Jurnal Tematik merupakan media komunikasi para akademisi, guru dan pemerhati dunia pendidikan dalam perspektif kependidikan. Jurnal tematik merupakan hasil penelitian, refleksi dan kajian kritis yang aktual berkenaan dengan tema-tema pendidikan, seperti kebijakan atau regulasi pendidikan, kurikulum, inovasi pembelajaran (kajian materi, pendekatan, model, metode, media dan evaluasi belajar) dalam ruang lingkup pendidikan dasar. Terbit tiga kali dalam setahun yakni April, Agustus dan Desember. Terbit pertama kali untuk edisi April 2012. Jurnal Tematik adalah jurnal berkala ilmiah berisi tulisan yang diangkat dari hasil penelitian pendidikan dasar pada fokus aspek-aspek yang berkaitan dengan kependidikan. Jurnal tematik merupakan jurnal nasional bermitra bestari yang diterbitkan tiga kali setahun dalam bentuk cetak dan online oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Dasar Pascasarjana, Universitas Negeri Medan, Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model using concept maps on students' learning outcomes in sub-themes of housing objects rather than direct learning models. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The results showed that the jigsaw cooperative learning model using concept maps gave a higher influence on student science learning outcomes compared to the direct learning model with tcount = 4.351 and p = 0,000. The results of the analysis obtained science learning outcomes of students taught with a high-category jigsaw model with a mean gain score of 0.73 with a standard deviation of 0.099 and declared normal distribution (p = 0.581). Student science learning outcomes taught with direct learning models are classified into the medium category with an average gain score of 0.61 with a standard deviation of 0.122 and stated as normal distribution (p = 0.581). The two sample groups were stated to be from a homogeneous population with a value of p = 0.714, the cognitive domain of the experimental class students who developed after being taught the jigsaw type cooperative learning model using concept maps was C1 at 77.5% (high); C2 of 72.4% (high); C3 of 71.3% (high); C4 is 72.1% (high). Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out through the Real Work Role of School Supervisors that can improve Teacher Performance in Teaching and Learning Activities at SDN 091587 Volunteers. This school action research was carried out in 2 cycles with the application of a Realistic Approach. This research is a classroom action research study consisting of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of: planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of the study were 091587 elementary school teachers with volunteers. Data collection methods are used, observation sheets, observations, and photos. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the action cycle I with the application of a realistic approach through the supervision technique of class visits obtained an average grade of 76.1 with a percentage of 0% enough category and 100% enough category. This shows an increase in pre-action test results both in terms of average class and teacher performance. In the second cycle of action with the application of a realistic approach through the supervision technique of classroom visits, the average value of the class has increased by 91.9 and the observation value of teacher activity has increased to reach 100%. Thus it can be said that through the classroom visit supervision technique the application of a realistic approach to SD Negeri 091587 Volunteers has increased.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) generate a decent textbook to use, easy to learn and can be used for learners individual learning, (2) to determine the effectiveness of the developed textbooks on the subjects of Indonesian. This research is the development of a research model product development Borg and Gall combined with a model of Dick and Carey instructional design. The research method consisted of two phases, phase I trial of the product is comprised of: (1) validation of subject matter experts, (2) validation of expert instructional design, (3) individual trial, (4 ) small group testing, and (5) limited field trials; Phase II is a test of the effectiveness of the product by: (1) to test the normality of data research, (2) to test the homogeneity of the study data, (3) test the hypothesis of the study and (4) calculate efektiivtas textbook developed. The end product of the development of this teaching material continues to test the effectiveness of the product. The study was conducted on secondary school students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Talawi. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental methods. Study sample as many as 802 students consisting of 40 students as the experimental class taught using teaching material and 40 other students as a control class using the textbook as that goes far in the learning process. The test results proved the hypothesis that there are significant differences between student learning outcomes learn using teaching material with student learning outcomes to learn using textbooks. This is indicated by the value processing obtained = 8,8 > = 1,6689, with dk = (n1 + n2 -2) at significance level α = 0,05. It was concluded that the learning outcomes of students using teaching material learn by 96,8% higher than the group of students using the textbook learn of 81,1%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increased learning independence and social studies learning outcomes of students by using the mind mapping method in grade 5th of private setia elementary school of Eternal Budi Perbaungan. The type of research used is classroom action research. The results showed that before the implementation of the mind method mapping the learning independence of students was low with an average value of 6.25% which had learning independence. After using the mind mapping method in the first cycle, student learning independence increased with an average value of 46.88% having learning independence. In the second cycle with improvement in action, there was an increase in students' independence of learning with an average score of 87.50% capable of independent learning. This shows that the mind mapping method increases IPS learning independence by 37.25%. Furthermore, before the use of the mind mapping method, student learning outcomes are still under study completeness with an average score of 18.75% who are thoroughly studied. After using the mind mapping method in the first cycle, student learning outcomes increased with an average score of 56.26% thoroughly studied. In the second cycle there was an increase in student learning outcomes with an average learning score of 87.50%. This shows that the mind mapping method increases social studies learning outcomes by 18.09%.

Abstract

This research aims to knows: (1) difference improving the problem solving ability of Mathematical and disposition by using Realistic Mathematical approach and Inquiry Learning approach, (2) the process of student answers in solving problems related to problem solving skills and mathematical disposition through the approach of Realistic Mathematics and Inquiry Approach. The population of this research is all students of grade VI Public Elementary School 053984 Hinai Kanan District Langkat. The sample in this research was taken by purposive sampling. The sample of this research totals 50 students consisting of two classes i.e. VI-A and VI-B. Class VI-A as experimental class I and class VI-B as a experimental class II with 25 students each. The design used in this research is quasi experiment. The instrument used in this research is the test of mathematical solving ability and disposition. Analysis of data used T-Test assisted application SPSS 18.0 for windows. The results showed: (1) there is an increasing difference between the mathematical solving abilities taught by Realistic Mathematical and Inquiry Learning approach. (2) the process of student answers taught with Realistic Mathematics Approach is better than the process of student answers given through the Inquiry Learning approach.

Abstract

Kecenderungan anggapan siswa bahwa materi operasi pecahan yang dipelajari tidak bermanfaat dalam kehidupannya sehari-hari disebabkan  karena dalam proses belajar mengajar, guru menggunakan pendekatan konvensional. Alternatif dari solusi masalah tersebut adalah  pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual. Penelitian eksperimen dikelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Siantar menunjukkan hasil pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual (kelas eksperimen) lebih baik dan berbeda secara signifikan dari pembelajaran dengan pendekatan konvensional (kelas kontrol). Untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, disarankan guru mata pelajaran matematika memilih pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pembelajaran Quantum dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal bentuk-bentuk geometri di TK Salsabila Al-Fazira Binjai Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Class Room Action Research) yaitu suatu bentuk penelitian yang dilakukan guru untu memperbaiki proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini terdiri dari empat komponen, yaitu : (a) perencanaan (planning): (b) tindakan (action): (c) pengamatan (observing): (d) refleksi (reflecting). subyek dalam penelitan tindakan kelas ini adalah siswa kelas B di TK Salsabila Al-Fazira Binjai Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016 yang berjumlah 25 anak terdiri dari 12 anak laki-laki 13 anak perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari data observasi yang dilakukan pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran siklus I sebanyak 4 orang anak (16%) kemampuan mengenal bentuk-bentuk geometri termasuk kategori berkembang sesuai harapan, sebanyak 21 orang anak (84%) kemampuan mengenal bentuk-bentuk geometri anak termasuk kategori mulai berkembang dengan rata-rata nilai kelas yaitu 50. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian perlu dilanjutkan ke siklus II dengan perbaikan anak lebih aktif dengan pembelajaran quantum. Dari data observasi yang dilakukan pelaksanaan pembelajaran siklus II dapat dikemukakan bahwa sebanyak 4 orang anak (16%) kemampuan mengenal bentuk-bentuk geometri termasuk kategori berkembang sangat baik, dan sebanyak 21 orang anak (84%) kemampuan mengenal bentuk-bentuk geometri anak termasuk kategori berkembang sesuai harapan dengan rata-rata nilai kelas yaitu 73,50. Dari temuan data ini maka dapat dijelaskan bahwa secara klasikal kemampuan anak dalam mengenal bentuk-bentuk geometri berkembang sangat baik. Kata kunci: kemampuan mengenal bentuk geometri, pembelajaran quantum.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a computer media based on scientific learning to improve counting ability at 5-6 Years at TK Negeri Pembina 1 Medan. Kind of research is the research and development. The subject research is the students of group star-B at TK Pembina Negeri I Medan, amounting to 26 children. The results showed that (1) the level eligibility based computer media scientific study based on: a) the results of validation of the content matter experts on the feasibility of the developed instructional media are included in the category of "Very Good". b) the practical results of the teachers stated that all teachers need media-based computer scientific learning in the learning process while older children enjoy learning and make it easier for children to learn to count by using these learning media. (2) The results of the effectiveness of instructional media developed indicate that the numeracy skills of children after using computer media-based learning scientific higher compared to just using books and posters as a medium of learning in which the average value of initial tests of children, 59 and the final test increased to 79.23.

Abstract

This study aims to determine adolescent conformity behavior and attainment of adolescent self-identity through Assertive Training Techniques. This type of research is experimental research. The results showed that there was an influence on the use of assertive training techniques to reduce peers' conformity in class VII Puteri Sion Medan Medan. The average score of peer conformity scores at the pre-test = 52.7 while after the service (post-test) obtained an average score of peer conformity = 84.5. From the results of the study it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of assertive training techniques to reduce peer conformity in class VII Medan Daughter Middle School Academic Year 2012/2013. This was tested using the t test obtained from calculations with the results of tcount = 2.22719> ttable = 2.13, so the hypothesis proposed was "There is a positive influence on the use of assertive training techniques to reduce peer conformity in class VII Puteri Sion Medan Middle School " acceptable.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelas V SD Negeri 060885 Medan setelah penerapan pembelajaran CTL. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan dalam empat kali pertemuan. Masing-masing siklus terdiri atas empat langkah yaitu: (1) Perencanaan, (2) Tindakan, (3) Pengamatan, dan (4) Refleksi. Data observasi siswa dan guru dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan menggunakan lembar observasi keaktifan siswa dan guru, Adapun hasil belajar siswa dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa : 1) penerapan pembelajaran CTL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan peningkatan sebesar 58,17%, 2) penerapan pembelajaran CTL dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 19,72%.   Kata kunci : PTK, CTL, hasil belajar, aktivitas belajar
