Abstract

Module constitutes one of material teach applicable to increase learning quality. Largely student most constraint studies mathematics because terminological they that mathematics abstraction. Berdasakan it is developed module which concern material with student real life. One of approaching in mathematics that gets bearing with student real life is REACT'S approaching (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring). To the effect this research is develop module that valid and paktis on Line and Line material with REACT'S approaching. This observational type constitute development research with model developmental ADDIE who covers five subject steps, which is analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Instrument that is utilized is sheet validate material pro, sheet validates media pro, and student response questionnaire. Subjek is this research is SMK'S student Ile Boleng's Country brazes X. Kevalidan module reaches score percentage average 77%. Seen from practicability aspect, practical stated module with score percentage average 95% by pretty good categories.

Abstract

Creative thinking in classroom learning needs to be optimized so that students have more skills in dealing with and solving problems that arise, especially those related to mathematics. The purpose of this study was to describe the ability of students to think creatively when solving pythagorean theorems in learning with the learning model of Submission and Problem Solving (JUCAMA). This research method is qualitative research. The subjects of this study were 6 eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Laboya Barat, which consisted of 2 students with high mathematics abilities, 2 students with moderate mathematics abilities, and 2 students with low math abilities. Data taken through tests, interviews and documentation. Then the data is analyzed and described. Analysis of creative thinking tests refers to three indicators of creative thinking namely fluency, flexibility, and novelty. The results showed that students who have high math skills can fulfill three indicators of creative thinking based on Siswono theory because they can show fluency, flexibility, and renewal. Students with mathematical abilities are able to fulfill two indicators and cannot fulfill happiness. Meanwhile, students with low mathematical abilities do not fulfill three indicators based on Siswono theory because they are not fluent, not flexible and not renewable in solving the problem.

Abstract

Mathematics learning achievement is the learning outcome/ability achieved by students during and after completing mathematics lessons where the results are expressed in the form of numbers or other symbols. Learning achievement is influenced by several factors including family economic background and parental support. This research is quantitative research, the study population was all VII grade students of Boawae 1 Junior High School totaling 101 students. Sampling using simple random sampling, where researchers about 24% of the population to be selected as samples, so that the study sample amounted to 24 students. The stages of this research are data collection using a questionnaire then analyzing the data using Pearson product moment correlation. The data collection process uses questionnaire techniques. Research data were analyzed using Pearson product moment correlation. Based on this study, it can be concluded that There is an insignificant relationship between the family's economic background on the mathematics learning achievement because the value of rcount is 0.242 smaller rtable at a significant level of 5% that is 0.404 and there is a relationship between parental support for mathematics learning achievement because the rcount of 0.747 is greater than rtable at a significant level of 5% which is 0.404 and there is a jointrelationship between the family's economic background and parental support for mathematics learning achievement because the Fcount value of 14.701 is greater than Ftable at the 5% significance level of 3.47.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to produce an Open ended problem based Mathematics module on the Valid, Practical, and Effective set material that was used in class VII of Baiturrohmah Islamic Middle School in Malang. This research is a development research with the development of ADDIE, which includes Analysis, where the researcher analyzes the curriculum, needs, and characteristics of students. At the Design stage, the researcher designs the module outline. At the Development stage, researchers develop modules according to the initial revision. At the implementation stage, the module was tested in class VII of Baiturrohmah Islamic Islamic Junior High School Malang by distributing student response questionnaires. In the Evaluation stage, an analysis of the results of student response questionnaires was carried out. This study produced a mathematical module on the set of materials based on Open ended problems. The results showed that: (1) the material expert validator got a score with a mean of 3.08 and 3.47 in the Very Valid category; (2) the assessment of the expert practitioner validator gets an average score of 3.49 with a very valid category. As for the response of students to get an average score of 3.27 with the Strongly Agree category, and the learning outcomes of students' mastery level reached 85,71% with very good categories. Based on the data analysis described above, it can be concluded that the mathematics module on Open ended problem-based set of material is valid, practical, and effective to be used as teaching materials for Grade VII junior high school / MTs students.

Abstract

One of the general sciences that has a relationship with al quran is mathematics. This study aims to examine social arithmetic in the calculation of faraidh knowledge in the Surah An-Nisa. The analysis is intended to know and understand contextually the Surah An-Nisa which is closely related to the faraidh contained therein. In this study using qualitative descriptive methods. This type of research is literature study. The subjects in this study are social arithmetic and faraidh, while the object in this research is the Al-Quran. The procedures carried out to collect data in this study include documentation documentation studies and focused discussions. The results of this study indicate that in Surah An-Nisa which consists of 176 ayah, it can be concluded that there are nine ayah in Surah An-Nisa which explains the science of faraidh. The ten ayah referred to are: Surah An-Nisa ayah: 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 33, and ayah 176. So, the remaining 167 ayah do not explain faraidh. As previously explained, there are nine ayah in the Surah An-nisa which explain faraidh, which is also social arithmetic.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the metacognition process of students in Baiturrohmah Malang Islamic Junior High School Class VIII which have a field dependent (FD) and field independent (FI) cognitive style in solving mathematical problems in solid geomethry topic. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research with purposive sampling method. The subject were 1 FD and 1 FI. The subjects were selected by GEFT test. The instrumentsused in this research are broblem solving test and interview guidelines. The resultsare (1) the process of metacognition of FD subject in problemsolving, on awareness indicator, it can be seen that subject was able to mention what was ask of the question completely, subject was mistaken in writing down what was known. On regulating indicator the subject has been able to determine the plan and carry out the plan correctly. The indicator evaluating the subject has been able to re-examine the answers and give the conclusion, (2) the process of metacognition of FI subject in problem solving. In the awareness indicator, it can be seen that subject has been able to mention what is known and asked about the problem well. Regulating indicatorthe subject was able to arrange the plan and carry out the plan correctly. evaluating indicator the subject has not been able to re-examine the answer that have been done but have not arrived at conclusions.

Abstract

Mathematics is a lesson that is always a reference to intelligence and completeness of the process of student education anytime and anywhere. The research aims to analyze the difficulties in the seventh grade students of SMP 4 Wewewa Timur in understanding the concept of mathematical material, namely set. This research is included in the type of descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were six students. Instruments in the process of collecting data are interview guidelines and question test sheets. This study uses data collection techniques including test methods, interview methods, and documentation. The results of the research process found that the difficulty of class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Timur in solving questions in the set material as follows: 1) difficulty using the concept; 2) difficulties in carrying out basic mathematical operations and addition and subtraction operations; 3) difficulty understanding the problem of the story and determining the things needed to solve the problem. Student difficulties are caused by several factors, namely 1) internal factors, causes of difficulties that originate from within the student itself; and 2) external factors, student difficulties caused and originating from outside the student. Based on the results of the interview test the factors that influence students and become the cause of student learning difficulties are: 1) low capacity or intelligence of students; 2) not confident, 3)mathematics learning disabilities; 4) learning disability and 5) the influence of the environment around students.

Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesulitan belajar siswa dalam mempelajari variabel (peubah), konstanta, koefisien, faktor-faktornya, jenis suku, sukusuku sejenis, dan suku-suku tak sejenis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 siswa kelas VII A SMP 1 Muhammadiyah Kartasura. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar soal faktor perkalian, koefisien, konstanta, suku, dan suku sejenis serta lembar wawancara.Teknik analisis data menggunakan konsep Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep dan definisi tentang jenis suku, faktor perkalian ,suku-suku sejenis atau sukusuku tak sejenis, suku, konstanta, variabel, dan koefisien bentuk aljabar. (2) siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengelompokkan bentuk aljabar berdasarkan jenis sukunya. (3) siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam membedakan faktor perkalian bentuk aljabar dan faktor perkalian bilangan. (4) siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam membedakan suku-suku sejenis atau tak sejenis beserta alasannya. (5) siswa kesulitan dalam mengklasifikasikan suku, konstanta, variabel, dan koefisien bentuk aljabar.

Abstract

Kesalahan dapat mengajarkan kepada mahasiswa dan dosen untuk melakukan refleksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan persamaan kuadrat pada mata kuliah aljabar elementer sehingga jenis penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika IKIP Budi Utomo Malang sebanyak 24 mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil jawaban dari mahasiswa yang hadir pada saat pengambilan data, terdapat 3 orang yang menjawab uraian pertanyaan dengan benar dan 21 orang jawabannya salah. Kesalahan yang ditemukan diantaranya kesalahan fakta dan kesalahan prinsip. Kesalahan fakta yang dilakukan mahasiwa yaitu kekeliruan dalam menuliskan apa yang diketahui dalam soal. Kesalahan prinsip yag ditemukan diantaranya salah menjawab soal.

Abstract

Teori estimasi/penaksiran memiliki dua pendekatan yaitupendekatan statistika klasik dan pendekatan statistika global(Bayesian). Statistika klasik adalah statistika dimana tatacarpengambilan keputusannya didasarkan hanya pada data sampel yang diambil dari populasi. Sedangkan statistika Bayesian dalampengambilan keputusannya didasarkan pada informasi baru dari data yang diamati (sampel) dan pengetahuan sebelumnya. Padtulisan ini Analisis Regresi Cox akan diambil sebagai contoh penaksiran parameter dengan pendekatan statistika klasik danAnalisis Survival Bayesian sebagai contoh pendekatan statistikglobal (Bayesian). Estimasi parameter Survival Bayesiamenggunakan algoritma MCMC karena model yang komplek/rumitsehingga sulit diselesaikan sedangkan model Regresi Coxmenggunakan metode partial likelihood. Hasil yangdiperoleh dari estimasi parameter tersebut tidak close form sehingga perldilakukan dengan metode iterasi Newton-Raphson.
