Abstract

Risk management is a crucial aspect of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) implementation at PT X, which operates in the livestock sector. The implementation of risk management in this company remains limited and has not been effectively operationalized. This research aims to provide a foundational step and evaluation material to minimize workplace accidents. The method used in this study is HIRARC, which is effective and efficient in identifying potential hazards, conducting risk assessments, and controlling risks. PT X comprises several departments with both minor and major hazard potentials. This study focuses on the Milking Department, which is vital in milk production. The assessment was conducted by analyzing all existing processes and activities results show that low risk accounts for 75%, medium risk for 25%, and high risk for 0%. Risk control is implemented through a hierarchy of controls. The application of this hierarchy of controls can minimize the existing risk levels. Overall, the implementation of OHS at PT X has not been optimal and requires further improvements as a foundational step in OHS implementation and evaluation, as well as to meet the requirements for the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) development.

Abstract

Clean water is one of the primary needs for human survival to continue. The quality, quantity and continuity of water consumed by humans will play a major role in people's lives. This study used a cross-sectional design and the sample used in this study used total sampling. The total sample size was 30 respondents. Data were collected by questionnaire to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitude, and action of the community with the microbiological quality of borehole water. Samples of clean water and drinking water were taken to determine the microbiological quality of water. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Based on the results of the chi-square test, there was no relationship between knowledge and attitude with the microbiological quality of borehole water, and there was a relationship between action and microbiological quality of borehole water with a p-value of 0.001. Proper action in the management of borehole water could reduce the risk of microbiological pollution. These findings were expected to be the basis for efforts to improve the quality of clean water in the neighborhood around the landfill and provide useful information for the community and related parties in maintaining environmental health.

Abstract

The dengue virus is the cause of dengue hemorrhagic fever, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).Dengue fever is called “breakbone fever” (joint fever) because it causes severe pain as if a bone is broken. The purpose of this case-control observational study was to identify the DHF risk variables and distribution pattern. The sample size was 1:1 with 22 cases and 22 controls. Analysis of distribution patterns used average nearest neighbor and overlay. Risk factors and incidence were analyzed Chi-square is used for both univariate and bivariate analysis with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). With a p-value of 0.0<0.05, the findings indicated a correlation between the occurrence of DHF and the removal of mosquito nests. Furthermore, a p-value of 0.01<0.05 indicated a correlation between the incidence of DHF and the gauze installation. The pattern of population distribution is seen from the distribution pattern, population density comparison, and buffering. The abstract will be revised to include a brief explanation about dengue fever control efforts, such as the 3M Plus mosquito nest eradication (PSN) activities and the installation of gauze on ventilation, which were analyzed as part of the study variables influencing DHF incidence.

Abstract

Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) are beneficial in improving patient care management in healthcare facilities. RSUD dr. Rehatta, Central Java Province, has implemented EMRs since 2023, but no evaluation has yet been conducted regarding nurses' satisfaction with their utilization. This study is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research design is a case study, and data were collected through in-depth interviews with seven informants. The content dimension was rated as less satisfactory due to the complexity of the anamnesis module. The accuracy dimension did not fully meet user expectations. The format dimension was also rated as suboptimal due to inefficiencies. The timeline dimension was considered good, while the ease of use dimension was rated positively, as data entry was deemed simple. The implementation of the Inova system in the outpatient clinic of RSUD dr. Rehatta has shown benefits, but some user complaints remain. Immediate improvement strategies include simplifying content, reducing information delivery delays, and enhancing system usability.

Abstract

Cadmium (Cd) in surface water is classified as one of the pollutants that can lead to contamination of the aquatic ecosystem. Cadmium can originate from industrial waste, agriculture, and other human activities. Mangunharjo Beach is a mangrove vegetation area located in Mangunharjo Village, Tugu District, Semarang City, Central Java. Mangrove plants can absorb heavy metals present in the water. The purpose of this research is to determine the content of Cd heavy metal in the water and its contamination of mangrove plants. The type of research in this study is observational. The samples used are seawater and mangrove plant leaves taken from three sampling points in the Mangunharjo Mangrove Coast area. Salinity measurement is done using a salinity meter, while cadmium measurement is done using ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma – Optical Emission Spectrometry). The research findings indicate that the highest concentrations of heavy metal cadmium in seawater and mangrove leaf tissues from the Mangunharjo waters are 0328 mg/l and 0197 ppm. The salinity level of the water does not affect the concentration of cadmium (Cd) in both seawater and mangrove plants. However, the high concentration of cadmium (Cd) in seawater does impact the cadmium content in mangrove plants. The cadmium (Cd) content in the seawater in the Mangharjo coastal area has exceeded the quality standard set by Government Regulation of Republic Indonesia No. 22 of 2021, which is 0,002 mg/l. Efforts are needed to conserve the local mangrove area in order to reduce coastal erosion and minimize the risk of tidal flooding in Mangunharjo Village.

Abstract

RSD K.R.M.T. Wongsonegoro has implemented a Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) named SIWONGSO. Survey results indicate that patient blood type and ID number fields are often left unfilled in the system. Incomplete patient data may disrupt the filing process. The objective of this study was to evaluate the Hospital Management Information System at the Outpatient Registration of RSD K.R.M.T. Wongsonegoro using the HOT-FIT method. This research is descriptive and quantitative, with data collection through the HOT-FIT questionnaire. The study subjects were six outpatient registration officers at RSD K.R.M.T. Wongsonegoro, and the object of observation was the SIMRS display, technology, users, and organization within the Outpatient Registration section. The results showed that the outpatient registration data in SIMRS were generally complete. However, the layout size was insufficient, leading to an increased risk of data entry errors, and some patient ID numbers were incomplete. The technology component scored 4.26, indicating good performance; the human component scored 4.29, also rated as good; and the organizational component scored 4.16, which is also considered good. It is recommended that the hospital regularly evaluate the SIMRS implementation and provide training for the staff to improve their performance.

Abstract

The lack of a decision support system for the Tuberculosis or TB Program implemented in the Sukoharjo Regency Office has resulted in a gap or mismatch between the estimated number of TBC cases and the discovery of TBC cases in the field so that the decisions taken so far are only based on the discovery of existing TBC cases. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the use of SPK-TB in supporting the village-based Tuberculosis Suspect Screening Program. The research method used the Mix-method method which combines qualitative and quantitative research types. The research subjects consisted of 12 TBC information system users at the public health center and the Health Office. The results showed that the system that had been developed and tested at each user level, especially the head of the health centre, was well accepted and used as intended. This shows that system acceptance before and after testing with the TAM method has increased the average value. It is recommended that this SPK-TB be implemented immediately so that the effectiveness and efficiency of the performance of TBC officers and the Health Office can be known.
