Abstract

Surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia, which has many problems. Urban density is a major issue which has problems in it, starting from the population density up to the limitations of burial grounds that exist today. Design problem which arises is uniting the facility of funeral homes, crematoriums, and tombs in one area to reduce the mobilization on the road resulting in traffic density. Urban density has resulted in a couple of problems ranging from population density to scarcity of lands. Crematorium and vertical burial therefore become a crucial part of a city. While there has been less open green spaces, crematorium and vertical burial are expected not to reduce the open green spaces. Data scape as a design method is used to obtain design criteria for preliminary design. To obtain a form of structure, combination with the multiple addition geometry method is attempted. A design obtained by making vertical buriel footprint design that is able to provide sufficient absorption area by taking into account the percentage of urban open green space. To create a open green space and water absorption areas by lifting some mass of the building.

Abstract

Terinspirasi dari sulitnya limbah aluminium terdegradasi dan tidak bisa diuraikan oleh proses biologi di lingkungan, maka limbah aluminium yang sudah terbuang seperti kaleng bekas, aluminium foil pembungkus makanan dan minuman bahkan tidak sedikit limbah laboratorium berpotensi untuk dimanfaatkan kembali. Pada penelitian ini, limbah aluminium diekstrak menggunakan kalium hidroksida (KOH) dalam kadar dan jumlah tertentu, kemudian direaksikan dengan asam sulfat (H2SO4) dalam kadar dan jumlah tertentu pula. Proses itu menghasilkan kalium aluminium sulfat yang berpotensi sebagai koagulan untuk menjernihkan limbah cair dan air keruh. Kandungan aluminium yang berhasil diperoleh berkisar antara 2,33% dan 24,07%, dengan rendemen hasil 81,12% sampai 97,95%.

Abstract

Gasoil merupakan minyak yang digunakan sebagai bahan bakar diesel, terutama distilat minyak bumi menengah direntang didih dan viskositas antara minyak tanah dan minyak pelumas. Menurut American Standart for Testing and Material (ASTM), uji sifat fisika minyak bumi diperlukan untuk mendapatkan data dalam menangani pengangkutan, penyimpanan, penimbunan, pengolahan dan pemasaran. Parameter pengujian sifat fisika, yaitu specific gravity at 60/60 ˚F dengan metode ASTMD.4052, titik tuang (pour point) dengan metode ASTMD.97, kekentalan atau viscosity diuji dengan metode ASTMD.445-11a didapat viscosity at 100 ˚F, viscosity at 122 ˚F, viscosity at 140 ˚F, flash point dengan metode ASTMD.93, Aniline point dengan metode ASTMD.611, untuk menentukan warna dalam fraksi perlu digunakan ASTM Colour dengan metode ASTMD.1500. hasil pengujian yang didapatkan specific gravity at 60/60 ˚F sampel 168 termasuk klasifikasi heavy crude oil, sampel 288 termasuk dalam klasifikasi light crude oil dan sampel 462 termasuk dalam klasifikasi medium crude oil.

Abstract

In this paper, fuzzy disturbance observer with neuro-fuzzy invers model is proposed to control speed of parallel hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) with change in disturbance. Disturbance make unstable speed so that actual speed of PHEV is not equal to reference speed. Fuzzy disturbance observer is used to make actual speed of PHEV is equal to reference speed when disturbance applied on it. The result show that fuzzy disturbance observer can reject the disturbance so that so its speed has more stable .

Abstract

The traditional house is able to adapt the climate around them and it can reduce the burden of energy use to adjust the comfort of occupants. The development pattern of occupants’ activity adjusts to a modern life that indirectly affects the function and condition of the building. This gives rise to a new phenomenon, whether development sheath openings in buildings can still meet the needs of lighting for the activity of the occupants. This research was conducted with the aim to clarify and identify the deployment sheath openings in buildings on the performance of natural lighting in Betang House. The method experiment with the help simulation is used to find a causal relationship from deployment sheath openings in Betang House building performance against natural lighting. The experiment is conducted with the simulation using Autodesk Ecotect Analysis 2011. The final result of the research indicates deployment openings in the façade have natural lighting performance that already meet the standards of the lighting for the activity. Deployment openings with the addition of extents openings could increase illuminantion and daylight factor space by 10% and 14%, but the value of the resulting illuminantion uniformity is not too high. The addition of height can increase the value of daylight factor of 13%. The ratio of lighting uniformity additional height opening is higher, but that resulted being lower illuminantion 0.3%. Rumbak tahansengan deployment at facade can improve the ratio of the lighting uniformity for activity up to 9.6%.

Abstract

Dalam konstruksi pembangunan, Indonesia merupakan negara berkembang yang memiliki tingkat kefatalan kecelakaan kerja yang tinggi menurut International Labour Organization (ILO). Hal ini dikarenakan banyaknya pekerja dalam suatu proyek sehingga membutuhkan manajemen keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (SMK3) yang baik. Namun, masih banyak perusahaan yang tidak menerapkan SMK3 bahkan termasuk proyek-proyek konstruksi yang berada di kota-kota besar. Hal ini didasari akan keinginan perusahaan dalam memperoleh profit yang tinggi sehingga mengabaikan keselamatan dan kesehatan pekerja. Dengan sistem manajemen K3 yang baik, setidaknya akan mencegah atau mengurangi risiko kecelakaan kerja yang ada. Program sistem manajemen K3 diawali dengan mencari potensi bahaya dari metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan agar dapat mengidentifikasi risiko yang ada, penilaian risiko dengan skala prioritas dan pengendalian bahaya yang harus dilaksanakan dimana pengendalian bahaya tersebut akan dilengkapi dengan program sosialisasi dan pelatihan K3. Dengan demikian, pekerja dapat bekerja dengan baik dan aman sehingga dapat mencapai target waktu dan target kualitas yang diinginkan dan direncanakan. Studi kasus yang diambil adalah struktur bangunan atas pada proyek Hotel Swiss-Belinn Juanda yang memiliki total 8 lantai dengan batasan pekerjaan bangunan atas, yaitu pekerjaan pembesian, bekisting, pengecoran. Dari sistem manajemen K3 yang direncanakan tersebut diperoleh biaya pengendalian risiko sejumlah Rp 310.266.500,00 yang dapat menjadi acuan dalam menekan angka kecelakaan.

Abstract

Biaya kebutuhan bahan bakar di kapal merupakan komponen yang tertinggi dalam pengoperasian kapal. Salah satu upaya untuk mengurangi biaya kebutuhan bahan bakar ini adalah dengan menggunakan alternatif bahan bakar gas. Selain itu dapat menghemat biaya operasional kapal, penggunaan gas sebagai bahan bakar juga dapat mengurangi emisi kapal. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengggunaan gas bumi menjadi bahan bakar di kapal dengan cara modifikasi sistem untuk fuel system kemudian menentukan lokasi bunkering LNG dan skema pengisian bahan bakar (bunkering) LNG. Analisis penentuan lokasi bunkering dilakukan dengan metode Greedy Random Search untuk mencoba semua alternatif dari semua variabel kemungkinan (possible variable). Hasil dari modifikasi adalah dengan menambahkan gas transfer dari replace menuju ke main engine meliputi LNG Replace, LNG Cryogenic Pump, Heat Exchanger, Gas Valve Unit (GVU), dan Conversion System. Pemilihan skema bunkering menggunakan pembobotan dengan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Alternatif lokasi bunkering yang terpilih adalah di pelabuhan Merak, Pelabuhan Ketapang Pelabuhan Lembar, Pelabuhan di Makassar, Pelabuhan di Surabaya, Pelabuhan di Sorong, Pelabuhan di Ambon, Pelabuhan di Semarang, Pelabuhan di Jakarta, dan Pelabuhan di Jayapura. Skema bunkering LNG yang dipakai pada setiap pelabuhan adalah Truck to Ship, sesuai dengan opsi yang terpilih

Abstract

As the online media dissemination, website has the advantages that it can be accessed freely, without limits, wherever, whoever, and whenever. However, the advantages of the website is sometimes not in line with its simplicity. So it becomes important that the organization can make an assessment of the quality of the website that they are used, whether its website has fulfilled what is perceived by the user. This paper reviews studies user perception of desktop and mobile service website used qualitative methods adapted to WebQual and User Experience approach. The expected outcome of this research is knowing the user's perception of the services and information available on the website along with the possibility of desktop and mobile gap arising from differences in the two services.

Abstract

Aluminum alloy Al-7Si is suitable for material of wheel rim of racing car, however its mechanical properties has not met the required standard JIS H5202, so it needs to be improved. Improving mechanical properties can be done by adding element alloys and heat treatment. This present research in concerning with Al-TiB enhancement into the Al-7Si aluminum alloy to increase the Titanium content of 0.13%w to 0.14%w, 0.15%w, 0.16%w until 0.21%w. Therefore, these samples were treated by heat treatment T5. The Addition of Al-TiB caused the micro structure of the grain become smaller and softer, and also increases the mechanical properties (UTS and Hardness), but it has not met standard JIS H5202 yet. After heat treatment T5, the form of grain change from ellipse to circular, the mechanical properties improve significantly and beyond the standard JIS H5202.

Abstract

The visual quality of urban space represents the character of the city. Urban space should be able to deliver satisfying aesthetic and sensory experience. The visual quality of urban space formed by the visual signs representing an urban image and influencing the spatial behavior of every individual. A good urban space will encourage the emergence of good perception and meaning, prompting the community to produce a good reaction on its urban spaces. The involvement of public participation in the evaluation and assessment of the visual aesthetics of the urban image is needed to establish a good urban space. This paper investigates the rapid growth of restaurant in the commercial area corridor adjacent to the education campus area in Malang City. Both the location factor and consumers of college students has stimulated the growth of the variety building facade appearances and led to the dominance of contemporary architectural styles. In furtherance of bringing the visual quality of a good urban image, the study on aesthetic aspects is conducted to control the quality visual appearance of the building facade. This study combines the method of public preferences through the Semantic Differential Scales with the computational aesthetic methods through the applications of Interfaces Aesthetic Measurement (IAM) with 13 variables of aesthetic. The results of this study stated that the aesthetic value assessment of building facade restaurants in study area showed a positive value. Furthermore, the comparison of assessment values between the methods of public preferences with the computational aesthetics indicates similarities.
