Abstract

This study aims to develop mathematics learning media with a STEM approach to linear program material that is valid, practical, and has a potential effect on student responses. This development research uses a research design that is a design research development study type. The research subjects were students of class XI MIPA 5 at SMA Negeri 14 Kota Tangerang. The research subjects were students of class XI MIPA 5 at SMA Negeri 14 Kota Tangerang. Based on the research results, the learning media is suitable for use in the learning process because it fulfills the indicators of validity, practicality, and potential effects. The validity of learning media based on the evaluation of education experts is 86% and the evaluation of media experts is 86%. The practicality of learning media is 94%. The potential effect of learning media is seen from the student's response by 95%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan STEM pada materi program linear yang valid, praktis, dan memiliki efek potensial terhadap respon siswa. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan desain penelitian yaitu design research tipe development study. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 5 di SMA Negeri 14 Kota Tangerang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, media pembelajaran layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran karena memenuhi indikator kevalidian, kepraktisan, dan efek potensial. Kevalidan media pembelajaran berdasarkan penilaian ahli pendidikan sebesar 86% serta penilaian dari ahli media sebesar 86%. Kepraktisan media pembelajaran sebesar 94%. Efek potensial media pembelajaran dilihat dari respon siswa sebesar. 95%.

Abstract

This current research was aimed at analyzing and describing teacher’s scaffolding patterns applied to cooperative learning setting to help students solve mathematical problems. This research was designed qualitatively, recruiting a mathematics teacher of the eighth grade as the subject. Further, the instruments used to carry out the research comprised a test with HOTS questions, observation sheet, and interview guide. To identify the teacher’s scaffolding patterns, the target students were required to work on the HOTS test. Afterwards, they were grouped based on the level of difficulty they faced during working on the test. Next, the teacher provided the students with the scaffolding based on the students’ needs in each of the created groups. This research indicated that the scaffolding given to the group of students with no difficulty in solving the problem only covered a reviewing component. Meanwhile, to the group with the difficulty in executing the plans as arranged, the scaffolding comprised explaining, restructuring, and developing conceptual thinking components. At last, to the group with a sole ability to understand the problem, the whole components of scaffolding were of great necessity, including environmental provisions, explaining, reviewing, restructuring, and developing conceptual thinking.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan pola scaffolding guru pada setting pembelajaran kooperatif untuk membantu siswa memecahkan masalah. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan subjek guru matematika kelas VIII. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar tes soal HOTS, lembar observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Untuk mengetahui pola scaffolding guru, siswa diminta untuk mengerjakan tes HOTS. Kemudian siswa dikelompokkan sesuai dengan tingkat kesulitan yang dialami saat mengerjakan soal tersebut. Selanjutnya guru memberikan scaffolding sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa pada masing-masing kelompok. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa scaffolding pada kelompok siswa yang tidak mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan masalah, hanya pada komponen reviewing. Scaffolding pada kelompok siswa yang mengalami kesulitan pada tahap mengerjakan sesuai rencana, pada komponen explaining, restructuring dan developing conceptual thinking. Siswa yang hanya mampu memahami masalah, scaffolding yang diperlukan pada semua komponen yaitu environmental provisions, explaining, reviewing, restructuring dan developing conceptual thinking.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan media dan bahan ajar interaktif “Scan It” berbasis Geogebra. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga kelas  yaitu untuk uji coba, eksperimen, dan kontrol. Desain penelitian ini adalah Desain penelitian Nonrandomized Control Group, Pretest-Postest Desain. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah media dan bahan ajar interaktif “Scan It” berbasis geogebra valid, praktis, dan efektif. Peserta didik yang menunjukkan respon positif adalah sebanyak 96%. Sebanyak 58,3% peserta didik mengalami peningkatan kemampuan keruangan sedang dan 33,3% peserta didik mengalami peningkatan kemampuan keruangan tinggi.The research aims was to describe the process of developing media and interactive teaching materials "Scan It" based on Geogebra. This research was a development research. The development model used is the ADDIE development model. The subjects of this study were students of class XI SMK. This study used three classes, namely for trials, experiments, and controls. The research design was a nonrandomized control group research design, pretest-posttest design. The results of this research were media and interactive teaching materials "Scan It" based on geogebra, which were valid, practical, and effective. Students who showed a positive response were 96%. As many as 58.3% of students experienced an increase in moderate spatial abilities and 33.3% of students experienced an increase in high spatial abilities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pengembangan media pembelajaran dan menghasilkan media pembelajaran berbasis android yang berkualitas baik pada materi permutasi dan kombinasi kelas XII SMA, serta mendeskripsikan keefektifannya. Subjek penelitian untuk kelas uji coba adalah 5 siswa kelas XII dan 30 siswa kelas XI dengan 15 siswa kelas implementasi dan 15 siswa kelas nonimplementasi. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini adalah media pembelajaran berbasis android untuk pembelajaran permutasi dan kombinasi. Media pembelajaran dikembangkan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif diperoleh bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkualitas baik karena memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif pada tahap implementasi media pembelajaran berbasis android merupakan media pembelajaran yang efektif karena hasil tes peningkatan pemahaman siswa tuntas secara klasikal, serta terdapat perbedaan signifikan dengan siswa yang tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran.The aim of the research was describing the development of instructional media and producing good quality Android-based learning media on permutation and combination material of class XII high school, as well as describing the effectiveness. The research subjects for the pilot class were 5 students of class XII and 30 students of class XI with 15 students in the implementation class and 15 students in the non-implementation class. The Instructional media developed in this study are android-based instructional media for permutation and combination learning. Instructional media are developed using the ADDIE. Based on the results of descriptive analysis, it is found that the instrutional media developed are of good quality because they meet valid, practical, and effective criteria. Based on descriptive analysis at the implementation stage, android-based instructional media are effective because the test results of increasing students' understanding of classical completeness, and there are significant differences with students who do not use instructional media.

Abstract

The basic objective of the microteaching course is to support the implementation of apprenticeship 3 (teaching practice) in the seventh semester at school. So far, the practice of teaching in the classroom by students is often constrained by the readiness of students in preparing these teaching tools. To overcome these obstacles, it is necessary to design a didactic condition according to the obstacles experienced by students, to be able to guide students in carrying out teaching practices properly. This process requires planning (plan), implementation (do), and reflection (reflection) of learning so that the microteaching learning process is carried out based on lesson study. The purpose of this study was to develop a didactic design in microteaching learning for lesson study-based mathematics teacher candidates. The research method used is qualitative in the form of didactic design research. Based on the implementation of the didactic design of lesson study-based microteaching learning for prospective mathematics teacher students, it is concluded that this didactic design can be used as alternative learning to overcome the learning obstacles experienced by students in microteaching learning.Tujuan dasar dari mata kuliah microteaching adalah untuk mendukung pelaksanaan magang 3 (praktek mengajar) pada semester VII di sekolah. Sejauh ini, praktik mengajar di kelas yang dilakukan mahasiswa sering terkendala oleh kesiapan mahasiswa dalam mempersiapkan perangkat pengajaran tersebut. Untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut, perlu dirancang suatu kondisi didaktis sesuai hambatan yang dialami mahasiswa, agar mampu membimbing mahasiwa dalam melaksanakan praktik mengajar dengan baik dan benar. Proses tersebut membutuhkan perencanaan (plan), implementasi (do) dan refleksi (reflection) pembelajaran, sehingga proses pembelajaran microteaching dilakukan berbasis lesson study. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan desain didaktis pada pembelajaran microteaching bagi mahasiswa calon guru matematika berbasis lesson study. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif berupa penelitian desain didaktis. Berdasarkan implementasi desain didaktis pembelajaran microteacing berbasis lesson study pada mahasiswa calon guru matematika disimpulkan bahwa desain didaktis ini dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran untuk mengatasi hambatan belajar yang dialami mahasiswa pada pembelajaran microteaching.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning media product that contains the local wisdom of the Baduy tribe. The method used in this research is an ethnographic study to collect data about the Baduy tribe buildings that contain geometric elements. After the data was collected, the researcher used the instructional design research method in the form of the ADDIE model with the aim of making learning media by integrating the local wisdom of the Baduy Tribe in learning geometry based on previous ethnographic studies. The subjects in this study were the Baduy people, teachers, and grade 4 students of one of the elementary schools in Serang City. The results of this study indicate that learning geometry by integrating the local wisdom of the Baduy tribe is very effective in the learning process, so that the learning media product in the form of geomatics cards that are made is ready to be used and implemented in the concept of the plane figure in elementary schools. This research is expected to contribute to education, especially in creating effective learning by integrating culture in mathematics learning in elementary schools.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah produk media pembelajaran yang memuat kearifan lokal suku Baduy. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi etnografi untuk mengumpulkan data-data tentang bangunan suku Baduy yang memuat unsur geometri. Setelah data terkumpul, peneliti menggunakan metode instructional design research berupa model ADDIE dengan tujuan untuk membuat media pembelajaran dengan mengintegrasikan kearifan local Suku Baduy pada pembelajaran geometri berdasarkan kajian etnografi sebelumnya. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat Suku Baduy, guru dan siswa kelas 4 salah satu sekolah dasar di Kota Serang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran geometri dengan mengintegrasikan kearifan local Suku Baduy sangat efektif diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga produk media pembelajaran berupa kartu geomatika yang dibuat telah siap digunakan dan diimplementasikan pada  konsep bangun datar di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam dunia pendidikan khususnya dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang efektif dengan mengintegrasikan budaya pada pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran reflektif kuliah micro teaching Berbasis Unity of Science (UoS) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk menciptakan calon guru matematika profesional. Penelitian pengembangan dengan modivikasi model Plomp menghasilkan perangkat perkuliahan Micro Teaching  reflektif berbasis UoS baik RPS, SAP, bahan ajar dan instrumen penilaian. Uji kevalidan RPS sebesar 3,70, SAP sebesar 3,78, Bahan Ajar 4,00, Instrumen penilaian sebesar 3,83 dengan kriteria baik. Hasil uji kepraktisan RPS sebesar 4,75, SAP sebesar 4,53, Bahan Ajar sebesar 4,78, Instrumen penilaian sebesar 4,61 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Hasil uji keefektifan diperoleh =4,384 dan  =1,671 maka   dengan taraf signifikansi 5% dan dk= 55 dikatakan efektif. Berdasarkan analisis disimpulkan perangkat pembelajaran reflektif kuliah Micro Teaching berbasis UoS valid, praktis, dan efektif menciptakan calon guru matematika profesional.This research aims to produce reflective instuments for micro teaching lecture based on Unity of Science (UoS) that is valid, practical, and effective to get professional mathematics teacher candidates. This development research used a modification of Plomp Model to produce reflective equipments based on UoS that is RPS, SAP, teaching materials and assessment instruments. The results of validty test were RPS 3.71, SAP 3.78, teaching materials 4.00 and assessment instruments 3.83 in good criteria. The results of practically test were RPS 4.75, SAP 4.53, teaching materials 4.78 and assessment instruments 4.61 in very good criteria. The effectivenes is obtained tcount = 4.384 and ttable= 1.671 then tcount ttable with level significance of 5% and dk = 55, that is to be effective. Based on data, it can be concluded that reflective equipments based on UoS is valid, practical, and effective in producing professional mathematics teacher candidates.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical representation skills of students. This is evidenced by the mathematics learning achievement of Indonesian students in TIMSS and PISA which has not moved from the bottom 10 ranks. In learning mathematics, there are still some obstacles, including students who are still difficult to read mathematical expressions, errors in principles and procedures, not being able to connect one concept to another and difficulty communicating mathematical ideas / ideas. Mathematics learning based on android applications is an alternative idea that can be a solution to the problems above. This study aims to examine: (1) How is the application of Android-based mathematics learning (2) How is the process of mathematical representation and student responses in the application of Android-based mathematics learning. (3) How to anticipate learning that must be perfected to optimize student representation skills. This research method uses qualitative methods using instruments in the form of teacher observation sheets, student observation sheets, interview sheets and student understanding tests.Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya keterampilan representasi matematis siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan prestasi belajar matematika siswa Indonesia pada TIMSS dan PISA masih belum beranjak dari 10  peringkat terbawah. Di dalam pembelajaran matematika, masih ditemukan beberapa kendala diantaranya siswa masih sulit membaca ekspresi matematika, kesalahan prinsip dan prosedur, belum mampu menghubungkan antara satu konsep dengan konsep lainnya serta kesulitan dalam mengkomunikasikan gagasan/ide matematika. Pembelajaran matematika berbasis aplikasi android adalah salah satu gagasan alternatif yang dapat menjadi solusi permasalahan diatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji : (1) Bagaimanakah penerapan pembelajaran matematika berbasis Android(2) Bagaimanakah proses representasi matematis dan respon siswa dalam penerapan pembelajaran matematika berbasis Android. (3) Bagaimana antisipasi pembelajaran yang harus disempurnakan untuk mengoptimalkan keterampilan representasi siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar observasi guru, lembar observasi siswa, lembar wawancara dan tes pemahaman siswa.

Abstract

Braille geometry teaching materials have media that can be touched by low vision students' sense of touch. This study aims to obtain conclusions about the feasibility and description of braille geometry teaching materials for low vision students. This research was conducted at SLBA Bina Insani Bandar Lampung and MTsLB Yaketunis Yogyakarta. The research subjects were 10 low vision students and 4 teachers. The research instrument is a feasibility questionnaire for low vision teachers and students. From the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that: (1) required mathematics learning media contained in teaching materials for low vision students, (2)  braille geometry teaching materials get an average score of 91%, the appropriate category of material experts and learning, (3) braille geometry teaching materials obtained from students an average score of 86.6% included in the Very Appropriate category and from teachers with an average score of 94% included in the Very Eligible category.Bahan ajar geometri braille memiliki media yang dapat disentuh oleh indra peraba siswa low vision. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh kesimpulan tentang kelayakan dan gambaran bahan ajar geometri braille bagi siswa low vision. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SLBA Bina Insani Bandar Lampung dan MTsLB Yaketunis Yogyakarta. Subjek penelitian adalah 10 siswa low vision dan 4 guru. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket kelayakan guru dan siswa low vision. Dari hasil analisis data dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) dibutuhkan media pembelajaran matematika yang terdapat pada bahan ajar bagi siswa low vision, (2) bahan ajar geometri braille memperoleh skor rata-rata 91%, kategori sesuai ahli materi dan pembelajaran, (3) bahan ajar geometri braille yang diperoleh dari siswa rata-rata skor 86,6% termasuk dalam kategori Sangat Sesuai dan dari guru dengan skor rata-rata 94% termasuk dalam kategori Sangat Layak.

Abstract

In solving divergent mathematical problem, there is a different mental activity of formal cognitition. The activity is wel known as intuitive cognition or intuition. This study aims at exploring students’ intuition styles of Field Independent and Field Dependent when they solve divergent mathematical problems. The subjects of this study were GEEFT-test-selected students of MAN Model Banda Aceh who had intuition styles of Field Independent and Field Dependent. The findings of this study showed that field independent students used direct affirmatory intuition in understanding problems, direct and global anticipatory intuition in making plans for solutions, and global anticipatory intuition in solving divergent mathematical problems. On the other hand, field dependent students used direct affirmatory intuition in understanding problems, direct and global anticipatory intuition in making problem-solving plans, and anticipatory global intuition in re-examining divergent mathematical problem solving.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi intuisi siswa yang bergaya kognitif Field Independent dan Field Dependent saat memecahkan masalah matematika divergen. Dalam penelitian ini subjeknya adalah siswa MAN Model Banda Aceh yang memiliki gaya kognitif field independent dan field dependent,  dipilih menggunakan tes GEEFT. Temuan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa siswa field independent menggunakan intuisi afirmatori yang bersifat langsung dalam memahami masalah, dalam membuat rencan pemecahan menggunakan intuisi antisipatori bersifat langsung dan global, dan dalam memecahkan masalah matematika divergen menggunakan intuisi antisipatori yang bersifat global. Sedangkan siswa field dependent menggunakan intuisi afirmatori yang bersifat langsung dalam memahami masalah, dalam membuat rencana pemecahan masalah menggunakan intuisi antisipatori yang besifat langsung dan global, dan dalam memeriksa kembali pemecahan masalah matematika divergen menggunakan intuisi antisipatori yang bersifat global.
