Abstract

This development is carried out to develop Website-based geographic information system learning media and assess the effectiveness of Website-based learning. This development uses 10 steps of development from the modified Borg and Gall. Media validation was carried out by media experts and material experts, then tested on research subjects, namely students of class X SMA. The research instrument used was a questionnaire and recommendation sheet. The average percentage of results from the display aspect is 83%; content aspect 78%; and the learning aspect is 79.2%, which means that the media is suitable for use.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the character of the influencer in this novel. Starting from sociable behaviour, forgiving soul, helpful, and not giving up. This research is qualitative research with inductive method. The data of this research is the text in the novel. The source of the data is the novel Life Is Hard, So Gebuklah by Prie GS. This data analysis activity is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this analysis show that Ipung's personality leads to characters such as easy to get along with other people, likes to forgive people's mistakes, likes to help people who need help, and doesn't give up easily when he faces problems.

Abstract

This article aims to examine more deeply the process of economic education that exists in the family of traders in Sumbermanjing Wetan Village, Malang Regency, where the family can provide economic education to children so that from an early age the children can receive real knowledge about family economic education. The method used is qualitative and a type of case study approach. The location determination in this study was carried out purposively and incentivized. The result of this research is that the implications of economic education taught by parents on children's behavior can be seen through openness about the economic conditions in the family and the child's response to knowing the economic condition of their family, practice of saving, and thrift.

Abstract

Laboratory-based learning is learning that aims to develop an understanding of scientific content, problem-solving skills, science skills and understanding. This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry laboratory on critical thinking skills in terms of students' initial abilities in the material reaction rate. The research design used was a quasi-experimental posttest. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique is the students of class XI semester 1 one of the public high schools in Malang City. Hypothesis testing used two-way ANOVA with SPSS 22 for windows. The results showed that there was an interaction between the learning strategy and the prior knowledge of students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the relationship of the variable managerial skills of the principal, and the organizational climate to the spirit of teacher work in Senior High School in Mojokerto. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis methods. The result of this study is that teachers have a high spirit of work. Then the principal at senior high school in Mojokerto has good managerial skills. Furthermore, Senior High School in Mojokerto has an excellent organizational climate. There is a link between the principal's managerial skills and the organization's climate to the teacher's work spirit.

Abstract

This study purpose to analyze the misconceptions of second semester students on Salt Hydrolysis using a four-level multiple choice test. The method used is descriptive quantitative. The results of the research findings show that category of the highest concept understanding is 53.2%, not understanding the concept and the highest error is 12.71%, 17.29% and the highest misconception is 70.33% in the salt hydrolysis subsection. The analysis of items in each question indicator resulted in 30.50% of the highest misconceptions being on the indicator explaining the hydrolysis reaction based on the strength of the conjugate acid-base. Misconceptions were detected because students were unable to relate the prerequisite material to the acid-base material in the conjugate acid-base subsection according to Bronsted Lowry with the salt hydrolysis material they had just studied.

Abstract

Learning Grammar nowadays is still delivered by providing explanation and tasks only. This research aims to provide classroom intervention by using WhatsApp and Personal Bio-Poem activity in Intermediate Grammar Class, Universitas Brawijaya. The research method utilizes Classroom Action Research. To collect the data, classroom observation and document analysis were used. The result revealed that the implementation of Personal Bio-Poem activity has aligned with CLT learning model and Bloom’s Learning Domain Taxonomy. Besides the implementation of Personal Bio-Poem, it is also evident that the use of WhatsApp group can help students personalize their Grammar learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan bahan ajar berbicara BIPA tingkat menengah untuk pembelajaran daring. Prosedur pengembangan menggunakan model ADDIE dengan lima tahapan sebagai berikut. Tahapan tersebut adalah (1) analisis, (2) desain, (3) pengembangan, (4) implementasi, dan (5) evaluasi. Hasil produk pengembangan divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan praktisi BIPA. Berdasarkan hasil uji validasi tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar keterampilan berbicara ini layak digunakan untuk pembelajaran BIPA secara daring.

Abstract

This research design used reseach and development design, in the form of geography textbook based on critical thinking in subject of Indonesia's Strategic Position as the World Maritime Axis for SMA/MA. The aim of this research is to observe the feasibility/validity and effectiveness of the developed textbook product. The development used the ADDIE development model. ADDIE development has 5 stages, they are: Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluation, but this research is only in Implement stage, while product testing stage. Data collection methods and data analysis techniques used validation instruments and closed questionnaire sheets with descriptive presentational data analysis techniques. The results of the research and development are obtained total score of the material validator 93% media 95% language 90%, while the average pre-test score of students in the medium category is 44.4%, the low category is 55.5% and the average post-test score of students in the high category is 42% and medium category 30%, and the score regarding the teacher's response to use geography textbooks based on critical thinking is 93%, and the student’s response score is 92%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the differences in students' conceptual understanding between students who learn with 5E learning cycle model with analogy, 5E learning cycle model, and conventional learning model on reaction rate materials. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The sample is determined using cluster random sampling technique and three classes are selected, namely experimental class 1, experiment class 2, and control class. The instrument used in the form of 15 reasoned multiple-choice questions (r=0,840) and analyzed using one-way Anova. The results shows that there are differences in conceptual understanding between students who are taught by 5E learning cycle learning model with analogy, 5E learning cycle model, and conventional learning model on the reaction rate material.
