Abstract

Several phenomena that need to be addressed in economic learning, such as the tendency of differences in learning motivation in each student accompanied by problem-solving skills that still need to be accustomed to, show that the achievement of HOTS for them is still far from expectations. Responding to these conditions, an in-depth study is needed to implement an innovative learning model by paying attention to the differences in learning motivation in each student. This study was undertaken in experimental research by conducting trials of different innovative learning models, with the hope of accommodating differences in learning motivation that arise during learning. In the interest of this research, the Project Based Learning model and the Guided Inquiry learning model  were determined. Both learning models are innovative learning models of the 21st century that are often recommended in learning in various curricula that apply today. This innovative learning model also has the potential to trigger the achievement of HOTS for students. This study uses a quantitative method with a type of pseudo-experiment (pseudo-experiment) which involves 3 variables, namely independent variables, attribute variables and non-free variables (bound). In this design, each variable has two levels, namely the learning model (A) as a treatment-free variable, which consists of the Project Based Learning (A1) model and the Guided Inquiry (A2) learning model. Furthermore, learning motivation (B) as an attribute variable consisting of high learning motivation (B1) and low learning motivation (B2). While the bound variable is  students' critical thinking in economics subjects. This critical thinking will be analyzed based on student learning motivation data after being sorted from the highest to the lowest data in each treatment group using the applicable rules. The design of this study used a treatment analysis by level 2x2. The results of a research study based on several tests conducted showed that there was a significant interaction between innovative learning models and the level of learning motivation on students' HOTS achievement. The effectiveness of learning models in increasing HOTS differs between students with high learning motivation and students with low learning motivation. For students with high learning motivation,  it is recommended to use the Project-Based Learning (PjBL)  learning model in economic learning. Meanwhile, in students with low learning motivation, the Guided Inquiry learning  model  tends to be more effective than the PjBL learning model.

Abstract

This study examines the interconnected effects of school improvement programs, parental perceptions, and parental interest in supporting educational development at MTs Sadamiyyah. Employing a quantitative design with a structured survey approach, data were gathered from 144 parents using a total sampling technique. Validated questionnaires captured responses, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and path analysis. The results demonstrate that school improvement programs have a significant positive influence on parental perceptions (B = 0.45, p < 0.001) and parental interest (B = 0.28, p < 0.001). Moreover, parental perceptions notably mediate the relationship between school programs and parental interest (B = 0.53, p < 0.001), suggesting an indirect effect that strengthens parental engagement. High mean scores were reported for key indicators such as facility quality, teacher competence, and the availability of extracurricular activities. These findings underline the importance of parental perception as a strategic component in maximizing the effectiveness of school improvement initiatives. The study advocates for enhanced communication and engagement strategies between schools and parents to cultivate sustainable support and elevate educational quality. Future studies are encouraged to examine sociocultural and policy-related variables that may shape parental involvement in the school community.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and develop a curriculum model based on the integration of digital media for early childhood education at Aisyiyah Kindergarten in Karangwaru Plupuh, Sragen. In the context of rapid technological advancement, this research is guided by the primary question: To what extent does the current curriculum support the integration of digital media in early childhood learning, and how can the curriculum be further developed to be more adaptive to technological demands? This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing in-depth interviews with two key informants: the head of the kindergarten and an experienced early childhood education teacher, both of whom have more than 19 years of service. The findings indicate a level of awareness and partial implementation of digital media—such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones—in learning activities. Although both informants have attended training on the use of digital media and occasionally incorporate such tools into their teaching, several challenges persist. These challenges include uneven technical readiness, a lack of collaborative planning among teachers, and the absence of a curriculum that structurally supports digital-based learning. Interestingly, both educators noted that digital media often aids in enhancing children's understanding of the subject matter, and parental support for its usage is relatively positive. However, the existing curriculum is deemed insufficiently responsive to the integration of technology. This study underscores the importance of developing a curriculum that not only acknowledges the presence of digital technologies but also provides tangible support to teachers through clear guidelines, training, and institutional collaboration. The proposed curriculum model has the potential to serve as a foundation for creating a more adaptive and future-oriented early childhood education system.

Abstract

The urban landscape plays an important role in the dynamics of Islamic education in the archipelago. As the center of social, economic, and cultural interaction, the urban landscape supports the development of Islamic education institutions, both formal and non-formal. Modernization and urbanization have brought significant changes in the Islamic education system, creating opportunities in expanding access and learning innovation, but also presenting challenges in the form of commercialization of education, degradation of traditional values, and inequality of access. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the relationship between urban landscape and Islamic education from historical and theoretical perspectives, examine the impact of modernization on infrastructure, curriculum, and patterns of social interaction, and formulate strategies for optimizing the urban landscape as a sustainable Islamic education ecosystem. This research uses a qualitative approach with historical, phenomenological, and descriptive-analytical methods. Data were obtained through literature studies, field observations, interviews with academics and Islamic education practitioners, and analysis of relevant policy documents.. The results of the study show that (1) the urban landscape contributes to strengthening Islamic education by accelerating the spread of religious knowledge, expanding the network of ulama, and encouraging innovation in learning methods. (2) urbanization also poses challenges, such as the commercialization of education, shifting cultural values, and inequality of access to Islamic education in urban environments. (3) To overcome these challenges, an adaptive strategy is needed that includes the use of digital technology in learning, strengthening the role of mosques as community-based education centers, and developing Islamic education areas that are integrated with urban spatial planning, Strengthening the Role of Media in Islamic Da'wah and Education With the right strategy, the urban landscape can be optimized as an inclusive Islamic education ecosystem, adaptive to the development of the times, and still maintaining the values of Nusantara Islam.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Vocational High Schools (SMK) faces challenges in shaping students' character to excel not only in vocational competencies but also in moral and spiritual integrity. The deep learning strategy is considered effective in addressing these challenges as it emphasizes deep conceptual understanding, emotional engagement, and reflective capacity toward Islamic values. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the deep learning strategy in PAI learning and its role in internalizing Islamic values in the daily lives of SMK students. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, conducted at SMK Hisba Buana Semarang, focusing on 11th-grade PAI classes with the topic "Work Ethic in Islam." Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results indicate that this strategy is implemented through contextual approaches, in-depth discussions, habituation of Islamic values, and personal reflection. This strategy facilitates meaningful internalization of values, particularly related to work ethics, responsibility, and integrity. Its advantages include active student participation, reflective value awareness, and real-life relevance. The challenges encountered involve extended time requirements, high pedagogical demands, and varying levels of students’ reflective abilities. Proposed solutions include flexible planning, teacher training, and small group mentoring. Thus, this strategy holds great potential as an innovative approach to PAI learning in vocational schools

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the strategic role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in enhancing student learning motivation in the subject of Fiqh at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Sukoharjo for the academic year 2023–2024. The primary focus of this study is to identify the factors influencing student learning motivation and the strategies employed by PAI teachers to enhance it. The research poses several questions: (1) What factors affect student learning motivation in Fiqh instruction? (2) What role do PAI teachers play in enhancing student learning motivation? This study employs a qualitative approach utilizing a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and the head of the madrasah, as well as through observations of the learning process. The findings indicate that internal factors, such as the students' interest and religious needs, as well as external factors, including support from family and the madrasah environment, play significant roles in motivating students. Additionally, the strategies implemented by PAI teachers—such as personalized approaches, the use of engaging learning media, and the reinforcement of religious values—have proven effective in enhancing student learning motivation. These findings contribute significantly to the development of more motivating and relevant teaching methods for Fiqh that align with the needs of students in the madrasah.
