Abstract

In Modern civilization, artificial intelligence is transforming rapidly until it reaches its important outputs. The purpose of this study is to examine the reasons for its civilization's progress based on the ancient Islamic civilization and to examine the uniqueness of the Arabic language for facilitating social communication and contributing to the prosperity of Islamic civilization, as well as its relationship to the tremendous advances in technological applications based on the arts and sciences founded by Muslim scholars. In their research, the two researchers used the qualitative approach and the desk and descriptive approach, as they analyzed the education book based on the collected data and information. As for the results of the research, artificial intelligence is the most important outcome of the Fourth Industrial Revolution due to its multiple uses in educational, medical, economic, military, and industrial applications, among others. In addition, the emergence of artificial intelligence and its development cannot be avoided by the contribution of the Arabic language, relying on the review and study of Muslim scholars’ theories as a basic reference. For instance, the books of Muslim scholars that were written in Arabic such as Al-Jabr and Al-Muqabbalah by Al-Khwarizmi were indeed enlightening for the development of technologies. Therefore, Arabic constitutes a bridge in the transition of the ancient world civilization to the modern era.

Abstract

Arabic writing skills in the modern era are not only done with conventional media such as paper and blackboards, but also are applied with the help of digital media as one of the pillars of digital literacy. Arabic language learning at SMP Nurussalam Depok is carried out in a language laboratory, but the use of laboratory computers is still limited only as a provider of material and has not been used for making projects that can optimize Arabic writing competence and hone students' creativity. Creative Thinking becomes urgent in modern times. Improving creative thinking and writing in Arabic can be done by implementing Project Based Learning (PjBL). The research problems are how to develop a digital literacy based PjBL model to optimize Arabic writing skills and creative thinking, its validity, and its effectiveness, while the aims are to find out the form of digital literacy based PjBL model development to optimize Arabic writing competence and creative thinking, as well as the results of its validity and effectiveness. Using the method of Research and Development (R&D), the data comes from tests, questionnaires, and observations. The research subjects were 20 students of class IX at SMP Nurussalam Depok. Product validation value is 88.33 (very feasible). The PjBL model based on digital literacy is effective in optimizing Arabic writing competence and creative thinking. The average pretest<posttest is 67.85<89.90 with a significance of 0.00<0.05. The average value of creative thinking is 82.22 or very suitable for the uniqueness of ideas, meaningful product creation, process suitability, and motivation. Hopefully educators can develop and utilize the models that have been developed for learning.

Abstract

Curriculum reform is one of the most essential issues in language education, as it serves as the foundation for all teaching and learning processes. Through curriculum development, educational objectives are established, instructional programs are designed, learning activities and teaching strategies are determined, targeted competencies are identified, and appropriate assessment methods are developed to support effective teaching and meaningful learning. This study discusses the reform of the Arabic language curriculum from both theoretical and practical perspectives in order to ensure that Arabic language education keeps pace with ongoing scientific and technological advancements. It aims to equip learners with linguistic competencies that can be effectively applied in various contexts of oral and written communication. The study focuses on reforming the curriculum for teaching Arabic as both a foreign language and the language of Islamic education. This topic is particularly important because curriculum reform constitutes the foundation for improving Arabic language education in Indonesia. The study emphasizes the necessity of conducting comprehensive curriculum evaluation before implementing any reform, taking into account national educational policies as well as political, social, and technological contexts. Ultimately, it argues that meaningful improvement in Arabic language education requires the development of an appropriate curriculum and language policy capable of addressing educational challenges and meeting contemporary learning needs.

Abstract

Al-qalb al-makānī (metathesis) is a linguistic phenomenon in Arabic involving the transposition of letters within a word. It is regarded as one of the mechanisms through which the Arabic language develops and forms part of the study of derivational morphology. Metathesis refers to the rearrangement of the letters of a lexical root while either preserving the original meaning or producing a functionally different one. In Arabic morphology, the triliteral root consists of three consonants conventionally represented as fāʾ, ʿayn, and lām, corresponding to the first, second, and third root letters. Metathesis may occur when the position of one root letter changes, as illustrated by word pairs such as laṭama–malaṭa, dhabaḥa–badhaḥa, and ghaḍiba–baghaḍa. In these examples, the second root letter in the first word becomes the third root letter in the second. Such changes may either preserve the original meaning or result in semantic variation. This article examines the phenomenon of metathesis in simple hamzated triliteral verbs recorded in Al-Munjid dictionary and provides a structural and semantic analysis of the forms in which this phenomenon occurs.
