indonesia di Universitas Fatoni, dokumen, dan berbagai peristiwa di program ini. Analisis data meliputi: pengumpulan, reduksi, dan penyajian data, serta penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran BIPA sudah semakin berkembang di Thailand dan sudah ada pembelajaran BIPA di tingkat perguruan tinggi, salah satunya di Universitas Fatoni. Pembelajaran BIPA di Universitas Fatoni sudah dikelola dengan manajemen pendidikan yang baik, meliputi kelembagaan, kurikulum, pengajar, materi ajar, metode pembelajaran, dan mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi keterampilan variasi stimulus dengan menggunakan media audio visual bagi mahasiswa yang mengambil program Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA). Jenis penelitian ini adalah studi kasus proses di Universitas Negeri Padang. Data penelitian berupa catatan lapangan yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung dan observasi partisipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran BIPA dapat dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan media audio visual untuk merangsang penglihatan, pendengaran, dan gerak. Penggunaan rekaman dan lagu dapat merangsang pendengaran. Hal ini untuk mempelajari bunyi bahasa dan struktur kalimat dalam bahasa Indonesia. Gambar dapat membantu siswa untuk menguasai berbagai macam objek. Video berupa lagu mampu merangsang gerakan melalui proses menirukan. Dengan demikian, strategi ini dapat digunakan oleh para pengajar BIPA untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang aktif, kreatif, komunikatif, dan kolaboratif.This study aims to describe the strategy of stimulus variation skills using audio-visual media for BIPA students. This type of research is a case study at Universitas Negeri Padang. Research data in the form of field notes is collected through direct observation and participant observation. The results of the study found that learning Indonesian for early speakers through a variety of stimulus strategies in the form of sight, hearing, and movement by utilizing audio-visual media formed active and communicative learning. The use of audio media in the form of recordings and songs can stimulate auditory stimulation to learn the sounds of language and sentence structure in Indonesian. Furthermore, visual media in the form of images can help students to master various kinds of objects and objects. Meanwhile, video playback in the form of songs is able to stimulate movement stimuli through the process of imitating the movements in the video song being played. Thus, this strategy can be used by BIPA teachers to create active, creative, communicative, and collaborative learning.
