Abstract

Pengembangan Paket Pembelajaran Dasar-dasar PeternakanAbstract: The purpose this research is to generate a package of learning development basics animal husbandry in accordance with the characteristics of the students and the subject and test the fea-sibility of the resulting learning package. The development of learning packages using the model of Dick, Carey & Carey (2001). The results of product assessment the package of learning the basics of animal husbandry is included in the qualification is very feasible and valid, so it can be used as teaching materials in the SPP-SPMA West Kalimantan. This development of products produced by some distinguishing characteristic of other products, including the development of learning packages using the model of Dick, Carey & Carey, typographical arrangement is designed attractively, the material with photos, arranged in an organized, presented more dynamic because many activities involving students, and can facilitate students to learn independently, so the expected results of this research can overcome the problems that exist in the SPP-SPMA West Kalimantan.Key Words: learning package, development, models of Dick, Carey & Carey Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian pengembangan ini adalah untuk menghasilkan paket pembelajaran dasar-dasar peternakan yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa dan mata pelajaran tersebut dan menguji tingkat kelayakan paket pembelajaran yang dihasilkan. Pengembangan paket pembelajaran  mengguna-kan model Dick, Carey & Carey (2001). Hasil penilaian produk paket pembelajaran dasar-dasar peter-nakan ini termasuk dalam kualifikasi sangat layak dan valid, sehingga dapat dipakai sebagai bahan ajar di lingkungan SPP-SPMA Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Produk pengembangan yang dihasilkan mempunyai ciri khas yang membedakan dengan produk lain, diantaranya menggunakan model pe-ngembangan paket pembelajaran Dick, Carey & Carey, perwajahan dirancang secara menarik, materi dilengkapi foto, disusun secara terorganisasi, disajikan lebih dinamis karena banyak melibatkan aktivitas siswa, dan dapat memfasilitasi siswa untuk dapat belajar secara mandiri, sehingga diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat mengatasi masalah yang ada di SPP-SPMA Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Abstract

Abstract: PISA’s findings reported that Indonesian elementary school students (IESS) achieved their average reading comprehension ability which were below the standard set by OECD. This research proposed school literacy movement (SLM) as an apparatus to cultivate IESS reading and writing skill habit. SLM served as the basis for achieving the 2013 Curriculum requirement. This study applied quasi-experimental method with employed sample of 126 IESS of 5th and 4th graders and their teachers serving in four schools. This study showed that there was significant effect of ITL to improve IESS reading comprehension ability of 5th graders.Key Words: Indonesian Elementary School Student (IESS), Integrated thematic Learning (ITL), Reading comprehension, School literacy Movement (SLM) Abstrak:Temuan PISA terkait skor rata-rata kemampuan membaca yang diperoleh siswa sekolah dasar Indonesia masih di bawah rata-rata negara OECD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pembelajaran tematik terpadu untuk meningkatkan  kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas 5 sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini  mengusung GLS sebagai sarana untuk menumbuhkembangkan pembiasaan baca-tulis siswa sekolah dasar sebagai dasar untuk mencapai tagihan Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan  metode eksperimen kuasi dengan sampel 126 siswa kelas 5 dan 4 guru di 4 sekolah dasar.Penelitian menunjukan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan pembelajaran tematik terpadu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas 5 sekolah dasar.Kata kunci: Indonesian Elementary School Student (IESS), Integrated thematic Learning (ITL), Reading comprehension, School literacy Movement (SLM)

Abstract

Pengaruh Latar Belakang Sosial Ekonomi Orang Tua, Pendidikan Ekonomi di Keluarga dan Economic Literacy terhadap Perilaku Konsumsi MahasiswaAbstract: This study examine the direct and indirect effect of parents' socio-economic background in family's economic education and economics literacy on students' consumption behavior in the faculty of Economics. Data collection has been done by using questionnaires and tests. The data analysis has been done by using path analysis. The study conclude: (1) there is direct influence of parents' socio-economic background to the students' consumption behavior. (2) there is direct effect of family's economic education to the students' consumption behavior. (3) there is positive and sig-nificant effect of parents' socioeconomic background to the students' economic literacy. (4) there is positive and significant effect of family's economic education to the students' economic literacy. (5) there is a significant and positive influence of economic literacy to students' consumption behaviour. (6) there is indirect effect of parents' socio-economic background  to the consumption behavior through students' economic literacy. (7) there is indirect effect of family's economic education to the consumption behavior through students' economic literacy.Key Words: parents' socio-economic, family's economic education, economic literacy, consumption behaviorAbstrak: Penelitian ini menguji  pengaruh latar belakang sosial ekonomi orang tua pendidikan ekonomi di keluarga serta economic literacy terhadap perilaku konsumsi mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi, baik langsung maupun tidak langsung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik angket dan tes. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan: (1) adanya pengaruh langsung latar belakang sosial ekonomi orang tua terhadap perilaku konsumsi mahasiswa, (2) adanya pengaruh langsung pendidikan ekonomi di keluarga terhadap perilaku konsumsi mahasiswa, (3) ada-nya pengaruh secara positif dan signifikan latar belakang sosial ekonomi orang tua terhadap economic literacy mahasiswa, (4) adanya pengaruh secara positif dan signifikan pendidikan ekonomi di keluarga terhadap economic literacy mahasiswa, (5) adanya pengaruh secara positif dan signifikan economic literacy terhadap perilaku konsumsi mahasiswa, (6) adanya pengaruh secara tidak langsung latar belakang sosial ekonomi orang tua terhadap perilaku konsumsi melalui economic literacy mahasiswa, dan (7) adanya pengaruh secara tidak langsung pendidikan ekonomi di keluarga terhadap perilaku konsumsi melalui economic literacy mahasiswa. Abstract

Abstract: The learning pantun method in schools provided less opportunity to develop the students’ creativity in producing pantun. This situation was supported by the result of the observation conducted on eleventh graders at SMAN 2 Bondowoso. It showed that the students tend to plagiarize their pantun. The general objective of this research and development is to develop Threshold Pantun model for learning to produce pantun for elevent graders. The product was presented in guidance book for teachers entitled “Pembelajaran Memproduksi Pantun Menggunakan Model Threshold Pantun untuk Kelas XI”. This study adapted design method of Borg-Gall’s R&D procedure. The result of this study showed that Threshold Pantun model was appropriate to be implemented for learning to produce pantun.Key Words: Threshold Pantun model, produce pantunAbstrak: Pembelajaran pantun di sekolah selama ini kurang mengembangkan kreativitas siswa dalam memproduksi pantun. Hal tersebut dikuatkan oleh hasil observasi siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Bondowoso yang menunjukkan adanya kecenderungan produk siswa bersifat plagiat. Tujuan penelitian dan pengembangan ini secara umum adalah mengembangkan model Threshold Pantun untuk pembelajaran memproduksi pantun kelas XI..Produk disajikan dalam bentuk buku panduan bagi guru dengan judul “Pembelajaran Memproduksi Pantun Menggunakan Model Threshold Pantun untuk Kelas XI”. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian yang diadaptasi dari prosedur penelitian dan pengembangan Borg dan Gall. Abstract

Perbedaan Hasil Belajar IPS Model Project-Based Learning Berbasis Outdoor Study dengan Konvensional Siswa SMPAbstract: The aim of this research is to know the difference of students learning outcomes before and after the implementation of project based learning (PBL) models based on the outdoor study also to know the difference of students learning outcomes between PBL models based on the out-door study and conventional model in the seventh graders. This research practices experimental qu-asi research guidelines by using pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design technique. Subjects of this research are VII A class and VII B of SMP Negeri 2 Ponorogo. The research instruments used are syllabus, learning plan procedure, and the outcomes of learning test. The research shows that PBL models based on the outdoor  study runs well as well as the syntaxes, in which students’ responds are good. There are differences of social science learning outcomes before and after PBL models based on the outdoor study. There are differences between social studies learning outcomes using PBL models based on the outdoor study and conventional model. PBL models based on the outdoor study succeeds well when learning objectives are oriented on affective (attitudes) and psy-comotor (skills). On the other hand, conventional model is better for learning objectives wich are ori-ented on cognitive aspects (knowledge).Key Words: social studies learning outcomes, project based learning models based on the outdoor  study, conventional modelAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan se-sudah penerapan model Project-Based Learning (PBL) berbasis Outdoor Study serta mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa antara kelas model PBL berbasis Outdoor Study dengan konvensional pada siswa kelas VII. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan teknik pretes-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah kelas VII A dan VII B SMP Negeri 2 Ponorogo. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa silabus, RPP, dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran model PBL berbasis Outdoor Study dapat berjalan dengan sangat baik sesuai dengan sintak-sintaknya dan respon siswa menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik juga. Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPS sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran model PBL berbasis Outdoor Study. Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPS model PBL berbasis Outdoor Study dengan model konvensional. Model PBL berbasis Outdoor Study berhasil dengan baik ketika tujuan pembelajaran berorientasi pada ranah afektif (sikap) dan psikomotor (kete-rampilan). Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to know the relation of emotional intelligence (X1) and psychological well-being (Y), the relation of self-esteem (X2) and psychological well-being (Y), as well as the relation of self-efficacy (X3) and psychological well-being (Y) of public senior high school in the entire Malang city. This study was a non-experimental study with causal relationship study plan. The result of this research showed that there was a positive significant correlation between X1 and Y, X2 and Y, X3 and Y; X1, X2, X3 had strong linear relation with Y; the influence of the three independent variables was 50.7%, while the rest was influenced by other variables; X2 was the most influencing variable towards Y, the second was X1, and the last was X3.Key Words: Emotional Intelligence, Self-esteem, Self-efficacy, Psychological Well Being, Senior High School Students Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kecerdasan emosi (X1) dan psychological well being (Y) , self esteem (X2) dan psychological well being (Y), self efficacy (X3) dan psychological well being (Y) siswa SMA Negeri se-kota Malang. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah non experimental research dengan jenis penelitian causal relationship study. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan positif signifikan antara X1 dan Y, X2 dan Y, X3 dan Y; X1, X2, X3 memiliki hubungan linear yang kuat dengan Y; pengaruh ketiga variabel independen sebesar 50,7%, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain; X2 vaktor yang berpengaruh terhadap Y, urutan kedua X1, dan urutan terakhir adalah X3.Kata kunci: Kecerdasan Emosi, Self esteem, Self Efficacy, Psychological Well Being, Siswa SMA

Budaya Organisasi Sekolah dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja GuruAbstract: The purpose of this research to know the process of the formation of organizational culture in improving teacher performance. This study used qualitative methods with multicase study design. Location of the study in two private schools in Southwest Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara, data collection is done by interview, observation and documentation. Analysis of the data using an interactive model Milles and Huberman, and crosscase inductive analysis Conceptually The results are influenced school organizational culture core values embraced, lived, and implanted the founders, replacement, and leader; organizational culture affects the teacher’s performance; and efforts to perpetuate the culture of the organization through the determination of the leaders by the foundation, the use of uniforms, discipline, and implement celebrations.Key Words: organizational culture, teacher performance Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui proses terbentuknya budaya organisasi dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan rancangan studi multi kasus. Lokasi penelitian di dua sekolah swasta di Kabupaten Sumba Barat Daya, Nusa Tenggara Timur, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, pengamatan dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Milles dan Huberman, dan analisis lintas kasus secara induktif konseptual. Hasil penelitian adalah budaya organisasi sekolah dipengaruhi nilai-nilai pokok yang dianut, dihidupi, dan ditanamkan para pendiri, pengganti, dan pemimpin; budaya organisasi mempengaruhi kinerja guru; dan upaya melanggengkan budaya organisasi melalui penentuan pemimpin oleh yayasan, penggunaan seragam, penegakan disiplin, dan melaksanakan perayaan.  Kata kunci: budaya organisasi, kinerja guru

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research prove of difference between the limited critical thinking ability and the general critical thinking ability of learners using the methods of debate and discussion with learners who have different learning styles. Using a quasi-experimental design with testing and rating scales, the results showed: (1) there is no difference between the limited critical thinking ability of learners between students who use the method of debate and discussion. There is a difference between the general critical thinking ability of learners between students using the method of debate and those who are using discussion method (2) there is a difference in limited critical thinking ability and the general critical thinking ability between converging learning styles and divergent learning styles; (3) there is an interaction between instructional methods and learning styles on the limited critical thinking ability. The effect of learning methods to the general critical thinking ability is not influenced by the style of learning.Key Words: debate methods, discussion methods, learning styles, critical thinkingAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan perbedaan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis terbatas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis umum peserta didik menggunakan metode debat dan diskusi dengan gaya belajar yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimental dengan skala pengujian dan penilaian. Hasil menunjukkan: (1) tidak ada perbedaan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis terbatas peserta didik di antara siswa yang menggunakan metode debat dan diskusi. Ada perbedaan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis umum peserta didik di antara siswa yang menggunakan metode debat dan diskusi; (2) ada perbedaan dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis terbatas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis umum antara siswa dengan gaya belajar konvergen dan divergen; (3) ada interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan gaya belajar pada kemampuan berpikir kritis terbatas. Pengaruh metode pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis umum tidak dipengaruhi oleh gaya belajar.Kata kunci: metode debat, metode diskusi, gaya belajar, berpikir kritis

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed at investigating the effectiveness of Toulmin’s model of argumentation within TWPS strategy on undergraduate students’ critical thinking on argumentative essay. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest and nonrandomized control group design was used. The subjects were 38 fourth semester students in English Department of Universitas Negeri Malang.The experimental group was treated by using Toulmin’s model of argumentation within TWPS strategy while the control group was treated without TWPS strategy. Students’ critical thinking ability was measured by using argumentative essay test. ANCOVA was used to test the hypotheses. Findings showed there was not significant difference on the students’ critical thinking ability. However, Toulmin’s model of argumentation within TWPS strategy proved to improve the students’ critical thinking as shown by the improvement of the experimental group’s mean score.   Key Words: critical thinking, Toulmin’s model of argumentation, argumentative essay, Think-Write-Pair-Share strategyAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki efektivitas model argumentasi Toulmin dalam strategi TWPS pada kemampuan berpikir kritis esai argumentative mahasiswa. Desain kuasi-eksperi-mental digunakan dengan pretest-posttest dan nonrandomized control group. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah 38 mahasiswa semester IV di Jurusan Bahasa Inggris Universitas Negeri Malang. Kelompok eksperimen diteliti dengan menggunakan model argumentasi dalam strategi TWPS sedangkan kelom-pok kontrol diteliti tanpa strategi TWPS. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa diukur dengan menggunakan uji esai argumentatif. ANCOVA digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis. Temuan menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Namun, model argumentasi Toulmin dalam strategi TWPS terbukti meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa seperti yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai rata-rata. Abstract

Abstract: The plethora of experience in one culture is stored in concepts which are further manifested in the lexicon, grammar and metaphors of the language. Some concepts are congruent across languages, while some are not. Theoretically, some linguists maintain that translation is impossible on the ground of linguistic relativity hypothesis. However, in practice translation is always done again and again, and this proves that translation of expressions referring to these concepts is doable. Considering the discussion of the elements of conceptual systems presented here, the writer proposes three ways of translating expressions to convey concepts: (a) compensating the element of a concept with another element of the same concept, (b) separating concepts from words or expression, and (c) bringing the concept and expressions into the target language using loan word/expression with or without any notes, or bringing the concept into the target language using descriptions. To help select an appropriate way of translating in a particular case, translators should consider the translation purpose. As the discussion unfolds, examples are presented to illustrate the situation.Key Words: linguistic relativity, concept, conceptual system, grammaticization, lexicalization, metaphor, compensationAbstrak: Kebanyakan pengalaman dalam satu budaya tersimpan dalam konsep yang terwujud dalam leksikon, tata bahasa, dan metafora bahasa. Beberapa konsep kongruen di seluruh bahasa, sementara beberapa lainnya tidak. Secara teoritis, beberapa ahli bahasa berpendapat bahwa terjemahan itu tidak mungkin berdasarkan hipotesis relativitas linguistik. Namun, dalam praktiknya terjemahan selalu dilakukan berulang-ulang, dan ini membuktikan bahwa terjemahan ungkapan yang mengacu pada konsep ini dapat dilakukan. Mengingat pembahasan tentang unsur-unsur sistem konseptual yang dipaparkan di sini, diajukan tiga cara untuk menerjemahkan ekspresi untuk menyampaikan konsep: (a) mengkompensasi unsur konsep dengan elemen lain dari konsep yang sama, (b) memisahkan konsep dari kata atau ungkapan, dan (c) membawa konsep dan ungkapan ke dalam bahasa target menggunakan kata/ekspresi pinjaman dengan atau tanpa catatan, atau membawa konsep ke bahasa target menggunakan deskripsi. Untuk membantu memilih cara menerjemahkan yang tepat dalam kasus tertentu, penerjemah mempertimbangkan tujuan penerjemahan. Seiring diskusi dipaparkan, disajikan contoh untuk menggambarkan situasi.Kata kunci: relativitas linguistik, konsep, sistem konseptual, gramatisasi, leksikalisasi, metafor, kompensasi
