Abstract

The native bacteria have a wide life habitat and have an important role as agents in the bioremediation process of waste. Batik as one of the products of Indonesian character, has become a contributor of liquid waste that can reduce water quality. Besides being rich in dyes, batik waste is also rich in fat content. The fat content in batik waste comes from the processing (coating the fabric with a layer of wax) and washing is done repeatedly. Fat has properties that are not soluble in water and is an organic material, which if high concentrations can reduce water quality. This study aims to isolate, identify, and measure the ability of indigenous bacteria to reduce fat content in liquid waste in vitro. The method used is experimental research. Isolation and culture using Busnall Hass media enriched with 1% olive oil, then proceed with a series of biochemical tests for the purpose of characterizing indigenous bacterial isolates. The results showed that Bacillus subtilis and Pseudomonas fluorescens have the potential to reduce the fat content of batik liquid waste.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan budidaya cacing tanah Lumbricus rubellus di Desa Pandesari Kecamatan Pujon Kabupaten Malang  adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran warga tentang pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan warga melalui pendapatan tambahan dari hasil peternakan sapi. Pencemaran lingkungan oleh buangan limbah kotoran sapi sudah menjadi masalah umum di Desa Pandesari. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut diperlukan alternatif pengelolaan limbah kotoran sapi yang menjadikannya manfaat untuk warga desa sekaligus diharapkan output dari budidaya cacing tanah dapat menjadi produk khusus Desa Pandesari. Oleh karena itu, metode pelaksanaan yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini dengan cara sosialisasi dan pelatihan sekaligus percontohan budidaya cacing tanah memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan serta meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat. Faktor pendukung program sosialisasi dan dan pelatihan yaitu respon baik dari masyarakat, pihak desa, narasumber yang berkompeten dan tersedianya sumber daya. Faktor penghambat yaitu pola pikir dan motivasi masyarakat untuk memulai budidaya cacing tanah.

Abstract

Tempat penampungan sampah terpadu reduce reuse recycle (TPST 3R) Mulyoagung Bersatu Dau merupakan salah satu diantara TPS yang ada di Kabupaten Malang. Setiap harinya TPS tersebut menampung berbagai macam sampah dari masyarakat di sekitar Kecamatan Dau sebelum diangkut ke TPA. Kegiatan pengelolaan sampah yang dilakukan pekeja, pengumpulan dan pemilahan sampah, mempunyai potensi terjadinya kecelakaan dan penyakit akibat kerja terlebih pelaksanaan K3 belum dilakukan sesuai standar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran risiko bahaya pada pekerja di TPST 3R Mulyoagung Bersatu Kecamatan Dau Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian diskriptif observasiional. Responden penelitian sebanyak 36 orang. Hasil dari penelitian ini, sebanyak 58% pekerja menyatakan bahaya yang “Sering” terjadi pada pekerja adalah tergores dan terjatuh. Sebesar 58% pekerja menyatakan “Sering” mengalami diare dan gangguan gastroinstestinal. Diperlukan upaya pencegahan dan penanggulangan terhadap bahaya ditempat kerja misalkan dengan praktik kerja yang aman, penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) yang sesuai standart dan praktik higiene perorangan untuk mencegah terjadinya penularan penyakit bawaan sampah.

Abstract

Kesejahteraan masyarakat dapat diukur dari beberapa aspek salah satunya dari ketahanan pangan serta tingkat ekonomi masyarakat. Sebagai upaya mewujudkan hal tersebut, memberikan solusi dengan menggalakkan program kerja Gerakan BuSaPonik Sederhana dengan melibatkan organisasi masyarakat yaitu Pemberdayaan dan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK). Program kerja ini dapat ikut menyukseskan tiga program PKK seperti program pangan, kelestarian lingkungan hidup, dan perencanaan sehat. Selain itu, kegiatan ini dapat menjadikan ibu-ibu PKK lebih produktif dan kreatif dalam memenuhi kebutuhan keluarganya masing-masing. Bahkan lebih lanjut, dapat meningkatkan ekonomi keluarga dan masyarakat Candirenggo melalui budidaya sayuran dari BuSaPonik.  Kata kunci— BuSaPonik Sederhana, budidaya sayuran, hidroponik sederhana Abstract Community welfare can be measured from several aspects, one of which is food security and the economic level of the community. In an effort to realize this, provides a solution by promoting the Simple BuSaPonik Movement work program by involving community organizations, Empowerment and Family Welfare (PKK). In addition, this activity can make PKK member (mothers) more productive and creative in meeting the needs of their respective families. Abstract

Tujuan dari Pendampingan Manajemen Keuangan, Legalitas, dan Kemasan Ramah Lingkungan untuk UMKM Mentoar Ecoprint Desa Gadingkulon, Kecamatan Dau, Kabupaten Malang ini adalah memberikan wawasan, pengetahuan, dan pendampingan bagi pelaku usaha ecoprint untuk membuat pembukuan sederhana, pendaftaran izin usaha, dan pembutan kemasan ramah lingkungan untuk dapat membantu usahanya berkembang. Metode yang dilakukan adalah melalui sosialisasi, kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada pelaku usaha sampai dengan pelaku usaha mempraktekkan langsung secara riil. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pendampingan ini adalah dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan wirausaha di dalam membuat pembukuan sedehana sehingga meningkatkan motivasi di dalam bekerja, percaya diri dengan legalitas usahanya, serta kemasan unik sebagai ciri khas produk. Pendampingan ini mendapat respon yang positif, pelaku usaha mendapatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai wawasan baru dalam menjalankan usahanya melalui pembukuan/pencatatan keuangan sederhana, pendaftaran izin usaha, dan kemasan yang menambah nilai tambah produk. Impikasinya adalah melalui pendampingan UMKM Mentoar Ecoprint Desa Gadingkulon mampu memahami cara berwirausaha yang baik melalui pencatatan keuangan, pendaftaran izin usaha, dan branding produk. The method adopted is through socialization, training, and mentoring activities for business actors until business actors practice it in real terms. The results obtained from this mentoring activity are able to increase entrepreneurial knowledge and skills in making simple bookkeeping so as to increase motivation at work, be confident in the legality of their business, as well unique packaging as a product characteristic. This assistance received a positive response and business actors gained knowledge and skills regarding new insights in running their business through simple financial bookkeeping/recording, registration of business licenses, and packaging that added value to the product. The implication is that through mentoring MSME Mentoar Ecoprint, Gadingkulon Village is able to understand good entrepreneurship through financial records, registration of business licenses, and product branding.Keywords— UMKM Ecoprint, Manajemen, Pendampingan, Legalitas, Kemasan Ramah Lingkungan

Abstract

Fakfak nutmeg seeds contain 6% of essential oil and 11-34% of fat. Trimyristin contained in nutmeg seeds reaches 80%. The oil and fat content in the nutmeg seeds can be used as an ingredient for making soap, perfume and other industrial materials. Tools made of stainless steel can be used to distill the oil content in nutmeg seeds. Reflux system using ester which will then be purified using acetone and then tested again with gas chromatography to isolate and purify nutmeg essential oil. Extraction of anthocyanin pigments from red dragon fruit peel waste using maceration method using distilled water and 10% citric acid with a ratio of 1:6 which is a mixed solvent type. The test parameters used pH values and absorbance values were measured using spectrophotometry with the UV-Visible method to determine and analyze the brightness level of the anthocyanin red dye content. The results of the content of trimyristin which can be potential as a soap additive and can be tested for anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties combined with the principle of green chemistry.

Abstract

This paper describes previous studies regarding the use of multimedia or virtual model and concrete model to improve students’ understanding of chemistry. Abstract

Mastering the topic of symmetry requires a good representational competence to smoothly understand, visualize, and manipulate the movement of three-dimensional objects. This literature study aimed to describe how concrete and virtual media can be utilized in improving students’ understanding of the topic. The study implies that the thinking process, cognitive tasks, interactions, mental models, and the completeness features displayed by the two models in identifying all symmetrical operations are the distinguishing factors of the effectiveness of the two formats in affecting students’ understanding. The study also implies that the virtual format will contribute to students’ understanding better than the concrete format does. However, the empirical study must be explored further to ensure the difference between the two formats.

Abstract

In this disruptive era, the success of teaching approaches that encourage students’ creativity and innovation is presented in students’ attained high-order thinking skills (HOTS). Consequently, the attainment of HOTS aids someone to avert negative things since they are capable of analyzing and evaluating their obtained information. Besides, HOTS also facilitates the process of students attaining knowledge, generating questions, properly interpreting information, and drawing a conclusion for an issue, with solid reasons, an open mind, and an effective means to communicate it. This article presents a theoretical study on the interactive instructional learning model and identifies its potential in accelerating students’ HOTS. It aims to introduce the interactive instructional model in chemistry learning. Further, this model can be adopted in a study with a more intensive evaluation of its empirical contribution to chemistry learning.
