Abstract

The objective of the study was to know the academic and administrative personnel's perception on the decision making style of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) principals at Malang municipality. Employing the descriptive design, the study involved the academic and administrative personnels in MIN. Data were collected by questionnaire and statistically analized in descriptive measures. The main findings of the study were that the academic and administrator personnel's perception on the MIN principals decision making included all of the decision making styles; participated, concultative, instructive, and delegative style

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan modul Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup (PLH) guna meningkatkan kesiapan guru dalam mengintegrasikan PLH ke dalam mata pelajaran di SD dan SMP. Ada tiga tahapan penelitian. Tahap eksplorasi bertujuan mendapatkan gambaran pelaksanaan pengajaran PLH selama ini. Tahap eksperimentasi bertujuan menguji keefektifan modul. Tahap evaluasi bertujuan mengevaluasi modul. Eksplorasi dilakukan di SD dan SMP se-Jawa, dengan menyebarkan angket. Eksperimen dilaksanakan di Jawa Timur dengan rancangan Prates-Pascates Rambang Tiga Kelompok. Hasil eksplorasi menunjukkan bahwa guru SD dan SMP belum siap mengintegrasikan PLH yang disusun cukup dapat diandalkan

Abstract

Several indicators, such as comprehending and opinions of the society, were employed to detect the readiness of the society in facing the compulsory 9-year basic education. The population of this study is people of East Jawa divided into 4 strata, namely surplus area, adequate fertile area, non-fertile area, and nondeveloped area. The contrains faced by the people are among others: their low economics status, and their unawareness of the importance of education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pelaksanaan pengajaran bahasa Indonesia di Sekolah Menengah Umum (SMU) berdasarkan Kurikulum 1994. Variabel yang diamati adalah peran guru, peran siswa, materi pelajaran, interaksi belajar-mengajar, dan pelaksanaan penilaian. Pengamatan dilakukan melalui penelitian kelas selama enam bulan di kelas I SMU Negeri 2 Ujungpandang. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis isi yang mengikuti prosedur analisis model alir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran guru masih dominan, siswa lebih banyak pasif, proses belajar-mengajar bersifat verbalistik, materi cenderung bersifat struktural, dan penilaian jarang dilakukan

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji pengaruh perbedaan jenis pembelajaran terhadap perolehan belajar siswa yang bertipe gaya kognitif meruangkan tinggi (GKST) dan gaya kognitif meruangkan rendah (GKSR) dalam pembelajaran geometri. Dengan rancangan faktorial, kajian eksperimental ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa: (1) strategi pembelajaran yang berbeda terhadap perolehan belajar. Strategi modul memberikan perolehan belajar lebih baik daripada strategi penyampaian guru dalam pembelajaran geometri; (2) jenis gaya kognitif siswa yang berbeda (GKST dan GKSR) memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda pula pada perolehan belajar. Siswa bertipe GKST cenderung lebih baik perolehan belajarnya daripada siswa yang bertipe GKSR; dan (3) tidak terdapat interaksi antara jenis strategi pembelajaran dengan jenis gaya kognitif terhadap perolehan belajar geometri

Abstract

This study is a follow up the first one in which it was revealed that the student's process skill could be improved significantly within a relatively short time. In the first study the package developers or the researches themselves were the managers of the teaching learning process for the entire packages. The purpose of this second study was to find out whether those learning packages were still effective if the managers of the teaching-learning process were the teachers.

Abstract

This study was conducted to develop an instructional model of mechanical skill learning for the STM students to improve their cognitive, psychomotoric skills, motivation, and creativity. To develop an adequate instructional model, 15 experts were consulted. Based on the result of consultation, the model was revised. The revised model was then tried-out to 20 students of the STM Bengkulu and 17 students of the STM Curup. The result of try-out showed that the developed test items had moderate validity and reliability. The revised instructional model was applied to 25 students of the STM Bengkulu and 30 students of the STM Curup. The result of the study showed that the integrated instructional model was effective to teach mechanical skill, highly effective to increase students' motivation, and moderate to develop creativity

Abstract

This descriptive study attempted to explore the pattern Kindergarten pupils' behavior in consumming traditional foods. The sample consisted of 60 pupils drawn purposively from two private Kindergartens. The data were collected from their parents with a questionnaire and analysed by using narrative descriptions, t-test and Spearman product moment coorelations. It could be concluded that there were correlations between the patterns of Kindergarten pupil's behavior in consumming traditional foods and mothers' education, mothers' comprehension on nutrition, parents' income, and frequencies of family's attendance in restaurants. It was suggested that traditional foods or snacks could be consumed by Kindergarten pupil as additional foods

Abstract

In oerder to produce qualified graduates it is essential to implement the management of human resources by applying the aspects of educational management. Those aspects cover the planning, organization, leadership, evaluation, and supervision of educational activities relevant to the management of educational resources in the schools. There is a positive correlation between the implementation of educational management and the graduates' readiness for the job market, of which the r = 0.684 at the significance level of 5%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan pelaksanaan teknik pembinaan guru oleh kepala Madrasah Ibtidaiyah ditinjau dari latar belakang pendidikan, pengalaman dan masa kerjanya. Penelitian ini bersifat expose facto, dengan rancangan causal comparative. Populasi adalah Kepala Madrasah Ibtidaiyah se-Kabupaten Malang berjumlah 307 orang, tersebar dalam 32 kecamatan. Sampel diambil dengan teknik area proportional random sampling sebanyak 25%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan pelaksanaan teknik-teknik pembinaan guru oleh Kepala Madrasah Ibtidaiyah ditinjau dari latar belakang pendidikan, pengalaman, dan masa kerjanya
