Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian rendahnya minat, aktivitas belajar mateatika siswa dan kinerja guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan minat, aktivitas belajar matematika siswa dan kinerja guru dengan menggunakan strategi Adversity Quotient pada pokok bahasan Bangun Ruang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII 4 SMP Negeri 1 Sayurmatinggi yang terdiri dari 16 siswa perempuan dan 5 siswa laki-laki. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes dan lembar observasi. Deskripsi nilai hasil tes belajar matematika sebelum menggunakan strategi Adversity Quotient masih belum memenuhi kriteria tuntan minimum (KKM) yaitu 75% mempunyai nilai rata-rata 69,24%. Hasil Penelitian setelah menggunakan strategi  Adversity Quotient yaitu dilihat hasil angket minat belajar matematika siswa siklus I dengan rata-rata sebesar 60,24% sedangkan rata-rata siklus II sebesar 81,78%. Dilihat hasil tes belajar matematika siklus I dengan persentase ketuntasan 61,90% sedangkan siklus II persentase ketuntasan sebesar 85,71%. Hasil observasi aktivitas siswa siklus I rata-rata sebesar 73,15% sedangkan rata-rata siklus II sebesar 87,38%.Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa menggunakan strategi Adversity Quotient dapat meningkatkan minat belajar matematika siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Sayurmatinggi pada pokok bahasan bangun ruang.

Abstract

This  research was conducted with the aim of analyzing and describing the mathematical, spatial visualization abilities of junior high school students in class VIII in solving spatial geometry math problems with the help of augmented reality-based applications in the categories of high, medium, and ability students. The research was conducted at SMPN 3 Karawang Barat, with a descriptive qualitative method. The process of collecting data was carried out using the test and interview methods to the research subjects. The results of the research show that high mathematical  spatial visualization skills have the characteristics of imagination, use of concepts, problem solving and pattern search that are quite good in solving problems. Then, the medium mathematical, spatial visualization ability has good imaginative characteristics. And those with low mathematical, spatial visualization skills have poor imagining characteristics, use of concepts, problem solving and pattern search and experience many difficulties in various cases.

Abstract

The ability of mathematical connections is needed by students, because mathematics is a unit, where mathematics material is related and related to other sciences. The purpose of this study is to improve students' mathematical connection skills through the application of geogebra-assisted brain based learning (BBL) on geometry transformation material. This research method is experimental research. This type of research is qualitative research. The population in this study were all students of SMP 253 Jakarta Class VIII for the academic year 2021/2022. The sample of this study consisted of one class VIII which was selected using random sampling technique. The instruments used in the study were tests, interviews and observations. The analytical technique used in this research is descriptive analysis. Activities in the analysis in this study are data reduction (data reduction), data presentation (data display), and conclusions. The validity of the data used with this research technique there are 3 namely persistence of observation, tringulas, peer checking. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be obtained from the application of Brain Based Learning (BBL) assisted by Geogebra in improving mathematical connection skills in class VIII class VIII SMP Negeri 253 Jakarta.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of ethnomathematical-based worksheets with a scientific approach to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The research type used is research and development with the ADDIE model. The validity test was carried out by using validator assessment data, the practicality test used a student response questionnaire, and the effectiveness test used a description test which was analyzed using N-Gain. The results showed that the worksheets developed were in the "Very Valid" category with a percentage score of 87%. Practicality test of LKS are "Very Practical" with a percentage score of 93%. The results of the LKS effectiveness test show an N-Gain score of 0.57 (Medium category) in improving student’s mathematical problem solving abilities (effectiveness criteria). It can be concluded that the ethnomathematics-based worksheets with a scientific approach to improve student's mathematical problem solving skills are valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This study aims to describe student errors in solving algebraic math problems in a new normal context. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects in this study were students of class VII A of SMPS Plus Lightning Literacy TP. 2021/2022. Test and interview methods were used as data collection methods. In order to obtain valid data, the researcher first checked the validity of the data using the time triangulation method. After obtaining valid data, the researcher analyzed the data and drew conclusions. From the results of the study, it was found that 1) Subject-A made 6 errors, namely: an error in writing a number symbol, an error in formulating an algebraic form, an error in simplifying, an error in carrying out the calculation process (determining the number of boxes) question number 2, an error in carrying out an operation division of integers (determining the number of boxes) question number 3, errors in the calculation process (determining the number of boxes) question number 4; 2) Subject-B made 3 mistakes, the errors were the same as subject-A, except for the error in writing the number symbol.

Abstract

The preliminary study at SMP Negeri 5 Pati obtained an average score of 33,44. This shows that the students' mathematical problem solving ability is still low. The purpose of this study was to test the average mathematical problem solving ability of class students who were given the Project Based Learning model assisted by the Lubuk ethnomathematics module which was better than the class with direct learning. The research method used was quantitative. Sampling with purposive sampling technique. Analysis of the data used the t-test of two independent samples. The results showed that the average mathematical problem solving ability of students who were taught the PjBL model assisted by the Lubuk ethnomathematics e-module was better than students who received direct learning. The conclusion of this study is that the PjBL model assisted by the Lubuk ethnomathematics e-module has an effect on students' mathematical problem solving abilities.

Abstract

Many students' perceptions indicate that mathematics is a difficult subject because it is always related to formulas and calculations. In addition, many students still have difficulty in solving story problems so that many make mistakes in doing them. Therefore, this study aims to describe the learning difficulties experienced by students in solving story problems, one of which is SPLTV material. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Procedures for data collection through tests, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the biggest difficulty experienced by students was difficulty in performing mathematical procedures with a percentage of 74%. The contributing factors are because students are less careful in carrying out calculations, using incorrect arithmetic operations resulting in inaccurate answers and the completion process is less clear, and inaccuracy in concluding the final answer

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the increase in students' creativity in learning mathematics through a learning model based on Concept Mind Mapping. This type of research is a classroom action research (PTK). The subjects in this study were students of class VII SMPN 6 Kotanopan Satu Atap. The results of the study after using Mind Mapping learning, namely the results of the first cycle test with a percentage of 41% while the second cycle the percentage of 82,35% increased by 41,35%. The results of the observation of student activity in the first cycle percentage 52,2% while the percentage of the second cycle 67,9% increased by 15,7%. And while the results of the observation of teacher activity in the first cycle the percentage was 55,45%, while the percentage of the second cycle was 81,8%, an increase of 26,35%. And it can be concluded that using a learning model based on Concept Mind Mapping can increase students' creativity in learning mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media for mathematics, especially in developing the ability of grade 1 elementary school students to perform arithmetic operations on integers using the game media Angry Bird Mathematics. The research method used in this study is the ADDIE model. The research instruments used included student observation sheets, questionnaires, and tests. The study results showed that the Angry Bird Mathematics learning media met the valid criteria as indicated by the results of expert validation, which were included in very good criteria. The practical criteria show that the Angry Bird Mathematics learning media is practically used in the learning process. Then for the indicator of the effectiveness of the learning media, it shows that the Angry Bird Mathematics learning media is effective because it can improve student learning outcomes before and after using the media.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement of students' conceptual understanding skills with MURDER collaborative learning and student responses to the application of MURDER collaborative learning. This research is a research experiment (quasi experimental design) with the design of non-equivalent control group design. The population is all students of grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Lalolae as much as 54 people. Sampling with a totally sampling technique obtained the VIIA class as the experimental class and the VIIB class as the control class. The hypothesis test indicates that at the level of the significance α = 0.05, the value of tcount = 3,863 > ttable = 2,022. That means that H0 rejected and H1 accepted. So it can be concluded that MURDER collaborative learning can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts. based on the results of the student response questionnaire analysis, the percentage of the average score for student responses was 84.68% and was included in the very good category.
