Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate the EKSIS product, a learning media based on ecosystem materials designed to introduce the concept of ecosystems to third-grade elementary school students. The research method used is Design and Development (D&D), with the ADDIE development model consisting of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The validation instrument consists of a five-point Likert scale assessment sheet to measure the quality of the product from two main aspects: product design and content material. The validation results show that EKSIS received an average score of 5 for both assessed aspects, placing it in the "excellent" category. The product was deemed relevant to learning needs, supported curriculum achievements, and had an effective design that engaged students and enhanced their understanding of ecosystem materials. Based on these findings, EKSIS is considered suitable for use in the learning process. The use of this product is expected to help introduce the concept of ecosystems and provide an engaging and in-depth learning experience for students. This research significantly contributes to developing innovative learning media that align with educational needs in the digital era.

This research aims to (a) analyze the principal's supervision planning for teachers, (b) analyze the implementation of supervision by the school principal towards teachers, (c) analyze the evaluation of supervision by the principal of teachers, and (d) analyzing the follow-up supervision by the principal of teachers at SMPN 1 Kemuning, Kemuning district, Indragiri Hilir regency. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with descriptive qualitative research methods. The research informants consisted of (a) the principal of SMP Negeri 1 Kemuning, Indragiri Hilir regency as a key informant or core informant; (b) an educational assistant at SMP Negeri 1 Kemuning, Indragiri Hilir Regency as a key informant or core informant; and (c) teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Kemuning, Indragiri Hilir regency as control informants. Data collection techniques consist of observation and interviews. The research instruments used were observation sheets and interview lists. The data analysis technique in this research uses the Spradley model. The validity of the data in this research was carried out by source and time triangulation. The research results can be concluded that there are four stages in implementing supervision, namely that supervision planning has not been implemented optimally because the supervision time has not been maximized and the instruments to be used have not met supervision needs. Furthermore, the implementation of supervision by the teachers' principal at SMPN 1 Kemuning, Kemuning district, Indragiri Hilir regency, has gone well.

Abstract

School participation across regions in Indonesia reflects significant disparities in access to and quality of education. This study aims to analyze the relationship between digital accessibility and infrastructure on the critical thinking abilities of elementary school students in Bululawang Village, Blitar Regency. Despite being one of the smallest villages with a low population, it still reflects a substantial educational gap between elementary schools within the same locality. This research employs a comparative method with a quantitative-qualitative approach, collecting data through interviews, observations, documentation studies, and focus group discussions (FGD). The U Mann-Whitney test analysis results indicate a significant difference in the distribution of critical thinking abilities, with UPT SD N Bululawang 01 performing significantly better than UPT SD N Bululawang 02. Better infrastructure, such as adequate roads and facilities, contributes to superior outcomes compared to other schools that still rely on unpaved roads and limited facilities. Interview findings also indicate an accessibility gap affecting teachers and students, reinforcing the importance of equitable educational infrastructure. This research aligns with efforts to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, particularly in reducing technology-based educational disparities in rural areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Islamic Personal Development (IPD) program in fostering the character profile of Pancasila (CPP). The character of late childhood learners is still dynamic and responsive to environmental influences, so education is required for its development. One of the activities containing character education is the Islamic Personal Development program. This qualitative research uses a single case study design at non-government elementary schools in Bengkulu. The research data were collected through observations and interviews with the coordinator of Islamic Personal Development and class teachers. The data obtained were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analysis model, including selecting data by the research objectives, presenting data in tables and narratives, and linking data and information with relevant research to find conclusions. This research found five character profiles of Pancasila in IPD activities organized in elementary schools, namely: i) the character of faith, devotion to God Almighty, ii) global diversity, iii) cooperation, iv) critical reasoning, and v) independence. Islamic Personal Development activities can be an option for the character profile of the Pancasila program in character development for late childhood learners.
