Abstract

Teacher performance assessments in rural and urban areas are crucial to ensuring equitable education quality across a region. In urban areas, teaching performance assessments can help teachers provide information related to their ability to adapt to technological demands, curriculum, and high community expectations. Meanwhile, in rural areas, teaching performance assessment serves to identify limitations, improve competence, and encourage equitable access to education. The method used was mixed methods with a convergent parallel design. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling, involving 21 physical education teachers in Malang City and 21 physical education teachers in Malang Regency. The results of the quantitative analysis using the Mann-Whitney U test showed a p-value of 0.001 < 0.05, which means that there is a significant difference between the performance of teachers in rural and urban Malang. While the qualitative analysis stated that teachers in urban areas tended to be more humanistic, communicative, and varied, with a strong focus on learning orientation, motivational stimuli, appreciation, and creative warm-ups that support enjoyable and meaningful learning experiences. Conversely, teachers in rural areas are more prominent in technical aspects, with a more structured psychomotor learning structure and more intensive movement correction, but minimal in providing motivation and humanistic strategies. Thus, physical education teachers in urban areas focus more on experience and interaction, while rural teachers emphasize technical and instructional accuracy.

Abstract

This research aims to explore variations in student learning outcomes in Citizen Science Project (CSP) based biodiversity learning. The research method uses qualitative with a phenomenological approach to detail students' holistic experiences and understand the essence of the products produced. This research design was carried out by combining interviews, observation, and analysis of student products as the main data sources. The research was carried out in one of the schools in Bandung City. The research results showed that students produced a variety of products, including herbariums, posters, posts on the PlantNet application, and inventory books. The overall product reflects a deep understanding of biodiversity and the use of a variety of skills, such as classification, identification, and communication. CSP-based learning design makes a major contribution to the variety of learning outcomes because students are not only involved in collecting scientific data but are also able to express their findings through different media. This research provides new insights regarding the potential and effectiveness of CSP-based biodiversity learning in stimulating creativity and variations in students' learning outcomes. The findings of this research can be the basis for developing more innovative learning methods oriented towards developing students' skills in the context of sustainability and biodiversity conservation.

Abstract

This study explored Ethiopian Technical and Vocational Training Institute English teachers' perceptions and practices of student-centered learning. The interviews and observations results revealed positive teacher attitudes towards student-centered approaches, but classroom practices often remained teacher-centered and reliant on textbooks, disregarding student interests. Challenges included a lack of practical implementation skills, conflicting summative assessments, and the need for continuous formative feedback. Bridging the conceptual-practical divide requires practice-integrated professional development and flexible policies to support autonomy and experience- driven curricula. These findings contribute to understanding contextual realities and refining alignment with evolving workforce demands through ongoing improvement and localized responsiveness.

Abstract

Changes in the form or pattern of thinking and behavior of most children today are not something that is easy to study. From the observations obtained, there are very few children who display good behavior, especially at the Mts level, especially at MTs Negeri 1 Pontianak. With this, the technique of reframing words or reframing is present in destroying negative behavior and morals in this day and age. The aim of this research is to be able to emphasize the reframing strategy in the implementation or application process, apart from that, the reframing strategy can also be said to be good in its implementation, because it has been implemented for almost 1 year. The methods we use are interviews, documentary observation, qualitative research with a descriptive qualitative model. Where the target of this subject is only students in one class who will be researched and interviewed. The results of the observations reflect that many students cannot manage their study time, spread negative influences so they quickly become obsessed, and are unable to control their emotions well in any case.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low mathematical problem solving abilities of students at Muhammdiyah 10 Rantauprapat Private High School. This is because the model used by teachers is still not varied, where teachers only explain and teachers only take notes without actively involving students in learning. In this case the researcher uses the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of class The population in this study were all students in class The average pretest result is 38.00 and the average posttest result is 85.33, meaning the average posttest score is higher than the pretest score. From the hypothesis test, it was obtained that t = 5.556 and t table = 2.048. So if we consult the t table with a significance level of 0.01, the results show that 5.556 > 2.048. This means that t count is greater than t table. So it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model has a very significant influence on the mathematical problem solving abilities of students in class This is strengthened because the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model has advantages and goals that are able to encourage students to learn more effectively because they focus on problem solving and students are able to develop themselves.
