Abstract

Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) is one of the industries that not only contributes greatly to the local economy, but can also negatively impact the environment due to resource use, energy use, and waste production. As a result, the concept of sustainable MICE is developing, which integrates environmental, social, and economic elements in the implementation of MICE activities. This article aims to examine the implementation of the concept of Sustainable MICE in MICE venues based on previous research and identify opportunities for its implementation in Depok City. The desk review method is used to examine various publications, journals, and scientific articles related to sustainable event management and sustainable MICE. Studies show that the sustainable use of MICE in venues typically focuses on waste management, energy efficiency, reduction of single-use plastics, the use of digital technology, and cooperation between stakeholders. Nevertheless, barriers include limited infrastructure, high implementation costs, low participant awareness, and lack of consistent policies, according to several studies. This study found that research conducted on the sustainable use of MICE in locations like Depok is still very limited. Therefore, empirical research is needed to determine how ready MICE locations in Depok are to implement sustainability principles and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 17 on cooperation to achieve sustainable development goals.

Abstract

Conventional counseling processes often make students feel uncomfortable in recognizing, expressing, and developing their potential, highlighting the need for alternative media that are more interactive and enjoyable. This study aims to design a counseling board game as a medium for developing the potential of high school students. The case study was conducted at SMAIT Tunas Bangsa Depok through an educational game approach using a plantation metaphor that represents the gradual process of self-growth. The research employed a mixed-method approach with the Design Thinking method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, literature studies, and target audience analysis involving students of SMAIT Tunas Bangsa Depok. The resulting board game adopts a minimalist, fun, and illustrative tone and manner, visualized through a modern organic style. The dominant green color is combined with lime, bluish purple, orange, and yellowish brown to reflect the plantation theme. The designed board game combines strategy and party game elements, featuring self-reflection questions and game components consisting of 85 cards, packaging, an action plan sheet, stickers, and a game guidebook. The design process involved mind mapping, mood boards, manual sketches, and digitalization to develop the board game's visual elements. This board game is expected to help students understand the development of their potential, increase their confidence in self-expression, and foster more meaningful interpersonal communication.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how motivational dynamics influences farmers’ participation in digital platforms supporting community-based agrotourism. Grounded in Goal Achievement Theory, farmer’s motivations are conceptualized as dynamic and heterogeneous orientations that shape collective participation behavior. A mixed method approach was employed using a case study of the Petani Muda Keren Bali community combined with agent based modeling to simulate participation dynamics under different motivational and platform design scenarios. Farmers were categorized into mastery approach, mastery avoidance, performances approach, and performances avoidance orientations to capture variations in participation behavior over time. The findings indicate that approach oriented motivations generate higher and more stable participation dynamics, while avoidance oriented motivation contribute to slower and fragmented adoption patterns. The introduction of gamification elements alters motivational dynamics by strengthening positive interaction effects among farmers and accelerating collective participation within digital platform. The originality of the study lies in its integration of motivational theory and simulation based analysis to explain participation behavior in digital agrotourism context. The results highlight that digital platform function as social-technical systems shaped by human behavior rather than purely technological tools. Practically, the findings suggest  that platform designs sensitive to motivational diversity can enhance inclusive participation and support sustainable community based agrotourism development.

Abstract

The discontinuation of Indonesia's IDR 7 million purchase subsidy for battery electric motorcycles in early 2026 caused electric motorcycle sales in DKI Jakarta to fall by nearly 70% within the first quarter, leaving producers and dealers with unsold inventory. This study aims to examine the effect of incentive policy and price on the purchase decision of electric motorcycles in DKI Jakarta, and to test whether resilience strategy moderates these relationships. A quantitative explanatory approach was used, with data collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 219 respondents, of which 185 met the purposive sampling criteria (electric motorcycle owners/prospective buyers residing in the five administrative cities of DKI Jakarta). Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that incentive policy (β = 0.133; p = 0.044) and price (β = 0.432; p = 0.000) both have a significant positive effect on purchase decision, with price being the dominant predictor. Resilience strategy significantly moderates the effect of price on purchase decision, but in a weakening (negative) direction (β = -0.122; p = 0.016), while its moderating effect on incentive policy is not statistically significant (p = 0.053). The model explains 85.8% of the variance in purchase decision (R² = 0.858). These findings suggest that in the post-subsidy market, strengthening after-sales resilience strategies can reduce consumers' price sensitivity and sustain purchase decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to identify problems and inefficiencies in the shipment monitoring process at PT X, design an improved business process, and develop a shipment monitoring system application aligned with the proposed process. The research used a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through structured interviews, direct observation, and documentation study. The analysis applied Business Process Improvement through the stages of organizing for improvement, understanding the process, and streamlining. The current and proposed processes were modeled using Business Process Model and Notation, while the root causes of inefficiency were analyzed using a fishbone diagram based on the 4M categories. The findings show that the existing monitoring process still relies on e-mail and Excel reports from forwarders, causing information delays, manual data recap, reactive SLA checking, and late detection of delivery problems. The proposed process directs monitoring toward a centralized system where forwarders update shipment status directly, SLA compliance is checked automatically, and supporting documents are stored in the same system. The application design includes a monitoring dashboard, shipment data input, status updates, status history, delay notification, monitoring reports, issue notes, and proof uploads. This design is expected to make shipment monitoring more centralized, documented, responsive, and easier to control.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the existing business model condition, determine the strategic position through SWOT analysis, formulate measurable business development goals using the SMART Goals framework, and design an updated Business Model Canvas (BMC) for UMKM bakery X in Cimanggis District, Depok City. The integration of BMC-SWOT-SMART Goals serves as a comprehensive framework for analyzing and developing SME business models. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through in-depth interviews with seven informants, observation, focus group discussion, and document study, analyzed using NVivo through thematic coding, source triangulation, and technical triangulation. The findings indicate that the existing BMC demonstrates strengths in product availability, premium ingredient quality, and personal service, while facing challenges in manual transaction recording, limited physical assets, inconsistent digital marketing content, and over-reliance on the owner. Based on IFAS (2.08) and EFAS (1.17) scores, the business is positioned in Quadrant I with an SO Strategy. Four SMART Goals were formulated covering physical asset enhancement, digital operational systems, marketing and branding, and partnership network expansion, forming the basis for an applicable new BMC aligned with the business’s actual capacity to support sustainability and scalability.

Abstract

The development of social media has transformed the way tourism is promoted while also influencing tourists' decision-making processes, particularly for local-scale destinations such as village tourism. This study aims to examine the influence of information credibility and content attractiveness on Instagram of the Demak Regency Tourism Office on tourists' decisions to visit village tourism destinations in the region. Using a quantitative method based on a survey of 200 tourist respondents, the data were analyzed through the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach using SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that information credibility has a significant effect on visiting decisions. Likewise, social media content attractiveness also shows a significant effect. Interestingly, content attractiveness proves to have a more dominant influence compared to information credibility, indicating that visual elements, creativity, and content presentation style are the primary factors in attracting potential tourists. This confirms that Instagram serves not only as an information channel but also as a visual promotional instrument capable of driving tourist behavior in determining visiting decisions. This study reinforces previous research stating that attractive content can build a positive destination image and increase visit intention. Practically, these findings can provide input for the Demak Regency Tourism Office to continuously improve information quality and content innovation in promotion, in order to boost tourist visits to village tourism destinations in Demak Regency.

Abstract

The gap in technology adoption among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) amid rapid digital transformation threatens long-term business sustainability, particularly in competitive urban areas such as Depok City. This study examines the influence of digital literacy and information system quality on sustainable business performance of MSMEs, while assessing whether information system quality serves as a mediating variable. A quantitative cross-sectional survey design was employed, involving 214 active MSME respondents selected via purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and the Baron & Kenny mediation procedure through IBM SPSS 26. Findings reveal that digital literacy positively and significantly influences sustainable business performance (β = 0.473; p < 0.001), as does information system quality (β = 0.301; p < 0.001). Together, both predictors account for 61.4% of the variance in sustainable business performance (R² = 0.614). Information system quality is confirmed as a partial mediator in the relationship between digital literacy and sustainable business performance. These findings underscore that the most effective intervention is simultaneous: strengthening digital literacy capacity must be coupled with the parallel adoption of high-quality information systems. Depok City Government is recommended to design sector-based digital literacy training programs, with emphasis on digital content production competencies.
