Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh sistem kandang bertingkat dan penggunaan ampas the dalam ransum terhadap kualitas telur puyuh. Materi yang digunakan 225 ekor puyuh petelur dengan bobot badan rata-rata 122 ± 8,56 g (CV = 7,03).  Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan pola Split Plot terdiri dari tiga ulangan.  Tingkat kandang (L) sebagai petak utama terdiri dari tingkat kandang 1 (L1), tingkat kandang 2 (L2), tingkat kandang 3 (L3), tingkat kandang 4 (L4), tingkat kandang 5 (L5) dan level penggunaan ampas teh (T) sebagai anak petak yaitu T1 :1,5%, T2: 3%, dan T3: 4,5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan sistem kandang bertingkat sampai dengan lantai 5 tidak mempengaruhi kualitas telur dan penggunaan ampas teh berpengaruh menurunkan tebal kerabang telur. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan ampas teh 4,5% menurunkan tebal kerabangKata kunci :puyuh petelur; tingkat kandang; ampas teh; kualitas telur. ABSTRACT The study was to evaluate the effect of tier cage system and diet tea’s waste on egg quality of layer quail. The material were used 225 layer quail with an average weight122 ± 8,56 g (CV =7,03). The experiment arranged in completely randomized with Split Plot design, consists of three replicated.Tier cage system (L) as the main plot consists is 5 level of tier. L1: level one of the cage, L2: level two,L3: level three, L4: level four, L5: level five and tea’s waste level (T) as the subplot consistsof T1: 1,5%, T2: 3%, dan T3: 4,5%.  The results showed the use of tier cage systems up to level 5 did not affect the quality of the eggs and using of  tea’s waste on diet 3 % (P>,005) but tea’s waste up to 4,5% on diet effect of reducing the thick eggshell. The conclusion was tea’s waste could decrease of egg shell quality.Keywords :layer quail;tier cage system; tea’s waste; egg shell quality.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh free choice feeding dan keragaman sumber protein terhadap kecernaan protein pada burung puyuh jepang (Coturnix–coturnix japonica). Penelitian menggunakan burung puyuh betina usia 3 minggu sebanyak 216 ekor dengan bobot badan rata-rata 56,01 ± 1,61 g. Pemeliharaan puyuh dilakukan pada kandang baterai. Penelitian menggunakan bahan pakan berupa jagung, bekatul, bungkil kedelai, tepung ikan, bungkil kelapa, dan poultry meat meal (PMM). Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 9 ulangan. Setiap ulangan terdiri dari 8 ekor puyuh. T1 = 2 sumber energi (bekatul, jagung) dan 2 sumber protein (tepung ikan, bungkil kedelai); T2 = 2 sumber energi (bekatul, jagung) dan 3 sumber protein tepung ikan, bungkil kedelai, bungkil kelapa); T3 = 2 sumber energi (bekatul, jagung) dan 4 sumber protein (tepung ikan, bungkil kedelai, bungkil kelapa, PMM). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis ragam menggunakan uji F pada taraf 5%, dilanjutkan uji Duncan jika ada pengaruh perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa free choice feeding menyebabkan pengaruh yang tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap parameter konsumsi pakan, laju pakan dan kecernaan protein, sedangkan pada parameter konsumsi protein menunjukan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah puyuh memiliki tingkat kesukaan berbeda terhadap bahan pakan dan free choice feeding dapat membuat puyuh memenuhi kebutuhan fisiologis sesuai kebutuhannya tanpa mempengaruhi laju konsumsi pakan serta kecernaan proteinnya.Kata kunci : bebas pilih, kecernaan protein, burung puyuh.ABSTRACT This experiment was conducted to study the effect of free choice feeding and variety of protein sources on protein digestibility of Japanese Quail (Coturnix - coturnix japonica). Experiment used 216 japanese quail females, 3 weeks of age with average body weight 56,01 ± 1,61 g. They were kept in battery cages. Feedstuffs used in this study are corn, rice bran, soybean meal, fish meal, coconut meal, Poultry Meat Meal (PMM). Experimental design used was completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 replications and 9 treatments. Each replication consists of 8 heads of quail. T1 = 2 energy sources (rice bran, corn) and 2 protein sources (fish meal, soybean meal), T2 = 2 energy sources (rice bran, corn) and 3 sources of protein fish meal, soybean meal, coconut cake), T3 = 2 energy sources (rice bran, corn) and 4 protein sources (fish meal, soybean meal, coconut cake, PMM). Data were analyzed using a variety of test F at the level of 5%, followed by Duncan test if there is significant effect of the treatment. Results showed that the treatment of free choice feeding do not influence significantly (P> 0,05) on feed intake, feed rate, and protein digestibility parameters, but on the protein intake parameter showed that the treatment influence significantly (P< 0,05). The conclusion of experiment is quail has a different level of preference on the variety of feed and free choice feeding can make the quail meet the physiological needs according to their needs without affecting the rate of feed intake and digestibility of the protein.Key words : free choice feeding ; protein digestibility; quail.

Abstract

ABSTRAK             Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan asam sitrat terhadap retensi kalsium dan fosfor pada ransum itik jantan lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan 80 ekor itik jantan lokal umur 8 minggu dengan rata-rata bobot badan 1221,17 + 38,43 g. Ransum basal diformulasi dari jagung kuning, dedak halus, nasi aking, bungkil kedelai, tepung ikan dan mineral. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah penambahan asam sitrat pada T0= 0 g/0% asam sitrat, T1= 1 g/0,67% asam sitrat/ ekor/ hari, T2= 2 g/1,33% asam sitrat/ ekor/ hari dan T3= 3 g/2,00% asam sitrat/ ekor/hari. Parameter yang diamati meliputi konsumsi ransum, konsumsi kalsium dan fosfor, retensi kalsium dan fosfor dan bobot badan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan analisis data menggunakan sidik ragam pada taraf 5 %, jika ada pengaruh yang signifikan dilakukan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan asam sitrat dalam ransum itik jantan lokal berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap retensi kalsium dan retensi fosfor, akan tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) pada konsumsi ransum, konsumsi kalsium dan fosfor serta bobot badan itik jantan lokal.Kata kunci: asam sitrat; itik jantan lokal; retensi; kalsium; fosfor ABSTRACT             The aim of this research was to study the effect of citrit acids addition on calcium and phospor retention of the local male ducks diets. This experiment was conducted using 80 local male ducks at 8 weeks with average live weight 1221,17 + 38,43 g. Basal diets were formulated from yellow corn, rice brand, parched rice, soybean meal, fish meal and mineral. The treatment was added citric acids at level T0= 0 g or 0% ; T1= 1 g or 0,67 ; T2= 2 g or 1,33% and T3= 3 g or 2,00%. The parameters of the research were feed consumption, calcium and phospor consumption, calcium and phospor retention, and body weight. Abstract

ABSTRAK Kualitas dan produktivitas alfalfa dipengaruhi oleh perlakuan yang diberikan antara lain tinggi pemotongan, jenis dan dosis pupuk. Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji karakteristik fotosintetik (luas daun, jumlah klorofil, laju fotosintesis) dan serapan fosfor hijauan alfalfa pada tinggi pemotongan dan pemupukan nitrogen yang berbeda. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Juli sampai Desember 2011. Penanaman alfalfa dilakukan di lahan Dusun Milir, Desa Kenteng, Kecamatan Bandungan, Kabupaten Semarang dengan ketinggian tempat + 800 mdpl. Analisis dilakukan di Laboratorium Ilmu Tanaman Makanan Ternak, Jurusan Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok pola faktorial 2 x 4 dengan 3 ulangan. Kelompok sebagai ulangan. Tinggi pemotongan (T) sebagai faktor pertama (T1 = 5 cm dan T2 = 10 cm), dan dosis pupuk nitrogen (N) sebagai faktor kedua (N1 = 0 kg , N2 = 30 kg, N3 = 60 kg dan N4 = 90 kg N/ha). Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian adalah karakteristik fotosintesis (luas daun, jumlah klorofil, laju fotosintesis) dan serapan fosfor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemupukan nitrogen sampai dosis 90 kg N/ha serta tinggi pemotongan 5 dan 10 cm tidak berpengaruh pada luas daun, jumlah klorofil, laju fotosintesis dan serapan fosfor hijauan alfalfa. Tidak ada interaksi antara tinggi pemotongan dengan pemupukan nitrogen terhadap luas daun, jumlah klorofil, laju fotosintesis dan serapan fosfor hijauan alfalfa.Kata kunci : Alfalfa, tinggi pemotongan, pupuk nitrogen, fotosintesis, serapan fosforABSTRACT Quality and productivity of alfalfa was influence for good management, for example defoliation intensity, variety and dosage of fertilizer. The research was conducted to evaluate photosynthesis characteristics (leaf area, chlorophyll content and photosynthesis rate) and phospor uptake of alfalfa with different defoliation internsity and nitrogen fertilizer. The research was carried out on July until December 2011 at the garden in the village Kenteng, Bandungan, Semarang located at an altitude + 800 mdpl. Analysis was carried out at Forages Crops Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Agriculture, Diponegoro University. The design using randomized block design 2x4 factorial with 3 replications. The first was defoliation intensity (T1 = 5 cm and T2 = 10 cm) the second factor was dosage of nitrogen fertilizer (N1 = 0 kg , N2 = 30 kg, N3 = 60 kg and N4 = 90 kg N/ha). Parameters such as photosynthesis characteristics (leaf area, chlorophyll content and photosynthesis rate) and phospor uptake. The results showed that nitrogen fertilization until dosage 90 kg N/ha and defoliation intensity 5 and 10 cm did not affect to leaf area, chlorophyll content and photosynthesis rate and phospor uptake. There is not interaction defoliation intensity and nitrogen fertilization to leaf area, chlorophyll content and photosynthesis rate and phospor uptake.Keywords: Alfalfa, defoliation intensity, nitrogen fertilizer, photosynthesis, phospor uptake

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian adalah (1) mengetahui performa ayam broiler jantan yang diberi ransum daun S. molesta rawa pening, (2) mengetahui pendapatan dan profitabilitas ayam broiler jantan yang diberi ransum daun S.molesta rawa pening. Materi penelitian menggunakan DOC strain lohmann jantan umur 2 minggu berjumlah 100 ekor, dengan pakan menggunakan jagung, bekatul, bungkil kedelai, tepung ikan, minyak nabati, grit, lysin, methionin, premix, dan daun kayambang (S. molesta) yang diambil di daerah Rawa Pening Ambarawa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan masing-masing lima perlakuan. Variabel yang diamati meliputi konsumsi ransum, konversi ransum dan pertambahan bobot badan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pada penggunaan penambahan S. molesta level 6% pada ransum perlakuan T1 memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertambahan bobot badan serta dapat meningkatkan pendapatan karkas sebesar Rp 306.546,26 dan nilai profitabilitas karkas 38,21%. Berdasarkan hasil kesimpulan secara finansial ternak ayam broiler jantan dengan penambahan daun S. molesta pada level 6% layak dijalankan.Kata Kunci : Ayam Broiler Jantan; Performans; Analisis; Profitabilitas ABSTRACT The purposes of this study were to :(1) know the performance of male broilers fed rations Salvinia molesta leaf swamp dizziness, (2) determine the revenue and profitability of male broilers fed rations S. molesta leaf mash reel. Materials research using strains DOC Lohman male age 2 weeks totaling 100 individuals, with feed use of corn , rice bran, soybean meal, fish meal, vegetable oil, grit, lysine, methionin, premix, and S. molesta captured in the Rawa Pening Ambarawa. The method used is the method of completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and each of the five treatments. Observed variables include feed intake, feed conversion and weight gain. The results showed the use of S. molesta adding a level of 6 % in the T1 treatment ration influence on body weight gain and increase the revenue of Rp 306,546.26 carcasses and carcass value of 38,21 % profitability. Based on the conclusions financially male broiler chickens by addition of S. molesta leaf at a level of 6 % a gave the best value.Keywords : Broiler Males; Performans; Analysis; Profitability

Abstract

Ransum protein needs are influenced by the amount required for basic living,growth, and production. Cotton seed oilcake potential as a protein supplement foranimal feed because protein that present in cotton seed oilcake reaches 29.57 to31.13%. Cotton seed oilcake containing high protein and good quality given toruminants largely degraded by microbes in the rumen, so that influence to theefficiency of protein utilization. Protein is one of the important nutrients needed byruminants at various levels of production and the various phases of his life. A highprotein in feed ingredients needs to be done protection that are not easily degradedby rumen microbes Protection of proteins can be done in several ways, namelyphysical, chemical and biological. The study aims to assess fermentability feedingredients protein source that is protected by tannins from extracts of tea waste interms of measuring the concentration of NH3, Undegraded Protein and total proteinproduction. The results showed that the concentration of ammonia in cotton seedoilcake protected with increased of tannin levels decrease NH3 concentration andincrease the levels of UDP (p <0.05) and increase total protein. The average of NH3concentration, UDP and total protein in T0, T1, T2, T3 consecutive are (7,52 mM;10,91%; 369,62 mg/g), (6,60 mM; 11,45%; 439,50mg/g), (6,55 mM; 12,41%;457,35 mg/g), (6,32 mM; 13,44%; 514,95 mg/g). The conclusions of this study thatthe cotton seed oilcake protected dregs of tea tannin extracts with level 0,25%,0,50% and 0,75% can decrease the concentration of NH3, increase UDP and totalprotein. The protection level of Cotton seed oilcake with tannin extract the best teawaste is level 0,75% (% b/b BK).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tampilan produksi susu dan kadar lemak susu kambing PE akibat perlakuan imbangan hijauan dan konsentrat. Materi penelitian terdiri dari 12 ekor kambing PE laktasi. Bahan pakan yang digunakan adalah konsentrat dan hijauan yang terdiri dari tebon dan legum (kacang-kacangan). Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan imbangan hijauan : konsentrat (T1= 80%:20%, T2= 70%:30%, T3= 60%:40%). Parameter yang diamati meliputi konsumsi BK, produksi susu dan kadar lemak susu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa imbangan hijauan dan konsentrat pada ransum kambing PE tidak berpengaruh (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi bahan kering pakan, produksi susu dan kadar lemak susu. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa imbangan hijauan konsentrat pada ransum kambing PE laktasi tidak berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi bahan kering pakan, produksi susu dan kadar lemak susu.Kata kunci: kambing Peranakan Ettawah, konsumsi, produksi susu, kadar lemak susu.ABSTRACT This experiment was aimed to determine the appearance of milk production and milk fat content affected by treatments of counterpart forage and concentrates. The material consisted of 12 heads goat lactation. Feed ingredients used are concentrates and forage consisting of Tebon and legumes (beans). The equipment used consisted of a capacity of 250 cc sample bottles were made of glass, light-tight flasks and beakers. Experimental design used was completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments (T). The treatment used is a balance of forage and concentrates respectively (T1) 80%: 20%, (T2) 70%: 30%, (T3) 60%: 40%. Parameters observed dry matter intake, include milk production and milk fat content. The results showed that the balance of forage and concentrates on goat ration had no effect (P> 0.05) on dry matter intake, milk production and milk fat content. Based on the results of the study concluded that the balance of the concentrate to forage ration goat lactation had no effect on dry matter feed intake, milk production and milk fat contents.Keywords : Ettawah grade goats, intake, milk production, milk fat.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ransum dengan penggunaan tepung daun ubi jalar (Ipomea batatas) terhadap bobot hidup, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas ayam broiler yang dilaksanakan Di Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian, Universitas Diponegoro Semarang selama 42 hari. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap menggunakan 112 ekor ayam jantan berumur 20 hari yang dibagi menjadi 28 unit kandang dengan bobot badan rata-rata 845,2 ± 39,56 g. Campuran ransum yang digunakan disusun dari jagung giling, bungkil kedelai, bekatul, tepung ikan dan PMM. Perlakuan terdiri dari 7 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan: T0 (Ransum tanpa penggunaan tepung daun ubi jalar/ kontrol), T1 (Ransum dengan penggunaan tepung daun ubi jalar hijau 1%), T2 (Ransum dengan penggunaan tepung daun ubi jalar hijau 2%), T3 (Ransum dengan penggunaan tepung daun ubi jalar hijau 3%), T4 (Ransum dengan penggunaan tepung daun ubi jalar ungu 1%), T5 (Ransum dengan penggunaan tepung daun ubi jalar ungu 2%) dan T6 (Ransum dengan penggunaan tepung daun ubi jalar ungu 3%). Parameter yang diteliti yaitu bobot hidup, bobot karkas, persentase bobot karkas. Bobot hidup, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas yang diperoleh dianalisis ragam dengan uji F. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kesimpulan yang diperoleh penggunaan daun ubi jalar hijau dan ungu  dalam ransum dengan taraf hingga 3% tidak adanya pengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap produksi karkas. Daun ubi jalar baik yang hijau maupun yang ungu dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pakan ternak ayam broiler.Kata kunci : daun ubi jalar; karkas; ayam broiler ABSTRACT The research purpose is to find out the response of broiler consuming sweet potato leaves meal (Ipomea batatas) on live weight, carcass weight and carcass weight percentage was conducted at Faculty of Animal Agriculture, Diponegoro University Semarang. The experiment design was a completely randomized wich use 112 male broiler chicken at 20 days old. The birds were placed randomly into 28 cages. The mix rations was consisted of yellow corn, soybeans meal, rice bran, fish meal, PPM. The experimental design used in this study was a Randomized Complete Design with 7 treatments and 4 replicates. The treatments were: T0 (ration without use of sweet potato leaf meal/control), T1 (ration with use of sweet potato green leaf meal 1%), T2 (ration with use of sweet potato green leaf meal 2%), T3 (ration with use of sweet potato green leaf meal 3%), T4 (ration with sweet potato purple leaf meal 1%), T5 (ration with use of sweet potato purple leaf meal 2%) and T6 (ration with use of sweet potato purple leaf meal 3%). The parameters studied were carcass production there were live weight, carcass weight and carcass weight percentage. Live weight, carcass weight and carcass weight percentage variance was analyzed by F test. Based on the results of this study, the conclucion the use of sweet potato leaves of green and purple in the ration with a level of up to 3% no significant effect (P> 0,05) on carcass production. Sweet potato leaves green and purple can be used as a feed stuff of broiler chicken.Keywords: sweet potato leaves; carcass; chicken

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai daya ikat air, kadar air, dan protein nugget ayam yang disubstitusi dengan jamur tiram putih. Data hasil penelitian diolah secara statistik menggunakan analisis ragam pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan apabila terdapat pengaruh nyata terhadap nilai daya ikat air, kadar air dan kadar protein dilanjutkan dengan Uji Wilayah Ganda Duncan. Perlakuan yang diterapkan (T) adalah nugget ayam yang disubstitusi jamur tiram putih meliputi T0=0%, T1=20%, T2=30%, T3=40%, dan T4= 50%. Berdasarkan analisis ragam diketahui bahwa substitusi nugget ayam dengan jamur tiram putih memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05) pada kadar protein, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) pada daya ikat air dan kadar air.Kata Kunci : nugget ayam, jamur tiram putih, daya ikat air, kadar air, kadar protein

Abstract

ABSTRACTProductions of the broiler chicken especially as broilers have ups and downs, especially in a business partnership. Chickens are excellent for public consumption because the cost of it is cheaper than beef and mutton, chicken meat is growing faster than any other animals. This aims of this study is to determine the amount of income broiler farmers, that are influenced by factors against income broiler farmers in Kecamatan Gunung Pati. Data was collected by observation and interview with the breeder in Kecamatan Gunung Pati. The methods of data analysis will be performed by multiple linear regression analysis, that was used to test the effect of the independent variable is the number of DOC (Day Old Chick) (X1), FCR (X2), mortality (X3), harvest weight (X4) and long maintenance (X5) the dependent variable is the level of income in broilers in the district partnerships in Kecamatan Gunung Pati (Y). The study showed that the revenue generated broiler breeders in the district Of Kecamatan Gunung Pati in the period amounted to Rp 53.765.000. Ranch reserves to be developed because it can provide benefits to the chicken farmer. The results showed also that the number of DOC, FCR, Mortality, Weight Harvest, and maintenance Old obtained F count of 1,047 with a significant level of 0.000. Key Words : broiler breeders; income; patnership patterns.ABSTRAKBudidaya ayam khususnya ayam broiler sebagai ayam pedaging, mengalami pasang surut, terutama pada usaha kemitraan. Daging ayam menjadi primadona untuk konsumsi masyarakat dikarenakan biayanya yang relatif murah dibandingkan daging sapi dan kambing, pertumbuhan daging ayam sangatlah cepat dibandingkan ternak yang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya pendapatan peternak ayam broiler yang dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor terhadap pendapatan peternak ayam broiler di kecamatan gunung pati.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan wawancara kepada para peternak di kecamatan tersebut. Metode analisis data akan dilakukan dengan analisis Regresi Linier Berganda digunakan untuk menguji pengaruh variabel independen yaitu Jumlah DOC (Day Old Chick) (X1), FCR (X2), Mortalitas (X3),bobot panen (X4) dan lama pemeliharaan (X5) terhadap variabel dependen yaitu tingkat pendapatan pada kemitraan ayam broiler di Kecamatan gunung pati (Y). Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pendapatan yang dihasilkan peternak ayam broiler di Kecamatan Gunung Pati dalam satu periode sebesar Rp. 55.765.000. Peternakan layak untuk dikembangkan sebab dapat memberikan keuntungan pada peternak ayam tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukan juga bahwa Jumlah DOC (Day Old Chick), FCR, Mortalitas, Bobot Panen, dan Lama pemeliharaan diperoleh F hitung sebesar 1.047 dengan tingkat signifikan 0,000. Kata Kunci: peternak ayam broiler; pendapatan; sistem kemitraan.
