Abstract

Since the COVID-19 pandemic spread in Indonesia, all educational units have implemented distance learning programs. Students are required to understand the material and submit assignments online. This results in the need for us to know students' difficulty levels and self-efficacy during online learning. Besides that, online learning makes measuring students' affective abilities difficult. One of the affective abilities that students need to have is self-efficacy. This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students. This type of research is quantitative research. The sample for this research was 60 elementary school students in Ayah District using expo facto research. This research uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques using a psychological scale. The analysis technique uses simple linear regression, and prerequisite tests have been previously carried out in the form of normality tests, linearity tests, and heteroscedasticity tests. Based on the research results, it can be seen that self-efficacy has a significant influence of 63.7% on mathematics learning outcomes. However, it is known that when face-to-face learning is limited, students have not fully mastered the material and subject matter studied previously.

Abstract

The challenges faced by students in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic when participating in online learning are essential things to consider. This research aims to reveal the limitations and obstacles they face in accessing and taking advantage of online education. Focusing on students' online learning experiences, this study seeks to identify barriers and offer recommendations for improvement. This research uses surveys at two different campus locations in Indonesia. The survey used an online questionnaire designed and reviewed by two researchers. This research focused on students aged 17 years and over. Initial data analysis includes the characterization of respondents based on age, gender, university, and significant using tables and graphs. Next, the researchers conducted descriptive analysis, calculated basic statistics, and categorized questions related to online learning. This research also examines the impact of campus location and its significant on student experiences. This study found that online learning did not meet expectations because technical and financial barriers prevented many students from accessing the Internet. These findings underscore the importance of providing affordable and easily accessible internet access and adequate devices for all students. The results of this research can guide education stakeholders in forming policies that enable students to engage in online learning effectively, especially during lockdowns and times of uncertainty caused by the pandemic.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the existence of a digital divide among accounting students in Indonesia despite the rapid growth of the digital economy in Southeast Asia. This research explores the relationship between the digital divide, seen through social factors, and the digital competence of accounting students. This research uses a quantitative approach, with the subjects being accounting students. Data was collected through a survey with a questionnaire distributed to 398 accounting students at various universities in Indonesia. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive tests and non-parametric tests. The research results show that social factors significantly influence students' digital access and competence. Younger students tend to have higher levels of digital competency. Family factors such as parental education, employment, and income significantly influence students' digital abilities. In addition, computer ownership by students and effective technology integration by lecturers also impact students' digital competence. In conclusion, the digital divide still exists among accounting students in Indonesia, which affects their digital competence. The implications of this research include the need for curriculum expansion and social interventions to overcome the digital divide among accounting students, ensuring their readiness to face the digital era.

Abstract

Spatial abilities are essential to individual life and development, but gender differences in these abilities, especially in multimedia learning, are of concern. This research aims to examine the influence of gender and type of multimedia on learning outcomes in Natural Sciences (IPA) while still controlling for the influence of spatial abilities. This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The research sample consisted of 164 students. Data were collected through multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) techniques using SPSS software. Data analysis was conducted using the MANCOVA technique to test the influence of the independent variables (gender and type of multimedia) on the dependent variable (science learning outcomes) by controlling spatial ability as a covariate. Spatial ability has an overall significant influence on science learning outcomes. Boys consistently performed better than girls in all learning tasks, regardless of multimedia type. Girls also tend to prefer 3D learning media to understand science concepts. This research provides empirical evidence about the separate gender effects of spatial ability when learning using 2D static learning multimedia and 3D animation. The implication is that educational policymakers can pay attention to differences in gender preferences when choosing multimedia learning types to increase the effectiveness of science learning.

Abstract

Students' academic abilities are not only influenced by students' innate abilities but are also influenced by the learning environment created by teachers. This research aims to test the validity of the teacher interpersonal behavior questionnaire designed by researchers and determine the role of each teacher's interpersonal components on cognitive and affective development and student morale. This research uses factorial design analysis to look at the role of teachers' interpersonal skills on students' cognitive, affective, and moral abilities. The participants involved in this research were 550 junior high school students. Data was collected using questionnaires to assess teachers' interpersonal skills, cognitive self-report, affective, and student moral assessment scales. Data analysis uses multiple regression and correlation analysis to see the correlation between these variables. The research results show that students' perceptions of teachers' interpersonal skills significantly correlate with learning outcomes in students' cognitive, affective, and moral domains. Apart from that, the questionnaire scale designed by the researcher meets the validity criteria because the questionnaire scale can explain what scales are positive and negative predictors of student learning outcomes in each domain. This research implies that teachers must display positive interpersonal behavior during the learning process or interaction with the class so that the learning process is more effective.
