Abstract

This study aimed to produce project-based learning Student Worksheets (LKPD) on social and cultural diversity material in Indonesia grade IV SDN 03 Pontianak Selatan which is suitable to be used to help the learning process in the independent curriculum. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method by adapting the ADDIE model. The subject of the study was a project-based learning LKPD on social and cultural diversity material in Indonesia, which was tested on 28 (twenty-eight) grade IV students and 2 grade IV teachers. Data collection techniques in this study are measurements and interviews—data measurement tools in the form of response questionnaires and interview guidelines. From the needs analysis, it was found that the LKPD used by teachers had not been designed by themselves; instead, they had been using available LKPDs. Teachers also complained when using these LKPDs because they did not explain the steps of the activities that students should do comprehensively. Additionally, teachers stated that materials containing various forms of social and cultural diversity in Indonesia are challenging to deliver due to the vast diversity spread throughout the Indonesian territory.  Before being tested, the product was validated by validators who then obtained a feasibility assessment of material expert validators on the content feasibility aspect of 91.25% with the "Very Valid" criteria, linguist validators on the linguistic feasibility aspect of 93% with the "Very Valid" criteria, and design experts on the graphic feasibility aspect of 95.71% with the "Very Valid" criteria. Furthermore, product trials through responses obtained "Very Decent" from teachers amounted to 95.83%. In comparison, responses from small group students amounted to 83.85% with the criteria "Very Good," and large group responses amounted to 86.75% with the criteria "Very Good". Thus, it is concluded that project-based learning student worksheets on social diversity and crocodile materials in Indonesia are very feasible to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

This research is a correlational study. The sampling technique is representative by applying a sampling technique. The sampling technique in this study uses probability sampling, a type of simple random sampling. Based on calculations using the Solvin formula, the sample from a population of 150 students amounted to 109. The sample members include fifth-grade students from public elementary schools in the Kenanga cluster area, West Jakarta. The independent variables in this study were reading interest and vocabulary mastery, while the dependent variable was the ability to write rhymes. Methods of data collection using test instruments and questionnaires. Research data analysis using descriptive statistics, correlation tests, and regression tests. Hypothesis testing uses the product moment test assisted by the SPSS program. The results showed that the correlation between interest in reading and ability to write rhymes obtained an r count of 0.766 while the r table with a significance level of 5% for n = 109 was 0.195. From the results of the correlation between vocabulary mastery and the ability to write rhymes, it was obtained that the r count was 0.823, while the r table with a significance level of 5% for n = 109 was 0.195. These results show the value of r count > r table or 0.823 > 0.195. The multiple correlation between reading interest and vocabulary mastery on the ability to write rhymes through multiple correlation testing obtained an R count of 0.865, while the r table at a significance level of 5% and n = 109 was 0.195. The analysis results show that the calculated R-value is greater than the table r value or 0.865 >0.195. This study concludes a positive and significant relationship between reading interest and vocabulary mastery on the ability to write rhymes. The researcher suggests that the school provides supporting facilities for reading activities for their students, including creating a school library and providing a varied collection of books to increase reading interest, which in turn can improve students' vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

Pancasila education in the independent curriculum is designed to build various personal and interpersonal student competencies. Learning must provide students with a challenging, fun, and meaningful learning experience. The selection of learning models based on the subject matter students learn is essential. With a qualitative approach, this research was carried out at SDN Sambi 1 Ringinrejo District to strengthen students' self-confidence and creative skills. This research was carried out with the research subjects of grade 5 students. The informants of this study were the principal, teacher and 6 learners. This is because, based on information from teachers, these students tend to be less active in learning and shy about conveying their ideas or ideas. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation and analyzed using a four-step process: data reduction, analysis, presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study show that the right strategy to strengthen self-confidence and creative skills is to apply the project citizen learning model, whose learning steps include identifying problems that exist in society, selecting problems as the focus of class studies, collecting information from various resource persons, portfolio development, and reflection. The results showed a correlation between applying the project citizen learning model and strengthening students' self-confidence and creative skills. Collecting information, group discussions, and preparing portfolios foster students' creative skills to create and solve problems that arise in everyday life, especially those related to the application of Pancasila values that occur in society.

Abstract

Two things must be considered to realize teacher professionalism: the teacher's thinking process and actions. These two things are very important and influence each other. The teacher's activity in providing scaffolding for students' questions is an action that certainly requires a thinking process. Among the research that has been carried out is teacher actions in providing scaffolding; however, there is no disclosure of teachers' thinking processes in helping students with difficulties in solving numeracy questions. Implementing questioning scaffolding in learning will help teachers create better learning and enrich the body of knowledge. This research reveals how the teacher's thinking process is predominantly contingent when scaffolding questions to students. This research uses scaffolding of teachers' thinking processes, which has never been researched before. This research uses a qualitative approach (grounded theory design), which is carried out in the context of mathematics learning. The research subjects were two teachers with dominant analytical contingent (GA) and intuitive contingent dominant (GI) characteristics. These two subjects were selected based on the results of very long observations of 12 teachers in Malang Raya, and only two met the research criteria. In general, it can be concluded that optimizing students' abilities to solve problems can be stimulated through the teacher's thinking process in providing scaffolding in the form of questions in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Utilizing limited and monotonous learning resources might trigger a loss of willingness to learn for students, and the inappropriate use of learning media can also affect the quality of learning. Moreover, in IPAS learning, especially energy material, concrete learning media is required to support learning. This research aims to develop cube-shaped media that will be developed into Mibogi (Mystery Box Energy Material) media. In addition, Mibogi media will also be tested to determine the feasibility and validity of Mibogi media as a learning media for IPAS. The ADDIE model development is applied in this research, and the stages are carried out sequentially. Two data collection techniques are: 1) employ a qualitative methodology using needs analysis, interview, and improvement input from experts, and 2) employ a quantitative approach using data processing of questionnaire answers into percentage values. The percentage value of this media is declared practical and very feasible based on the percentage value of 83% material experts and 96% media experts. When the outcomes of expert validation state that Mibogi media is considered practical and very feasible, the effectiveness test is given to educators, and the percentage value obtained is 85% with very feasible criteria. Then, implementing Mibogi to students on a limited scale test obtained 98% results, and a broad scale test obtained 93% results. Both show that Mibogi media is the perfect learning media for learning IPAS energy transformation material. Mibogimedia is as practical and feasible as IPAS learning in grade IV.
