Abstract

The problem that we often encounter in the workplace is work accidents. It is fatal in work and frequently ignored by workers and company owners, especially small and medium enterprises. This study focuses on reducing the risk of work accidents through a participatory ergonomic approach. This method is a method in which all elements involved in the scope of work are invited to work together to solve existing problems. The result shows that the risk of MSDs is dangerous to the musculoskeletal system as the work posture resulted in a significant effect of tension. The physical work environment is not under existing standards. Lack of lighting can be fatal to workers, while too hot temperatures can affect worker comfort. The results of participatory ergonomics show that 85% of workers want a change in the physical work environment. The number of work accidents in batik centers after using a participatory ergonomic approach decreased and could increase work productivity by 11%.

Abstract

Strengthening regional competitiveness as a derivative of strengthening national competitiveness encourages every region in Indonesia to design a regional innovation system (SIDa), including Cianjur Regency. One of the activity programs at SIDa that have been carried out in 2019 is an innovation competition. Based on the evaluation of the innovation competition activities, it is known that the level of community participation is still very low. This indicates that the level of innovation enthusiasm is still low in the Cianjur community. This study aims to formulate a conceptual model between the factors of attitude towards innovation and knowledge awareness of the innovation enthusiasm of the people of Cianjur Regency. The research was carried out by conducting a literature review based on related previous studies. In this study, operationalization variables and item indicators were also carried out, as well as testing the reliability and validity of the measurement scale using initial data. The results of this study are in the form of a conceptual model that links attitudes towards innovation and awareness of knowledge towards innovation enthusiasm along with the level of reliability and validity of the measurements.

Abstract

A large company or industry must be able to overcome and resolve any problems that are being faced or in the future. Given that quality is the main thing that will measure the success of a company. One of the methods used in quality control is Statistical Process Control (SPC). The method to be used for this study is the study of literature. The method used is to review the 2016-2020 research papers that consistently apply the SPC method and have been published. The literature review process in this study combines published and relevant literature meta-analyses to provide some evidence of the effect of the existence of the implementation of the SPC method with several classifications. The classification includes the growth of research publications in the manufacturing sector and other sectors. The results of research literature that have been published from 2015 - 2020 is this research is useful as a basis for developing knowledge, gaps in views, providing evidence of effects, and if done well, has the capacity to be applied as further research ideas. An objective application of the SPC method can result in the elimination of waste as reduce defect and increasing quality and improving process. Subjective application of the SPC method requires high process commitment because the SPC method implements must be carried out continuously.

Abstract

XYZ is a company engaged in the paper industry, which is located in West Java. Since established in 1976, this company has produced photocopy paper in the form of reams. This company has advantages in terms of paper quality so that its products dominate the international market and the domestic market. With a very tight level of market competition, companies must continue to work optimally to continuously improve employee performance and company productivity. The purpose of this study is to plan an incentive-based employee wage system, which is suitable and in accordance with company conditions. Incentive wages are important as one of the main components to increase and maintain motivation, performance and work integrity. This research was conducted in the Finishing Department of the copy manual wrapping work unit. The method used are the Piecework method, the Halsey method, and the Rowan method. The result of this research is a comparison of the amount of wages between the wage system used by the company and the three methods of incentive pay as a company alternative. From the comparison of the three incentive wage design methods, the authors recommend the Halsey method as the best method that is able to provide benefits for both the company and for workers which we call dual mutualism. The Halsey method still guarantees a basic wage and a decent incentive wage for workers as a motivation to work faster and better.

Abstract

Surabraja food trading company produces chili sauce and soy sauce. In July 2019, this company suffered a loss due to the number of broken bottles in the bottle washing process amounting to IDR 29,597,400. This study will identify the causes of defects using the six sigma method. Based on the define, measure, and analyze stages, it was found that the main causes of broken bottle defects were the temperature setting that was too hot and the engine speed that was not optimal. The repair process uses the taguchi experiment by determining the temperature and speed settings. The results of the Taguchi experiment showed that the best selected setting dosage formulations and their levels were A1 and AB2 where A1 (temperature 140°C), and AB2 (speed 10,000 bph). Based on a confirmation experiment with a temperature setting of 140°C, and a speed setting of 10,000 bpd, it was carried out using 48,000 bottles with 5 experiments, and a defect of 505 bottles was obtained. The results of the study concluded that the best results, namely at a temperature of 140°C and a speed of 10,000 bpd, can reduce the defect rate from 780 bottles to 505 bottles per day, and the value of the company's losses from IDR 466,429, - to IDR 301,900, -.

Abstract

Sustainable procurement is developing among practitioners and academics, but not many have done this research with the object of higher education institutions. This study succeeded in obtaining twelve indicators of sustainable procurement in higher education in Indonesia. The interpretive structural modeling method is used to model these indicators so that a four-level model is obtained, where the first level consists of seven indicators, the second level is one indicator, the third level is two indicators, and the fourth level is two indicators. In addition, the twelve indicators were also grouped using MICMAC analysis into four quadrants. Eight indicators are included in the autonomous indicators quadrant, four indicators are included in the independent indicators quadrant. Nothing is included in the dependent indicators and linkage indicators quadrant. This study proposes to the management of higher education to improve the performance of sustainable procurement, starting from level four indicators, namely the existence of routine monitoring and sustainability criteria (P12) and there is awareness of sustainable procurement on campus internals (P2).
