Abstract

Development and transportation services business competition is increasing rapidly. They compete in providing the best service to retain customers. This research was conducted at PT.Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Regional Operations IV Semarang object KA (train) Blora Jaya. Of user data KA Blora Jaya known of the fluctuations in the number of service users KA Blora Jaya and their number of user complaints Blora Jaya train services relating to facilities, infrastructure, and operational support services. As a company engaged in the field of services, PT.KAI (Persero) DAOP IV Semarang must provide good service to customers, good service offset by price according to what is given by PT. KAI (Persero) DAOP IV Semarang.This study aims to determine the effect of price (X1) and quality of service (X2) on customer loyalty (Y) railway services Blora Jaya. This type of research uses explanatory research with data collection method using interviews and data collection tools used questionnaires to a sample of 100 respondents KA customers Blora Jaya using purposive sampling method. Using analytical techniques validity, reliability, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test and F test by means of SPSS 16.The results showed that the quality of service has a strong influence on customer loyalty by 49.4%, while the price is quite a strong effect on customer loyalty by 21,7%. This indicates that the variable quality of service to customer loyalty variable effect is higher than the variable price.Advice can be given to increase customer loyalty is to improve the quality of railway services Blora Jaya which is considered important by the service user, but still less attention from the company such as the availability of bins, seating capacity, the slow ticket officer in providing service that is the least number of counters that opened and have not been applied to tickets purchased online services.

Abstract

Nowadays, the growth of SMEs in Indonesia is growing rapidly in the food sector. This is caused by an interesting food SMEs, such as SMEs Martabak. However, there are still consumers who assess the lack of quality products, price, and locations that exist. It causes a low purchase decisions.This study aims to determine the effect of product quality, price and location to purchasing decisions on SMEs Mas Ipung’s Martabak in Housing Plamongan Indah Semarang.This research is a survey research using questionnaire as its instrument. Population and samples used in this study are consumers who make a purchase in SMEs Mas Ipung’s Martabak. 97 respondents choosing by using Incidental Sampling method, which is a sampling technique that is done by chance.This study concludes that product quality, price and location have positive and significant effect on purchasing decision, either partially or simultaneously. Location variables have the greatest influence of other variables. The results are obtained by analyzing the primary data using validity test, reliability test, cross tabulation, correlation coefficient, simple regression analysis, determination coefficient, significance test (t test) two way.Based on this, the researcher suggested that the owner can pay attention to the quality products, price and location layout of SMEs.

Abstract

As the development of the economy, companies in the services sector has increased rapidly, especially in entertainment services. This is due to the entertainment services has become people needs to relieve their fatigue and boredom from daily activities. In serving the customers, Family Fun Karaoke Keluarga Outlet SMG-03 Semarang is one of the karaoke company growing in Semarang, but the number of visitors has decreased from year 2011 – 2013 is accompanied by an increasing number of incoming complaints.This study aimed to know the effect of service quality and rate on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction Family Fun Karaoke Keluarga Outlet SMG-03 Semarang. Type of research is used explanatory. The population in this study is the customer Family Fun Karaoke Keluarga Outlet SMG-03 Semarang, by using the theory of Cooper and Emory then taken 100 respondents to be sampled and the sampling technique used a combination of incidental sampling and purposive sampling. Metohods of data collection using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Measurement scale used a Likert scale. The data analysis used validity test, reliability test, correlation coefficient, analysis of simple and multiple linear regression, determinant coefficient, significance test (t test and F test) and path analysis.The study concluded that the quality of service and rate altogether (simultaneously) or individually affect the dependent variable of customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Based on the results of path analysis, the direct effect of service quality on customer loyalty smaller than the indirect effect, whereas the direct effect of rate on customer loyalty greater than the indirect effect.Suggestion of this study is Family Fun Karaoke Keluarga Outlet SMG-03 Semarang should be able to improve the quality of its services such as equipment provide, uniforms provide a more polite to work for employee and increase the ability of employees to serve customers and determine the relevant rate in order to continue to survive in the midst of intense competition at this time.

Abstract

Every company needed human resources management to achieve success. Human resource management played an active role in improving performance of the employeethrough a number of variables that affect it, such as leadership, motivation, and workingdiscipline. Perum Perumnas Regional V Semarang was a public company engaged in the saleand development of national housing, but in fact there were still problem that cause adecrease in performance of the employee. So, the purpose in this study to identify and explainthe effect of leadership, motivation, and working discipline at Perum Perumnas RegionalOffice V Semarang.This type of research was explanatory. Data collection technique with interviews andquestionnaires against 62 respondents with saturated sampling technique. The analysistechnique used is quantitative and descriptive analysis using validity, reliability test, crosstabulation, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple and multipleregression analysis, as well as the significance test (t test and F test) with SPSS version 16.0for windows.The results and discussion, based on the categorization of leadership in company wasquite good, the work of each employee motivation was high, discipline of employee was highcategorization, and the performance of the employee at the company was quite well.Partially, leadership had positive and significant effect on performance of the employee, therelationship between the two variables was average with a correlation of (0.542), thecoefficient of determination of (28.2%), motivation had positive and significant effect on theperformance of regression coefficient, the relation between the two variables was high with acorrelation of ( 0.762), the coefficient of determination of (57.3%), working discipline hadpositive and significant effect on the performance of the regression coefficient, the relationbetween the two variables was high with a correlation of (0.760), the coefficient ofdetermination of (57%). Simultaneously leadership, motivation and working discipline hadpositive and significant effect on the performance of the regression coefficient Y = 1,877+0,124X1 + 0,410X2 + 0,372X3, the relationship of independent variables (X) and dependent(Y) was very strong with a correlation of (0.863), the coefficient of determination of (68.3%).The conclusion there was positive and significant influence between leadership,motivation, and working discipline on performance of the employee. The suggestion was thecompany need to pay attention to communication between leaders and employees in how toapproach, provide guidance and error correcting any work performed by employees, as wellas effort to improve employee work motivation by giving rewards and give a sanction againstemployees who violate the discipline of time (delay) firmly.

Abstract

The issue of this study is not all of employee increased their performance as time goes by. It shown from the sum of complains and the rate of employee absent in PDAM Tirta Amerta Blora Regency which having a quite significant fluctuation in each month of 2014 and 2015.Based on Rahmatullah (2003) in Setiyawan nad Waridin (2006) performance is influenced by 3 base factors, which one of them is individual factor which include work disipline and motivation.The aim for this study is to examine the effect of work discipline and motivation toward employee’s work. This study using explanatory research method. Population of this study are all of the employee of PDAM Tirta Amerta Blora Regency, with total 103 employee, using sampling method of Slovin 10% formula, thus the final sample used are 51 employees. The collection of data technique is using questionnaire through the test of validity and reability, advance interview and observation. Data is analyzed using linear and multiple regression, correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, t- test and f-test using SPSS ver. 20 program.The result of this study show that work discipline toward work employee have intermediate correlation with rate 0,476. The determination coefficient (R2) of work discipline to employee’s work are 22,7%. Motivation toward employee’s work have intermediate correlation with rate 0,576. The determination coefficient (R2) of work motivation to employee’s work are 33,1%. Simultanously, work discipline and motivation give positive effects toward employee’s work with F count (12,901) > F table (3,187) with signification 0,000 < 0,05. The conclusion of this study is work discipline and motivation give positive effect toward PDAM Tirta Amerta Blora Regency employee’s workRecommendation for the company to improving employee’s work, company need to improve their attention toward employee work discipline and motivation thus it can improbe employee’s work..

Abstract

employee performance affects for the continuity of the company's business, the company needs to pay attention to its employees in order to be able to work in accordance with the company's goals.several things that can be affect employees performance include supervision and training. The type of research used is Explanatory research, 67 sample out of 201 employees of CV Laksana Finishing Department with a sampling technique that is simple random sampling. the resultsof statistical test showed the correlation coefficient of supervison is 0.421 and training is 0.463 and have t count> t table, and supervision 3,746 and supervision 4,216, indicating supervision and training have  a significant and positive influence on employee performance. The coefficient of determination for supervision and training together contributes 25% of the overall performance of Finishing Department. Advise given by making news for rules violators and training must change from fundamental focus to progressive training and focus on improving quality of product.

Abstract

This research is motivated by globalization era that made a changed economy issued, like demands for economy actors to compete competitively. Every organization be charged to face every changed that happen responsively and can to equalize between external organization change and internal organitaion change. So that organization can adjust those changes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadership, work culture and compensation  on employee performance of PT. Pelindo III Branch Tanjung Emas Semarang. This research method is explanatory, with data collection through questionnaires and interviews. The sampling technique used purposive technique sampling. The samples are 55 peoples whom are employees of PT. Pelindo III Branch Tanjung Emas Semarang. The analysis technique used was qualitative and quantitative. Quantitative analysis using validity, reliability, cross tabulation, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple and multiple regression analysis, as well as the significance test (t test and F test). The results of this study showed a relatively high level of kepemimpinan, but there are still residing in the medium category. Work culture is in good category, although there are still existing in the medium category. compensation is in good category, but there is still residing in the medium category. High employee performance, but still there are employees who have medium performance.All independent variables, named leadership (X1), work culture (X2), and compensation (X3) together (simultaneously) or individually (partial) affect employee performance dependent variable (Y). Advice can be given that the management of PT. Pelindo Branch Tanjung Emas Semarang need to give more attention to leadership that applied by general manager. Continously guidance need to apply for better  performance of employee. And outbond activity need to present more to increase the teamwork. . Companies need to increase the compensation given to employees. This business can be done by providing the opportunity greater promotion and fees adjustment according to the hard work and dedication of the employees. The need for continued research by the company or outside the company regarding other variables that can provide additional contributions to improve employee performance.

Abstract

The research based on the fact of growing number various alternative transportation services, especially ground transportation. Although bus is still a prima donna for the majority of Indonesian people as an option.The purpose of this research was to find out the influence of brand image andservice quality for user of PO. Bejeu. The population was costumer PO. Bejeu of Semarang-Jakarta. Sample in this research was 100 respondents, which obtained using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis in this study using SPSS 18.0 for windows, which previously tested the validity, reliability, determination coefficient, correlation coefficient, simple linear regression and multiple linear regression (t-test and F-test) in advance.The results of this research show that brand image and service quality partially or simultaneously affect decisions to use. Quality of Service provide greater influence for decisions on the use than Brand Image. Suggestions can be submitted is brand image of PO. Bejeu needs to be improved again, so that the image of PO. Bejeu as transportation company can be maintained. For example by improvingconvenience of PO. bejeu. In addition, service quality also needs to be improved. Company need to discipline and improve the performance of their employees in order to be more responsive to customers.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the influence of motivation and discipline on employee productivity of  production department PT.FUMIRA Semarang. This study used an explanatory research approach to the 83 respondents to the census approach. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using test validity, reliability testing, cross-table analysis, the correlation coefficient, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, the coefficient of determination, t test and F test with tools SPSS 18 for windows. The results obtained are the motivation and discipline, positive impact on employee productivity, and discipline variables are variables that affect the greatest impact on employee productivity.

Abstract

Goal of companies is become the market leader of their products. To achieve it, companies have to increase their sales volume. As Toyota brand holder in Central Java and DIY, PT. New Ratna Motor always tries to lead the market share in all car types, including two-tonnage vehicles (truck) class. Toyota Dyna becomes the favorite of Toyota in this class, which the competition in this class is tighter. Promotion, price, and service are some of important factors which can be related with consumer’s purchase decision of Toyota Dyna and the other brands. This research is aimed to analyze is there any relation between promotion, price, and service to purchase decision of Toyota Dyna. It is continued by analysis of relationship between these three independent variables to purchase decision with business type as moderating variable. This is a quantitative research with 78 respondents as samples of Toyota Dyna users in Central Java and DIY. Questionnaires, interviews, and website are used in collecting data. Determination coefficient and Moderated Regression Analysis are used to analyze data. Result of this research is there are significant relations between promotion, price, and service to purchase decision of Toyota Dyna. Business type variable is not a moderating variable in these relationships. Advice for the company to increase sales in Toyota Dyna is develop better strategies in promotion, price, and service.
