Abstract

This paper examines a song criticizing the phenomenon that occurs in the body of the government of Indonesia nowadays. Lyric of a song ABC (Ada Banyak Cara) by Trio Bimbo that becomes the focus of study in this paper is interesting to be studied, considering the Trio Bimbo is famous musicians who focused on religious themes, voicing out his heart in criticizing the government.The discourse theory of Michel Foucault,in which his discourse of language is closely related to who is in power in the region, is used to analyze this song.The result founds that the discourse of language in the ABC song is representation the mercy of the people, in this case represented by Trio Bimbo sound, such as naikkan gaji sendiri, duduk sidang terus mimpi, jaksa hakim wiraswasta, and other discordant expressions that criticize the government. Trio Bimbo does not hesitate to cast his criticism of the government by voicing the discourse of language which is considered as a direct criticism, without the subtle innuendo. If this happens in the Orde Baru era, the discourse of language must be prohibited by the government, because they were in power at that time. However, after the fall of Orde Baru, resime people have the power to create their own linguistic discourse.

Abstract

Dewan Pengurus Cabang (DPC) Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDIP) Surabaya  is a local political partywhich succeeded in preserving its victory in the 2019 Legislative Election with the acquisition of 15 seats. This study aims to determine the political communication strategies used by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) during the 2019 elections. This study uses a qualitative approach with employing in-depth interview and observationmethods. The data obtained were analyzed through an interactive analysis model including data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. This research founds the PDI Perjuangan political communication model is more based on the transactional model. This communication model illustrates the ongoing communication process between the sender of the message (party and candidates) and the recipient of the message (community). Of course, during the campaign there were obstacles or disturbances, one of which was  money politics. As a consequence, the community should elects their candidates and parties during the 2019 Elections.DPC Partai Demokrasi Indonesia (PDI) Perjuangan Kota Surabaya merupakan politik lokal yang berhasil mempertahankan kemenangan di Pemilu Legislatif 2019 dengan perolehan 15 kursi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui stategi komunikasi politik yang dipakai PDI Perjuangan selama Pemilu 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode observasi  dan wawancara mendalam. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan model analisis interaktif meliputi reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Temuan penelitian ini adalah model komunikasi politik PDI Perjuangan lebih pada model transaksional. Model komunikasi ini menggambarkan proses komunikasi yang berlangsung secara berkesinambungan antara pengirim pesan (partai dan caleg) serta penerima pesan (masyarakat). Kendala uatam selama kampanye yaitu politik uang, sebagai umpan balik (feedback), masyarakat memilih caleg dan partai tersebut saat Pemilu 2019.

Abstract

Social studies have many variations because society is not a single object. Social change is a phenomenon of community construction that has a variety of variations. Development is a word used to describe processes and efforts to enhance economic, political, cultural, social, and so on. With such an understanding "development" is aligned with the word "social change." Along with development theory there are other social change theories such as socialism, dependensia, or other theories. Therefore, many people call developmental theory as developmentism. Thus such theories reject theories, such as the theory of community-based development, or even sustainable development and are alternatives to developmentism, but other variations of the ideology of developmentism.Kajian sosial memiliki macam variasi karena masyarakat bukanlah objek yang tunggal. Perubahan sosial merupakan fenomena konstruksi masyarakat yang memiliki ragam yang bervariasi. Pembangunan merupakan suatu kata yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan proses dan usaha untuk menimgkatkan kehidupan ekonomi, politik, budaya, sosial, dan sebagainya. Dengan pemahaman seperti itu “pembangunan” disejajarkan dengan kata “perubahan sosial”. Bersamaan dengan teori pembangunan terdapat teori-teori perubahan sosial lainnya seperti sosialisme, dependensia, ataupun teori lain. Oleh karena itu banyak orang menamakan teori pembangunan sebagai pembangunanisme (developmentalism). Dengan demikian teori-teori seperti ini menolak teori-teori, seperti teori pembangunan berbasis masyarakat, atau bahkan pembangunan berkelanjutan (sustainable development) dan merupakan alternatif dari pembangunanisme, melainkan variasi-variasi lain dari ideologi pembangunanisme.

Abstract

This thesis is aimed to analyze the peasant resistance against the iron sand mining that occurred in Kulon Progo. As its starting point, this study is based on the change in political attitude of peasants, who were initially against it turned into approving to the iron sand mining. Through an approach of James C. Scott’s “moral economy of peasant” and Samuel L. Popkin’s “political economy”, this research is reviewed in descriptive analysis of how the change in political attitude of peasants eventually happen. With that analysis, this study shows that the changes in political attitudes of peasants in response to the expansion of mining capitalism is nothing more than a political compromise by the peasants in response to the expansion of mining capitalism. What is actually going to be refused is the ways of investors / companies and countries in expansion which is capitalist bias, which only creates a farming community becomes eliminated to access the available resources.

Abstract

This research concern swith the role of Jaro capital at local political arena in Cileuksa village of Sukajaya District, West Jawa. The aim of this research is to understand the relationship between Jaro capital at local political arena, capital elaboration as foundation for vertical mobility and capital reproduction within local political arena. Using case study as its research method, this research finds that as cultural actor, Jaro or Jawara, has significant meaning in local political arena, namely cultural influence and formal authority. With regards to cultural influence, this study finds that Jaro’s presenceis essential for Cileuksa’s villagers. Furthermore, as the head of the village, Jaro holds formal structure authority to go vernits people. This research concludes that both cultural influence and formal authority were supported by maintained and reproduced capital in local political arena.Penelitian ini berfokus pada konsep modal Jaro di arena politik lokal di Desa Cileuksa, Kecamatan Sukajaya, Jawa Barat. Tujuan dari riset untuk mengetahui hubungan antara modal Jaro di arena politik lokal, elaborasi antara modal sebagai fondasi untuk mobiltas vertikal dan reproduksi modal di dalam arena politik lokal. Dengan menggunakan studi kasus sebagai metode kajian, riset ini bertujuan untuk menemukan aktor kultural, Jaro atau Jawara, yang memiliki makna yang signifikan dalam arena politik lokal, yang disebut dengan pengaruh kebudayaan dan otoritas formal. Dengan melihat adanya pengaruh kebudayaan, kajian ini menemukan bahwa peran Jaro sangat penting bagi masyarakat Desa Cileuksa. Selanjutnya, sebagai seo rang pemimpin di desa, Jaro mengendalikan struktur otoritas formal bagi masyarakat desa. Riset ini menemukan bahwa ada dua pengaruh budaya dan otoritas formal yang didukung oleh adanya pengendalian dan reproduksi modal di arena politik lokal.

This conflict consist many interests and there isn’t equity policy to society are following this conflict. The implication the agrarian conflict become latent conflict. It usually make huge damage in society and nation.

Abstract

 Land grabs and land tenure are one of the potential conflicts that often occur in the community. One of the conflicts that occurred was a case of land control over the former mine of PT. Antam Tbk. in the Sungai Enam sub-district began in 2005. Conflicts started from different meanings of land between PT. Antam Tbk. with the Sungai Enam community. This research was carried out to determine the dynamics of the conflict over the control of the former mining area of PT Antam Tbk. in the Sungai Enam sub-district, Bintan Timur, Bintan district. This research method uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observations and documentation studies selected as techniques in data collection. The results of the study show that the conflict that occurred was still in the phase of conflict over the perception of the land of the former PT Antam Tbk. mine between the official owner of PT Antam Tbk. and the community. The Flores people who currently occupy the land consider that the land belongs to God so that they have the right to occupy the land and make it a place to live and grow crops, this assumption is considered right because they can live for decades without any direct request from PT. Antam Tbk. hasn't moved them yet. While the PT. Antam Tbk. can only make a warning by making a notice in one corner of the land with the writing that the land belongs to PT Antam Tbk.Perebutan lahan dan penguasaan lahan merupakan salah satu potensi konflik yang sering terjadi di masyarakat.Salah satu konflik yang terjadi adalah kasus penguasaan lahan atas eks tambang PT Antam Tbk. di Kelurahan Sungai Enam dimulai sejak tahun 2005.Konflik bermula dari pemaknaan yang berbeda atas tanah antara PT Antam Tbk. dengan masyarakat Sungai Enam. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui dinamika konflik penguasaan lahan eks tambang PT Antam Tbk. di Kelurahan Sungai Enam Kecamatan Bintan Timur Kabupaten Bintan. Metode penenelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi serta studi dokumentasi dipilih sebagai teknik dalam pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konflik yang terjadi masih pada fase pertentangan atas persepsi lahan eks tambang PT Antam Tbk. antara pemilik resmi PT Antam Tbk. dengan masyarakat. Masyarakat Flores yang saat ini menempati lahan tersebut menganggap tanah tersebut milik Tuhan sehingga mereka berhak menempati lahan dan menjadikannya sebagai tempat tinggal dan bercocok tanam, anggapan ini dinilai benar karena mereka bisa hidup puluhan tahun ditanah tersebut tanpa adanya permintaan langsung dari PT Antam Tbk. untuk mereka pindah. Sedangkan pihak PT Antam Tbk. hanya bisa membuat peringatan dengan membuat pemberitahuan di salah satu sudut lahan dengan tulisan bahwa tanah tersebut milik PT Antam Tbk.

Abstract

Humans develop the science and technology that are material and immaterial, for survival in the face of the earth . Science and technology created systemic and functional. It evolved in the span of a long history of human life. However the nature, character, methods and ways of view together in one term called the paradigm. The dynamics of science and technology led to the emergence of various paradigms. In its development, there is always a dominant paradigm, which has a very strong inflence on the system of knowledge and practice in public life. Dominance paradigm determining the nature, character, methods, perspectives, and orientation as well as the expectation of life. Positivism paradigm dominates human life today, in the form of a system or ideology of modernism and the main instrument of industrialization. Modernism man as the central position of life in the universe. Human determine all aspects of life according to the needs, desires and ways of thinking. Science and technology was developed as a means of subduing and controlling the universe. As a result of ecological damage occur everywhere, and causes people to live in misery. Although man created science and technology to solve it. Ecological disaster is diffiult to overcome, as a result of errors paradigmatic. Strategic effort is necessary, with the reconstructed paradigm in science and technology system that has been developed and used by humans

Abstract

Muhammadiyah is one of the two biggest Islamic organizations in Indonesia. Since it was founded on November 18, 1912 in Yogjakarta by K.H. Ahmad Dahlan, Muhammadiyah is known as the Islamic missionary movement of 'Amar ma'ruf nahi munkar (invite to do good and prevent evil deeds) to broadcast Islamic teachings from a humanist point of view and return to the Al-Qur'an and Hadith. Because of this model, Muhammadiyah becomes less attractive for most Muslim community, due to the religious patterns of the Javanese people that are heavily influenced by Hindu and Buddhist traditions that are mixed within Islamic practices of Javanese Muslims. The purpose of this study is to determine the model of the Muhammadiyah religious da'wah movement in Sidoarjo Regency. By using a qualitative approach through ethnographic model, this paper aims to describe the conditions of the Muhammadiyah religious missionary movement. This research is limited to understand how the model of the Muhammadiyah religious da'wah movement at the Muhammadiyah regency and district branches in Sidoarjo Regency. The results show that the model of the religious da'wah movement of Muhammadiyah in the regency of Sidoarjo is originated come from a social movement, namely taking real actions to help the surrounding community. Muhammadiyah  merupakan salah satu dari dua organisasi Islam besar di Indonesia. Sejak didirikan pada 18 Nopember 1912 di Yogjakarta oleh K.H. Ahmad Dahlan Muhammadiyah dikenal dengan Gerakan dakwah Islam ‘Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Munkar (mengajak kepada kebaikan dan mencegah kemungkaran) untuk menyiarkan ajaran Islam dari sudut pandang yang humanis dan kembali kepada Al-Qur’an dan Hadits, karena model gerakan ini membuat Muhammadiyah kurang diminati oleh masyarakat muslim pada umumnya, disebabkan pola keagamaan masyarakat Jawa yang kental dengan tradisi-tradisi peninggalan Hindu dan Budha dikolaborasi dalam nilai-nilai kerohanian Islam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui model gerakan dakwah keagamaan Muhammadiyah di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif model etnografi, bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan kondisi gerakan dakwah keagamaan Muhammadiyah. Penelitian ini dibatasi pada bagaimana model gerakan dakwah keagamaan Muhammadiyah di tingkat ranting dan cabang Muhammadiyah di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Ternyata dari hasil penelitian bisa ditemukan model gerakan dakwah keagamaan Muhammadiyah di tingkat ranting dan Cabang berawal dari gerakan sosial, yaitu melakukan aksi-aksi nyata membantu masyarakat sekitar.
