Abstract

Control and operation of a microgrid can be operated at grid connected or islanded modes. In this paper, the microgrid consists of a Diesel, PV modules with a distributed energy storage system, loads, and inverter. The purpose of power management is to control the stability of the system to cope with changes in load and interconnection with other networks. The stability of the microgrid is also obtained by setting the load connected to the system. Power management is also controls the operation of each plant based on the condition of the energy sources used as a source of generation. In islanded mode, the main goal of power management is to stabilize the system, in terms of frequency and voltage. In grid connected mode, typical objectives are to minimize the price of energy import at the point of common coupling (PCC).

Abstract

Cultural heritage is a cultural richness of the nation as a manifestation of human life’s, thoughts and behaviors that are important for understanding the history as well as the science and culture of our ancestors. In East Java there are two cultural heritage areas have been selected by the government: Penanggungan (as of January 14, 2015) and Trowulan (as of December 30, 2013) as provincial and national cultural heritages, respectively. In this research, we built a geoportal data infrastructure for collecting, storing and visualizing the spatial distribution of cultural heritages in these two areas as one of the role in maintaining the preservation of cultural heritages. Based on our geoportal data, the location of cultural heritage located in the elevation ranged from 228 m- 1330 m (above sea level). The lowest cultural heritage was Situs Belahan and the highest one was  Temple of Kama I. Trowulan Site has 75 artifact findings. This indicated that the Trowulan Site area was a residential area. While in Penanggungan site, the heritage was dominated by cultural object in the form of temple (about 32 object). It might be an indicator that Penanggungan site was  a basis for ancient community worship rituals.

Abstract

The entire of land parcel in Indonesia is estimated 130million. Only about 45million land, parcels or not more than 35% of all is certified. Because of that, Government make a program called PTSL (Systematic Land Registration) to register land parcels within an area of villages. In this case, information is supporting the implementation of PTSL programme. The information formed of subject/object land parcels and with its boundary. Such information is created above the base map obtained from the process of aerial photoshoot using UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and the collection of information through the participation of the community (Pemetaan Partisipatif). Location of the research at Pojok Village, Sukoharjo Regency. This research produced a base map formed from process orthophoto, Land Information Maps (PIBT) from Pemetaan Partisipatif and evaluating about area tolerance (KL=±0,5√L) from field measurement and result digitasi. From the results is known the information of subject/object land parcels as well as total of rice field land parcels is 615 parcels (128,598ha) and yards land parcels is 1,443 parcels (69,378ha). This information is useful for the preparation of land registry. In evaluating areas, 39 sampel accepted in area tolerance KL=±0,5√L. So, PIBT considered becomes a Land Parcels Map (PBT).

Abstract

The aim of this research is to study proton transport in DMFC using chitosan/phosphotungstic acid (CS/PWA) composite membrane as Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM). Model of proton transport mechanism was proposed in order to investigate the proton transport rationality in CSPWA composite membrane, which is indicated by energy models. QM/MM dynamics method on the basis of CP2K code was used to calculate energy of the models. Results showed that the model of proton transport mechanism produced energy gradient. Interaction model of proton (H+ ion) and CS/PWA hydrated membrane has minimum QM/MM energy than the other models. The value of QM/MM energy of H+-CS/PWA hydrated is -312.717135970308 a.u

Abstract

Now,  procedures of design for the earthquake resistance of buildings and non-building structures SNI 1726: 2012 has been approved the procedures for seismic design for buildings SNI 1726-2002.  SNI 1726: 2012 refers to the development  of  modern seismic regulations are due to changes in tectonic plates located on the active track on the path of circum-Pacific and the Indian track - the Himalayas. With the enactment of the new  SNI earthquake,  namely SNI 1726: 2012, then all existing buildings and designed with old  SNI earthquake, that  is SNI - 1726-2002 should be evaluated against for the new regulations. Handling scheme for existing buildings should be made to determine and improve safety. Analysis and solutions are required to improve the safety of buildings. Retrofitting Seismic Isolation is one of  the effective and practical methode to increase safety of buildings against earthquakes, because  this methode can reduce the earthquake acceleration response. Retrofitting seismic isolation can not only improve the safety and functionality seismic, but also to maintain the original design. Without the need to demolish and rebuild the building, the building will remain intact. So that historic buildings and cultural heritage can still be preserved. The concept of base isolation is to decouple the upper structure from its foundation and inserting isolator which has a small horizontal stiffness. This techniques can reducing the seismic impact from the soil vibration which could be from seismic motion. This study will compare the ratio building safety for old structural design that uses SNI-1726-2002 (old) vs SNI 1726: 2012 (new). The results shows that retrofitting seismic isolation building have better performance in terms of ductility demand, natural period, and lower internal forces due to earthquake.
