Abstract

AbstractIt is very often for some people to define theology as the core of Islamic teachings in the regard of its content as the science of God. It has Arabic similar terms such as Aqidah and Kalam for explaining the principles of God. It is not surprisingly that Moslem should deal with the issues of theology since the early history of Islam, but why do appear some conflicts in the matters of theology.Theological controversies are something inherent regarding theology is the result of man’s thinking which are bound by the limits of space and of time as the contexts. In other words, theology is the application of the principle of universalism of Islamic teachings in the certain contexts of space and time. Consequently theology is improperly to be claimed as having a universal application. That is why theology is different from iman (belief). It is believed by the Sufis who evaluate correctly that theology does not have an in-depth feeling of spirituality due to its main focus on the use of ratio for the elaboration. Meanwhile iman exists in all religions theology exists in the religions which deal with the matters of worldly affairs, especially in monotheist religions such as Yew, Christian, and Islam.Theology is in great need at the time of crisis such as at the time of the death of Muhammad PBUH the prophet. Indeed at that time theology has not developed well and be arranged systematically as today. We have some theological groups such as Shiite, Sunni, Khawarij. And in Indonesia we have Muhammadiyah, Nahdlatul Ulama, and PKS which all of them come from the Sunni sect. It is possible to notice them from their different socio-cultural background. In other words, socio-cultural background influence the form of theology.Keywords: theology, belief, Sunni, Shiite, Muhammadiyah, NU, and PKS.

Abstract

Keinginan politik untuk melakukan perubahan atau amandemen UUD 1945 di era reformasi dilatarbelakangi oleh -pengalaman  sejarah masa lalu, baik masa Orde Lama (1959-1966) maupun pada masa Orde Baru (1966-1998). Bila kita kaji secara detail dan mendalam, dapat dikatakan bahwa UUD 1945 memang dibuat dalam keadaan tergesa-gesa, sehingga mengandung segi-segi kelemahan, yang memungkinkan munculnya pemerintahan yang diktator. Konstitusi ketatanegaraan Indonesia sebelum amandemen memberikan titik berat kekuasaan kepada Presiden. Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat, meskipun disebut sebagai pelaksana kedaulatan rakyat dan penjelmaan seluruh rakyat, dalam kenyataannya susunan dan kedudukannya sepenuhnya di bawah kendali presiden.Keinginan untuk menata ulang kedudukan lembaga-lembaga negara agar tercipta check and balances juga terasa begitu kuatnya. Demikian pula keinginan untuk memperjuangkan tegaknya hukum dan pengakuan serta perlindungan terhadap hak asasi manusia. Keinginan untuk memberikan perhatian yang lebih besar kepada daerah-daerah juga demikian menguat, sehingga kewenangan-kewenangan Pemerintah Daerah juga perlu diperkuat untuk mencegah terjadinya disintegrasi Bangsa. Kata Kunci: Reformulasi, Tatanegara,  Indonesia.

Abstract

ClassX-1 at SMAMuhammadiyah 3 Jember less interested join in the lessons of history a look at teaching history took place. To overcome these problems is to use learning methodthat are tailored to the characteristics of students, where the characteristics of the class X-1 at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember less interested in participating in learning history, students are quickly saturated in receiving lessons, students have a weak memory, and students lazy in reading the lessons material. Learning methodin accordance with the conditions of class X-1, especially in the subjects of history is a type of cooperative learning method Talking Stick. The results obtained in this research can be seen from the percentage of learning activities and student learning results. Student learning activities in the pre cycle 61.11%, 70.83% first cycle reached, and the second cycle the percentage of student activity reached 85.76%. Mastery of student learning results in the cognitive aspects of pre cycle 68.75%, affective and psychomotor aspects are not obtained, completeness student learning results at the first cycle 75% cognitive, affective aspects of 78.12%, and psychomotor aspects 75%, while the mastery of learning results second cycle of 87.5% on the cognitive, affective aspects of 90.62%, 87.5% and psychomotor aspects. Based on the above indicates an increase in the percentage of mastery learning activities and learning results among students in the classical precycle, the first cycle and second cycle. Keywords: cooperative learning method, Talking Stick, learning activities,learning results

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to: (1) Outlining the history of the learning process in SMA Negeri 2 Wates, Kulon Progo, and (2) Describe efforts to inculcate nationalism in the teaching of history in SMA Negeri 2 Wates, Kulon Progo. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The data collection is done through in-depth interviews, direct observation and recording of documents. The results showed that the teaching of history in SMA Negeri 2 Wates do in the classroom during school hours and outside the classroom takes place through extra-curricular activities. Teachers deliver material as specified in the curriculum with the methods and media that support student success. Planting the values of nationalism done in several ways, namely to integrate in subjects such as history subjects, and the subjects Civics. In addition, the values of nationalism is also implanted through habituation attitude in the school environment, such as mutual cooperation, courtesy, tolerance, and so on. Keywords: Nationalism, Teaching History, SMA Negeri 2 Wates.

Abstract

ABSTRACK           This research tries to see how the development of Muslim scholarship and travel, especially in the field of philosophy. Describes how the philosophers studied then develop and spread the knowledge gained. The method used is the method of history that consists of four phases i.e. heuristics, critique, interpretation, and historiography. The results showed that there was already a Muslim scholarly tradition since the time of the prophetic. The entry of Muslim civilization to the philosophy starts when the emergence of scientific groups such as the Al Khawarijh, Muta'zillah, and Ahl Sunnah Wal Jammaah. The tradition of science especially philosophy started by a civilization of Islam since the fall of Byzantium and rebuilding of Bait Al Hikmah as a place to translate books from Greece. Then the Muslim tradition of scientific philosophy continued by Muslim figures and also philosophers such as Ibn Sina, Ibn Rushd, Al Farabi. It is these philosophers who developed a philosophy of science especially become  the reference of Western philosophers in afterwards.Keyword. Philosophy, Philosophers, Muslim

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berangkat dari sebuah pertanyaan bagaimana sejarah kesenian Janger yang sangat populer di Banyuwangi berkembang dengan pesat dan masih menjadi minat masyarakat dari tahun 1930’an sampai sekarang. Janger yang merupakan akulturasi dari Jawa, Bali dan Banyuwangi terus dilestarikan oleh para seniman pendukungnya. Janger identik dengan lakon Damarwulan-Minakjinggo pun menjadi perdebatan antara sejarah dan fiksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah yang terdiri dari heuristik, kritik, interpretasi dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa akulturasi dari seni Janger inilah yang menyebabkan kelestarian Janger Banyuwangi. Selain itu banyak dari seniman Banyuwangi yang menggantungkan hidupnya dari kesenian ini. Kata Kunci: Janger, Banyuwangi, Damarwulan-Minakjinggo, Akulturasi. ABSTRACTThis research come from the question history of Janger which too popular in Banyuwangi and still exist since 1930st until now. Janger is tradisional drama which acculturation from Java, Bali and Bali. Janger identic with story about Damarwulan-Minakjinggo. This story stil argued fiction or non fiction. Thi research using historical method such as heuristic, critic, interpretation and historiography. Result from this research know that acculturation between Java, Bali and Banyuwangi which make them sustainable until now. Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengelaborasi pemikiran KH. Dewantara dalam bidang pendidikan. Hal ini penting mengingat beliau merupakan salah satu pahlawan nasional yang mencurahkan perhatiannya dalam pengembangan pendidikan. Beliau juga mendirikan sekolah Tamansiswa dan pernah menjabat sebagai menteri pendidikan nasional. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pemikiran Ki Hadjar Dewantara tentang pendidikan yang diwujudkan melalui lembaga pendidikan Taman Siswa memberikan harapan baru untuk kemajuan bangsa Indonesia. Taman berarti tempat bermain atau tempat belajar, dan Siswa berarti murid. Sebagai sebuah sekolah yang berbasis budaya lokal masyarakat Jawa, Taman Siswa mampu bertahan di tiga jaman, yaitu jaman kolonial Belanda, kolonial Jepang dan masa kemerdekaan sampai dengan sekarang. Beberapa pemikiran Ki Hadjar dalam Taman Siswa sangat relevan untuk menyikapi perkembangan terkini pendidikan di Indonesia, dan sejalan dengan prinsip pendidikan yang humanis-religius. Kata kunci: KH Dewantoro, pendidikan, Taman Siswa.

Abstract

Abstract This research was to elaborate the big battles between Greece and Persian in the past called by historian as Persian War. The civilization was one of the most influential factors as source of conflict in the past. The art, philosophy, and technologies by which Greece people were highly endeavors for humankind for several centuries. On the contrary, Persians civilization will be masterpiece for Eastern world. Darius, king of Persians, was the ambitious man, wishes to conquer West Asian and Greece to aggrandize her emporium and brought the Persian into the biggest in the world. This research use of historical method involving four steps: heuristic, critic, interpretation and historiography. The researcher use Herodotus book (Histories) to describe the Persian War and comparing with another source such as: paper from Kevin Wheeler. Afterward I analyze with the clash of civilization by which introduce by Huntington. Samuel P Huntington made a hypothesis that the fundamental source of conflict in this new world will not be primarily ideological or primarily economic. The great divisions among humankind and the dominating source of conflict will be cultural. The Persian War was took place in 490-480 BC represent of this hypothesis. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) Mengetahui peranan Nederlandsch Indish Spoorweg Matschappij (NISM) dalam perkembangan transportasi di Karesidenan Surakarta, dan (2) Mengetahui dampak positif adanya NISM bagi masyarakat Karesidenan Surakarta. Metode yang digunakan peneliti dalam penulisan sejarah ini adalah metode penelitian menurut Kuntowijoyo. Adapun tahapan penelitian sejarah menurut Kuntowijoyo mempunyai lima tahap yaitu pemilihan topik, heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi, dan penulisan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa NISM memiliki peran yang besar dalam memajukan transportasi di Karesidenan Surakarta. Dengan adanya kereta api, mobilitas masyarakat semakin tinggi mencakup masyarakat yang tinggal di pedesaan. Adapun dampak positif adanya NISM yaitu:  memudahkan perdagangan yang nantinya akan menciptakan golongan menengah, memudahkan transportasi masyarakat, mempercepat pembangunan, meningkatkan interaksi masyarakat satu dengan yang lain. Kata kunci: NISM, kereta api, Surakarta

Abstract

This study aims to determine : (1) Knowing the policy of principals at Taruna Nusantara High School and Senior High School 4 Magelang to subjects of History, (2) Knowing the curriculum policy regarding the portion of the placement of the subjects of History, (3) how teachers deliver material and learning models History in high school of Taruna Nusantara High School and Senior High School 4 Magelang, and (4) how student opinion in History teachers the material. The results of the study at both schools led to the fact that Taruna Nusantara High School is promoting subjects as the history of important subjects, subjects using history as a spearhead in the successful implementation of special curriculum-based defend the country. Especially in the formation of character and cultivation of the spirit of nationalism, the students really enjoyed how the delivery of interesting material presented by the teacher of history at this school, teachers use a good individual approach so as to maximize the potential of students. In Senior High School 4 Magelang put the subjects of history into something very interesting because of factors that creative and innovative teachers of these subjects were used as a means of knowledge transfer that is very positive. Keywords: Comparative Studies, History Learning Model
