Abstract

Turbulent flow in the open channel, often exhibit a phenomenon bursting in expansion or inhibition case. This phenomenon disturbing to the flow at the turbine area. In this study, Research to analyze the occurrence of interference bursting in the river turbine area, done by simulating the river flow with a variety of depths ratio y/L, using vertical turbine NACA 0018 in a trapezoidal channel, with k-ԑ turbulence models in CFD. From the simulation results the smaller ratio of the depth y/L, the force of turbulence flow (bursting flow) at the turbine increases.

Abstract

Glass is a widely used material today. One of them is as a window of a building. As the material is easily broken, glass is very vulnerable in the cleaning process. This causes the process of cleaning the glass cannot be done carelessly. To overcome these problems, one of them is to replace the work done by humans with machines or robots. The glass cleaning robot was created as a glass cleaner replacing the conventional workforce. One of the most important elements in the operation of glass cleaner robots is the robot glass distance control system against glass edges using proximity sensors. At a distance of 35 cm, the proximity sensor will send a signal back to the microcontroller and forwarded to the input dc motor so that the value changes rpm on the motor with pwm value of 205 each for the left motor and 150 for the right motor for 1 second so that The robot will turn clockwise. From the tested, gotten the response of distance control system based on the PWM value vs time. It shows that the system has a good response to listing programs that have been created. It does not have a research value different from the setting point and fast to achieve stable conditions. In the design of cleaning fluid monitoring system on glass cleaning robot used water level sensor. It used Bluetooth as a wireless system to display height of water in container cleaning fluid.

Abstract

Government spends a lot of money in infrastructure, including buildings. And it increases by years. Therefore, a research to formulate how to well manage our public building is needed. The method of this research is formulating Standard Building Assets Management which can be rationally implemented  in The Office of Public Works Highway in Jember. It should be based on the theory of asset management, the ministrial regulations and best practise guideline of Queensland government building. The results of this study is the cycle of building asset management. These are Planning, Procurement, Administration (Registration and Sertification of assets), Management in Use (Assesment, Operation and Maintenance) and Disposal.

Abstract

Pembangunan infrastruktur Pemukiman menjadi prioritas utama pemerintahan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat akan hunian tetap. Disisi lain dampak sosial ekonomi banyak diperoleh misalnya membuka lapangan kerja dan membuka kesempatan bertumbuhnya UKM. Surabaya  memiliki perkembangan aktivitas Ekonomi dan Pemukiman yang pesat sehingga membutuhkan percepatan dalam pemenuhan prasarana dan sarana infrastruktur kota. Rencana ini dipertimbangkan atas dasar kebutuhan akan pentingnya peningkatan kapasitas pemukiman yang bisa ditawarkan kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk vertikal housing. Penelitian dilakukan pada Kelurahan Kejawan Putih Tambak khususnya sebelah Utara yakni yang berada di RT 01 dan 02.  Tujuan penelitian mengukur sejauh mana dampak sosial ekonomi pada masyarakat yang berada di Kampung Kejawan Putih Tambak sebagai akibat dari pembangunan perumahan Pakuwon City. Kesimpulan penelitian, Kelurahan Kejawan Putih Tambak rt01,dan 02, RW 01 telah menjadi sebuah pemukiman kampung asal mula pembangunan Pakuwon City yang dijadikan domisili karyawan Pakuwon City. Sejumlah (95%) responden mengatakan bahwa suasana kehidupan lingkungan yang bertambah ramai dan menyenangkan karena perekonomian masyarakat sekitar kawasan ini bertambah baik serta Pembangunan perumahan menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan pada mata pencaharian masyarakat yang semula sebagai petani tambak menjadi pekerjaan di bidang wiraswasta dan Jasa. Ketenagakerjaan, Ada 10 (16%) responden menjadi karyawan tetap di Perumahan Pakuwon City, ada 7 (11%) responden sebagai karyawan harian lepas (tidak tetap), dan ada 14 (23%) responden menjadi Wiraswasta di Fastifal Food,  ada 29 (48%) responden adalah bermata pencaharian swasta.

Abstract

Dalam penentuan deliverabilitas suatu sumur gas, dilakukan pengujian terhadap sumur tersebut (multipoint test). Ada 3 metode multipoint test untuk mendapatkan harga Absolute Open Flow Potential (AOFP) yaitu Back Pressure, Isochronal Test, dan Modified Isochronal Test. Untuk mengetahui kemampuan sumur "TY-07” digunakan uji deliverabilitas jenis Modified Isochronal Test. Uji deliverabilitas terdiri dari 4 laju alir gas yang berlangsung selama 4 jam dengan ukuran choke yang berbeda. Dalam penentuan laju produksi digunakan harga rate sebesar 30 % dari AOFP, sedangkan penentuan deliverabilitas menggunakan metode konvensional dengan pendekatan tekanan ΔP2 untuk menganalisa deliverabilitas terhadap tekanan reservoir < 2000 psia. Analisa uji deliverabilitas pada sumur "TY-07” Lapangan KAG dilakukan dengan memplot antara log ΔP2 terhadap log qsc dan menghasilkan harga n dan C, masing-masing sebesar 1 dan 2, 677 x 10-7 MMSCFD/Psi2. Sedangkan nilai AOFP dengan metode konvensional yaitu 5,531 MMSCFD dengan rate produksi optimum ditinjau dari kurva tubing intake untuk ukuran tubing 2,992 inch dan 3,958 inch masing-masing sebesar 2,3 MMSCFD dan 2,7 MMSCFD.

Abstract

A high solid loading concentration of solid-liquid mixing was investigated to observe the effect of ratio C, Clearance, and T, diameter tank, with C/T 0.33; C/T 0.25 and C/T 0.17 on local volume of hydrodynamic and spatial distribution of polydisperse solid suspension using CFD, Computational Fluid Dynamics. The 45o pitch blade turbine, diameter 0.5T, with down pumping flow simulation was used to remove solid particle from bottom of the tank. The tank is also equipped with four baffle with the size of 0.1T.. A solid-liquid mixing consists of five fractions of glass beads with equal proportion (X1=X2=X3=X4=X5=0.2X) have 40% wt total solid concentration with liquid fraction is aqueous solution of NaCl. The effect of ratio C/T at impeller speed 612 rpm create a flow pattern in the tank different. Effect ratio C / T also indicated the distribution on solid had a good uniformity index when N≥ Njs, just suspended speed. The highest uniformity was obtained on C/T 0.17. it also made difference power consumption on each geometry with C/T 0.17, 0.25, and 0.33 respectively are 251.18, 238.13, and 270.65watt.

Abstract

Development of road facilities and infrastructure in order to meet the need to improve the welfare of the community. Contract of project activity is carried out to bind both parties in this case, Owner and contractor as an interested party has the purpose to bind the rights and responsibilities in completing project activities. Performance based contracts are the innovative contracts presented by the Indonesian government to improve the quality of construction of road construction. The risk of applying this type of contract will be investigated so that it will be known to the highest risk, given the performance based contract has 4  stages such as design, build, operate, and maintenance. The project that implements the performance based contract under study is the Bojonegoro-Padangan road project, East Java.  In the process of knowing the highest risk variable that occurs in the implementation, the researcher uses a simple probabilistic concept to determine the highest risk of each stage of a performance based contract. The correspondent of the contractor is PT Pembangunan Pembangunan (Persero) Tbk - PT Basuki Rahmanta Putra (Joint Operational) on the road construction project Bojonegoro – Padangan, East Java. The results obtained from this study from the implementation of performance-based contracts on the Bojonegoro-Padangan road construction project with the highest risk event gain is at the Design stage: Project budget. Build Stage: The vendor's offer price is higher than estimated. Operate Phase: Cashflow delay. Maintenance Stage: Short-term focus fails to minimize long-term costs.

Abstract

Test of Teaching English of Foreign Language or TEFL is one of the scourges for students who must take this test for their graduation term. Many of them got a lack of motivation to learn, especially engineering students. Reading comprehension is one of the tests in TEFL test. However, many students failed in this section because they did not understand the text well and they had less of vocabulary. The students needed a mobile application which able to bring everywhere and they could learn the material and do the exercise anytime. Mobile application based on Android platform is the answer to help the students. In this application the students would learn the material of reading comprehension and do the exercise which divided into 3 levels; from the easier to the hardest.

Abstract

Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern is design pattern that is suitable for interactive systems. MVC is adapted in desktop and web-based applications. Moreover, many frameworks are adapting MVC pattern. Each layer of MVC has a different function. The main function of the model layer is query to the database system that represented by SQL language. In software development, code duplication or code clone is a serious problem because it will impact on the maintenance process. Associated with model layer and code clone, clone detection approach that exists today is not effective to detect clones in the model layer represented by SQL language, because the definition of code clone is not suitable for SQL clone.  SQL is declarative language that is different from the common programming language like C and Java. So, the definition of code clone must be adjusted with characteristic of SQL. In this research, we investigate the existence of SQL clone on MVC-based application and define the types of SQL clone. We define four types of SQL clone and they are confirmed exist in MVC-based application datasets that used in this research

Abstract

Similarity calculation between Business Process Models (BPM) has an important role in the process of managing BPM repository. One of its uses is to facilitate the searching process of a model in the repository. Similarity calculation between business processes is closely related with semantic string similarity. Semantic string similarity is usually performed by utilizing a lexical database, such as WordNet, to find the semantic meaning of words. The problem in WordNet is that this lexical database contains terms wich have more than one meaning or polysemous. Selecting the wrong meaning will  decrease the accuracy of similarity calculation process. In this study, we will try to improve the accuracy of similarity calculation of business processes using Word Sense Disambiguation (WSD). The main purpose is to eliminate the ambiguity of polysemous words before calculating the similarity value. WSD is performed by unsupervised methods based on the value of graph connectivity. Then, we used a lexical database that is focused in the business and industry field. The results from this study is able to achieve higher accuracy of the sense selection process for terms especially terms that are related to business and industrial domains. It will also increase the accuracy of similarity value calculation between the business process models.
