Abstract

This study aims to examine the variables that may influence the financial performance of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2019 to 2023. The independent variables used in this research include the proportion of independent commissioners, institutional ownership, audit quality, and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Earnings management is employed as a mediating variable to determine whether it can mediate the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable, financial performance. This research applies a purposive sampling method, with a total sample of 15 manufacturing companies. The data analysis technique employed is panel data regression, which was processed using STATA 17 software. The results indicate that the proportion of independent commissioners, institutional ownership, audit quality, and CSR do not have a significant effect on financial performance. Furthermore, earnings management is also unable to mediate the relationship between those independent variables and financial performance. These findings provide implications for management and investors in understanding the factors that influence a company’s financial performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the dark tourism destination "museum sisa hartaku" on the community around the tourist destination using the Rural Empowerment of Tourism Scale (RETS) approach. The measurement with RETS examines aspects of psychological, social, and political empowerment. Dark tourism destinations are a form of niche tourism that seeks to highlight the dark side of an area and turn it into a tourist attraction. The presence of dark tourism destinations in communities affected by disasters is expected to have an empowering effect. The research method uses a mixed method in an effort to obtain data and conduct analysis using SPSS and SEM-AMOS. The results show that the community agrees that they have been empowered psychologically and socially, but doubts whether they have been empowered politically. The implications of the study indicate that RETS can be used to measure community empowerment around dark tourism, and also how residents around the tourist destination "museum sisa hartaku" need to be more politically empowered.

Abstract

Banks, as intermediaries in their operational activities, have to gain the trust of the public. One way to gain this trust is through measuring the bank’s financial performance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the simultaneous and partial effects of Asset Ratio (LAR), Non-Performing Loan (NPL), Interest Rate Ratio (IRR), Cost Income Ratio (CIR), and based Income Ratio (FBIR) on Return on Asset (ROA). This study used judgment sampling with four samples from the Non-Foreign Exchange National Public Private (BUSN) population. The period of study is from 2015 to the second quarter, 2022. The result of this study revealed that LAR, NPL, IRR, CIR and BIR are simultaneously significant on ROA. LAR is partially positive and significant on ROA. IRR and CIR are partially negative and significant on ROA. NPL and FBIR are partially not significant on ROA because the percentage of interest-income earned is smaller due to a large number of non-performing loans. CIR is the most influential variable in the decrease of ROA. The implication of this study on the banking industry is that banks have to pay attention to the level of liquidity of their total assets. Efficiency of operating costs and paying attention to market interest rates on lending and funding to maximize profit and income and increase ROA.

Abstract

Sustainability on business is one thing that we can do to save the earth. Otherwise there is still so many company that doesnt do the sustainability on their business. This study aims to determine the effect of environmental concern and perceived environmental knowledge on green purchasing intentions through environmental attitude as a mediating variable. This study used a purposive sampling method, using 100 respondents. Using a path analysis model with AMOS software. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between perceived environmental knowledge and environmental attitude towards green purchasing intentions, but this study did not find any influence from environmental concerns on green purchasing intentions because consumption patterns of green products have not yet been formed. This research is useful for researchers and beauty brands in Indonesia, especially Refill Station The Body Shop, to pay attention and care about the importance of perceived environmental knowledge and environmental attitude for consumers.

Abstract

Management of human resources in the present era is undoubtedly a concern for organizations to be able to maintain their sustainability. The current dominance of millennial generation workers (Generation Y and Z) must be managed properly by the organization so that it can achieve its goals to the fullest. This research then tries to explore the relationship between talent management and job satisfaction on employee retention among Y and Z generation employees in Denpasar City. Furthermore, exploration is carried out by looking at the mediating effect of job satisfaction on the relationship between talent management and employee retention. Sample data from 100 Y and Z generation workers in Denpasar City were then processed using SEM-PLS. The results then show that there is a significant positive correlation between job satisfaction and talent management on Y and Z generation employee retention in Denpasar City. The mediating role is also shown by the job satisfaction variable in the relationship between talent management and employee retention. This shows the importance of an effective talent management strategy for organizations in fulfilling employee job satisfaction so that it can assist in employee retention efforts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of leadership empowerment and work engagement moderated by kaizen culture on employee performance within the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Finance of Indonesia. This research is a quantitative study with an explanatory survey approach. Respondents in this study amounted to 180 people from a total population of 221 people determined using the Isaac and Michael method and cluster random sampling technique because respondents were spread across several fields. The data management technique in this study uses path analysis. Work engagement moderated by kaizen culture has a significant positive impact both partially and simultaneously on the performance of employees of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Finance. In addition, leadership empowerment moderated by kaizen culture has no significant impact on employee performance. The relationship between leadership empowerment and work engagement with employee performance among Ministry of Finance employees is direct and positive, meaning that an increase in leadership empowerment and work engagement will improve employee performance. In addition, an increase in work engagement moderated by kaizen culture will improve the performance of Ministry of Finance employees

Abstract

This research examines and analyzes the influence of lifestyle, advertising, and ease of access on consumptive behaviour, as well as the influence of consumptive behaviour on interest in online loans and the influence of lifestyle on interest in online loans, which is moderated by consumptive behaviour. The quantitative method used in this research was with a population and research sample of 169 students with sampling using the Slovin formula. The statistical analysis used in this research is the Structural Equation Model (SEM) approach with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of this research show that lifestyle influences consumer behaviour. Apart from that, advertising and ease of access also have a positive and significant effect on consumer behaviour. Meanwhile, consumer behaviour also has a positive and significant effect on interest in online loans. Meanwhile, consumer behaviour also moderates the relationship between lifestyle and online loans. Based on the research results, the theoretical implication of this research is that lifestyle, ease of access, and advertising can influence a person's consumptive lifestyle, which can direct someone to online loans, so students must pay attention to spending for future needs, so that the dangerous impacts caused by loans online may be reduced during the study period. Meanwhile, this research it can be used as input for students regarding their responsibilities in managing finances and creating awareness to reduce consumer lifestyles, which can lead them to online loans which have several negative impacts.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of sales promotions on hedonic shopping motivation and impulse buying. To determine the influence of marketplace displays on hedonic shopping motivation and impulse buying. To determine the influence of hedonic shopping motivation on impulse buying. The type of research used is explanatory research. This research focuses on the group of millennial women who actively shop online in the marketplace. Data collection was carried out from July to September 2023. The number of samples was 200 respondents. Data analysis uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with smartPLS 3.0. The results of the analysis show that sales promotions have an effect on impulse buying, but do not have a significant effect on hedonic shopping motivation. Marketplace displays influence hedonic shopping motivation, but do not significantly influence impulse buying. Hedonic shopping motivation influences impulse buying. In addition, hedonic shopping motivation mediates the relationship between marketplace displays and impulse buying, but does not mediate the influence of sales promotions on impulse buying. These findings provide information for marketplace sellers in using various sales promotions to accelerate impulse buying decisions among millennial women, as well as making efforts to organize marketplace displays that can foster hedonic shopping motivation and trigger impulse buying among millennial women.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of individual characteristics on employee performance and the role of employee commitment as a mediator in the relationship between individual characteristics and employee performance. The research was conducted in the Badan Usaha Milik Daerah (BUMD) of Buleleng Regency, including the Regional Water Company and the Regional Market Company. A total of 80 employees participated in this study. A quantitative approach, through path analysis, was used in this research. The research results indicate a significant influence of individual characteristics on employee commitment: individual characteristics significantly affect employee performance, employee commitment significantly affects employee performance, and employee commitment can mediate the influence of individual characteristics on employee performance. Discussions regarding key points in employee commitment can be adopted as stimuli to improve individual characteristics and employee performance in both BUMDs in the Buleleng Regency.

Abstract

The creative economy sector contributes to the national gross domestic product. However, creative economy workers face precarious working conditions. So far, adequate research is needed on the success of creative sector gig workers who utilize online labour markets (OLMs) to interact with clients. This research aims to build a model that can describe the moderating role of individual intellectual capital on the relationship between job resources and digital creative gig workers' success. Survey data was collected from 197 gig creative digital workers. The statistical analysis was conducted with SmartPLS 4.0. The results of this study show that job demands have a negative and significant effect on the success of gig workers, job autonomy does not have a substantial impact on the success of gig workers, individual intellectual capital has a positive and significant effect on the success of gig workers, individual intellectual capital as a moderating variable influences the relationship between job demands and success of gig workers, individual intellectual capital as a moderating variable does not significantly influence the relationship between job autonomy and success of gig workers. This research creates the basis for future investigations that examine the direct and indirect associations between the job demand-resource model, individual intellectual capital, and gig worker success. By applying the job demand-resource model equipped with individual intellectual capital, the article suggests that gig workers, policymakers, policy executors, and educators must focus on investing in gig workers' intellectual capital to improve the gig worker's well-being.
