Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure on firm value in transportation and logistics companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), with firm size included as a control variable. The transportation and logistics sector was selected because of its substantial Environmental impact and its relatively low ESG performance compared to other sectors. This study employed a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis on 21 transportation and logistics companies listed on the IDX during the 2021–2025 period. ESG disclosure was measured using a checklist based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards 2021, while firm value was measured using Tobin’s Q ratio. The results indicate that the Fixed Effects Model (FEM) was the most appropriate estimation model based on the Chow test and Hausman test results. Partially, Environmental disclosure has a positive and significant effect on firm value, whereas Social and Governance disclosures do not have a significant effect on firm value. Simultaneously, Environmental, Social, and Governance disclosures have a significant effect on firm value, with an Adjusted R-squared value of 61%. These findings suggest that investors in the transportation and logistics sector place greater emphasis on Environmental aspects than on Social and Governance aspects when assessing firm value. This may be because Governance practices are already largely standardized through regulatory requirements, resulting in limited variation across companies, while the impact of Social initiatives tends to materialize over a longer period and may not be immediately reflected in firm value.

Abstract

Various internal and external factors influence investment decisions, particularly financial literacy and income. This study applies a systematic literature review (SLR) to examine the relationship between financial literacy, income, and investment decisions. The review includes 18 full-text articles published in Indonesian or English between 2021 and 2025 in national and international journals indexed by SINTA or Scopus. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the findings show that financial literacy generally improves investment decision-making by enhancing individuals’ understanding of financial concepts, investment instruments, and risk management. Income also frequently has a positive effect on investment decisions by increasing individuals’ capacity to allocate funds for investment, although several studies report different findings.

Abstract

This case study examines the analysis of managerial skills in relation to the success of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in the Airlangga Urban Village, Surabaya. The study aims to understand how MSMEs in the area manage their managerial capabilities, specifically how business owners formulate business strategies and set goals to achieve desired success. It is expected that this research will provide insights and ideas for the MSMEs studied, particularly regarding managerial capabilities. This study employs a quantitative approach to analyze the influence of managerial capabilities on the success of MSMEs. The sample was selected using a saturated sampling technique, resulting in 15 MSMEs from the food, beverage, and handicraft sectors. Primary data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with respondents. Prior to analysis, the research instruments underwent validity, reliability, and normality tests to ensure that the prerequisites for analysis were met. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with SPSS software. The results indicate that managerial ability has a positive but statistically insignificant influence on MSME success. This suggests that, although improvements in managerial ability tend to be accompanied by increased MSME success, the influence is not statistically strong enough to demonstrate a significant relationship within this study's sample. These findings imply that MSME success is likely influenced by factors other than managerial ability that were not examined in this study.

Abstract

The rapid growth of MSMEs in the culinary sector requires every business to have a clear visual identity to compete and create a good brand image. Warung Kecil, a culinary MSME in Depok City, faces the problem of an inconsistent visual identity that does not reflect the brand's character well, making it difficult for consumers to recognize. This study aims to redesign Warung Kecil's visual identity to represent the business's character and attract the attention of teenagers and students. The method used is a mixture of several methods with a Design Thinking approach, which includes the stages of empathy, definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing. Data collection was carried out through interviews with business owners, observations, literature studies, and the distribution of questionnaires to 102 respondents. The design results produce a new visual identity with a retro, warm, and familiar style, which is realized through the use of a bright color palette in a new retro style, retro-modern typography, a simple and dynamic layout, and illustrations and graphic elements inspired by the atmosphere of a traditional warung. This visual identity is applied to the logo, merchandise, and the Graphic Standards Manual (GSM) to maintain consistency of use across various media. This visual identity redesign is expected to strengthen Warung Kecil's brand image, increase consumer recall, and support the development of more professional and sustainable MSME branding.

Abstract

The global Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry is under increasing pressure to transform in response to the climate crisis and net-zero carbon targets. Traditional conference activities generate substantial carbon emissions through transportation, paper consumption, food waste, and energy use. This study analyzes the impact of sustainable conference event management on reducing carbon footprints and examines practical implementation strategies. A descriptive-qualitative case study was conducted on the organization of The 8th Indonesian Association of MICE Conference (INAMICE) 2025. Data were collected through direct observation of event operations and analysis of secondary documents. Findings demonstrate that INAMICE 2025 implemented several effective measures to enhance sustainability and lower carbon emissions. These measures include adopting a hybrid conference format to reduce transportation-related emissions, fully digitalizing event operations, selecting eco-friendly catering vendors to minimize food waste, and introducing the MICE Sustainability Appreciation Awards to encourage decarbonization among industry stakeholders. The study concludes that a comprehensive commitment from event governance can substantially reduce a conference's carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices throughout the industry ecosystem.

Abstract

The phenomenon of commercializing animal cruelty in cyberspace has positioned Indonesia as the leading global contributor of animal abuse content. This cybercrime is facilitated by the algorithmic architecture of social media platforms, which prioritizes user engagement to maximize financial profit. Consequently, electronic system operators frequently shield themselves behind the safe harbor policy, perpetuating a crucial legal vacuum regarding intermediary liability within the national cyber law regime. This normative legal research employs statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches to deconstruct the impunity of digital corporations. Through a comparative analysis with the United Kingdom’s Online Safety Act and the European Union’s Digital Services Act, this study reveals a global paradigm shift from reactive moderation (ex post) toward proactive moderation obligations (ex ante). The article concludes that there is an urgent need to reorient Indonesia's cyber law policies by mandating platforms to filter violent content from the outset, reinforced by the threat of massive administrative fines based on a percentage of global revenue, thereby definitively severing the economic chain of the animal abuse industry.

Abstract

Academic stress has become a critical psychosocial challenge for Generation Z students in major cities such as Jakarta, who face high academic demands alongside competitive and fast-paced urban social dynamics. This study aims to analyze the effect of social support and resilience on academic stress among Generation Z students in Jakarta. A quantitative explanatory approach with a cross-sectional survey design was employed, involving 300 active students from various public and private universities in the Jakarta area, selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using the MSPSS for social support, the CD-RISC for resilience, and the Student Academic Stress Scale for academic stress, then analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression. The results show that social support (r = –0.61) and resilience (r = –0.64) have a significant negative relationship with academic stress, with both variables simultaneously explaining 50.8% of the variance in academic stress (R² = 0.508; F = 152.83; p < 0.001). Resilience was found to have a stronger influence than social support. This study concludes that strengthening social support and resilience together can be an effective strategy to reduce academic stress among Generation Z students, so higher education institutions need to develop community-based programs and student resilience-building initiatives.

Abstract

The escalation of building material costs represents a critical challenge in construction projects bound by lump sum fixed price contracts, as the entire financial burden of market fluctuations is fully borne by the executing contractor. This study aims to identify the triggering factors behind material cost overruns, systematically categorize the root causes of the problem, and establish a risk management priority scale for the construction of Hospital Building A by PT XYZ in West Jakarta. The research method employed is a qualitative approach utilizing an empirical case study design. Primary data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews with project management staff, non-participatory field observations, and FMEA method. The data analysis stages were mapped out using a fishbone diagram to trace the root causes, followed by the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to determine risk significance through the calculation of the Risk Priority Number (RPN). The results confirm that five main critical risks dominate the top tier of mitigation priorities. The highest ranking is occupied by the delay in updating warehouse inventory administrative data, reaching a peak Risk Priority Number score of 753.30. This is followed sequentially by factors concerning disparities in competency and discipline among foremen (710.89), inaccuracies in material cutting techniques (648.37), limited technical skills of workers in interpreting project shop drawings (545.95), and inadequate physical protection of instant cement and fragile materials against rainwater exposure (533.14). Through the formulation of this priority scale, management is provided with a measurable blueprint for mitigation strategies, emphasizing the reorganization of internal warehouse control systems and strengthening on-site labor supervision to minimize potential budget overruns.
