Abstract

Da’wah is an obligation for followers of Islam, whose purpose is to spread the teachings of Islam and build an Islamic society. Da''wah, Tabligh, Taghyir, amar ma''ruf nahi munkar, and morals—even the Qur''an says that the best ummah is to do ''amar ma''ruf nahi munkar. Even the Qur''an lists the ethics of da''wah contained in Surah An-Nahal verse 125, which starts from bil-hikmah, mau''izho hasanah, and wajadilhu billati hiya ahsan. In delivering dawah, someone needs a pattern of da''wah in his delivery, including Ulama, and the Ulama referred to here are Ulama from among Sufis, where we know the first preachers who preached in Indonesia were mostly from among Sufi Ulama and had an influence on the entry of Islam into Indonesia by peaceful means. So researchers get some problems about how the pattern of da''wah in Barus which became the location of the first time this Sufi Ulama spread Islam in Indonesia, as we know, the pattern of da''wah of Sufi Ulama is the basic pillar of spreading Islam without violence, running peacefully. This research is focused on the historical study of the History of the Development of Da''wah in Sufi Ulema. Spreading Islam in Barus requires a historical approach.he method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach and library research, namely problem-solving procedures that are investigated by describing the state of the subject or object in the study, which can be people, institutions, society, and others who are currently based on facts that appear or as they are, and collecting data on a number of works of other figures and writers related to the topic of discussion. Da''wah is a definite part of the lives of religious people. In the teachings of Islam, it is an obligation imposed by the religion on its adherents, both those who have embraced it and those who have not. Thus, da''wah does not merely arise from individuals or groups, although at least there must be a group that does it. In delivering da''wah, the Prophet, on the one hand, faced very severe challenges but, on the other hand, found a positive response from various circles, especially weak people.

Abstract

The Datok Laksamana Institute for Typical Malay Songket Weaving in Langkat Dusun V Plantation Village, Tanjung Pura Langkat District, has been revitalized since 1986 by the Government through training for development. Directional development explores local wisdom that has existed since the mulda of the Langkat sultanate around the 18th century. This type of qualitative descriptive research is a research method that utilizes qualitative data and is described in descriptive history. This type of qualitative descriptive research is often used to analyze events, phenomena, or situations socially. This type of qualitative descriptive research is a combination of descriptive and qualitative research. Qualitative descriptive research displays the results of the data as they are, without manipulation or other treatment. The institution empowers members of the local community, so Langkat's unique woven motifs have succeeded in identifying 144 beautiful woven motifs. These motifs are extracted from culture and natural raw materials with high artistic and philosophical values that have thrived in people's lives and are woven into woven motifs. This study of noble-valued weaving motifs is full of essential values and is a guide for the Langkat Malay community in carrying out noble life stages and tasks such as traditional wedding attire, respecting guests, circumcision events, and so on. Within the 144 motifs that are related to the meaning of a typical life value, there can be a model that is able to build a strong personality. In this study, three typical motifs will be discussed: teni grass, Diving duck, and Tepak Sirih. The meaning of the philosophy or value contained in each motif is different. The value of these motifs is very humane, so they remain relevant from time to time. The traditions of the people, with their natural environment interweaving traditions in various aspects of life, are fought for to be passed on to the next generation. The realization of the meaning of culture conveyed by Ki Hajar Dewantara is that culture requires values of struggle to be developed by an independent spirit. The struggle to preserve cultural values in the 21st century faces opportunities and challenges. Society is internally challenged by the arrival of a global culture with technology that enters the soul aspects of the young generation in an unlimited way. Opportunities are directed by the government to explore traditional values to be developed within the education system as a characteristic of the nation's character. Optimizing oneself to become a whole person with the uniqueness of each ethnicity to become a resilient world community is the ideal of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Indonesian people live in an environment full of diversity, both ethnic, linguistic, cultural and religious, spread from Sabang to Merauke. This diversity is shaded by the ideology of Pancasila and the motto Bhinneka Tunggal Ika which must be a guide for the community. However, currently threats that can divide the Republic of Indonesia amidst this diversity are still emerging, one of which is radicalism. Religious moderation is one method that is currently being advocated by many organizations and institutions to prevent the growth and development of radicalism. One of the organizations that develops religious moderation is the Ansor Gerakan Pemuda Ansor in Ciamis district as an effort to prevent radicalism. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques in this research are interviews, observation and documentation studies. Interviews were conducted with NU administrators, GP Ansor administrators, and GP Ansor cadres. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions and verification. The research results show that the implementation of religious moderation carried out by the Ciamis Regency Gerakan Pemuda Ansor  Organization has a culture and programs that are able to distance its cadres from radicalism. Some of the programs from this organization include cadre formation for prospective cadres to form loyalty to the organization, strengthen understanding of statehood and tolerance. Then uphold the principles of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia's fixed price, a culture of democratic and inclusive discussion, studies that do not only focus on religious issues, and maintaining good relations across organizations and across religions. This good program is also wrapped in a solid organizational culture for mutual development which implicitly is the realization of Sundanese philosophical values, namely silih asih, silih asih, and sililh asuh.

Abstract

Various forms of societal violence often target women, causing significant impacts on well-being and requiring substantial recovery efforts. This research aims to comprehensively explain the different forms of violence against women in Sentra Paramita Mataram. The study employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, enabling an in-depth exploration of experiences and perceptions of victims and a better understanding of the context of the violence. Primary subjects are women who have been victims of violence in Sentra Paramita Mataram, with social workers, psychologists, and nurses as informants. This approach allows for a thorough examination of the experiences and perceptions of victims, providing a nuanced understanding of the dynamics of violence against women in this specific setting. Data collection methods include in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis process involves presenting data, reducing data, verifying information, and drawing conclusions. Study findings reveal that the most prevalent form of violence against women in Sentra Paramita Mataram is physical violence, including actions such as causing injuries, physical assaults, torture, and rape. Non-physical incidents of violence against women, such as verbal abuse, harassment, involvement in commercial sex work, and neglect, also receive attention. Both physically and non-physically experienced violence compels victims to seek immediate assistance at Sentra Paramita Mataram, underscoring the urgent role of the center as a support and protection hub for victims. This research contributes to a profound understanding of the dynamics of violence against women in this environment and lays the groundwork for more effective intervention and prevention measures.

Abstract

The Bagurau Saluang Dendang performance referred to in this research is the Bagurau Saluang Dendang performance at the Lapiak Gurau event, literally meaning 'joking on a mat', which usually occurs in many coffee shops in Tanah Datar Regency. This show is an entertainment show. This thesis aims to analyse the changes that occur in the Lapiak Gurau Saluang Dendang (TLGSD) tradition performance today. This performance is usually performed at night, from 20.00 WIB until dawn. The accompanying instrument for singing in this performance is usually only the saluang musical instrument. Meanwhile, the singers are only men. This is because traditional rules prohibit the participation of women in bagurau art. In the early 2000s, changes began to occur. In fact, nowadays, TLGSD performances are held from 22.00 WIB until just before dawn. The cast in TLGSD currently numbers ten people, with details: one saluang player, one keyboard player, one Janang, four singing children, and three singing parents. Changes in the mindset of the Minangkabau people in the last three or four decades have had an impact on the orientation of TLGSD performances. The changes in question predominantly occurred in aspects of the procedures for performing lapiak gurau, including traditional norms for female singers, the choice of ensemble format used as accompaniment to the song, and the text of the pantun. The method used in this research is a qualitative-descriptive method using an ethnographic perspective. The results of this research show that the tradition of lapiak gurau saluang dendang has undergone changes: (i) the choice of instruments to accompany the dang that is popular with audiences is now more modern; (ii) the majority of singers currently in demand as singers are women; (iii) weakening the role of the ninik mamak as traditional elders who are supposed to protect the dignity of Minangkabau women. However, TLGSD is now contributing to increasing the financial income of stall owners.

Abstract

Social media has become an integral part of everyday life, opening up unprecedented opportunities for communication, collaboration and information exchange. However, with the freedom offered by these platforms also comes the great responsibility to use them wisely and in accordance with applicableregulations. This research aims to explore wise practices in the use of social media and their impact on individuals and society. Through a qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews and observations of various social media users. The research results show that awareness of privacy, diversity ofopinions, control of posted information, and openness to other people's perspectives are important factors in using social media wisely. Apart from that, this researchalso identifies the challenges and obstacles faced in efforts to make social media a positive communication tool. These findings provide valuable insights forindividuals, institutions, and regulators to develop policies and practices that promote responsible and ethical use of social media. . From the research results, itappears that social media users have varying levels of awareness of the terms of use, but compliance with these rules can vary depending on factors such aspeer pressure, the complexity of the rules, and the influence of the social and cultural environment. Challenges in practicing wise use of social media are alsoapparent, ranging from the pressure to maintain a perfect image to the  difficulty in distinguishing between valid information and hoaxes. In addition, the positive impacts of social media, such as social connectivity and access to information, are also accompanied by negative risks, including the spread of hoaxes and mental stress. The influence of the social and cultural environment on social media usage practices reinforces the importance of taking into account an individual's social and cultural context in developing appropriate approaches to managing risks and maximizing the benefits of social media. In this context, awareness of the positive and negative impacts of social media is key to helping individuals and society develop more responsible and ethical practices in the use of these platforms. A holistic approach is needed that combines education, social support, and supportive policies to create a healthy and productive onlineenvironment for all users
