Abstract

This study aims to identify the needs in the development of teaching materials on low carbon education, which is still rarely delivered at the VII grade secondary school level. This research uses the Mix Method. Quantitative data collection with a total of 100 respondents located in Bogor regency in the 2024/2025 academic year using assessment questions on the level of knowledge, low carbon competencies, and environmental care attitude questionnaire. Meanwhile, qualitative data were generated from observations of climate resilience based on the geographical location of the education unit. The results of this study show that students still need improvement in knowledge, low carbon competency, and environmental care attitude. The climate resilience analysis shows that the school conditions have the potential to implement learning that raises environmental issues to be used as topics in learning, and the use of social media. Therefore, the need for the development of teaching materials includes learning that contains videos or images, case studies with local issues, accompanied by group assignments that integrate social media as a medium for campaigns to protect the environment, so that it accommodates learning that forms an attitude of environmental care.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to create STEM-based science e-modules contains East Kalimantan-specific concepts, such as habitats, ecosystems, resource use, environmental pollution, and fauna conservation. In addition, this research also evaluates how students’ response as user to the use of e-modules. This study uses the Borg and Gall research and development (RnD) model, which is only applicable to the main product revision stage in this paper. Student answer questionnaires, material and media expert validation sheets were the instruments utilized in this investigation. Three experts who taught the discipline of biology education and computer education validated the work of material and media specialists. According to the validators' evaluation, the final module is valid and very testable, with the average percentage of media expert review is 97.62%. and content expert review is 87.50%. 11 students from the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, FKIP, Mulawarman University, participated in the e-module trial phase. According to the answer questionnaire, the created e-module received a positive response with an average percentage of 90.77%, placing it in the satisfactory range and making It is safe for use as a learning resource in the instructional process.AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengembangkan e-modul STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematic) pada beberapa topik tertentu meliputi habitat, ekosistem, pemanfaatan sumber daya alam, pencemaran lingkungan dan konservasi fauna khas kalimantan timur, dan menemukan dampak e-modul pada respon penggunanya yaitu mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma pengembangan Borg and Gall, yang merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang kami batasi hanya sampai pada tahap 5 yakni tahap revisi produk. Kuesioner tanggapan pengguna, lembar validasi ahli materi dan media digunakan dalam pengambilan data penelitian. Validasi pakar materi dan media dilakukan oleh 3 orang pakar yang merupakan dosen prodi pendidikan biologi dan pendidikan komputer. Berdasarkan penilaian para pakar selaku validator, modul akhir dinyatakan valid dan sangat dapat diuji coba skala besar, dengan rata-rata persentase dari pakar media sebesar 97,62%. Pakar pada materi juga menyatakan rerata persentase yang tinggi yaitu 87,50%. Sebelas mahasiswa dari Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, FKIP, Universitas Mulawarman, mengikuti tahap uji coba kelompok kecil e-modul. Berdasarkan angket respon pengguna, e-modul yang dibuat mendapat respon yang sangat positif dengan persentase rata-rata 90,77%, sehingga diputuskan layak untuk digunakan sebagai sumber belajar dalam proses pembelajaran.How To Cite: Suhartini, E., Haerani, R.P.R. Abstract

AbstractThis study proposes a design for a Plant Anatomy course by adapting Marzano's instructional framework to develop students’ information analysis and processing skills. The focus of the Plant Anatomy course is determined because it requires complex cognitive processing to integrate knowledge about plant tissue structure with changes in plant structure based on adaptation strategies in their habitat. This study employs a quantitative method, utilising information analysis ability tests and process skills tests as its instruments. The data were analysed descriptively using an assessment rubric. The design is then tested on 106 undergraduate students in Biology Education taking the Plant Anatomy course during data collection at a university in West Java, Indonesia. The results showed that the Marzano-based plant anatomy course design could facilitate students' information analysis and processing skills due to a conducive learning environment, the utilisation of prior knowledge, the development of thinking potential, the delivery of meaningful information, contextual learning, and cooperative learning. This study further proposes using this design when studying materials with a high concept interconnection.Abstrakkerangka pembelajaran Marzano guna mengembangkan keterampilan analisis dan pemrosesan informasi mahasiswa. Fokus pada mata kuliah Anatomi Tumbuhan dipilih karena materi ini memerlukan pemrosesan kognitif yang kompleks untuk mengintegrasikan pengetahuan tentang struktur jaringan tumbuhan dengan perubahan struktur tumbuhan berdasarkan strategi adaptasi di habitatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dan instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan analisis informasi dan tes keterampilan proses. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan rubrik penilaian.  Desain ini kemudian diuji pada 106 mahasiswa program sarjana Pendidikan Biologi yang mengambil mata kuliah Anatomi Tumbuhan selama pengumpulan data di sebuah universitas di Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain pembelajaran Anatomi Tumbuhan berbasis Marzano dapat memfasilitasi keterampilan analisis dan pemrosesan informasi mahasiswa melalui lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, pemanfaatan pengetahuan awal, pengembangan potensi berpikir, penyampaian informasi yang bermakna, pembelajaran kontekstual, dan pembelajaran kooperatif. Penelitian ini lebih lanjut mengusulkan agar desain ini digunakan dalam mempelajari materi yang memiliki keterkaitan konsep yang tinggi.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of nutritional literacy among students in obtaining, processing, and understanding information to make appropriate decisions regarding nutritional choices. The purpose of this study was to examine students' learning activities in analyzing nutritional literacy through the application of project-based worksheets, as well as to analyze the characteristics of purple sweet potato ice cream. The method used was a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design, involving 35 students from one school in Indonesia. The results showed that students' learning activities were very good, with an engagement rate of 88%. Students' nutritional literacy improved significantly, with an N-Gain value of 0.50, which falls into the moderate category. Additionally, the physical characteristics of purple sweet potato ice cream using aloe vera gel stabilizer and CMC met the standards of SNI No. 01-3713-1995. This study contributes to contextual science learning through the development of project-based worksheets that not only enhance students' nutritional literacy but also connect scientific knowledge with real-world practice through simple experimental activities.keywords: Purple sweet potato ice cream; project-based worksheets; nutritional literacy; use of aloe vera gel; natural stabilizer.

Abstract

This research aims to 1) develop the problem-based digital game learning media to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes, 2) find out the feasibility of the use of the problem-based digital game learning media, and 3) determine the increase in students’ cognitive learning outcomes after using the problem-based digital game learning media. This development research used the 4-D model (Four D) which consisted of 4 stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research instrument were validation sheets, interview sheet, and questionnaire. The data were analyzed using quantitative and descriptive qualitative analysis. The result of the development was the digital game learning media. The results of the validation showed a score of 85.3% (very feasible) for media, 92.3% (very feasible) for content. Meanwhile, it reached a score of 81.25 % (very feasible) from the pedagogical expert validation, 92 % (very feasible) from practitioner validation, 90,42 % (very feasible) and 92.1% (very feasible) from students. The N-Gain analysis showed students in the high (90%) and moderate (10%) results. The results of the study show that the digital game is very suitable to be used in the learning process.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengembangkan media pembelajaran game digital berbasis masalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa, 2) mengetahui kelayakan game digital berbasis masalah, serta 3) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang menerapkan media pembelajaran game digital berbasis masalah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4-D (Four D). Model pengembangan 4-D terdiri atas 4 tahap yaitu define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebarluasan). Intrumen pengumpulan data terdiri dari lembar validasi, lembar wawancara, dan angket. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil validasi media memperoleh skor sebesar 85,3 % (sangat layak), validasi materi memperoleh skor sebesar 92,3 % (sangat layak), validasi ahli pedagogi memperoleh skor sebesar 81,25 % (sangat layak), validasi praktisi memperoleh skor sebesar 92% (sangat layak), sedangkan hasil validasi terhadap siswa diperoleh skor sebesar 90,42 (sangat layak) dan 92,1% (sangat layak). Berdasarkan analisis N-Gain diperoleh hasil siswa dengan kategori tinggi (90%) dan sedang (10%). Abstract

AbstractProject-Based Learning has been recognized as an effective instructional approach for enhancing conceptual understanding and 21st-century skills in physics education. However, there is a lack of systematic bibliometric studies that map the development, trends, and research gaps in this topic. This study aims to identify research areas that have been extensively explored, as well as those that remain underexplored within PjBL in Physics Education. The method employed is descriptive with bibliometric analysis using data from Scopus, through the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. The analysis was conducted using Publish or Perish and VOSviewer software. From the 48 publications analyzed, it was found that the number of publications declined over the past three years, after peaking in 2021 due to the growing demand for 21st-century competency-based curricula. This decline is suspected to be related to implementation challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. The distribution of affiliations and countries indicates that there are still institutions and nations not actively involved in this topic. Emerging research focuses, such as links to curriculum, scientific inquiry, and technology, present opportunities for further studies. The findings of this study highlight the need for expanding and deepening PjBL research in Physics Education across various national and institutional contexts.AbstrakProject-Based Learning telah dikenal sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan abad ke-21 dalam pendidikan fisika. Namun, belum banyak kajian bibliometrik yang secara sistematis memetakan perkembangan, tren, dan kesenjangan penelitian dalam topik ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi fokus kajian yang telah banyak diteliti serta area yang masih belum tergarap dalam PjBL pada Pendidikan Fisika. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan analisis bibliometrik menggunakan data dari Scopus, melalui tahapan identifikasi, penyaringan, kelaikan, dan inklusi. Analisis dilakukan dengan perangkat Publish or Perish dan VOSviewer. Dari 48 publikasi yang dianalisis, ditemukan bahwa jumlah publikasi menurun dalam tiga tahun terakhir, setelah mengalami puncak pada tahun 2021 yang dipicu oleh kebutuhan kurikulum berbasis kompetensi abad ke-21. Penurunan ini diduga terkait tantangan implementasi selama masa pandemi COVID-19. Distribusi afiliasi dan negara menunjukkan masih adanya institusi dan negara yang belum terlibat aktif dalam topik ini. Fokus penelitian baru seperti keterkaitan dengan kurikulum, penelitian ilmiah, dan teknologi menunjukkan peluang riset lanjutan. Hasil studi ini menekankan perlunya perluasan dan pendalaman penelitian PjBL dalam Pendidikan Fisika di berbagai konteks negara dan institusi.

Abstract

Learning difficulties often hinder students from reaching their academic potential, one of which is caused by boredom during the learning process. This boredom can occur if the teaching methods applied are not sufficiently engaging or relevant to the students. This study aims to explore the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and Cooperative Learning models used by chemistry teachers to overcome learning difficulties among 10th-grade students at Madrasah Pembangunan. The research approach used in this study is qualitative with a case study design, in which data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation. The results indicate Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and Cooperative Learning models can overcome student difficulties in learning chemistry concepts when combining with differentiated instruction and linking learning to real-life issues. The application of these learning models has been proven to increase student engagement in the learning process and facilitate a deeper and more practical understanding of chemical concepts within the context of their daily lives. This study contributes to enriching chemistry teaching practices at the secondary school level with more innovative and applicable approaches.

Abstract

The use of interactive multimedia is very important to develop in physics learning. The purpose of this study is to develop interactive multimedia base google sites on the subject of work and energy to improve the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Bina Warga 1 Palembang which are valid, practical and have a potential effect. The method used is Research and Development with a rowntree development model consisting of several stages, namely: planning, development and evaluation. The evaluation used is a modified Tassmer evaluation consisting of self-evaluation, expert review, one to one, small group, and field test. The data collection technique uses a walkthrough to test the validity of the product which consists of three validators to assess the product from the material, media and language aspects, one to one and small group stages to test the practicality of the product developed. The results showed that interactive multimedia was valid and practical (3.56 interformations were very valid) and (94% were very practical stage one to one, 87% were very practical small group stage) for the N-Gain value obtained an average of 0.72 high category. So it can be concluded that interactive multimedia in the form of google sites is suitable for use in learning physics.AbstrakPenggunaan multimedia interaktif sangat penting untuk dalam pembelajaran fisika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan multimedia interaktif berbasis google sites pada pokok bahasan usaha dan energi untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Bina Warga 1 Palembang yang valid, praktis dan memiliki pengaruh potensial. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development dengan model pengembangan rowntree yang terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pengembangan dan evaluasi. Evaluasi yang digunakan adalah modifikasi evaluasi Tassmer yang terdiri dari evaluasi diri, expert review, one to one, small group, dan field test. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan walkthrough untuk menguji validitas produk yang terdiri dari tiga validator untuk menilai produk dari aspek materi, media dan bahasa, tahap one to one dan small group untuk menguji kepraktisan produk yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia interaktif valid dan praktis (3,56 interformasi sangat valid) dan (94% sangat praktis tahap 1-1, 87% sangat praktis tahap kelompok kecil) untuk nilai N-Gain diperoleh rata-rata 0,72 tinggi kategori. Abstract

The problem of low science literacy needs to be used as a reference by the government in improving the learning system in Indonesia. This study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of STEM-Based Electronic Student Worksheets (E-LKPD) to Improve Science Literacy Skills in Environmental Change Materials. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The development process goes through a validity test of 2 experts, a readability test of 15 students, and a field trial by 1 biology teacher and 35 students. The results of the study showed that the developed E-LKPD had an average validity percentage of 85.2% with very feasible criteria. In the readability test, the average percentage of E-LKPD reached 86.2% with very feasible criteria. While in the field trial, the responses of teachers and students showed very feasible criteria with percentages of 81.25% and 82.25%. There was an increase in the average creative thinking ability measured through the test instrument. The average result of creative thinking ability before the implementation of E-LKPD was 57.3 while after the implementation of E-LKPD it increased to 79.6 with an N-Gain of 0.50 in the moderate category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that E-LKPD is very feasible to use in learning activities and there is an increase in scientific literacy skills after the use of E-LKPD in the learning process.

Abstract

Several ecosystems have currently experienced damage due to several factors, both natural and due to human activities. Efforts to minimize this damage can be done made by encouraging students to be aware of the natural resources around them, one of which is based on local wisdom. This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge of the concept of an ecosystem based on local wisdom and environmental sensitivity with ecological behavior. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method. Respondents consisted of 168 students of class X IPA SMAN 97 Negeri Jakarta, who were taken using a simple random sampling technique. Data testing in this study includes normality, homogeneity, and linearity for correlational and regression analysis. The results of the study showed that there was a positive and strong correlation between knowledge of ecosystem concepts based on local wisdom and ecological behavior, which was 64,8%. Based on these results, the implication in this research is that knowledge of ecosystem concepts based on local wisdom can be increased through strong ecological behaviors.
