Abstract

Education is a crucial factor in a country's progress and a fundamental right of every citizen. It helps individuals develop intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence while shaping their personality and maturity. In accordance with Law No. 2 of 1989, education aims to enhance the quality of human resources through learning that encompasses cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Islam also emphasizes the importance of seeking knowledge, as stated in the Qur'an and Hadith. Education is not only intended to improve academic achievement but also to cultivate good morals. At Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah Batur Banjarnegara, the Merdeka Curriculum is implemented in two programs: a special program focusing on Quran memorization and a regular program emphasizing academics. The special program includes additional curriculum content, but the heavier workload may hinder students' focus. The effectiveness of this additional curriculum still needs evaluation to better meet students' needs. The Akidah Akhlak education at the madrasah aims to instill religious values and shape students' character. In terms of academic achievement, the learning approach in the special and regular programs impacts students' performance differently. Students in the special program tend to excel due to more intensive academic support, while students in the regular program often face challenges in achieving optimal academic performance. This study aims to analyze the academic achievement of eighth-grade students in Akidah Akhlak at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah Batur, Banjarnegara Regency, in the 2024/2025 academic year, both in the special and regular programs, and to compare the differences in academic achievement between the two programs. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a descriptive comparative research design. The population consists of 109 students, and the sample is selected using proportionate stratified random sampling, resulting in 46 students. Data collection methods include observation and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using statistical hypothesis testing with an independent sample t-test. Based on the analysis results, the following conclusions are drawn: 1) The academic achievement of eighth-grade students in the special program at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah Batur, Banjarnegara Regency, shows that 13% (3 students) fall into the good category, 74% (17 students) in the fair category, and 13% (3 students) in the poor category. Thus, most students in the special program fall into the fair category, with an average score of 61.34, rounded to 61. 2) The academic achievement of eighth-grade students in the regular program shows that 17.3% (4 students) are in the good category, 56.6% (13 students) in the fair category, and 26.1% (6 students) in the poor category. Thus, most students in the regular program fall into the fair category, with an average score of 57.8, rounded to 58. 3) There is no significant difference in academic achievement between eighth-grade students in the special and regular programs at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah Batur, Banjarnegara Regency, in the 2024/2025 academic year. This conclusion is based on hypothesis testing, which, at a 5% significance level, accepts H0 and rejects Ha. This is evidenced by the independent t-test, where the calculated t-value is 1.480 and the critical t-value is 2.014 (1.480 < 2.014).

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the implementation of the Students Experiment learning method in Science subjects, specifically on the topic of living beings and their environment in the fourth grade of MI Muhammadiyah Sidokerto; (2) assess whether the use of the Students Experiment method can improve students' learning outcomes in the fourth grade of MI Muhammadiyah Sidokerto. The research design used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which aims to solve a particular problem and present the results in a comprehensive description. The subjects of this CAR study are fourth-grade students of MI Muhammadiyah Sidokerto. This study consists of two cycles, namely Cycle I and Cycle II, where each cycle comprises four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research findings are as follows: The implementation of the Students Experiment learning method in Science subjects on the topic of living beings and their environment in the fourth grade of MI Muhammadiyah Sidokerto, involving 30 students, was carried out by the teacher explaining the steps students needed to follow. Then, students were asked to observe the growth process of plants and later present their observations in front of the class. The implementation of the Students Experiment learning method in Science subjects on the topic of living beings and their environment for fourth-grade students of MI Muhammadiyah Sidokerto was proven to improve learning outcomes. This improvement was evidenced by the increase in learning outcomes from Cycle I to Cycle II compared to the pre-cycle phase. In the pre-cycle phase, the average learning outcome score was only 64.00. In Cycle I, the average learning outcome increased to 71.10, and in Cycle II, it further improved to 77.16. The number of students who met the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKTP) (>70) in the pre-cycle phase was only 10 students or 33%. In Cycle I, this number increased to 18 students or 60%, and in Cycle II, it further rose to 27 students or 83%. The improvement in learning outcomes from the pre-cycle phase to Cycle II indicates that students have successfully reached the KKTP (>70) and achieved the performance indicator (>75%) targeted by the researcher.

Abstract

Planning is an effort to achieve goals optimally. In addition to achieving goals, planning is carried out so that everything that is done is more organized and more useful. Human resources (HR) are the most important part and are even very closely related to companies, organizations, or ministries because it is human resources who carry out the planning stages. Educators and education personnel are human resources in the realm of education. In addition to achieving goals, good planning is also carried out so that educational institutions can survive and grow in the midst of competition and progress of the times, especially in the rapid development of technology. The problem that often occurs in planning educational institutions, especially Islamic educational institutions of Islamic boarding schools, is the immaturity of the planning carried out. The purpose of this study is to find out how and who is responsible for the parts in the planning of educators and education at MA Raadhiyatan Mardhiyyah Putri Balikpapan. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a descriptive type. Data were collected through online unstructured interviews and analysis of official documents from the study site, as well as literature supported by relevant reference sources. Data analysis through narrative analysis and content analysis. The respondents in this study were the head of the Women's Cadre Education Department (DP3) and the principal of MA Raadhiyatan Mardhiyyah Putri Balikpapan. The planning at MA Raadhiyatan Mardhiyyah Putri Balikpapan is quite good because it has been carried out according to procedures, ranging from needs analysis to termination of employment. It seems to narrow the opportunities for people from outside the institution to work inside, but the reason is acceptable because it concerns educators who will become uswatun hasanah for students. Each educational institution has different goals, of course, the criteria for educators as a control must be in accordance with these goals.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal’s leadership strategy in developing religiosity values at Madrasahh Aliyah Salumakarra, Bua Ponrang District, Luwu Regency. The primary focus of this research is to identify the strategies employed by the madrasah principal in enhancing teachers’ religiosity, understand the process of internalizing religious values in teaching, and explore the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing these strategies. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. Data sources consist of primary and secondary data collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Pedagogical, psychological, and sociological approaches are applied to analyze the relationship between the madrasah principal’s leadership and the development of religiosity values in the educational environment. The findings indicate that the madrasah principal employs various strategies to enhance teachers’ religiosity. These strategies include (1) role modeling, where the principal sets an example in worship and Islamic behavior, (2) habit formation, which establishes a religious culture through routine activities such as dhuha prayer, dhikr, collective supplications, and Quran recitation before lessons, (3) partnerships, involving collaboration with parents, religious figures, and the community to foster a religious environment, (4) internalization of Islamic values, where moral and ethical teachings are integrated into the curriculum, and (5) guidance and mentoring, which includes motivation and spiritual reinforcement for teachers and students to strengthen their faith and devotion. Teachers’ religiosity at the madrasah is reflected in various aspects of their daily lives, including adherence to religious practices, mutual support, and the application of Islamic values in social interactions. Moreover, teachers are expected to emulate the qualities of the Prophet Muhammad (Shiddiq – truthfulness, Tabligh – conveying the truth, Amanah – trustworthiness, and Fathonah – wisdom). Supporting factors in strengthening religious values include institutional support from the madrasah, active student participation, and a conducive social environment for religious practice. However, several inhibiting factors persist, such as a lack of religious awareness among some teachers and inadequate facilities, including limited prayer spaces and insufficient Islamic learning media. The study concludes that the principal’s leadership plays a crucial role in fostering a religious culture in the madrasah. Effective leadership strategies can reinforce religious values in education for both teachers and students. Therefore, the key recommendations from this research include increasing teachers’ awareness of religiosity, strengthening religious development programs, and providing better facilities to support the optimal implementation of Islamic values in the madrasah.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) explore the application of Prezi as an interactive medium in Arabic language learning, (2) identify the steps involved in developing Prezi-based instructional media, and (3) analyze the advantages and disadvantages of using this media. The research method employed is library research, which involves collecting information and data through various literary sources such as books, journals, notes, magazines, other references, as well as previous relevant research findings. The results of the study indicate that Prezi is a highly effective tool in the Arabic learning process. It presents learning materials in a visually appealing and interactive manner through dynamic and well-structured presentations. One of its major strengths is its ability to deliver information in a non-linear format while actively engaging students in the learning process. However, several limitations were identified, including dependency on internet connectivity, a learning curve for first-time users, and the potential for distraction due to excessive animation if not used appropriately. Therefore, these limitations can be addressed by integrating Prezi with other supporting media to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of the learning process. Therefore, the use of Prezi as an interactive learning medium remains a promising alternative for enhancing the quality of Arabic language education.
