Abstract

Implementing information technology is an effective, efficient way of conveying information in learning. The selection of digital modules as learning media is closely related to the rapid development of technology. The development of this digital module media is that the learning media available in schools have not varied, and digital modules based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) on style material have yet to be developed. The purposes of this study are as follows: (1) to develop digital media modules based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in science learning style material for fourth-grade elementary school students (2) to find out the quality and feasibility of digital media modules based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in science learning style material for fourth-grade elementary school students. This study belongs to the research and development (R&D) type by using the ADDIE development method. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire on the assessment results of expert validators, educators and students. Data analysis techniques using qualitative analysis techniques are carried out by describing the data obtained from criticism, suggestions, input and comments and quantitative data obtained from the results of the assessment sheet. The respondents referred to educators and students. The trial was conducted on students first explaining digital modules based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in science learning style material. Students could try out these digital modules. The results of the assessment of the quality of digital module media by media experts scored 92 "very good", material experts scored 86.6 "very good", learning experts scored 94.6 "very good," and linguists scored 78.6 " Good ". This digital module is very feasible to be used as teaching material for students.

Abstract

Students in the 21st-century era must have many skills. There needs to be learning that supports an independent curriculum and project-based learning. Meanwhile, schools still carry out their learning activities using the lecture method, which is less meaningful and has yet to explore students' abilities fully. STEM is a skill and knowledge acquired simultaneously by students. The aims of this study are that researchers want to obtain deeper information about 1) the background of STEM-based learning at SDI Aisyiyah, 2) the implementation of STEM-based learning at SDI Aisyiyah, and 3) the skills students acquire during STEM-based learning at SDI Aisyiyah. Researchers want to obtain more in-depth information about the background of learning in the school, the application of STEM learning in the school, and the skills that can be formed from STEM-based learning. This research uses a qualitative method whose data processing uses NVivo12. Nvivo 12 is the latest version of the application for processing qualitative research data. The research findings support 21st-century learning, project learning during a pandemic, implementing an independent curriculum, providing STEM training, creating fun learning and creating a low-cost STEM culture. STEM learning is held once a week. The syntax in STEM learning at SDI Aisyiyah is as follows: 1. The teacher selects and breaks down KD/TP in learning, 2. Giving triggering questions or problems, 3. Finding solutions or problem-solving by teachers and students, 4. Product design, 5. Product presentation or presentation, 6. Product correction and evaluation, and the last is product revision. Some of the skills that can be formed from STEM learning at SDI Aisyiyah are being able to work together, being able to think complexly, having an artistic spirit, being a more communicative, more creative child, being independent, etc.

Abstract

The learning module was developed because there was no teaching material in the form of a module based on local wisdom developed by the course lecturer. Therefore, through this research, it is expected to develop a learning module based on local wisdom. This research aims to develop a learning module suitable for use in teaching and to assess students' responses to the development of the learning module. They provide varied teaching materials to facilitate students' teaching and learning processes. This module was developed as a product through the Research and Development (RnD) method with the development process using the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages). Data collection instruments consist of validation sheets and questionnaires. The validation sheet is used to assess the validity of the product. The questionnaires are used to assess students' responses to the development of the interactive module. This research showed the feasibility of the research results in terms of validation by subject matter experts and language experts. The validation results of the material expert reached 88.57%, with a very feasible category. Meanwhile, the language expert validation results reached 93.33%, with a very feasible category. The survey results on students' interest in using the module reached 92.67%, with a very interested category. Based on the results, the learning module developed for elementary school reading and writing skills is highly suitable and attractive for teaching and learning.

Abstract

Technology provides changes in the application of student learning, which initially could only listen to explanations from teachers and understand material that only comes from textbooks. Still, with current technological developments, the information obtained is sourced from student books and interactive media. This research aims to produce interactive multimedia weather material for class 3 SDN Bareng 2 Malang and to analyze the validity, attractiveness, and effectiveness of class 3 SDN Bareng 2 Malang. This development research uses the ADDIE model to measure validity, effectiveness, and attractiveness later—interactive multimedia on whether the material was developed for grade 3 at the elementary school level. The results of the validity of multimedia obtained from material experts amounted to 93.75% and entered the criteria for a very valid eligibility level. Meanwhile, media experts are 88.3% in the very valid category. Then, the results of linguists are 90% and reach the criteria of very valid or appropriate to be used as learning media and can be tested in the field. Then, the results of the attractiveness of multimedia obtained 98.9% with desirable criteria. The effectiveness of getting a score from the pre-test in individual trials reached a score of 140. In the post-test, it achieved a score of 250. Furthermore, small group trials achieved 870 in the pre-test results. Then, the post-test results rose to 1350. The final test was the field trial to 2365, and then the post-test score increased to 3965. In conclusion, the pre-test and post-test scores increased from 62 students in grade 3 at SDN Bareng 2, which was 54.43% in the pre-test then 89.75% in the post-test.

Abstract

Cultural and civic literacy is part of the national literacy movement launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture in Indonesia. This initiative seeks to equip all Indonesian citizens with the essential skills to navigate and respond to the increasing diversity of the 21st century. The Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) study program at University Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (UMSIDA) recognizes the importance of this goal. It provides material content for learning about cultural and civic issues. Based on this, it is essential to conduct research on the cultural literacy and citizenship abilities of PGSD students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo in the 21st century to know the cultural literacy and citizenship abilities of students and provide references to further learning activities in developing cultural literacy and citizenship in PGSD students. The research was conducted in the 2021/2022 academic year, which is between February 2022 and June 2022. This research employed a descriptive study using the survey method with a sample of 136 semester II students who have taken civics courses. Data collection techniques were in the form of questionnaires and data analysis techniques using percentage techniques. The study results showed that the percentage shows 68.4%, namely, out of 136 students, 93 students have a relatively high range of scores in digital literacy skills and citizenship.

Abstract

This study identifies the limitations of conventional teaching methods, such as textbooks and lectures, in delivering Pancasila education to fourth-grade elementary school students. These methods could be more engaging and effective in improving students' learning outcomes and understanding of the subject matter. This research aims to develop an interactive and engaging E-module to enhance students' learning outcomes and understanding of Pancasila values. This research employed a developmental approach known as Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The validity of the E-module is assessed through expert validation involving media and subject matter experts. The evaluation results demonstrate the high validity of the developed Pancasila Education E-module, created using Canva for Education and assisted by Flip PDF Professional. The Aiken V index indicates a score of 0.87%, with all evaluation aspects falling within the 0.8 ≤ V ≤ 1 range. Moreover, the practicality of the E-module is confirmed, with a practicality level of 84.3%. The E-module was tested by teachers and fourth-grade students, with the involvement of the entire class. The test results show an improvement in students' learning outcomes, with an overall pretest percentage of 95.5% and a post-test percentage of 92.5%. Hence, the Pancasila Education E-module effectively enhances students' learning outcomes and understanding of Pancasila values. This research enriches the teaching methods of Pancasila education in fourth-grade elementary schools.

Abstract

Various problems arise in Natural Science learning in elementary school. One of them is not using teaching materials other than thematic package books and worksheet companion books. LKS books students purchase are printed in black and white on opaque paper. The material presented is still limited, particularly in relationships between living things in ecosystems. Practice questions are also limited, so the teacher has to provide additional questions. In addition, only a tiny proportion of students are independent. The rest still depend on the teacher and other students when given assignments or asked to work on problems. So, teaching materials must be presented to support learning activities with variations that interest students in practicality because the size is relatively small and can strengthen students' independent character. One type of teaching material that is suitable to be developed is a booklet. This research aims to develop booklets that are practical, valid, effective and can strengthen independent character. The type of research used is the ADDIE model development research, composed of 5 steps: analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate. Research data was obtained from teaching materials experts, material experts, teachers, and students at SDN Karangsari 2 Kota Blitar, with a total of 27 students. Data collection uses interviews, observations, documentary studies, questionnaires, and written tests. Booklet validation results data achieve very valid criteria where the average is 94.5%. The average practicality test results by students and teachers were 98.31% very practical. The effectiveness of booklets reached 77.47%, and the percentage of student independence reached 94.06%. After testing the booklet on students, a positive response was obtained; learning became more fun, exciting, and easy to understand. The booklet on the relationship between living things in ecosystems is very valid, convenient and effective, so they are suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, which has persisted for two years, has significantly impacted various sectors, including learning-related education. However, along with the decline in COVID-19 cases, the government has provided recommendations and the freedom for learning to be carried out with limited face-to-face meetings. One of the essential learning tools to support online and offline learning is digital learning media. Teachers and prospective teachers can develop digital learning media with four aspects, namely content, learning design, learning media and communication, as well as implementation power and user response. The aim of this study is to provide an in-depth description of the quality of content aspects, learning design and the construct of digital learning media for PGSD (Primary School Teacher Education) students. This research employed a qualitative research design. The research model used in this study is a descriptive model describing the quality of digital learning media developed by PGSD students. It was conducted at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang and the University of Borneo. The subjects in this study were UMM PGSD and Borneo University PGSD students. The instruments used in this study were observation guidelines, questionnaires, assessment instruments and interviews. The average quality of the content aspect reached 86%, the learning design aspect reached 83%, and the construct aspect reached 85%, all three of which showed outstanding results. The existence of digital learning media that has excellent quality in the teaching and learning process will increase students' learning motivation.

Abstract

The research aimed to explore and analyze strategies for fostering nationalistic attitudes in students of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program through a Behavioristic approach to learning Citizenship Education. The research method employed descriptive qualitative research with the aim of finding out behavioristic strategies for fostering a nationalistic attitude and how to foster a nationalistic attitude through a behavioristic approach. Techniques for collecting data through interviews and document analysis are related to the use of a Behavioristic approach in learning Citizenship Education. The findings indicated that an effective strategy for fostering nationalistic attitudes in students in the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program is through a Behavioristic approach. First, the use of positive reinforcement is an effective strategy for strengthening nationalist attitudes. In the learning context, positive reinforcement can be provided through recognition and appreciation for students' active participation in activities related to citizenship, such as flag ceremonies, national day commemorations, or citizenship projects. Second, learning that involves direct experience and practical application has also proven effective in fostering nationalistic attitudes. By presenting real situations that are relevant to national values, such as visits to historical places or participation in social activities related to society, students can directly experience nationalist values and internalize them. The implications of this research can be used as a guide for lecturers and instructors in designing learning strategies that can strengthen students' nationalist attitudes.

Abstract

In learning mathematics, students need help understanding geometric material. Students' success in learning geometric shapes is still low because the teacher uses teaching that is still conventional and has yet to implement innovative learning media. Important media used to support the learning process. This research aimed to analyze the media needs in learning geometric material in VA class at SDN Sambirejo 1, which followed the students' character and was practically used to provide a meaningful learning experience. This study employed qualitative research methods by analyzing descriptive data from interviews and observations with fifth-grade teachers and distributing student needs packages. The research found that there were still few learning media in schools, teachers used blackboards and books, no exciting media, especially for geometric material that could help students understand abstract material, and most students needed media in learning. Mathematics, especially geometric material, is needed to increase enthusiasm and motivation during learning. It can be interpreted that students and teachers need game-based media or games that are practical to support the mathematics learning process, predominantly geometric material.
