Abstract

The linear take-make-dispose economic model has proven inadequate in addressing twenty-first-century sustainability challenges, giving rise to circular economy (CE) as a strategic alternative. Indonesia, as the world's fourth-largest waste producer, faces urgency in this transition, reflected in the CE Roadmap 2025–2045 and the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2025–2029. This article aims to map CE concepts, analyze their implementation across Indonesia's strategic sectors, and identify key drivers and barriers. The research employs a systematic literature review (SLR) of 12 selected sources from 500 initial documents retrieved via Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar for the period 2018–2025. Findings reveal that CE research in Indonesia predominantly operates at the macro scale, with implementation concentrated in the food and beverage and textile sectors. Key drivers include organizational agility, business analytics capability, green human resource management, digital supply chain, stakeholder engagement, and women's participation. Conversely, main barriers encompass limited capital and technology access for SMEs, low CE literacy, inadequate integrated policy frameworks, and significant waste infrastructure gaps between Java and the outer islands. These findings are expected to contribute to evidence-based and inclusive CE policy formulation in Indonesia.

Abstract

The development of Extended Reality (XR) technology in education provides significant opportunities for creating more interactive and immersive learning media. However, the implementation of XR in the education sector still faces challenges such as limited resources, high implementation costs, and the lack of optimal XR-based edutech service models. This study aims to analyze the business model of EduverseXR as an XR-based edutech service using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach and SWOT analysis to formulate sustainable business development strategies. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method using a literature review approach. Data were collected from secondary sources such as scientific articles, books, and relevant previous studies. The analysis was conducted by mapping the business model using BMC and identifying internal and external factors through SWOT analysis. The results show that EduverseXR has strong potential in developing AR and VR-based learning media supported by technological capabilities, innovative products, and significant opportunities in the digital education sector. The proposed development strategies include strengthening product differentiation, improving human resource competencies, and expanding partnerships with educational institutions to support sustainable XR implementation.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the growing trend of preloved fashion and the increasing involvement of public figures in the event industry, while celebrity preloved exhibitions in Jakarta remain relatively limited. This study aims to analyze the market potential of celebrity preloved exhibitions in Jakarta based on prospective exhibitor interest and competitor mapping. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, supported by documentation studies. Primary data were collected through online questionnaires distributed to 30 prospective exhibitors, consisting of celebrities, public figures, influencers, content creators, brands, and celebrity management teams. Secondary data were obtained through digital documentation of similar events in Jakarta. The findings indicate that prospective exhibitors demonstrate strong readiness and interest in participating in celebrity preloved exhibitions. The concept is considered relevant not only as a transactional platform, but also as a medium for promotion, audience interaction, and personal branding enhancement. Competitor mapping shows that the celebrity preloved exhibition segment is emerging, although it has not yet been fully dominated by a single major organizer. Therefore, celebrity preloved exhibitions in Jakarta have promising market potential when positioned as lifestyle events that emphasise sustainable fashion, celebrity experience, and audience engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the contract negotiation communication process, the strategies employed, and its role in budget optimization for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) event management. A descriptive qualitative approach was adopted, with data collected through in-depth interviews with 10 purposively selected MICE event organizers in Jakarta and Depok. Data were analyzed using NVivo software through thematic coding. The findings reveal that contract negotiation communication consistently unfolds in three stages: pre-negotiation, negotiation execution, and post-negotiation. Across all stages, clarity of work scope, collaboration, and active listening emerged as the dominant communication elements. Six negotiation communication strategies were identified — rational persuasion, data-based communication, vendor assurance techniques, bargaining techniques, conflict resolution, and structured argumentation — with the collaborative approach proving most effective. Contract negotiation communication demonstrably contributes to budget optimization through four dimensions: value for money, cost efficiency, cost control, and budget savings, with savings ranging from 10% to 15% of the initial total budget. These findings affirm that contract negotiation communication serves as a strategic instrument in MICE event management, particularly in achieving budget efficiency without compromising service quality.

Abstract

This study examines how social criticism of digital economic speculation is constructed in the 2026 Marjan Ramadan commercial titled “Nakula & Sadewa: Guardians of the Digital City” using Roland Barthes’s semiotic framework of denotation, connotation, and myth. The research question is how denotation, connotation, and myth are constructed in each scene across both episodes of the advertisement, and what social critique emerges through the system of signs employed. This study employs a descriptive-interpretive qualitative method by analyzing purposefully selected scenes, which encompass five categories: the detection of corruption in the financial system; the magnification of the antagonist’s figure due to crypto speculation; the resulting urban destruction; the failure of physical and technological interventions; and resolution through spiritual power. The results indicate that these commercials construct social criticism of greed and economic speculation through non-human antagonists, which shifts blame away from concrete social actors while normalizing technological failure and spiritual victory as myths. Further findings indicate that this critique tends to be depoliticized with regard to structural issues and instrumentalized to strengthen the brand’s presence during both moments of failure and victory, consistent with patterns found in previous research on Marjan advertisements.

Abstract

The development of Bandung City as a MICE destination requires a clear understanding of the stakeholders involved and their respective roles within the destination ecosystem. However, studies that specifically map MICE stakeholders in Bandung City remain limited. This study aims to identify the stakeholder groups involved in supporting the development of Bandung City as a MICE destination and to classify their roles within the MICE ecosystem. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach through desk research and document analysis. Data were collected from policy documents, official publications, literature, and relevant stakeholder discussion materials, then analyzed through data reduction, stakeholder categorization, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Bandung City’s MICE ecosystem involves five main stakeholder groups: government, MICE industry and business actors, academics and educational institutions, local communities, and media and digital platforms. These stakeholders perform complementary roles as regulators, facilitators, policy integrators, service providers, promoters, human resource and innovation supporters, and destination attraction enhancers. The study concludes that Bandung City has strong basic capital as a MICE destination, particularly in infrastructure, accommodation, creative economy, culinary ecosystem, and connectivity. Nevertheless, cross-sector coordination, integrated promotion, and stakeholder role clarity still need to be strengthened to support a more collaborative, competitive, and sustainable MICE destination.

Abstract

In the MICE sector, logistics management is a critical infrastructure for the success of large-scale corporate events. This empirical research evaluates the implementation of human-centered logistics and agile procurement by PT Produksi Anak Bangsa during the Financial Services Authority's (OJK) 8th Staff Candidate Education Program (PCS 8). Utilizing a five-month descriptive qualitative approach through participatory observation, the study analyzes operational adaptability, financial risk management, and field disruptions. The findings reveal that operational precision relies on a Tri-Phasic Logistics Architecture (Pre-Event, Loading-In, Load-Out) integrated with real-time petty cash controls. Human-centered agility effectively resolved sudden operational bottlenecks, specifically overnight MC cue card reconstructions and unplanned VIP hospitality demands. Furthermore, a five-stage "double-check" verification protocol proved vital in preventing asset loss, leading to the conclusion that integrating flexible field sourcing with rigorous tracking frameworks is essential for maintaining service quality in high-pressure MICE environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student perceptions of the use of the ZepQuiz platform as an interactive learning medium for economics at SMA Negeri 9 Jakarta. Using a case study approach, data was collected through an open-ended questionnaire distributed to representatives of 10th-grade students who had participated in economics learning using the platform. The results showed a very positive response, with students finding the classroom learning dynamics more enjoyable, interactive, and less boring. The use of gamification elements in ZepQuiz has been shown to increase enthusiasm and motivation to learn, help students focus, and facilitate understanding of theoretically dense economics material. Therefore, these findings imply the importance of educators' anticipatory strategies in managing digital infrastructure to ensure optimal implementation of gamification innovations.

Abstract

The use of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) as a digital payment system has continued to grow in Indonesia. However, its implementation in traditional markets remains suboptimal, as many traders still prefer cash transactions. This study aims to analyze the forms of resistance among food traders toward the use of QRIS, identify the factors shaping such resistance based on the dimensions of Consumer Resistance to Innovation, and examine the influence of cash payment preferences among Generation X and Baby Boomer consumers on traders’ resistance at Pasar Jaya Cibubur. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The informants consisted of four food traders and four consumers from Generation X and Baby Boomer groups. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The analysis was further supported by data visualization using NVivo 15. The findings reveal that traders’ resistance to QRIS tends to take the form of postponement adoption rather than outright rejection of digital payment innovation. Such resistance is influenced by usage barriers, value barriers, risk barriers, tradition barriers, and image barriers, with the tradition barrier emerging as the most dominant factor. In addition, the preference for cash transactions among Generation X and Baby Boomer consumers was found to reinforce traders’ resistance to QRIS adoption. The study concludes that traders’ resistance reflects an adaptive response to consumer characteristics and the traditional market environment rather than a rejection of technological advancement in digital payment systems.

Abstract

This study examines how digital registration applications are used in the organization of MICE events by XYZ Event Organizer, a private event company based in BSD, Tangerang. This research uses a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through in depth interviews with three informants representing three levels of involvement in the registration process, namely the project manager, operational staff, and an event participant. Source and method triangulation were applied to keep the data credible, and the data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. Findings show that the application is used consistently across the pre event, during event, and post event stages, improving efficiency and data accuracy, while obstacles such as network disruption and participant unfamiliarity with the technology still occur. The study also reveals participant concern over message sender identity that resembles phishing, an aspect not previously highlighted in similar research. This study contributes practical input for XYZ Event Organizer and other companies in the same industry in optimizing their use of registration technology.
